Jing Mingyun hearing his words smiled and replied, “Ah, I’d almost forgotten that you humans still need to train, ok you go on ahead I’ll protect you from the rear…”

Feng Yu hearing this shook his head as he thought to himself, “Just you wait… once I get strong enough, I’ll definitely show you no mercy…” A brutal fantasy now flickering in his mind which made his chest boil as if it was covered in flames, he quickly shook this mood and beamed towards the Sky Palace on his flying artifact.

Jing Mingyun laughed to herself as she saw him fly off without a word, a strange smile creeping on her face as she recalled her teasing manner.

She then took a casual step instantly appeared a few meters distance behind his back sliding her feet across the air as she glided at a constant speed.

Demetria who had now awoken from her dazed smiled as she saw this scene, she then turned into an aquatic ball of light which beamed towards the palace…

It took only a few hours at most for the battle at the Sky Palace to come to a tragic end, as after losing the only force which could pose a potential threat to the allied native army, the palace easily fell due to the overwhelming strength and numbers among the alliance's ranks.

The time was now that of noon, the peak rays of the sun now sharing its luminance with the devastated surroundings. The once beautiful architecture now reduced to fragmented rubbles with broken crystal-like twiggs scattered about the clouds sea as they floated weightlessly in the air.

The nests were destroyed, as the creatures and dark birdmen annihilated as their corpses littered the surroundings. A few of the alliance members could be seen gathering up the spoils as well as salvaging any equipment and artifacts that could prove useful, while a few others wearing special magic robes gathered together at what was once the central position of the Sky Palace.

They sat around a neatly but extremely complex type of rune which was now different from the one used to previously transport Feng Yu along with the main army back to the late Fairyland prior its destruction in war.

Feng Yu sat on the floor lost in his thoughts with Jing Mingyun seated nearby as he thought to himself, “Why haven’t the victory announcement sounded? Could it be that there are some problems or is it that I have to wait till I’ve finished the Cloudy Ghost Zone for it to appear?”

He thought for a moment and found that he couldn’t find the answer, so his cleared away it from his mind and glanced at the scene with the magic robed alliance members, he knitted his brows and asked, “Why are they using that spell, should we be traveling to transference portal instead to get the Cloudy Ghost Zone?”

Zyne hearing his words laughed before replying, “Haha! You brat, it seems you didn’t realize. If fiends of this realm had methods easily track our going in and out of the transference portal, then it is natural to assume that those even more crafty shapeless fiends will be ready and fully prepared the instant we cross into the Cloudy Ghost Zone.”

Feng Yu hearing his words remained silent for a short while before asking once again, “You are right about that! But how does drawing this return transference circle help in this matter?”

Zyne was about to reply but was hindered by Demetria who seemed to finish what she was previously doing, “It's simple. We will use the transference circle to return to the endless rain zone where we shall use the power of the Fairy Palace’s spatial gate to directly send us the location of the Spector Life Born clans allies…”

“Ah, so that’s how it is… why didn’t we use this method before?” Feng Yu asked in confusion, hearing his words Demetria shook her head and replied, “We couldn’t, for you see while most of the energies need to for transference come from the Life Source Orb. There is another material that is even more vitally important, a material that can only be found in this zone’s space…”

“Hmm, and what's that?” Feng Yu asked curiously, Demetria then flipped her hands causing the strange crystal twig-like matter to appear before her as she spoke, “They are known as Chaos Shards…”

Feng Yu seeing this shard became interested as he didn’t think that the broken off pieces of the Sky Palace construct were so valuable, Zyne seeing this finally spoke, “Haha! What you thought these were just ornaments? I’ll have you know if that fool Pelkan didn’t foolishly charge outside of this nest due to his greed and coordinated with the elders to activate the mechanisms powered by these shards… then the only corpses we would see in this realm would be ours….”

