“Perfect.” Ashley said, “Thank you so much.”
Gregg put his hand on her back, “I’ll go grab your bags and meet you down there.”
When he walked off, Ashley stood there a moment. This was her last chance to convince him to stay. She thought about a hundred things to say to him all at once as she walked to her room. She slid the keycard in, and the door opened. The place was lovely, very well decorated. The bed looked comfortable, and the bathroom door was right to the left as you entered the room. There was a small loveseat near the window and a table in the corner with two chairs. She walked over to the bed and pulled the covers down when a knock at the door startled her.
“It’s me,” Gregg said from outside the door.
She could feel the butterflies in her stomach fluttering like crazy as she walked to the door and opened it for him. He was standing at the doorway, smiling.
“I really appreciate this Gregg, everything really, thank you.”
“It’s not a problem, really. Here’s your bag.”
They stared at each other a moment. For the first time since they had boarded the plane, they couldn’t think of anything to say.
“So, if you want to give me a call in the morning, I can come to pick you up and take you to the rental car place,” Gregg said finally.
She could see a hint of sadness on his face at the thought of ending the night so early. “Okay, sounds great. And really, thanks again.” She wrapped her arms around him.
Being that close to her made a fire stir inside of him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, not wanting the moment to end. He could feel every curve of her body pressed against him, she felt soft around his arms, just the way he liked it. He had to let go of her before she noticed how excited it had made him.
“Have a good night, I’ll see you in the morning, Ashley.” He said.
“Goodnight, Gregg, don’t forget me.”
“I don’t think I could.” He said and smiled, taking one last look into her blue eyes before he turned and walked away.
Sadness swept over her, watching him walk away. She needed him, she needed to make him stay. “Gregg, wait!” she called to him.
Almost as if he had been hoping she would call him back, he turned around.
His heart was pounding. He knew at that moment that she had felt the sexual tension between them, too, and it wasn’t just him. He walked back over to her and didn’t say anything. He put his hands on both sides of her face and lifted her face up to his and kissed her.
The heat of the moment radiated between them both. She wrapped her arms around him, and he let one hand fall to her waist and used it to pull her close. She could feel his hardness through his pants and pushed her hips into his harder as she fumbled behind her trying to open the door. Those lips that she had wanted to be kissing all night were still pressed against hers as she finally opened the door behind her.
He shut the door behind him, and she walked towards where the bed was, but Gregg grabbed her by the hips and pulled her back to him. When she was close enough, he turned her around and pushed her back up against the wall and pressed his body into hers and kissed her again, harder this time, while his hands rubbed up and down her hips and up the bottom of her shirt.
She pressed her hips into his to get enough space to grab the bottom of his shirt and lift it up to take it off him. He let go of her hips just long enough to remove his shirt then grabbed them again with one hand, while his other hand moved her long hair out of the way so he could kiss her neck.
Sticking his hands under her shirt, he felt her smooth skin and knew he was going to need her more than just this one night. She was absolutely intoxicating to him, and it was exhilarating. He lifted her shirt slowly over her head, looking at her body as he did so. Leaving the shirt around her wrists just long enough to hold her arms in place while he kissed her neck and kissed down to her breasts.
Her eyes were closed, and she was biting her bottom lip when he looked back at her face. “Are you sure?” he asked her, hoping desperately she would say yes.
She opened her eyes and nodded yes and put her hand behind his neck to pull his face closer so she could kiss him. He leaned his body into hers as she did this, letting his hands slide down to her hips again, and then down behind her around her back. Pulling her legs up around him, he picked her up and carried her to the bed.
When he sat her on the bed, he stood back a second to have a look at her, and he was wondering how he got so lucky as she sat up and pulled him by the scruff of his pants closer to her. She began to undo his pants, and he watched her, feeling the excitement run through his whole body. Once his pants were undone, he slid them off, along with his boxers, and pushed her gently by the shoulders to where she was lying back down on the bed.
She looked up at him and saw the desire in his eyes, a passion that she hadn’t seen from someone in a long time. Her eyes traveled down his bare chest to those delicious v-lines. As she kept looking down, she has his erect cock, standing at attention for her. She could feel her whole body surrendering to him as he climbed on top of her. As he slid her pants down, she felt as if she was going to melt right there in his hands. He climbed back on top of her again, spreading her legs apart with his own as he made his way back up to kiss her. Pressing his hips between her thighs, she could feel his hardness pressing against her panties.
When he slid his fingers beneath her panties and pressed them inside of her, she climaxed almost instantly. Feeling her pleasure made him need to be inside of her so badly.
All she could think of was how much she wanted to be his as he slid her panties off and kissed between her thighs and legs before entering her. She was unable to control herself; she had never felt this kind of passion before, and it was absolutely exhilarating. He fit inside of her perfectly, almost as if they were made for each other’s pleasure. He began to thrust into her slowly, taking cues from her soft moans. She started to move with him in time, picking up the pace to reach that sweet spot. As they both began to reach their climaxes, Ashley put her hand between her legs and began to rub herself to help push her over the edge. Their moans filled the hotel room as they both finished together.
