“Please…” I murmured. I felt like I would explode if he didn’t take me now.

Gently, with a softness I didn’t know he was capable of Vince brushed his hand on my cheek.

“Don’t worry this is not how it’s going to end,” he said.

In the next moment, he pulled himself away from me and was grabbing me by my waist. He tugged me down to the edge of the counter. Once again, he was wedged between my dangling legs. But this time, he lifted them up by my knees and wrapped them around his torso.

I gulped, staring at him as he positioned me the way he wanted me.

His cock, his big throbbing cock was charged up between his thighs. I stared at it now, salivating at the thought of him being inside me.

My legs were stretched aside, wrapped around him and now his cock was just a few inches away from my pussy. I watched like it was happening in slow motion as he brought himself closer to me, pushing his cock inch by inch, deeper inside me. His cock pushed my pussy folds aside, and the deeper he filled me, the more I moaned.

I already knew what having him inside me felt like, but I still wasn't expecting it to feel this good! I thought I was dreaming and then he started moving.

Vince was thrusting himself inside me. He was moving in and out, in a sharp jackhammering motion. It was rough and strong, and with every pump he made, he pushed me closer and closer to the edge.

It was how I wanted him.

Since that first night, I had spent every sleeping and many waking moments thinking about him. Now that he was inside me, I wanted him to lay claim of me.

I could feel my orgasm building up with every thrust. He was filling me up. His big strong cock was in me so deep, and I knew I would come any moment now.

  And I did.

I scratched his bare muscular back as I came, and cried out his name. Then I felt Vince jerk, and he was coming too. He was emptying himself inside me. His cock jerked and thrust, and I felt his cum fill me up, and his seed nestling deep inside me.

I was dripping our juices from my pussy as he pulled himself out. I could still feel the length of him. Then I felt his full strength on me as he lifted himself up.

It felt like it had ended almost as quickly as it had begun. I felt breathless, not only from the exertion but also from the knowledge that I had just slept with a client.

Of course, it had to be my famous football player client. Was this why he invited me to his place? This wasn’t about candid photography at all!

  Chapter 10

  Vince

After I had come inside her, I stepped away from the counter, staring at her beautiful naked body. Beth sat up, pulling her legs up quickly and looking shy. A few moments ago, she was moaning and asking for more, and now she looked preoccupied.

I ran a hand through my hair. She was refusing to meet my eyes. So, I started collecting her clothes off the floor and handed them to her. She took them from me. As I was getting dressed, I turned away to give her some privacy, not that she needed it. I knew every inch of her body, and I was beginning to feel like I was addicted to it now.

After I had my clothes on, I washed my hands in the sink, and I returned to finish cooking my meal. Most of the sauce had dried out, so I added more water and a bit of soy sauce. I needed to pay attention to this dish, or it was going to be inedible.

Behind me, I could hear Beth putting on her clothes. Then I heard the sound of her feet hitting the floor. I looked over my shoulder at her.

“The bathroom’s in there if you want to use it,” I suggested. She followed my gaze and nodded. Then she was gone for a few moments before she re-emerged in the kitchen again.

I wasn’t at all prepared with what I wanted to say. I knew I had to say something. She still wasn’t looking at me in the eye. I could sense she was embarrassed.

I lowered the heat to the wok and turned to her. Beth was in the process of tying her wavy chestnut hair in a messy bun on the top of her head.

“You don’t have to say anything,” she said quickly. I clamped my mouth shut in confusion.

“I know all of this whole thing is just one big mess, and it’s not your fault.”

I crossed my brows. None of this seemed like a mess to me.

It was amazing that even though I had fucked her twice already, I still wanted to keep seeing her. I wasn’t bored of her. She was different. There was something about Beth that kept me on my toes. I wanted to get to know her.

“This shouldn’t have happened,” she added. Beth was glaring at me now. Her green eyes were narrowed, and she had an expression of guilt on her face. That was not what I was going to say.

This should have happened. This definitely should have happened. It felt too good to ignore!

“Okay,” I responded, and Beth sighed, shaking her head like she couldn’t believe her life.

“I’m supposed to be working. I should have told Nathan the truth. I should have told him that I knew you and that we have a history…”

Beth was muttering to herself now as she started collecting her things. I had no idea who Nathan was, and why she was beating herself up about him.

“Excuse me?” I tried, and she snapped her head around to look at me.

“I should go, is what I’m saying,” she said.

  “Now?” I asked.

  “Yes.”

I watched her as she packed up her camera and all its paraphernalia.

“But you haven’t eaten yet,” I tried. Beth looked at me, fixing me with a determined, firm gaze.

“I didn’t come here for the food, Vince. I came here to do my job.”

I clenched my jaw and glared back. So, this was how it was going to be?

For the first time, when I thought I needed something more than just a casual fuck the Universe was going to slap me in the face and remind me what I was destined for.

“Right, okay,” I said and went back to the wok.

I didn’t look at her again, not until she’d finished packing up.

