Ghosting You Page 31

by Alexander C. Eberhart

“You okay?” Nick asks, suddenly so close to me. His hand wraps around mine, and it’s everything that I need, wrapped in a single gesture.

“Better than okay,” I say, rolling the stone in my free hand. With a flick of my wrist, I send it sailing across the rippling current. But I don’t see how it goes, because after it’s left my hand, my fingers are twisted up in Nick’s curls as I pull him close to me.

Another kiss. Another bang to rival creation, spreading the celestial remnants of our love across the sky.

  Dear Reader,

Thank you so much for reading Ghosting You! I hope you laughed, cried, swore off carbs after eating an entire sleeve of Oreos, promised to vote in your next eligible election, and at last learned to love. If you failed to do any or all those things, I hope at least you enjoyed the book.

If you’d like to keep up with my latest projects and shenanigans, pop on over and sign up for my newsletter at my official website: www.alexanderceberhart.com. You’ll get exclusive updates on my Works In Progress, friendly reminders when a new book drops, the occasional cat video, and absolutely no spam (unless you’re into that kind of thing, no judgement.)

Want to help me personify the illusion I have friends? Follow me on social media! You can find all the links to my various and redundant SM Accounts on my aforementioned website.

Lastly, if you enjoyed reading this book (or using it as a doorstop, coaster, flyswatter, etc), please consider leaving a review or suggesting it to your local library!

Jokes aside, thank you for taking the time to humor me. You are the reason why I get to do this crazy thing I love. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my work for years to come.

  All the best,

  -Alex

Here we go again! I am beyond thrilled to be sharing Ghosting You with you all, but boy oh boy, was it a journey. And I have a list a mile long of people to thank for it, but for your sake, I’ll keep it short.

I have to shout a huge THANK YOU to everyone over at 7 Sisters Publishing, for believing in me and my vision for Tommy & Nick, as well as all of my hella gay projects. They are seriously the best and I cannot thank them enough.

In addition, I have to thank the owner of 7 Sisters Publishing, Martina McAtee, for her endless support and constant availability to me. I must wear the bitch out, but she never lets it show. Martina, you are the reason that all of this is possible and I can only hope I do you proud!

If you’ve read any of my previous books, you’ve probably heard me mention my incredibly talented Cover Designer/Editor/Formatter/Lord of the Rings Nerd, Molly Phipps. Molly, you make my words shine and my heart smile, and for that I am eternally grateful.

I’d also like to thank my editor, Patrick Hodges, for his hard work in getting Ghosting You as close to perfect as possible.

I want to thank those of my family that feel like friends, and those friends of mine that feel like family. You may be few, but the love I have for you is infinite. Thank you.

And lastly, a world of thanks to my Cecil. This is the first book that you’ve been with me from start to finish, and I cannot express how much your support has meant to me. From struggling through those rough first drafts, to teasing me about my grammar, I wouldn’t trade any of it away. You are the reason I’m better today than yesterday. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

ALEXANDER grew up in the Metro Atlanta Area, moving from suburb to suburb, just on the outskirts of the city. He’s always had a passion for writing, even from a young age. He still lives on the cusp of Atlanta, inching his way ever closer to finally becoming the City Dweller he’s always wanted to be.

In the meantime, he spends his days writing stories with queer characters and drinking an unfathomable amount of coffee. When he isn’t crafting quality queer fiction, you can find Alexander most likely curled up alongside his boyfriend, watching a movie or some other equally lazy task.