As Feng Yu heard this, a chill run in his heart as only now did he realize how dangerous the battle against these fiends in the zone could be. As he thought to himself, he couldn’t help but move his eyes across the alliance leaders, Zyne, Myria, Demetria and finally Jing Mingyun before he muttered in a soft voice, “If it weren’t for their transcended level strength, this would have most likely been a dreadful and tragic battle for any other influence…”

“Haha! Damn right!” Zyne said in an unbridled fashion as despite being low he could hear all of Feng Yu’s words, Demetria put away the shard before she smiled at Feng Yu as she went to supervise the circle.

Leon who was seated in the corner opened his eyes for a moment glaring at Zyne before he calmly closed them as if the matters of the world were of no concern to him.

Myria who was bored flapped her wings as she flew towards Feng Yu and glanced at his arm while speaking, “Chosen Yu, I didn’t get the chance to ask, but what did you do the Spiritual Bird Egg?”

Feng Yu hearing this replied, "Oh, I placed it inside of my Storage ring, let me take it--" As Feng Yu was about to show everyone the egg, he couldn't help but stop his words and exclaimed, "What!"

Zyne and others hearing his words looked at him a look of surprise as they asked, "What's wrong?"

"It’s... gone..." Feng Yu said in an odd tone, Myria hearing this spoke, "Huh? What do you mean gone? If it's not on you then where is it?"

Leon also opened his eyes once more and looked at Feng Yu with an odd look in his eyes, Zyne thought for a moment before looking at Feng Yu with a different light in their eyes, while Jing Mingyun remained silent as she looked at him.

Feng Yu hearing their words became confused as he had no idea where the egg went, he went with his thoughts to search for the egg but soon ended finding something strange.

Within his sea of consciousness was a sea of fire and lighting, inside of this sea was the hovering figure of Spiritual Bird Egg which continued to pulsate endlessly, rippling the flames and thunders of the surroundings.

Soon, the image of an egg could be seen on his forehead which flickered for a moment before vanishing. Feng Yu seeing this became shocked as he spoke, "How could it be here?!" He shook his head and saw that they were all looking at him in silence before he spoke, "Guys, I don't know what happened, but this egg had somehow entered my sea of consciousness..."

As Zyne heard his words, he looked at him surprise before he spoke, "Yu brat, it would seem that the egg has chosen you like it, companion..."

Feng Yu hearing this replied, "Why would it do such a thing?"

Zyne replied with an in-depth look on his face, "I don't know... maybe there is an unusual kind of connection between both of your lines, most importantly is that now that you've formed a bond with the egg; it will be up to you hatch it..."

Feng Yu hearing her words rubbed his finger on top of his empty forehead, a contemplative looking appearing in his eyes before he asked, “Since that's the case, then I guess all will be revealed once it's hatched, how long will it eventually take to hatch from this thing?”

Myria also revealed a curious look on her face as she placed her tiny fingers on her cute cheeks while saying, “Ahh, there has never been many cases like these before… I guess we can only wait and see...”

Leon who was resting in the corner now opening his eyes once more locking his eyes on Feng Yu's arm with a look filled with keen interest. Suddenly, Jing Mingyun who sat by his side leaned her head closer as
she spoke, “You know, there was once a tale I’ve heard from my mother…”

Feng Yu hearing this became curious, but before he could say anything Myria flew directly before Jing Mingyun and asked excitedly, “Eh? What kind of tale?!”

As they heard this, Feng Yu and the others couldn't help but look the silent Jing Mingyun who had once more continued to speak, “It is the tale of ancient time, a legend of a crow which was once hailed as its race’s hero…”

  Chapter 158

  The Armies Clash!

The sounds of the earth rumbling and the heavens crying continued to resound across a vast stretch of land which floated above the broad misty sea, as a few colorful explosions could be seen in distance displaying the might of entities and beings that clashed together in a dreadful war.

It battles like no other, as hordes of fiendish creatures garbed with divine-like weapons battled against a large unit of men armed in crimson wear, their faces wearing crimson masks as their appearance were akin to that of battle gods that had descended world from the heavens themselves.

