As she heard this, the eyes of Jing Mingyun flickered in a white light for a short moment before she smiled and pointed her finger at King Yemo, “Wait for his clan's trump card…”

Feng Yu and the others hearing fixed their eyes on King Demi who was still using his full efforts on maintaining the spell, the members of the spector life clan now finishing up their chants as the tombstones they brought with started to glow in a strange light.

Upon seeing this, King Yemo smiled as he spoke, “Activate the Tomb Soldiers!”

Buzz! Following his words, the tombstones broke the pieces as a strange scene occurred, a few humanoids made of rock now appeared within the array, with their bodies glowing in an odd light, they stood silently within the chaotic battles around them before suddenly opening their eyes.

Pheww! Instantly, a piercing green light shone from within them much like that of the one shone from King Demi’s spell as they identified the whereabouts of the many spectral wraiths before shooting a myriad of ghostly looking green chains to subdue a small fraction of them, the allies seeing this began to cheer as their fighting grew more intense they immobilized as much of the wraiths before hitting them towards the statutes which in turn would seal them.

The elders and elite Soul Eater Ghostfiends now carrying a look of shock as they didn’t expect such a scene, one of the elders in the hooded purple cloaks soon recovered as he eyes glowed in a dark purple light, he pointed his fingers towards them and commanded, “They have the remnant guardian sssstones, destroy them!”

As soon as the green-robed and blue robes ghost fiends heard this, they rushed towards the allied armies with full speed as they intended to destroy the stones before they could continue to hinder the wraiths.

King Yemo and the alliance leaders seeing this reacted, “Stop them!”

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Quickly, the leaders rushed towards these Soul Eater Ghostfiends resulting in a catastrophic clash of energies. Jing Mingyun seeing this finally smiled as she glanced towards the distant King Demi, before looking at Zyne, Myria, Leon, Demetria, and Feng Yu before speaking, “Begin!”

  Chapter 166

Oppressing the Enemies, A Sinister Presence…

Like meteors traveling through space, the bodies of Jing Mingyun and the leaders tore through the void leaving behind lines of energies that left sparks in the air. They swept across the vast distance of a few kilometers instantly arriving before the figures of the ominous looking purple cloaked Soul Eater Ghostfiend, as the elders saw this, their ruthless looking eyes glowed fiercely as their bodies erupted with nefarious aura.

Bang! The one standing at the forefront of these purple cloaked elders was the first rushed forwards smashing his fists together with the beam of white light that abruptly appeared before him, after a terrifying shockwave ensued both his and Jing Mingyun’s figure appeared at the summits of the red glowing sky.

He swept his eyes across the Necropolis battlefield observing the chaotic battles of Zyne, Demetria and the others noticing that they were each being pushed away from the central stone stele. He frowned as he glanced at Jing Mingyun and spoke, “Hmph! So, you were aiming to push us away from the Ancestral Stele? A foolish move, do you really believe that you can win while tying us down?”

Jing Mingyun merely smiled as she adopted a confident and casual stance placing his palm forwards with one of her arms behind her back, she then replied, “All will be revealed as time flows to its destined path…”

“Chet! Foolish woman, die!” The purple cloaked elder said as his body turned into series of ghostly shades as if he was real and unreal at the same time, his body flickered appearing to the side of Jing Mingyun as his eyes underneath his purple cloak glowed sinisterly.

“Devour!” The purple elder said in a resonant voice, as if the world was listening to his command the essences gathered around his form creating a strange pulling sensation, this power then locked onto the figure of Jing Mingyun who stood calmly and at ease despite the pull of the terrifying pressures. She glanced at the figure of the purple robes elder with scorn as she spoke, “Is that it? Truly disappointing…”

The purple robed elder seeing this became shocked, but it didn’t take long for his shock to transcend becoming one of pure fear, his devouring energies began to swallow a vague but familiar kind of aura as his eyes opened wide while looking Jing Mingyun.