When they were done, he laid on top of her for a moment, unable to move. This was all right with her because her legs were shaking. The way he was still kissing her and looking deeply into her eyes made her know this was much more than just a one-night stand to him, and that was perfectly fine with her. She had never had a lover that pleased her so thoroughly.
They laid there in each other’s arms for some time, no words needed to be said. The moment had been so perfect already.
Finally, Ashley spoke up, “Don’t go.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.” He replied and kissed her again. As he did this, she was laying her head on his chest, and he interlaced her fingers in his as she was rubbing her hand over him.
Drifting off to sleep, Ashley thought of how happy she was that she had listened to her friends and her dad and decided to go on this vacation, instead of just laying around still mourning. It made her happy, and a huge smile spread across her face, a feeling she hadn’t felt in a very long time.
…
In the morning, as the sun was peeking into the room from behind the curtains of the hotel room, Gregg began to wake up. He was thrilled to find that she was still tucked into his arms and paused briefly to notice how beautiful and peaceful she seemed in her sleep.
As gently as he could, trying not to wake her, he rolled her off his arm and got out of bed. He needed a coffee and a shower to shake off the beginnings of a hangover from the whiskey they had drunk on the plane. Trying to find his clothes from the night before proved a challenge with the small amount of light streaming into the window, but he was able to manage it.
Slipping the keycard into his pocket, he quietly went out of the room and walked down to where the free breakfast had been set up. Quickly, he drank down a coffee and orange juice, then made a p
late of a little bit of everything for Ashley along with a coffee and orange juice for her as well. When he got back to the room, he saw that she was still asleep, tucked into the same position she was in when he left, and that made him smile.
He went into the bathroom and started the shower.
The sound of the shower running woke Ashley up. She saw the plate of breakfast he had brought her and could not help but think of how sweet he was. She had not expected him to be gone in the morning, but she did not expect this for sure. She drank the orange juice and ate a slice of the toast he had buttered for her.
The shower was still running when she stood up to get her clothes back on. As she stood, she could tell her legs were still shaky from the pleasure of the night before, and this made a huge grin spread across her face. She thought maybe, instead of reaching for her clothes, she could go hop in the shower with Gregg instead. At the very least, pop in and thank him for breakfast.
Hearing her walk in, he said, “Morning! I left you breakfast on the table by the bed. I wasn’t sure what you wanted, so I tried to get a bit of everything.”
“It was lovely, thank you.” She told him.
He stuck his head out from behind the shower curtain and saw that she was still naked. “Shower?” he asked, smiling.
“I thought you’d never ask.” She said playfully and then got into the shower with him.
He washed the soap suds off himself and then moved out of the way for her to get under the water stream. Seeing the water roll off her body made that fire ignite inside of him all over again. He tried his best to calm it, but that task proved difficult. “You’re so beautiful.”
She turned around and smiled at him before putting her arms around his neck and kissing him. As she did this, he let his hands fall to her waist and pulled her closer to him. She slid her hands around from behind his neck and down his chest and held him in her hand.
Her hands felt so soft on him, and he closed his eyes for a moment, just enjoying the feeling of pleasure. Then he kissed her again and kissed down her neck to her chest and then back up to her neck again before whispering into her ear, “We aren’t going to get anything done this morning if you start that.”
She shrugged dismissively and squeezed him more intensely. He gently pushed her up against the shower wall and felt all over her body. When he felt the warmth inside of her with his fingers, a rush came over him, and he could not stop himself. He picked her up and, bracing her against the shower, gently pushed himself inside of her.
The intense passion of the moment made them climax at nearly the same time, and for a while after that, they just sat there in each other’s arms again, breathing heavily. Much as they did the night before.
With her head on his chest, she asked him, “Where have you been all my life?”
Still breathing heavily, he answered, “I’ve been right here.” Then he raised his arms up to her neck and used his thumbs to lift her chin up and kissed her.
As they finished showering, they made plans to hang out for the day. He was telling her some nice places to eat and some sights to see. She was thrilled that he wanted to spend the day with her. He got out of the shower first, and she stayed in a moment longer to finish washing her hair.
When she got out, he had already put his pants on but not his shirt and was leaning down to put socks on. She was wrapped in a towel. “Maybe we should go get some decent breakfast?” She suggested as she walked over in front of him. “Not that I don’t appreciate the lovely toast and overcooked bacon.”
They laughed.
“After I worked so hard all morning cooking that?” he said, faking a look of hurt.
She laughed, “Right.”
He grabbed her hips and pulled her closer, to where she was standing with her feet in between his. She put her arms around the back of his head and hugged him. As she did, he slid his hands under the towel and parted it at the front so he could kiss her soft skin. She pulled his face up so she could kiss him and dropped the towel so she could climb on top of him.
As they were kissing, she stopped and said, “I guess I could get ready.”
“Or we can just do more of this.” He replied playfully as he kissed her again. Savoring the moment before she got up and got dressed.
