Scar walked closer to Max. “Hey, hey! What are you doing?”

Scar looked down at Max’s member. Clearly he was erect and his package was begging to free itself from the wrapper. She gazed into Max’s eyes. He appeared to be afraid. His heart was beating so fast and her sense of hearing was elevated now that she was a vamp. Max’s fear didn’t deter Scar. She didn’t care. She wanted him one more time and she would have him. She was a big bad vamp and she could take any man she wanted.

She pulled her white tank tee over her head and tossed it. She bent to unbutton and unzip Max’s pants. She freed him from his boxers and pulled his pants down just enough to expose his hard dick. Her nipple brushed against his lips as she straddled Max’s lap. He wanted to wiggle in protest but his entire body felt heavy. He couldn’t move.

“Scar! What are you doing?” He could barely get the words out over the loud thump of his heartbeat.

“What do you think I’m doing?” Scar slid down Max’s dick until she hit the base.

“FUCK!” Max moaned into her icy neck. Max had heard of sex crazed horny vamps that fucked their victims before they ripped them to shreds. Was he really going to be one of them? He couldn’t really think about it at the moment. Scar was riding his cock and grinding into him making him weak at the knees. She held her hands on his shoulders as she seductively rolled back and forth taking all that he had to offer.

Max bit his bottom lip. He couldn’t believe a vampire was riding his cock. He couldn’t believe that vampire was Scar. He couldn’t believe how tight and wet she was. Scar’s nipple brushed his lips and Max bent his neck to try to take her breast deep into his mouth. Scar grabbed the back of Max’s head and directed his mouth to her swollen breast. She bounced up and down on Max’s throbbing cock as he sucked her entire breast deep into his throat.

Max was overheated and Scar’s cold skin felt good against his mouth. She was working him over and he was so close to filling her with cum. He wished his hands were free. He wasn’t in charge and this scared him and turned him on all in one breath.

“OH FUCK!” Max yelled out, as Scar moved at a speed that only a vampire was capable of. “OH FUCK!” He was so close to coming he had to release her breast and sit up straight. His body was stiff as a board. She bounced down hard and Max’s eyes opened to see Scar’s fangs out only inches from his face.

“SHITTTTT!!!” Max’s shot all his warm and plentiful cum into a vampire, into Scar. Max watched as Scar’s fangs pierced her own skin and the darkest blood dripped from her lips to her chin.

“AHHHHHH!!!” Scar squeaked and closed her red eyes.

Max’s eyes bulged. He thought Scar had an orgasm but he never seen a vampire come and didn’t have anything to compare it with. He couldn’t take his eyes off her fangs.

  “Don’t bite me.”

Scar opened her eyes. “I’m not going to bite you dumbass.”

The feeling of Scar contracting around his cock and willing the last drops of cum from him distracted Max. He watched her tongue as it licked the blood from her bottom lips and coated her fangs.

Scar placed both her hands on Max’s shoulders. She inched her body out and off of Max’s. She backed away as Max’s wet member fell down in his lap.

Scar grabbed her shirt off the ground and put it on. She grabbed his suit jacket off the floor and wiped the cum that had ran down the inside of her thighs. She tossed the suit jacket to the floor.

  “Seriously? Is that necessary?”

“You look like an ass in that monkey suit. I like you better in jeans.” Scar retrieved her leggings from the ground and slipped them on.

Max watched her cautiously. He wasn’t sure what to do or say. “You need to let me go.”

“Why so you can kill me?”

“I despise you and everything you are. I will kill you.”

“Not more than I despise myself.”

Scarlet knelt before Max. She pushed his penis back into his boxers. She zipped and buttoned his pants with care. She placed both her hands on his knees and examined his face closely.

“What? What are you doing?” Max didn’t know how to handle what happened minutes ago or what was happening now.

“Nothing, I’m doing nothing, Max, Hunter, Fox.”

