A Table for Three: New York, Book 1 Page 3

by Lainey Reese

Cade knew he was the first to breach those sweet lips, and it was enough to make him crow like a maniac. She caught on quickly, and her hands started to caress and explore his ass and legs. God, she was a sensual creature. How had she stayed so sheltered and untouched? Weren’t there men in Washington? He didn’t care how. He was only thankful that he’d been the one to find her, and the last coherent thought he had was he just might give Gary a raise. He tightened his fist even more in her hair and said, “Open your mouth wider.”

She did, and he shoved in ’til he was lodged against the back of her throat. At first, she started to struggle and back away. “Hold still and relax your throat. Slide your tongue out along the shaft, that’ll keep it from gagging you. There you go. That’s good. That’s right. It won’t choke you, just breathe through your nose.”

She slowly relaxed and soon the tension eased out of her, and she swallowed around him. “Ahh, do that again.”

  She did.

“That’s so fucking good, baby,” he said and started thrusting into her. He knew it was rough, but it was the way he liked it and it would be best if she learned what he liked from the start. “Oh, yeah, like that. I’m going to come. Don’t pull back. Drink it. Drink me.”

She started to moan around him, and her thighs were rhythmically clenching together in time with his thrusts, making it clear to him that she was getting off almost as much as he was. All too soon, he couldn’t hold back any more and, with a guttural groan, he shot into her lovely mouth. One fist pounded into the window in front of him while he struggled to stay on his feet through one of the most intense orgasms he’d ever experienced. He rested his forehead on the glass and slowly rode the waves down. All the while, she continued to suck, swallow and lick on his shaft with increasingly gentle strokes as he gradually softened in her mouth.

He inched from between her lips with a heartfelt sigh that caused her to tilt her head and gaze up at him. He was still resting with his head against the window and her kneeling in front of him, her lips swollen from sucking him. Her body naked and rosy was a sight he was not ever going to forget.

  “Hi.” She smiled.

  He chuckled. “Hi back.”

With what he considered a Herculean effort he pushed away from the window and stood on his own. This woman was potent and for a minute, he was afraid his dignity would be tested because he would crumble to his knees. Nevertheless, he managed to stay upright and reached down to help her to her feet.

“C’mon. We’ll order a snack and eat naked in bed while you tell me what brought you to New York.”

“Yum. Sounds great, but, um…” Riley looked around and a blush tinted her cheeks. Cade wondered if she would always make him chuckle. He’d just shot a load in her mouth after fucking her in a public place, but she was blushing while trying to ask where the bathroom was. He shook his head and pointed her in the right direction. “Down the hall and on the right. I’ll order. Are you allergic to anything?”

“Oh, thanks,” she said as she headed off. “No. No allergies.” He could tell by the way she hurried that she wasn’t exactly comfortable walking around naked. Well, she would have to get over that fast, because naked was how she was going to be for a very large portion of her time from now on.

Cade looked at himself and wondered how it was that while he had stripped her, he hadn’t made time to get off his own clothes. Well, easy to change that, he thought as he started removing them. He fished his cell phone out of his pocket before letting his slacks fall to the floor and called down to the kitchen to place their order. Then he called Trevor.

“Hey, Cade. What’s up?” Trevor’s voice could barely be heard over what sounded like a chain saw and people screaming.

“What the hell are you doing?” Cade asked, unable even to guess what the racket could mean.

“It’s Horror Fest,” Trevor answered as if that would make any sense.

“Yeah, well it sounds horrible. Get over here fast, I have someone you are going to love.” He heard Trevor curse and tell someone he’d be back. Soon it was quiet and Trevor spoke. “Shit. Are you serious? Do I know her? Is it Annie?” he asked, talking about the hostess that they had been considering taking for a spin from the club’s five-star restaurant.

“No, Trev, it’s not Annie. It’s better, much better. Just get over here and you can see for yourself.”

“I told you man, I can’t. It’s Horror Fest.” There was raw frustration in Trevor’s voice, and Cade was getting frustrated himself.

