“What about the barn?” Rebecca nodded towards the nearby structure, which was constructed from steel beams and corrugated sheet steel and was in much better repair.

“It looks a better bet.” Maxine agreed and pulled the gear stick into reverse, backing into it and switching the engine off. They climbed out. The sun was low in the sky and it would be dark soon.

“Should we start a fire going?” Ethan suggested.

“Yes, if you want your throat cut in your sleep by the first bandit that drives past.” Maxine told him. “How exactly have you survived all these years with that kind of thinking?”

“Just lucky I guess.” Ethan shrugged before brightening. “If we can’t light a fire, then we have no other choice. We’ll just have to huddle together to share bodily warmth.”

“Unbelievable.” Maxine rolled her eyes, but couldn’t help but smile.

Maxine lay on her side in the darkness, hearing only the soft breathing of her two sleeping companions. Her body was pressed tightly against Ethan's back, who was in turn spooning Rebecca. She wondered how long she had laid awake like this. An hour, two hours? If she had been alone, she would have masturbated and been asleep within minutes of the blissful release of her climax, but she didn't dare with company so close to hand. She listened again to their even, soft breathing. She convinced herself that they must be asleep and if she was to touch herself, she would not be discovered. Her left arm was resting on Ethan's hip underneath the blanket, while her right was trapped between Ethan's back and her front. She pulled away slightly from Ethan and allowed her right hand to slip between her legs, her fingertips running through the curly thatch of her pubic hair. She lightly bit her lower lip as she found the sensitive nub of her clit and began to gently rub herself. The excitement of touching herself while so close to Ethan and Rebecca was exhilarating and she soon found herself rapidly approaching an orgasm. Almost subconsciously, she found her left hand sliding around Ethan's waist towards his groin. As she reached for his cock, her eyes widened as her fingers instead touched a hand, the delicate fingers tightly wrapped around Ethan's engorged cock. Maxine stifled a gasp. Rebecca had reached behind her back and was gently stroking Ethan's shaft. Recovering from her initial surprise, Maxine smiled to herself and reached lower, gently running her fingers over Ethan's balls while she resumed stroking her clit with her other hand. Ethan let out a moan as he enjoyed the attentions of both women, rolling onto his back. Maxine sat up and moved to sit astride Ethan.

"Not this time." Rebecca smiled in the darkness, climbing onto Ethan herself. "It's my turn." With that, she lowered herself down onto Ethan's hard cock, guiding him inside her. She gasped as she sat down on him, impaling herself on his rigid shaft, her long blonde hair cascading down to the tops of her pert breasts. Maxine watched the pair of them, Ethan barely visible in the darkness, while Rebecca's creamy flesh was illuminated by a shaft of moonlight shining through a hole in the barn roof. Ethan grunted in pleasure as Rebecca began to ride up and down on him, her small breasts bouncing slightly in time with her movements. Maxine worked her fingers between her thighs, rubbing the sensitive nub of her clitoris faster and faster, feeling her impending climax swiftly approaching while she watched. Rebecca moaned in pleasure as she arched her back, rolling her hips around Ethan's pelvis, taking his length inside right up to the hilt. Ethan reached out, his hands cupping her breasts. Rebecca leaned forward, a smile creeping across her face as Ethan teased her hardened nipples with his thumbs. Maxine bit down on her lower lip and squeezed her eyes shut, her body shuddering as her orgasm swept through her body. A satisfied moan escaped her lips as she relaxed in the afterglow of her climax. She opened her eyes to find Rebecca and Ethan gazing across, smiling at her. She smiled back, feeling herself blush in the darkness.

"Now where were we?" Rebecca turned back to Ethan and resumed riding him.

“You’re not much of a lesbian are you Rebecca?” Maxine remarked, jealously watching the pretty blonde riding Ethan with wild abandon.

“Who said I was a lesbian?” Rebecca replied breathlessly. “I just like to keep my options open. Besides, sometimes there’s no substitute for a big, thick hard cock buried deep inside you.”

Maxine smiled and sat up, watching intently. Feeling a little side-lined, she reached back between Ethan's legs and began to gently massage his balls.