“Scar.” Something about this moment made Max turn to on his survivor instinct. He knew his next words would probably be a mistake but he had to say them anyway. “I’m sorry. I tried to save you. I swear I did. I’m sorry I didn’t try hard enough.” Max hung his head.

  “Saying sorry doesn’t change a thing. You’re a hunter and I’m a vamp.”

“What are you going to do with me?”

“The ropes aren’t tight. Use your fox blood. You should be able to break free in five or ten minutes.”

Scarlet quickly jumped up on her feet. She slipped her feet into her boots and exited the abandoned farmhouse barn.

  CHAPTER 8

Ryan was driving alone down a rural road. It had been an awful long time since he had a hallucination. This revelation made him feel like he was going to be okay. He had survived a lot and this was something he thought about often.

He was cruising in Monica’s 2006 Ford Taurus. She offered him the car when she was at work. This worked out for Ryan because sometimes he needed alone time, time away from his meddlesome brother.

The sun had gone down. He left the library over an hour ago and he didn’t find anything of any value. He had a strange feeling come over him. He was holding his cell phone to his ear.

“Max where are you? I went to Patricia’s to look for you. You have to call me back. I have to get Monica from her job soon. Max pick up. Call as soon as you get this.”

Ryan ended the call. He tossed his cell on the passenger seat.

“Where the fuck is he?” He yelled out to no one.

He was getting more worried as time went on. He saw The Range Rover parked a block away form Patricia Breedlove’s house. There was no way Max would have just left his truck there. He even entered Patricia Breedlove’s home through the back entrance and still no sign of Max.

Up ahead Ryan saw a car pulled off on the side of the road. Ryan slowed down and pulled the Taurus behind the stranded car. He couldn’t find Max. Monica was at work and he could be a Good Samaritan for a few minutes.

He noticed the red haired cheerleader from the high school leaning on her parked car. He remembered she was the flirtatious one. The one that shared her age although they never asked her for it.

Ryan observed her rear driver’s tire was flat. He was a gentleman. He grabbed his cell off the seat and tucked it in his back pocket. He got out the car to help the teen with her tire. He walked up to the cheerleader. He noticed she was wearing sunglasses although the sun had gone down.

“Oh my god thanks for stopping. I have been out here like forever. I have a flat tire.”

  “Yeah I see that much.”

  “Yeah right. I’m Megan.”

“Okay Megan. So let me take a look and see what I can do.”

“Cool.” The cheerleader rocked up on her toes. “I don’t have a jack thing but I got a spare tire in the trunk, I think.”

Ryan hit the button on the key ring to pop the trunk to the Taurus. “I have a jack. I’ll take care of it.”

Ryan walked to his open trunk. He noticed the umbrella stroller in the truck. He pushed it aside to get to the jack. He grabbed the jack and walked back to the cheerleader’s flat tire.

“Mister you’re a lifesaver.” The girl praised as she watched his every move.

Ryan bent down to change the tire. Something gave him pause or was it someone. He glanced up at the cheerleader.

“Did you hit something on the road?”

  “Yeah I think so.”

Max knew that wasn’t true. The tire had been slashed with a sharp object.

“Hey could you get me a towel out the trunk of my car. I don’t want to get my jeans dirty.

  “Sure.” The cheerleader pranced pass
Ryan and headed to the rear of the Taurus. She looked in the trunk. No towel.

She turned to see Ryan standing behind her. Ryan shoved her into the trunk of the Taurus.

Ryan had his 9mm pointed at the frightened cheerleader. “Move and get this bullets soaked in holy water.

“You reek of deception, demon.” Ryan slapped the sunglasses off the cheerleader. Her eyes turned red. She was possessed by a demon.

“You’re one to talk, Mr. Fox.” The demon cheerleader wanted to leave the trunk but she was sure Ryan would make her suffer.

  “What do you want demon?”

  “I don’t want anything.”

  “I call bullshit.”