He knew that if they did not get out of the hotel room soon, he was going to want to have her again, so he let her get ready in peace. He wanted to show her as much of the city as he could, in hopes that maybe she would decide to come back one day.
“What night did you say your hockey tickets were for?” He asked.
“Tomorrow night, I think 7:30-ish, but I’ll have to check. Why, are you busy, or did you have plans or something?”
“Nope.” He replied, then got up and kissed her neck. “Actually, I don’t even have to be back at work until Wednesday. Unless you have plans, I’m free.”
She ran her fingers through his hair as he was kissing her neck. “Nothing else I can think I’d rather be doing.”
“Does that mean I can keep you all week? I can show you all around, we could go anywhere you want.”
The excited tone in his voice made her smile. “I’m all yours.”
He wanted to ask if he could keep her longer than that, or if she would come back, but he decided maybe that was a conversation for later. He just stared at her, into those blue eyes that he felt like he could get lost in forever.
She gave him a warm smile. “You don’t think you’ll get sick of me?”
“I don’t see how I could. Besides, I feel like I should take you on a proper date, at least. Me buying you whiskey while you’re trapped next to me for nearly 5 hours on a plane hardly seems worthy of…” He trailed off, not sure how to finish that thought.
“Of all the fun we had last night?” she finished for him.
“Yes!” He said, then added, “Although ‘fun’ doesn’t even begin to describe it. You are terrific, Ashley.”
“You are the amazing one, Gregg,” she murmured, kissing him.
He squeezed her hips again and pulled her closer. “Come on, let’s go have some fun.”
When they were walking out to the car, he held her hand. The gesture came so naturally to both that it was incredibly comforting.
At breakfast, they laughed over stories of their childhoods and other things that had happened in their past. After they had eaten, he grabbed her hand, and they walked out to the car together.
“I can’t believe this is happening,” she said as they walked.
“What do you mean?”
“I wasn’t even going to take this vacation after my mom had died. Now, I’m here, and I’m with you, and we are…well, I am having the best time.”
He laughed, “I haven’t had this much fun or laughed like this in a long time. I almost don’t want it to end.”
“Almost?”
“I don’t want it to end at all.” He said and then pulled her closer and kissed her again.
Then when he tried to pull away so she could get into the car, she pulled him back and kissed him again, “I don’t want it to end either.”
For the rest of the morning, Gregg drove Ashley around to see all the sights that she wanted to see around town. They sang songs on the radio and laughed and told more stories. Stories of how they had completely struck out in past relationships, stories about their families and friends. Before they had realized it, lunchtime had passed.
“Are you hungry? Do you want some lunch?” Gregg asked her.
“I could eat. Are you hungry?”
“Starving!” he said, rubbing his stomach. “Want to find a place with a bar?”
“We could do that. Burgers and beer?”
“Yes!”
Chapter Three
At the bar, they sat down next to another couple and ordered drinks. The other couple was much older and seemed like they had already been having drinks for a while since they were speaking very loudly.
Gregg shot Ashley a look that seemed to ask if she was su
re they should sit there, and Ashley shrugged it off and said it was fine. He placed his hand on her thigh comfortingly as he turned in his barstool towards her so his back would be towards the louder couple. They were growing increasingly louder as the bartender sat the beers on the bar for them.
Vulgar comments were flying between the drunker couple, and Gregg and Ashley snickered to themselves at the conversation several times. At first, it seemed funny, then the conversation took a more sinister turn into an argument.
“I saw you flirting with her! Don’t lie to me!” the woman said to him.
“You know what, you just would screw any man who came along!” The drunk man replied loudly. It was as if they were in a competition to see who could be the most belligerent.
The drunk woman turned to Gregg, “How’s about you take me home tonight, hot stuff?” she asked him.
A look of immediate discomfort took over Gregg’s face. “I think not,” he said before turning away.
“Come on, I’ll treat you real nice,” she said, attempting to rub his leg.
Ashley felt jealously boil inside of her. She couldn’t understand why. He wasn’t even her boyfriend, really. Or was he? She knew she wished he would claim her, then felt silly for it. She just knew that she didn’t want this other woman touching Gregg or him taking her up on his offer. Of course, he didn’t feel that way about her, it was just a fling, and he would forget about her as soon as she was gone.
Gregg brushed her hand off his leg, probably a little more aggressively than he meant to. “I’m here with my girlfriend, and even if I wasn’t, like I said, no thanks.”
The butterflies came back into Ashley’s stomach. Did he just say…girlfriend? She could feel her cheeks turning red. He turned to look at her and smiled, and then leaned in and kissed her. “Do you want to get out of here?” He asked her.
“I do.”
He put money for the drinks on the bar and took her by the hand. The girl at the bar was still being loud and saying something about him. Ashley could not understand precisely what it was, but she pulled Gregg by the hand so he would stop. When he stopped to turn around to see what it was, she put her arms around his neck and kissed him. He grabbed her hips and pulled her closer to him. The woman at the bar turned back to her drink, and they walked out together.