Battling at the forefront of this group were a group of red-haired individuals each of whom gave off an earth-shaking presence as their combat prowess vastly surpassed any among the rank of the crimson masked warriors. They lead each unit skillfully as they battled against the enemy’s various troop commanders matching them blow for blow occasionally surprising a few of them.

Still, despite this their dominant battle performance the fiend whom they faced were not only powerful individually but also had a number that vastly exceeded theirs leading them into a pressing struggle.

“Interessssting, it seemssss that the humanssss the excellency sssspoke of were no other than this group…” Gui Shenin said as he swept his ominously glowing purple eyes across the members of the Feng Yu’s Elite Crimson Masked Solider Unit, his face containing to remain an eternal mystery due to the crusty looking cloak which shrouded his somewhat illusive figure.

“Hmph! So what if it is, although their strengths are within the ranks of those Supreme Bloodline clans that should now be in reign of that outside world, they are no different from fools rushing to their own eventual demise in our jointed armies of elite-level, elder-level, low, and middle-class fiends, along with those rare variants at the helm of their commands, not to mention that our armies have already outnumbered them.” Falcoy said in an arrogant manner as his head was still raised to the sky with his beak facing the heavens, his eyes glancing down at the chaotic battling beyond the towering fortress walls around them.

Gui Shenin hearing his words said nothing in reply as he only continued to observe the battle with keen interest, his eyes flickering every now then in a menacing light as if he was pondering something.

Reinz who was nearby having thought for a while finally spoke, “The army is not the threat, as the true obstacle are those humans that are still within that artifact…” He said while gazing towards the floating Mansion which was above a thousand meters away from the central battle zone.

Falcoy and Gui Shenin also gazed at the mansion, but they didn’t reply to Reinz words as their eyes had finally locked on a few individuals who stood at mansions main helm, as if they could sense their gaze the group standing proudly at the edge of mansion returned the gaze as a smile creeped onto the each of their lips.

“Chet! Cheeky little bastards! You’d leave them to me, I will be enough to send them all to hell…” Falcoy said in a sinister fashion as his eyes glowed in a red light, it seemed that he had been ticked off by their confident looking manner as they gazed at him from above, since his very nature was to stand above all and gaze at them as if they were beneath his feet.

Within the floating Feng Clan mansion, Feng Junling, Feng Yunlong, and Feng Xingyu calmly stood at its edge, their eyes shining with a hint of battle luster as they gazed at the Zone Commanders who were eyeing them from behind the battle scene.

After a short while, Feng Junling glanced towards both Feng Yunlong and Feng Xingyu and spoke, “These guys are strong… much stronger than I’d initially anticipated…”

As they heard this, they didn’t even show a hint of fear as oddly enough only a look of confidence remained on their faces. Feng Junling seeing this smiled as eyes glowed in a sharp light, he then continued his words, “However, thought their strengths are quite astounding. Weare no inferior…”

His eyes glowing in a bright golden light as his hair started to rustle as if it was blow by the wind, a hint of golden scarlet flames flowing across his hair strands along with a vague streak of lightning.

“Haha! Right, you are Junling! It’s been many years since I last stood on the frontline, always caught up with clan affairs hindering my own cultivation, sometimes I would forget the feeling that comes from such a battle…” Feng Yunlong said as his body also began to change in the same manner as Feng Junling.

“Hmph! With me on the front lines, neither of you will even need to do anything!” Feng Xingyu replied as she looked at the two of them while waving her small slender fists in the air, as they saw this, both Feng Junling and Feng Yunlong revealing a look of tender affection as if they saw the cutest thing in the world.

“Right! Right! Our Xingyu can crush all our foes!” Feng Junling said in a casual manner, as Feng Xingyu heard this she pouted before replying being unsatisfied, “Hmph! I know you’re only saying that to make me feel better, but I’m telling you, I’m stronger than you both!”