“No bullshit. I’m just supposed to be keeping my eyes on you.”

  “Why?”

“Because of this stupid demon kid.”

  “What about him?”

“Dude, you’re looking for him. Vampir is looking for him. He has no clue so I’m supposed to babysit you and report back if you and your dimwitted brother find the kid.”

“So Vampir doesn’t really know where the kid is.”

  “No.”

Ryan waved the gun from side to side. “Where is Vampir?”

“He’s close by but hiding. He moves around. That is why he sends low level demons and vampires to do his dirty work.”

  “What else?”

“That’s all I got. I shared info with you so I think you should let me out of this trunk.”

  “That’s not going to happen.”

“Look Fox, I didn’t have to share shit with you.”

“No you didn’t. I don’t make deals with demons.”

“Damn you. You can’t keep me in here forever.”

“Yeah but I can put a bullet in you and take away your pompons.”

  “What’s that mean?”

“It means I’m going to kill you.”

“You are going to kill my host body. I mean she’s just a kid.”

“Every demon on the planet has that same sob story.”

“Yeah but I didn’t damage this girl’s internal organs. She can live, grow up and be a soccer mom, politician or stripper. I don’t know.”

  “I don’t care.”

“I can jump this body, dumbass.”

“Do you see any other people you can jump into? We are out in the middle of nowhere. You have less than six minutes to jump into someone else. Do you see someone else around?”

“No but I rather take my chances.”

The demon saw Ryan as a potential host but he was off limits. He couldn’t be demon possessed. She wasn’t sure why. She wasn’t privy to that top-level info but Ryan was saved. There weren’t too many people on the saved list but he was one of them. He had an enchanted halo around him that was invisible to the naked eye but still there below the surface. It was like he was cloaked in magic.

“You can try but you will die.” Ryan took a step back. He didn’t want the blood to splatter on him. He realized he didn’t want to shoot the demon in the trunk. He would then have to clean the trunk.

“Get out.” He commanded as he held his gun on the demon. She stepped out of the trunk of the Taurus. “Walk!” He needed her away from the car.

Ryan had every intention of pulling the trigger but the redhead cheerleader’s body collapsed to the pavement.

“Crap!” Ryan spit. The demon had left the host body. A dense mist drifted through the air and disappeared.

The human body collapsed on the pavement on the shoulder of the road. Ryan bent to check the girls pulse. He placed his hand on her neck. She was still alive but barely. She might survive. He sure hoped so.

He removed his cell phone from his back pocket and dialed 911.

“I need help. There’s a drunk teenage girl passed out in her car. Come quick. She’s on Route 34 and Mitchell. She might be dead. Hurry!”

Ryan ended the call. He picked the limp teen body from the pavement. He swung her body over his shoulder.

Ryan walked her to her car and gently laid her on the back seat. Ryan locked and closed her car door. He jogged back to Monica’s car. He got in the drivers seat and started the ignition and sped off down the desolate road.

He couldn’t stick around. He wished the girl would survive the demon possession. She was young and probably healthy but demon possession was traumatic for the human body. Ryan wasn’t even sure how he survived it. His situation was completely unique. Drack was no regular demon. Hopefully the demon hadn’t been in the girl’s host body for a long time. Ryan could hope.

He had saved many over the course of his hunter career. He knew he couldn’t save them all.

  ***

Ryan drove around aimlessly looking for his brother. He feared the worse but knew if anybody could get out of a jam it was Max. It was getting late and Monica had finished her eight-hour shift at Dan’s Roadhouse.

Out of options Ryan went to pick Monica up and they headed back home. He pulled the Taurus into Monica’s driveway. Monica got out the passenger seat and walked to the front door. Max was sitting on the front porch steps.

Monica stopped at the top of the stairs and looked down at Max. “Ryan was really worried about you.”

Max looked up at Monica but didn’t respond. Monica passed him and went straight for the front door. She used her key to enter her house.

