Oh, yeah, he sure had a knack! Derek finally managed to lift his eyes from the painting and met Brian’s gaze. His mate looked nervous—he gripped his hands in his lap, and he gnawed his lip.
“Come here,” Derek ordered.
Brian blinked in surprise but got up from the chair and walked over to sit next to Derek. Derek reverently put the painting aside and cupped Brian’s face in his hands before kissing him deeply. He wasn’t sure how long he kept at it, but when he finally allowed them up for air, Brian’s face was flushed, his lips were swollen, and he had a smile on his face.
“Merry Christmas, Derek.” His mate’s eyes were dreamy and that made Derek grin wider.
“Merry Christmas, Brian. I wonder…. Is there any way you can have that outfit in the painting made? Because I sure as hell would love to see you in it in real life.”
Brian blushed, but looked immensely pleased. “Maybe. That would be a fun little game, wouldn’t it? Celtic warrior and wolf spirit.”
Derek’s grin was lethal as he shoved Brian against the cushions of the couch and growled a command to the dogs. They stumbled out of the room with their new toys and bones clutched tightly in their mouths. Tinker, now wearing his new collar that sparkled, swaggered out, his tail raised high and proud.
“Our first Christmas together seems to be shaping up to be very nice,” Brian said as Derek nipped at his neck, leaving marks. “Despite the little distraction.”
Derek chuckled darkly, trailing his lips over Brian’s jaw. “Nothing’s going to distract us now. I’m quite intent on making this a very good Christmas.” He lifted his head, still grinning. “I love you, Brian.” He enjoyed saying those words, knowing that he meant them, knowing that his love was returned.
Brian stroked his hands over Derek’s chest, sending shivers through Derek’s body. “I love you too, Derek. My wolf. My guardian.”
Derek nuzzled Brian’s neck. Forgetting about Kyle, forgetting about his anger, he allowed himself to sink into Brian’s warmth, his love, and to feel the comfort of home. “My warrior.” He murmured. “My mate.”
It was, indeed, one of their best Christmases ever. The first of many.

About This Book
Consider this not only the second edition of Psychic Moon, but the 10th Anniversary edition! I can’t believe it’s been ten years since I started this series. Psychic Moon was originally published in 2011. Apparently, the time was right to rebrand the series and take it to the next level. I thought I’d also take the opportunity to put out a new, expanded and revised edition. I want every book I release to be quality work.
I was a novice when Psychic Moon was first released, and I have learned a lot since then. My quality of writing has grown (in my opinion) and I know what I’m doing now (I tell myself that, at least). So after re-reading Psychic Moon, I realized it read more like a first draft than a finished product. If I was going to re-release it, I had to improve it. So I did. Now I can be truly proud of it. It’s one of those things that you don’t know that you don’t know until you do know. Knowing how to write is a lifetime process but after ten years, I have found my stride, and I know what I want to present to the world.
I decided to keep the majority of the story the same but expand on the relationship and really drill deeper into each of the characters, and also expand on their world and setting. I couldn’t be happier with the result. I hope you enjoyed my efforts and will continue with the series. I have so much in store!
***
As for Celtic Warrior and Wolf Spirit, this was originally written to be part of a Christmas anthology for my publisher. However, since it involved an already-established couple, they decided to release it as a stand-alone story. That was fine with me since it got published either way. I spruced it up a bit and decided to attach it as a bonus story to Psychic Moon instead of releasing it on its own.
Enjoy!
May dragons guard your dreams,

P.S. – It is unlikely the procedures of Brian and Derek’s jobs will hold up to scrutiny. Please enjoy these stories for what they are, and forgive any errors.
About M.D. Grimm
M.D. Grimm decided to become an author in the second grade (kind of young to make life decisions, but whatever) and nothing has changed since then (well, plenty of things, actually, but not that!). Thankfully, she has indulgent parents who let her dream, but also made sure she understood she’d need a steady job to pay the bills (they never let her forget it!). After graduating from the University of Oregon and majoring in English (let’s be honest: useless degree, what else was she going to do with it?), she started on her writing career and couldn’t be happier. Working by day and writing by night (or any spare time she can carve out), she enjoys embarking on romantic quests and daring adventures (living vicariously, you could say) and creating characters that always triumph against the villain (or else what’s the point?), finding their soul mate in the process.