“Even better, as long as you can survive this battle we will be at ease…” Feng Yunlong replied in a teasing manner, as she heard him she didn’t even bother to reply as she glanced at the Zone Commanders again, but as she did this she couldn’t but change her direction at a location that was on the opposing southern side of the enemy’s fortress, an area devoid of any battles as only a handle full of well-organized and vigilant fiendish soldiers guarded there.

“Um?” Feng Junling had only now begun to feel something strange as he cast his sight towards this area, he glanced towards broad plains at the region surrounded by a dense amount of forestry. Suddenly, his eyes started to glow in a bright as his smile grew wider, he muttered, “So those kids have finally begun, it seems that our real battle is about to begin…”

The eyes of both Feng Yunlong and Feng Xingyu now shining brightly as they eagerly awaited the following scene…

  ∞ ∞ ∞

At a region that was close to the outskirts of the dense misty field of forestry was a large group of human practitioners neatly arrayed in a series of battle formations. Standing before them were mighty and dominant leaders who were in charged for each of their own respected influences. Suddenly, one of the leaders crossed his arms behind his back as he began speaking to practitioners.

“The Feng Clan has already drawn the enemies main forces to the other side of this fortress; our mission is to quickly use this chance to strike at the enemy’s weakest position…” Xun Yanshan said, as he pointed his hands towards the rare of the enemy’s fortress, this image was then displayed to minds of each practitioner via the use of an artifact brought on his person.

After doing this, he then spoke to the leaders behind him, “Now then, shall we begin?”

“Haha! I am ready to see just how powerful these bastards are?” The leader of Dark Sky Pavilion said in a brutal manner, the Beautiful Elder from the Rain Sword Sect, along with Blood Rose Pavilion remained silent as they nodded their heads, while the sharply grim looking man from the Seven Bladed Mercenaries eyes glowed in a baleful light.

“Old Zhu, what do you say shall we make a bet of this?” Tang Wu said, as his eyes glowed with a hint of battle luster. Xin Zhu who was still somewhat distraught about his daughter Xin Qing merely smiled as he replied, “Ha… it is these games that define that young from the old, fine why not, let us see who can gain the most kills!”

As he said this, his aura rose to the peak as energies were no longer that of the True Foundation realm but at the early levels of Warrior realm. Tang
Wu also had a similar amount of energy emanating from his entirety as the two of them now gave a confident air.

“Heh, it seems that even those from affiliate kingdoms have managed to make a new breakthrough, looks like the future for our empire may be on its rise…” Xun Yanshan said to himself while glancing at Tang Wu and Xin Zhu, he then looked at Ye Shuye and Nie Sinian who glanced at him and nodded their heads.

As he saw this, his eyes then glowed in a fierce light as he jumped into the air landing on top of a large branch while shouting, “Good, let’s begin!”

“All men charge towards the camp! Don’t fall behind now!” Ye Shuye shouted, as his body flickered vanishing into a sea of leaves.

“Kill!” The joint army yelled in unison as they rushed towards the outskirts of the force with full momentum, looking no different from a tidal wave that threatened to wipe away all unlucky enough to tread its seas.

Nei Sinian then glanced at his army of mental practitioners garbed in thick cloths from the Southern Wasteland as he spoke, “The enemy is stronger than us, while their numbers are superior to us, the only way for us to secure victory is to make use of our individual specialties to the fullest! All members of the faction must use the mental barriers to assist our allies, now charge!”

As he said this, his body began to rise as a semi-transparent giant battle god formed around him; it then leaped into the air carrying him towards the distant sky in a single jump.

“Yes sir!” The mental practitioners replied as they too equipped a series of mental body armors as they rushed towards the enemy fortress guarding the rare of their allies…

  ∞ ∞ ∞

The scene at the opposing side of the fortress surrounding the Ancient Dragon Palace was a magnificent one, as a horde of fiends stood in a myriad of formations as they vigilantly patrolled and protected the region.

Despite being guarded a by a significantly lower number of troops, this section of the fortress was still might a force to be reckoned with, a mighty looking fiend who had three horns with the head and lower body of a reptile with his torso resembling that of a muscular man stood proudly at the top of the wall.