“You… you are…” He stuttered while trying to speak, but before he could finish Jing Mingyun had already interrupted his words.

“It’s time for you to sleep, Dragonic Arts…” Jing Mingyun said in a soft voice as if trying to sooth the world from its myriad of disturbances, the purple cloaked elder who had now realized what he was up against didn’t hold back any longer, a massive purple skull formed around his body with dark looking eyes, it opened its mouth and released a screech that swept across the surrounding area of 1 kilometer.

“Kreeeee!!!!” A sinister kind of wailing that threatened to disperse the souls of all beings caught with its range, a pity of it through the entity its facing was no ordinary class, Jing Mingyun’s star-like silver eyes began to glow in a bright white light as she opened her cherry red lips and spoke, “Sleeping Dragon Fang!”

Bang! The space around her form shook as her terrifying Dragonic energy began to erupt from her body, they gathered around his fists which soon after struck towards thr wailing ghost that surrounded the figure of the purple cloaked elder.

Phew! Instantly, a massive semitransparent fang appeared which struck towards ghost arriving before it almost instantaneously, it smashed into it causing the surroundings to becoming shrouded by a bright white light, after a short while this light began to fade revealing the crumbling wailing ghost which vanished before leaving behind the pale-looking purple robed elder who shook in fear.

“Dragon…. She was a d…r…a…g…o…n…” After he said this, the light in his eyes faded as his cloaked vanished along with his ethereal like body which previous seemed impervious to all things. Jing Mingyun looked at this scene calmly, before moving her vision towards the distant battling forms of Zyne, Demetria, King Demi, Elder Chen, and Elder Duan.

She then moved her eyes towards the red beam of light which traveled towards the unguarded stele with a compassionate look in her eyes as she spoke, “It’s up to you now, husband…” After muttering this, her eyes grew cold as she fixed her gaze towards the ground beneath the stele a nefarious energy slowly beginning to rise up from the ground of a strange creature was slowly coming into the being.

“It seems that I really did, underestimated these beings true origins… to think that a member of ‘that race’ was actually still hiding here, was it father who purposely left it here…?” Jing Mingyun said in a cool tone, her eyes that were not as cold as the glaciers at the artic finally returning to normal before her body vanished leaving behind a faint trail of words, “Let’s see what you’re really up to…”

The battle was now at its peak, as the spector wraiths, along with the leaders of the soul eater ghostfiends battled together against the trapped allied native armies of the three Central Zones. The odds seemed to be even, as both sides had fallen into a stalemate, the endlessly spawning wraiths from the array were constantly being oppressed by the ancient tombstones of the Spector Lifeborn clan allowing the allied army a little bit of room to breathe as their leaders and lieutenants clashed against the soul eater ghost fiends.

Swish! Swish! Suddenly, two rays of flaming red light clashed together with a purple robed elder, their collision generating a wave of energy which destroyed all within a few hundred meters. Their figures soon after reformed as they stood in a face-off at a different sector of the sky, two of them using flying disk artifacts while the purple-robed elder floated calmly.

“Old Chen, it’s been aged since we last had to deal with such a handful… haha! My blood can’t help but boil…” Elder Duan said in a brutish fashion as his spikey hair glowing in a golden scarlet li
ght, the sacred phoenix flame energies cycling around his body making him seem like a sacred god of flames.

Elder Chen who was also transformed in a similar state, he rubbed the wrappings on his bald head as he gazed at Elder Duan with his sharp looking eyes and spoke, “You’re right Old Duan, the last time we had to go all out was during that year… haha to think we’d fall to such a level… still, there is something we now have that can easily make us stand above the limits of previous selves…”

Elder Duan hearing this smiled as he knew what he was referring to, they both looked at the purple cloaked Ghostfiend and spoke at the same time, “The power of a true bloodline…” As they said this, the previously calm and quiet soul elder ghostfiend who had been carefully observing his foes for an opening smirked as his eyes glowed in a cruel manner.