"Oh fuck, that feels good." He moaned. Maxine reached her other hand between Rebecca's legs and found her clit. As she caressed the sensitive nub, Rebecca moaned with delight and reached for Maxine. Maxine leant into her and they kissed passionately, their lips locked together. With the added visual stimulus, Ethan's moans intensified and Maxine broke the kiss, turning to look at him. His face was flushed, his brow glistening with perspiration and his breathing rapid.

"You’re getting close aren’t you Ethan?" Rebecca teased. "Come inside me. I want to feel you fill me with your thick, creamy seed."

"Fuuuuuuck!" Ethan exclaimed before grabbing Rebecca's hips and thrusting up into her as deeply as he could before crying out in ecstasy as he reached his climax, pumping his seed deep into Rebecca's pussy. Rebecca, stimulated by the cock inside her and Maxine's fingers at her clit arched her back and cried out into the night as she joined him, reaching her own orgasm. Maxine listened to them both panting as they caught their breath, Rebecca’s body glistening with perspiration in the moonlight. Rebecca smiled and leaned towards her. Maxine responded, pressing her lips to the younger woman’s mouth, tongues darting between each other’s lips. After a moment, Rebecca pulled back and gingerly climbed off Ethan, his wilting cock slapping wetly against his belly. Both Maxine and Rebecca lay back down either side of Ethan and within minutes, they had all drifted off to sleep.

  Chapter 11

The red and orange glow on the horizon heralded dawn’s arrival and they quickly made ready. Maxine climbed into the driver’s seat, Rebecca again riding shotgun and Ethan in the back. They rejoined the road and headed towards the rising sun.

“We’re nearly to the coast.” Maxine looked in the rear view mirror at Ethan. “Can’t you tell us what’s at the end of this wild goose chase?

“Not yet.” Ethan smiled. “But trust me, this is no wild goose chase.”

“It better not be.” Maxine growled. “If you’ve been wasting my time and fuel, I’ll gut you and leave you to bleed out on your precious beach.” Ethan lips curled in a smile and even Rebecca snorted at the obviously empty threat. Maxine scowled, angry that her bravado no longer held any weight with her companions. As Ethan too stifled a laugh, she couldn’t help herself and she smiled too. “Okay, okay, but I’ll be really pissed off!”

“Be safe in the knowledge that my guts and your good spirits will be intact.” Ethan replied. They passed a splintered billboard by the side of the road, washed out shreds of torn paper still clinging to it in places, but holding no clue as to what it had once advertised. As they passed it, there was a loud bang and Maxine glanced in her driver side mirror. A bandit had been concealed behind the billboard and had fired a flare gun into the sky. The flare arced up into the dawn sky before it flashed red, slowly descending back towards the ground.

“Should we go back and shoot him?” Ethan asked.

“Too late.” Maxine told him. The bandit had climbed onto a motorbike and was already accelerating away in the opposite direction. “Besides, the damage is done. They will be waiting to ambush us up ahead somewhere.” Off to the right side of the road in the distance, Maxine spotted a telltale cloud of dust. “And there they are.”

“How far are we from the coast?” Rebecca asked.

“Not far. Maybe ten minutes drive from here. But they’ll be on us in five minutes.”

Rebecca pulled her gun from her bag and Ethan rummaged around in his backpack, pulling out his revolver.

“Do you actually know how to fire that thing?” Maxine asked him.

“I’d have thought by now that you would know that I’m quite handy with my weapon.” He qui
pped.

“I hope so. If they catch us, they’ll probably cut yours off and feed it to you.” She told him brutally.

The air was thick with tension as they nervously gazed at the cloud of dust as it grew larger as their paths converged. As they approached it, Maxine noticed a dark shape across the road in their path.

“Shit a barricade!” She swore, swinging the car off the road and across the dusty wasteland alongside. It was a huge articulated lorry that had been parked across the road, blocking it completely. Bandits stood on top and fired at them as they drove past, bullets pinging off the armoured sides of the Mustang. Ethan took a few pot shots at them.

“Save your bullets.” Maxine told him. “You’ll need to make them count.”