“What the hell are you talking about? What’s Horror Fest?”

“It’s the Lords of Flatbush’s first annual all night horror movie marathon.”

Then Cade understood. Trevor came from old money the same as he did—the two had even gone to the same boarding school in England. However, where Cade’s ambition had been to make his mark financially independent of his family and inheritance, Trevor’s passion and ambition had always been for charity. His heart was dedicated to the needy. If he wasn’t in some third world country building bridges and cleaning water, he was in the city speaking at fundraisers or working with street kids and shelters.

That’s what the Lords of Flatbush was. An all-boy rec center for kids twelve to twenty. No one could join without signing a contract swearing off violence, gangs, drugs and booze. In exchange they got a rec center that was a teenage boy’s wet dream with basketball courts, swimming pools, a boxing ring, enough arcade games to fill a warehouse and even an indoor go cart track. There was also a different field trip or event almost every weekend. Trevor had built the place and ran it. He’d even picked the name out himself after an old Stallone movie about gang kids.

Trevor took his work and helping the kids seriously. They depended on him, and he wouldn’t leave if he’d told them he was staying.

  “Fuck,” Cade declared.

“Exactly,” Trevor returned. He had been so busy lately he hadn’t made time for women, not even a one-nighter to ease the ache that had been making itself known over the last couple of weeks. Nevertheless, he had promised the kids he would be here, so he was there at least until morning.

“Shit. Your timing’s usually better than this,” Trevor grumbled. “Do you know how long it’s been for me? Three months.” Trevor said it like an accusation, and Cade laughed at him.

“Hey, that’s not my fault. Before Riley I haven’t had any in two and I invited you over for that.”

Yeah, Trevor remembered, but at the time, he’d been on his way to the family beach house and had thought he’d get someone there. Just rotten luck that the only women he’d seen were ones he’d already passed on or weren’t interesting to him.

Nevertheless, “Look I can pass on the pancake breakfast in the morning, but I’m not bailing out on them tonight. I can’t leave till about six.” Trevor paused for a second while he debated whether or not he wanted to know what he was missing and if he could live with the knowledge ’til morning. “So what’s she like?”

“Oh, buddy.” Cade began, not sure if he should say what he was thinking aloud or wait until Trevor saw her for himself to see if he would come to the same conclusion.

  “I don’t think I’m telling you.”

“C’mon,” Trevor complained good-naturedly. “At least tell me what she looks like. Blonde? Brunette? Red? Something.”

Cade shrugged and said only, “She’s everything we ever wanted. Hurry.” He hung up and went to see what was taking her so long in the bathroom.

Cade opened the door to see Riley bent over the sink close to the mirror putting the last touches on her lipstick. She had grabbed her purse on the way in and freshened up. Her hair was brushed and tangle free, her make-up looked perfect again. There was a damp washcloth on the marble countertop. She must have found it in the cabinet under the sink and washed up.

“You know that only makes me want to mess you up all over again.”

Riley jumped and smeared lipstick on her nose. He chuckled as she blushed and wiped i

t off.

“I-I wanted to look fresh for you. I was a real mess, and I couldn’t go back out there looking like a rag doll.” She had taken one look at herself in the mirror when she walked in and couldn’t believe it was her own reflection looking back. The woman in the mirror had wild hair, smudged make-up and love bites from breasts to neck. From what she could tell, at least two of those bites were going to turn into hickeys, hickeys that were going to stay around for a while. Her body was as soft and loose as though her bones had dissolved.

This night could not get any better. She had loved sucking him, feeling so powerful as he shook and moaned from what she was doing to him. And oh God when he’d gone down on her. Her first boyfriend hadn’t done it, and she was too shy to ask him. Her second boyfriend had been severely lacking in the sex department. He’d had many other qualities, he was kind and thoughtful, but the few times they had gotten intimate, he’d climbed on and off practically before she knew what was happening.