His body flickered and vanished soon after appearing at the center of both Elder Duan and Elder Chen; he then stretched both of his palms out towards their throats and spoke in a dark tone, “Foolish humans! You dare to let your guards down before me, pay for errors with your lives, Soul Devouring Claws!”

The moment he said this, his arms began to emit the same suction energies from before as he tried to rip the souls of both Elder Chen and Elder Duan out of their bodies, but before he could reach their throats there was a change.

“Nirvana Battle Arts: Cry of Phoenix!” Two synchronized voice said, the moment this happened the flame energies within the world became chaotic as two golden scarlet flames appear from the surroundings these energies formed the shapes of strange bird that was more than 500 meters large with a wingspan of a kilometer, the crown on top of their heads glowing in a noble light that gave off a sacred presence as they both lifted their heads and cried out to world.

“Screeeeeee!!!” A sharp cry that swept across the entire region as they flapped their wings transforming into two streams of flames which swept towards the purple robe elder whose arms were still trying to pull the souls of the now vanished forms of Elder Chen and Elder Duan.

“Dammit! How can such a powerful technique exist for that outer world clan’s bloodline?” The purple cloaked elder cursed as placed both his palms together causing a dark purple energy to form around his body, a similar purple skull now forming around him acting like a barrier to resist the assaulting flames.

Not long after, these two flame energies crashed into this elder causing an explosion of flames to scatter across the vast region turning the area into a world of flames, Elder Chen and Elder Duan had now reformed from the surrounding flames with a slightly exhausted look on their faces as they gazed towards the center of the flame sea, then they saw the fading purple energies of the elder which had resisted their joint supreme attacks.

They both looked at each other with an awkward look on their faces as they spoke, “Well, it seems that we’ll still need quite a bit of work to match up against these---”

“Urm?” As they were speaking they both couldn’t help but glance towards the ball of purple light once again as they notice a different change, the flames around it slowly fading revealing the burning skull which seemed to be screaming out in a soundless pain, and the figure of the purple cloaked elder who was supposed to be protected scorched by the scarlet golden flames as his head was lifted high with his mouth opened wide.

“Sacred Flames!! Arghhhh!” He wailed as his ghost protecting shell vanished along with his body moments after, Elder Chen then looked at Elder Duan and smiled as if they were both thinking the same thing, “It seems we’ve really underestimated the limits of our new bloodline…”

As two of the purple robe elders vanished, the remaining three elders became nervous as they battled against Zyne, Demetria, and King Demi, realizing that they would fair much against them individually they gathered together in an odd battle formation.

“We must not let them near the Ancestral Stele! It’s far too soon, but it must be done…” One of the purple robes elder said as he glanced at his two remaining compatriots, they looked at him and nodded their heads as if they made a unanimous decision. Quickly, they placed their palms together in a strange hand sign as spoke with their eyes glowing in a bright purple but now golden-ish light.

“Unity of Souls!” Their voices echoing across the area as they spoke in unison, a dark sinister energy now shrouding area as the departed souls of two death soul eater ghostfiend elders gathering towards the trio as a ball of purple golden ghostly energies surrounded their figures.

Zyne seeing this frowned as she glanced towards Demetria and spoke, “This is the very reason why I hate their kind of all fiend races, these bastards are too troublesome…”

Demetria hearing his words nodded her head as she glanced at the ball of light before them, King Yemo only now appearing by both of their sides with a solemn look in his eyes as he spoke, “This is the Unity of Souls, a forbidden incantation of spectorkin. It is a terrifying spell that allowed any spectorkin to fuse with souls of all living or recently departed spectorkin, in return, they will become a new being with powers vastly superior to their previous selves…”

Demetria and Zyne glanced at the new silhouette that was being formed at the center of the ball of energies with a deep look in their eyes, after a short while Zyne smiled with a sharp look on his face as he spoke, “Hehe! So what, even if they did transcend… they would not be able to hold us down…”

As he said this, the confident aura emerged from him, Demetria who was nearby smiled as she saw her eyes flickering for a moment as she saw his current state, she then glanced towards the ball with a similar level of confidence as her magical energies rose to a whole new peak. King Yemo seeing their responses merely shook his head as he thought to himself, “It seems I’ve been as sleep for too long… even Zyneas can change to such a degree…”

After he said this, her ghostly energies also rose to their peak causing him to look like a divine spector from the deepest reaches of the netherworld.