As they cleared the barricade, a whole convoy of bandits appeared out of the dust cloud in hot pursuit. A combination of battered pickups, off road vehicles and dune buggies. Maxine tried to swing back onto the road, but the vehicles already on the road blocked her off. Now she was driving off-road, the advantage of the superior speed of the Mustang had been negated.

“Clever bastards.” She muttered, trying to coax as much speed as she could from the Mustang over the rough terrain as the bandits swarmed around them. A pickup pulled alongside, bandits on the back taking aim at her. A gunshot rang out behind her and the bandit clutched at his chest, falling back and toppling over the tailgate of the pickup. Maxine watched in the mirror as a pursuing four wheel drive ran straight over the top of him.

“Making my shots count.” Ethan grinned. Maxine’s eyes flicked up to the rear view mirror. She had never seen such a huge force of bandits. She counted at least twenty vehicles. There was no way they could defeat them all and they no longer had the pace to outrun them. Maxine’s mind flashed back to her decision to travel to the coast and wondered at her own stupidity. She knew it was a bad idea and she’d let herself be persuaded against her better judgement. A dune buggy pulled in front of them and braked, attempting to slow them down. Maxine smiled grimly. One of the first modifications she had made was to strengthen the front of the chassis. She had welded some steelwork across the front. She maintained her speed and allowed the dune buggy to hit them. The back end of the dune buggy disintegrated and it skidded away to the left, colliding with another pursuing dune buggy, the resulting collision leaving both vehicles a crumpled mass of twisted metal.

“We’re nearly to the coast!” Ethan pointed excitedly to the horizon. Maxine looked up and spotted the shimmering waves of the sea in the distance, the early morning sun, still low in the sky, reflecting off it. As they approached the coast, they spotted a collection of derelict buildings that had perhaps once been beach front bars and restaurants.

“I’ve got an idea.” Rebecca said as they reached the coastal road that ran across the buildings. “Turn into this narrow alley ahead.” Maxine spotted the gap between two buildings ahead and expertly handbrake turned the Mustang into the alley, the tyres screeching in protest and the back end fishtailing as she pressed her foot back down on the accelerator. The bandits, not anticipating the change of direction, shot past behind them.

“What’s this plan?” Maxine asked, knowing the bandits would be back on their tail in moments.

“Stop the car.” Rebecca told her. Maxine did so, the car screeching to a halt. “Quickly, we need to jump out.”

“What?!” Maxine turned to her incredulously.

“Quickly, we have no time!” Rebecca implored her. Maxine grabbed her crossbow, opened the door and climbed out, Ethan doing the same, his backpack slung over one shoulder and the aluminium attaché case tucked under his other arm. Rebecca slid across to climb out behind Maxine, but instead reached for the door and pulled it shut. Before Maxine had a chance to react, Rebecca was already accelerating away, the engine roaring as the Mustang drove rapidly down the alley before swinging right at the far end and disappearing from view.

“That fucking bitch has betrayed us!” Maxine screamed furiously. There was a roar of engines as the bandits returned and Maxine was snatched away from the road, pulled into a doorway by Ethan as several bandit vehicles flew past.

“I don’t think so.” Ethan told her calmly. “She’s drawing them away from us.”

“What now Ethan?” Maxine spat. “Even if the bandits don’t come back, we’re in the middle of nowhere without a vehicle. Looks to me like we have either a quick and violent death or a slow and painful death to look forward to.” Ethan ignored her, rummaging in his backpack and pulling out a strange handset. His fingers tapped at the controls before raising it to his ear. Maxine heard a tinny voice answer.

“We need immediate dust off.” Ethan spoke into the handset. “We have hostiles inbound. No time for the scheduled boat rendezvous.”

“Who are you?” Maxine asked him.

“No time for that now.” Ethan told her, we need to get to the beach before they come back.” They quickly ran through the dilapidated streets towards the sound of the waves, finally emerging onto what had once been a boardwalk, but was now a series of splintered and rotten timbers, jagged boards sticking up like pickets. As they negotiated their way across it, there was a loud explosion in the distance and a thick column of smoke rose up into the sky from somewhere beyond the buildings.

“I think that was Rebecca.” Maxine told Ethan quietly, remembering the grenade she had given Rebecca on the day they met. Ethan nodded.