But here she was, well loved and glowing and already wondering if they would do it again before the night was over. She’d cleaned up with the hope that he wouldn’t be able to guess how tired she was becoming and make her go home.

“You startled me.” She turned to him once she’d gotten the lipstick off her nose and didn’t know what to do with her hands. She settled on covering her breasts and crossing one leg over the other to try to hide her still throbbing sex from him.

“Don’t,” Cade said as he stepped into the room and took her hands in his. “Don’t ever hide from me. Ever. Your body, for all intents and purposes is mine, and I want to be able to look at and touch and kiss it to my heart’s content.” He proceeded to touch and kiss her and might have done a lot more if the elevator hadn’t sounded letting them know the food had come.

Before answering the door Cade led her to the bedroom and told her to climb on, then watched as she did…on hands and knees until she got to the headboard and turned to smile at him. He could see from the blush on her cheeks that it had taken every bit of courage she had to give him that little show. If he’d been able he would have done something to express his appreciation, but he could see fatigue settling in on her so instead went to meet the elevator.

When he came back he was carrying a tray loaded with fresh fruit, delicate whipped cream and a small selection of fragrant cheeses and bread cubes. He also carried a bottle of the best champagne his restaurant had to offer.

“A feast for m’lady,” he quipped as he brought the tray to the bed. The bed was a custom-made king, with a black leather headboard and four towering posts at the corners. It was covered in satin in varying shades of bronze and gold and Riley looked like a pagan offering curled on top of a pot of gold. He slid the tray to the middle and climbed in next to her. He lay on his side facing her and propped himself up on an elbow.

“So,” he began as he picked a plump strawberry for her and brought it to her lips with a swirl of cream on it. His gaze narrowed as her mouth opened to take a bite. “As you’ve probably guessed, I own the club.” He continued, “I’ve been based in New York all my life. I went to school in England as a boy and then Princeton for college where I got a degree in business.” He gave her a causal smile and shrugged at her impressed look and continued while he fed her a cube of mild white cheddar. “I’m thirty-four, healthy and I come from a good family. Now your turn. Tell me what brought your lovely little ass to my club.”

Riley smiled and picked a cube of cheese to feed him before starting. It took her a second because his teeth nipped at her finger when he took it. “Um, I, well. Yes. I was born in Washington. I’ve never been anywhere, not even Disneyland. We weren’t what you’d call rich, not really poor; I mean we did all right. But there wasn’t enough money for travel or college.”

Cade didn’t comment just continued watching her and chewing. He’d bet anything she would have loved a chance at college, it showed on her face and in the way she started to fidget.

“Well. New York. Hmm. I’ve always dreamed of coming here. But to be honest, this is so far beyond any dream I ever had.” Here she stopped with a wistful sigh before continuing. “Well, I didn’t have any money saved up,” She wrinkled her nose at him, “I am terrible with money. I spend every penny I get. My mom and dad had to take my checkbook from me ’cause I kept overdrawing my account. Don’t say anything. Pitiable I know. But there it is. The first step to correcting a character flaw is admitting you have one right?”

  “Right.” He laughed.

“Right, so, since I was so bad with money I was still living at home. I decided that if I was going to get here, I’d have to work for it. So I got a job at a bank as a teller and started saving and working my way up. It was hard at first, but before long my savings was growing, and I was getting promotions. I found out that after two years I would be eligible to transfer to any branch in any state I wanted. So I waited and kept saving. After my two years was up I applied for the first position that opened here and miracle of miracles I got the job.

“My plane got in at two this afternoon and after I unpacked I dressed up and called a cab that brought me here,” she finished with a smile and sent him a look that heated his blood and had his shaft growing again. “You know, I really wished I had tipped that cabbie more.” She smiled and leaned forward to kiss him.

Cade chuckled and gripped her chin to keep her close for a deeper kiss. He moved the tray to the bedside table and pulled her to his side. With a few tugs and shifts, they had the blankets over them and despite her best efforts, her eyelids started to droop.