Phew! Quickly, two beams of scorching red flash appeared before them from a distant location, they then reformed into the slightly exhausted figures of Elder Chen and Elder Duan who looked at the confident trio and spoke, “Haha! You guys can’t forget us old ones now can you…”

The faces of King Yemo, Zyne, and Demetria becoming strange as they thought to themselves, “Old ones?” Their eyes scrutinizing the life energies of Elder Chen and Elder Duan before they scuffed at them in silence.

Elder Chen looked at Elder Duan in silence as he slapped his spikey head and spoke, “Old fool, they are older than us…”

“Eh? Ah, haha! I’d almost forgotten…”

The others now paying no heed to the duo’s spout as they carefully observed the transforming ball of energies, as if it sensed their gaze the ball of ghostly energies began to change as the dark sinister energy which shrouded the surroundings started to converge towards its central point.

A cruel wind blew across the area as if something was now ready to come into being…

  Chapter 167

  The Dreadful Ethereal Soulfiend!

The world shook as a sinister presence came into being, a dark ball of ghostly energy had transformed into the figure of a strange entity that was hundreds of meters tall and wide, it was an evil creature with eyes as dark as the deepest rifts scattered across the distant galaxies, along with a dark transparent-like body that was shrouded by a different kind of power, making it appear as if it existed in a separate realm from reality itself.

It’s cold emotionless eyes glancing across the now stunned figures of Zyne and the others as its mouth made of white lights curved into a cruel smile, “Huhuhu…. Once again, I am born, once again… I am destined to rule all within these quadrants realms… the glory of the Etherealkin shall reign for all eternity…”

As it said this, it closed its eyes sending a strange power across the region as this power scattered. It sensed the presence of the Zone Commanders battling in the Center of All Zones, along with the strange power of darkness tha
t was now hiding at the edge of this entire realm.

Finally, its consciousness stopped at the massive golden continent that floated at the opposing edge of this mystic realm with a terrifying giant that calmly sat at guard protecting the brilliantly shining golden palace behind it.

As if it sensed something, the giant abruptly opened its eyes along with the peerlessly beautiful woman who sat upon the throne inside of the palace behind it. They gazed towards the horizon locking their sights onto the location of the Cloudy Ghost Battlefield finally landing onto the form of the new entity, as it felt their gaze this entity became angry as it thought to itself, “Chet! These bastards…. daring to seal my spirit here, they will pay…”

Back within the golden palace, the woman on her throne smiled as she saw this creature, she thought to herself, “So, he’s been awakened… the last ‘gift’ of the great senior, I wonder if this chosen will be able to pass this final test giving these fellows freedom from their sins… urm?” As she was lost in her own thoughts, her ‘divine awareness’ couldn’t help but pause at a certain location within the Cloudy Ghost Zone as a familiar aura and scent became more and more clear to her.

She opened her eyes wide as she gazed at this location in pure shock, “Heiress Jing!” Her voice rumbling across the vast continent filling the ears of each of her palace subjects as well as the mighty looking being who guarded the front of the palace. It glanced towards the same location with a hint of surprise in its eyes before it spoke, “To think his heir would still be he, it’s no wonder there are so many changes in this time’s trial… hmm, it seems that it may really be the last…”

The woman on the golden throne was pondering if she should leave it to go see the heiress but soon decided against it as the rules once more sounded in her head, “You will be sealed here, unable to leave at your own will, the day that this realm’s Chosen succeed will be the day you are freed…”