“I’m going to leave,” she said.

Beth’s face looked strained. Her eyes looked exhausted as she stood there. Was she sleeping? Had she been eating?

I wanted to throw my arms around her and hold her to my chest. I wanted to comfort this woman, but all she wanted to do was pull away from me. I wanted to tell her just how fantastic sleeping with her had felt.

“I’m not going to stop you, Beth,” I replied to her, and she gulped.

“I will need some photographs tomorrow as well. Do you have plans?” she asked.

“I have a Charity Gala in the evening, if that helps,” I said, and Beth’s face seemed to light up for a moment.

  “That would work perfectly.”

“I’ll arrange a pass for you.”

She nodded, and pasting a polite smile on her face, she collected her things and started to leave.

“Good night, Beth,” I said. Then she threw me one last look before she walked herself to my front door.

She was right, now this was beginning to feel like a mistake after how awkward she made it. In the first afterglow of sex, I wanted nothing more than to be lying with her on the kitchen floor, our limbs entwined. I wanted to eat with her, drink with her, carry her to my bed and wake up with her so I could undress her in the morning again.

But within moments, she had changed the atmosphere between us.

If it was such a bad idea then why did it feel so good when I was inside her?

Trying to salvage the stir fry was no use. It was ruined.

I dumped the whole thing in the bin and ate some popcorn and a few old slices of pizza from the fridge instead.

Comfort food. What was happening to me? Since when did I need comfort food after sex?

  Chapter 11

  Beth

I was glad I wore the best dress that I had packed with me for the trip. When Vince said it was going to be a charity gala, I expected it to be fancy, but I felt entirely out of place when I walked in.

  For starters,
I was underdressed. I had nothing but the simple black floor-length dress and a small pair of gold earrings to adorn me. Thankfully, I’d also packed a pair of gold stilettos, which peeped through the slit of my dress. Other than that, I was pretty bare.

The other women at the gala were in beautiful luxury designer dresses and gowns, with diamonds on their necks and ears. There was a red carpet entrance that I rushed through because I wanted to avoid having my photographs taken by the paparazzi. Nobody knew who I was.

Instead, I remained in the background, waiting for Vince to arrive. When he did, a valet swiftly took away his car, and he hurried down the red carpet like he was trying to avoid the cameras too. He caught my eye at the entrance to the museum and came up to me.

His eyes scanned me quickly, and I felt an electric sensation pulse through my body as I looked back at him an then away. Last night was a mistake I wouldn’t allow it to be repeated. I needed to keep my distance from him.

“Hello, Beth, you look beautiful tonight.”

That was all he needed to say, and I was blushing furiously.

“You look good yourself,” I told him, and it was the truth.

He was in a smart dark tuxedo, that fit him perfectly. He was clean shaven tonight, and his brown eyes sparkled in the flashes of the cameras behind us. I was drooling. I knew I was, as much as I tried to hide it.

“Good, more opportunity for you to take pictures of me,” he said with a grin.

Then he was leading me inside. The museum was beautifully decorated for the gala, with crystal chandeliers and marble statues dotting the floor. A stage had been set up at the end of the room and servers in uniform were carrying trays of appetizers and drinks.

Vince was leading me straight to a group of people who were standing together, laughing and chatting.

“Everyone!” he exclaimed, to catch their attention. I didn’t know what to expect, but I could sense he was about to make introductions.

“This is Beth Thomas. She is my newly appointed social media marketer…is that what it’s called?” he turned to me. I shrugged and smiled at the others. They were all staring at me with curious expressions on their faces. It seemed like they weren’t accustomed to having Vince introduce them to many women.

“And these are the guys, Sawyer and Faye, Isaac and Margo, Cliff and Piper.”

I shook their hands and smiled even more extensively, trying to remember their names.

“So, you’re the one responsible for those amazing photographs we saw of Vince online?” the woman named Margo said. I looked at Vince nervously, and he nodded.

“She’s getting me more comfortable in front of the camera too,” he said, and I thought I detected a glimmer of pride in his eyes. Was he showing me off? I was blushing deeper, trying to stop my mind from heading in that direction.

“Vince in an apron. I would have paid serious money to see that!” Cliff commented while the others laughed.

“You’re doing an excellent job, Beth. We’ve been trying to get him to go online for a long time now, just to stay in touch with reality, you know?” Faye said, and I saw Vince roll his eyes.

“You think that is reality? Virtual reality? What is wrong with the world? What kind of creatures are we turning into? I’m not going to let my kids touch a cell phone or a computer until they’re grown adults!” he blurted.

When he had finished speaking, all of us just stared at him. I was surprised by his outburst, but his friends were even more in shock.

“Your kids?” Sawyer asked. Vince clenched his jaw.

“You know what I mean!” he snapped. Was he thinking of kids? He hadn’t struck me as someone who would.

“No, enlighten us, man. What do you mean by your kids?” Isaac said.

Vince breathed in deeply, and instead of replying to them, he looked at me.