Ryan slowly walked up. He took the stairs two at a time and took a seat next to his troubled brother. He saw something on his face but he wasn’t going to let Max off for his disappearing act.

“Where the hell have you been? I’ve been calling you all day. I left you messages.”

“Scarlet Buckley.” Max said her name out loud too prove to himself what happen wasn’t a figment of his imagination.

  “What?”

  “Scarlet fucking Buckley.”

“What the hell? Is Scar alive?”

“Alive? Don’t you mean dead as a vampire.”

“What the hell is she doing here in Plano?”

“I assume she’s looking for Vampir but who knows.”

“Well tell me, what she say?”

  “Not much.”

“Start from the beginning. Tell me what—”

“I was snooping around at Patricia Breedlove’s. Scar snuck up behind me and knocked me out.”

“I went to Patricia’s and the truck was there. I broke into her house and you weren’t there.”

“No I wasn’t there because Scar the evil vampire took me to some barn while I was out cold.”

  “She kidnapped you?”

“Yeah.” Max shook his head in disbelief.

  “And than what?”

“Nothing really she left me alone to do whatever vampires do and I escaped.”

“Okay.” Ryan frowned and his customary worry lines formed on his forehead. Max’s story was fishy. It seemed that major parts of the story had been left out but Ryan decided against pressing is brother for more information.

“What did your research turn up?” Max changed the subject.

“I searched local newspapers ten years back and there was nothing out of the ordinary. These recent deaths are completely unusual for this town. They had only had one murder in the last twenty years before these mysterious deaths.”

“How come I’m not surprised? This town is deader than an embalmed corpse.”

“Ryan shrugged his agreement. “What did you find at Patricia’s, you know before Scar kidnapped you?”

  “Nothing really.” Max shrugged.

Something was off with Max. Ryan sensed this right away. He didn’t think Max was lying but he did believe that he had omitted a few the events of the day. He was too mentally exhausted to question Max any further.

  CHAPTER 9

Max had avoided Ryan and Monica’s little lovey-dovey breakfast time. He ate breakfast in his room and soon fell asleep. He wasn’t sure why he was so tired. He guessed that it might have something to do with being hit in the head. Possibly walking all those miles aft
er he was able to free himself from the ropes Scar tied him up with. Max so too tired to even talk after the long walk back to Patricia Breedlove’s to pick up his truck.

Max walked into the kitchen with a piece of paper in hand. Monica was sitting at the table mulling over bills.

“Where’s Ryan?” Max asked. He heard his brother leave the house but he wanted to be certain.

Monica looked up at him. “He took Cyan for ice cream.”

Max grimaced as he glared at her. He took a seat at the kitchen table across from Monica.

“Look lady. It’s time for you to spill the beans.”

  “What beans?”

  “Don’t play with me.”

Max slammed a copy of a birth certificate down on the kitchen table. Monica looked down at the document and then back into Max’s angry eyes.

  “You went through my things.”

“Not exactly. It doesn’t matter how I got it. Explain this.” Max picked the paper up off the table and waved it in her face.

  “What?”

“You know what. I read it.”

  “Good for you.” Monica sassed.

“Cyan, Ryan, you are so transparent.” Max cocked his head to the side.

“I don’t want to talk about it.”

“That Cyan kid is not your sister’s kid. Look sister, you’re listed on her birth certificate as the mother. I can read.” Max reads off the document. “The mother of one Cyan Riley Breedlove.” Max poked the paper with his finger and then slammed it down on the table.

There is a long uncomfortable silence. Monica’s eyes filled with tears. This seemed to irritate Max.

“Are you kidding me? That dumb bimbo trick doesn’t work on me. Save your tears. Is this my brother’s kid?”

  “Yes she is.”

Max stared at her with a firm intensity. “Are you sure?”

  “Yes I’m sure.”

“I’m sure you get around. Your skimpy uniform at the bar.”

  “Of course I’m sure.”
