by Lauren Marks
My partner, Sev, is my home in this world, who also makes more of this world my home. And thank God for Isaac, who I could not write about much because he only came on to the scene when this book was in its final stages, but who has quickly become the most important character in my life—and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
And one final note to the people who lived the events of the book right alongside me, but do not quite remember them in the exact way I told them. After all is said and done, who says my version is more right? Keep telling your versions exactly the way you remember them. Because I love your stories. I live for your stories.