“I thought you wanted photographs of me with my friends,” he said.

I took a moment to orient myself again. This conversation had taken a sudden strange turn.

  “Yeah!”

I readied my phone camera and clicked away as they posed together. They were all smiling, but Vince looked like he was forcing himself. I could sense he was feeling awkward because of the conversation.

I wished I could just tell him that it was okay to think about the future. I did it all the time.

Instead, Vince spent a few more minutes speaking to his friends, and then he walked away, leaving me with them.

“He’s donating his jersey to the charity.”

It was Faye beside me now. The others were talking amongst themselves, and she’d taken the initiative to mingle.

“Oh, that’s a lovely gesture,” I said, and Faye had a friendly smile on her face.

“Yeah, most of the times he pretends like he’s this big tough guy who wants to be left alone, but really, he’s just a teddy bear. I’ve known him for nearly five years now, and it’s amazing how he has no idea what he wants,” Faye continued.

I was staring at her while she spoke. The people around us had started clapping now. Vince was getting up on stage. I was unsure why Faye had chosen to say those things to me about him. After all, what we shared was a purely professional relationship. I had no business knowing what he was like as a person and yet, one of his best friends was taking the trouble to sell him to me.

What did they see that I didn’t?

  * * *

At the gala, I saw Vince in a whole new light. Up on stage, he was humble and generous as he donated his jersey to a charitable cause he supported and off stage, he was having fun and laughing with his friends.

Unlike the first impression I had of him when we first met in Miami Vince wasn’t the arrogant and cocky womanizer that I thought he was. At least that wasn’t all he was. He had a friendlier and warmer side to him that I was now getting to see.

I managed to get some lovely shots of him and his friends interacting with the who’s-who of Boston. I was constantly updating his social media accounts with these pictures, and the interaction with his profiles online was skyrocketing. His fans were loving seeing this new side of him too, just like I was.

By the end of the night, I was ready to take my heels off and relax. Slowly, people were beginning to leave the venue, and I could sense that Vince and his friends were making to go too.

“I think I’m going to get a cab. We’ve taken enough photos for tonight,” I declared to the group.

“You don’t need to take a cab, I’ll drive you to your hotel,” Vince suggested. I would have said no, but I couldn’t refuse him in front of his friends. Or that could have just been an excuse I was making to myself.

Vince took his leave from his acquaintances and his friends, and then he led me out. There were cameras and paparazzi there, and Vince caught my hand to guide me down quickly past all the shutters.

A valet had already brought his car around, and Vince held the door open for me so I could jump in. Within moments, he had joined me on the other side.

He was shaking his head when he sat down.

“I don’t know who enjoys this constant hounding by the media!”

“You do a good job of avoiding them,” I said as he started the car.

“I’ve developed strategies over the years. My best and most thought out strategy of them all is to not go to any public events.”

I laughed a little at that.

We were driving in the direction of my hotel, while I sat beside him, feeling nervous and excited at the same time. Seeing Vince tonight in a different element had made me feel even more attracted to him like I didn’t want him enough already!

I couldn’t get him out of my mind. I couldn’t get my body to stop wanting his touch. And now, with him beside me, that feeling increased in intensity.

We made small talk as he drove. Talking a little about his lovely friends and a little about the charity he supported. I hadn’t realized Vince cared so much about our oceans and sea-life.

I was still engrossed in what he w
as saying when he stopped the car, parking it at the door of my hotel. I hadn’t realized how quickly the minutes had just flown by, and now it was time for me to go.

“Anyway…I guess that’s it for tonight,” he said. Vince was looking into my eyes, and there was a light smile on his face. He was searching my eyes, maybe he could see in them how much I wanted him.

“I guess so,” I said, and he didn’t take his eyes off me.

“Thank you for joining me at the gala tonight, Beth. It was nice having you there,” he said.

Why did he have to say that?

His voice, his words, it all made me melt. I didn’t know what was happening to me, but I could sense myself breaking down. I wanted him, and I knew he wanted me too. Once…twice! It wasn’t enough. Maybe third time would be the charm.

  “I had fun too.”

Vince smiled and unlocked my door. He was giving me an opportunity to leave.

“Do you want to come upstairs?” I asked.

There was a moment while he looked at me when Vince was surprised. Then, in the next moment, he was already getting out of the car.

  Chapter 12

  Vince

The last thing I expected from tonight, was for Beth to invite me up to her hotel room. But she had, and now we were standing there, staring at each other. I slammed the door shut behind me and stalked in to join her as she took her shiny gold stilettos off.

All night I watched her, and wanted her. She seemed to float around the gala. I could tell that she was strong and sweet and kind by the way that she talked to the others at the fundraiser gala. She was so close to me and yet so far out of my reach. But now she was here, waiting for me to touch her.

Her black dress fit her beautifully, accentuating every curve of her petite, shapely body. She was watching me too. Her shoulders were heaving gently.

I didn’t think this would happen again. I thought Beth had made up her mind about me already, but then she was full of surprises.