As they reached the beach beyond the shattered boardwalk, there was a roar of engines as the bandit vehicles returned, emerging from between the buildings and from either end of the coastal road, blocking any escape. They were trapped between the bandits and the sea. The vehicles revved their engines as they moved towards them, before slowing to a stop. Maxine realised that even the off-road vehicles would be unable to cross the remains of the boardwalk. The bandits climbed from their vehicles, guns and knives in hand, advancing towards them. They backed away from the boardwalk until the waves of the ocean were lapping at their feet. Maxine noticed the skeletal remains of what had perhaps once been a pier, but was now just a series of rotten timber stumps protruding from the beach. One upright still had several thick timber planks fixed to it and would afford them a little cover at least. Maxine grabbed Ethan and dragged him behind the makeshift barricade. It wouldn’t provide much protection, but it was better than standing out in the open.

“How long until your friends arrive?” Maxine asked him, peering over the top of the debris at the advancing bandits as they scrambled over the boardwalk.

“Ten minutes.” He replied, placing his attaché case on the sand and pulling his revolver from his backpack.

“Shit.” Maxine replied bitterly. “It may as well be ten hours.” She took aim with her crossbow and put down the nearest bandit, her bolt finding his eye. Gunshots rang out and wood splintered as bullets smashed into the debris barricade in front of them. Ethan peered above their makeshift barricade and took aim with his revolver. Another bandit fell back, but more and more were advancing on them.

“How many bullets have you got for that?”

“Just seven more.” Ethan replied ruefully. “How many bolts?”

“Six.” Maxine replied grimly. There were at least twenty more bandits clambering towards them. They sprang up again and picked off several more, making each shot count.

“Two bullets left.” Ethan told her, opening the cylinder and pushing his remaining bullets into the chambers as he crouched behind the debris having sent five more bandits to hell. “Should I save them for us?”

“Save them for those bastards!” Maxine replied hotly, taking aim and putting another bandit down. Ethan got back to his feet and took aim. As he fired, another gunshot rang out and snatched him off his feet, throwing him back onto the sand.

“Ethan!” Maxine cried out. She fired her last bolt which found its mark before dropping to her knees on the sand, which was already stained red with Ethan’s blood. Ethan was clutching her left side and gritting his teeth. “Where
are you hit?”

“My arm.” He moaned. “They got me in the arm.” Relief washed through her and she actually laughed.

“Your arm?! Get up, you girl!” She berated him, grabbing his gun and peering back over the barricade. To her surprise, she found that the bandits had pulled back and were heading back to their vehicles. Ethan had pulled himself unsteadily to his feet and joined her.

“They’re retreating!” He commented, his relief palpable. “And we were down to our last bullet.”

“They didn’t know that.” Maxine grinned, watching as they sped off. “But I don’t think they’ve given up. I hope your friends aren’t late. This isn’t over yet.”

Than nodded grimly and glanced at his arm.

“Help me tie a tourniquet.” He told her. “Try and stem the bleeding.” Maxine ripped a strip of material from the bottom of her vest and tied it around the top of Ethan’s arm.

“Sexy.” Ethan grinned, his teeth still gritted with the pain, but his eyes gazing at Maxine’s exposed midriff. Maxine returned his smile as she finished knotting the cloth.

“Well, we are on the beach.” Maxine replied, arching an eyebrow, before spotting something out of the corner of her eye. She looked along the beach at what looked like a dust storm approaching in the distance.

“What is that?” Ethan said, following her gaze.

“The bandits. They’ve found their way onto the beach further along the coast.” Maxine told him, her voice flat and devoid of hope.

“Quick, back across the boardwalk.” Ethan told her, reaching for his attaché case.

“Too late.” She told him as the first dune buggy reached them, zipping past them and showering them with sand, the driver whooping with delight before swinging around and driving in a circle around his prey, kicking up more sand. The other vehicles joined him, driving in a loose circle on the beach with them trapped in the centre. Maxine shrugged her shoulders and aimed the pistol, taking out the driver of the dune buggy, who careered off to one side before barrel rolling into the sea. Maxine hurled the revolver after him into the surf and waited defiantly. The vehicles slowed to a stop and the bandits climbed out, grinning maliciously, blood lust in their eyes.