“Normally I would scold you for not taking the time to rest, but I have to admit I’m glad you didn’t. It’s after three in the morning. Get some sleep, and we’ll talk later. We have a lot to go over.”

  Chapter Three

Three and a half hours later the sound of the elevator had Cade shifting and opening his eyes. Trevor walked in with eagerness in his long stride. He didn’t stop until he was at Riley’s side of the bed. Without waking her, Cade smoothed her hair away from her face and gently turned her so Trevor could see her clearly. His indrawn breath and soft whistle was just what Cade expected.

  “Beautiful,” Trevor whispered. “Perfect.”

Cade gave him a look that said he hadn’t seen anything yet and lifted the blankets away from her body. “Holy shit,” Trevor breathed and tore his gaze away from her body to Cade with an expression on his face that reminded him of a kid at Christmas. The look they shared was one forged over long years of building something deeper and warmer than a friendship. It was a look that said they both knew what was going to happen and words were unnecessary.

“Sweetheart,” Cade began, kissing her cheek and gently shaking her shoulder. “Wake up. There’s someone here I want you to meet.” Trevor squatted at the side of the bed so when her eyes opened she’d be able to see his face.

“C’mon on, sleepyhead, let Trev see those gorgeous eyes of yours.”

Riley stretched and sighed, not ready to give up yet on sleep. Then Cade’s words sank in, and her eyes flew open in shock while her whole body jolted. Sure enough, there was someone in the room with them. Moreover, it was a man.

“Shhh,” Cade soothed. “It’s okay. This is my best friend, Trevor Wellington.” Cade turned her face until she looked at him so she would not mistake what he said next. “You are going to obey him the way you do me.”

Cade watched her to make sure this wasn’t going to have her screaming spinach. He’d let her go if she did, nothing about this worked without her trust, but he was going to do everything he could to make sure she didn’t. Her mouth started opening and shutting like a landed fish, and Cade kissed her, thrusting his tongue deep and using all the skill he had at his disposal to light enough fires in her to keep her open to the possibilities in front of her. It worked. Her legs started to slide against his and a soft moan purred up from her throat. He broke the kiss and with his chin motioned toward Trevor. “Say hello to Trevor.”

Fear and trepidation came back in her eyes. It wasn’t the panic that it had been at first, now it was manageable. “It’s all right. Nothing is going to happen to you that you can’t stop with one word. All I’m asking is for you to say hi and see what happens from there.”

Riley slowly looked at Trevor, who watched every move they made with an intense stare. When her gaze met his, he smiled and said, “Hi. Nice to meet you.” His chin rested on the mattress mere inches from her face, and she felt his breath feather across her lips seconds before he moved and kissed her. His kiss was different from Cade’s, his lips not as full but just as potent. Where Cade’s kiss was thrust and plunge, Trevor’s kiss was soft biting nips and brief tingling strokes of his tongue. She purred into his mouth and followed his lead, nipping and stroking back. He brought one hand up to brush her hair from her face then slipped it under the covers to close over her right breast then he slid onto the bed with them.

Riley stopped trying to think, or reason, or question what was right or wrong. She believed Cade, she didn’t know how or why, but she truly believed that she would be able to walk away at any time. If she wanted to. Right now, right or wrong, walking away was the last thing she wanted to do.

Trevor’s grip and kiss quickly went from light and teasing to serious. His hand tugged and pulled at her nipples with a strong grip while his tongue, teeth and lips kissed her like she’d never been kissed before. Cade pulled the covers away and slid his hand up her thigh before gripping her knee and draping her leg over his hip.

Her first instinct was to pull her legs closed and cover that part of herself from being so exposed, but both men simultaneously reacted. Cade’s teeth bit into her shoulder and Trevor pulled on her nipple, hard. Trevor’s eyes opened and stared straight into hers as he slowly slid his hand down her body to her waiting, exposed flesh. His lips brushed against hers with every word, as he said, “You don’t make one move without our permission and you’ll never have our permission to keep this from us.”
