Sighing, she kissed his chin and went to grab her phone and her purse. “Take me to an early lunch. I’ll tell you all about it.”

Blinking, he called back to Gini, “Mrs. McAllister is leaving for the day. Let my assistant know, would you?” The young woman nodded with a blush. “The two of you can cut out whenever you lock things down. Get a jump on the weekend.”

  “Thank you, sir.”

Elliot wrapped his arm around Aubrey’s waist and practically carried her to the elevator. When they were in complete privacy, he growled, “I will strangle that shrew myself before I let her put you in danger.” She gave him a gentle smile. “I’m going to feed you and then I’m taking you home to fuck some sense into you.”

It made her laugh. “That never happens. I always end up barely coherent.”

“Excellent. Your brain needs a break anyway.”

By the time they were settled in his car, she could see the tension riding him hard. “Elliot?” He turned to look at her. “We have leftovers in the fridge. I’d rather you fuck me first.”

“Thank god.” He winked as he started the car. “I was worried that I’d end up mauling you in the bathroom at Bellini’s…again.” Her beautiful husband always made their lunches interesting.

The corporate experience was rather delightful after all.

  Gravity

Life should keep you grounded…it should never keep you down.

JoEllen Astor grew up poor in one of the worst trailer parks in Oklahoma. A childhood spent taking care of her mother and working hard has succeeded in making her world-weary in her early twenties.

Holden Mayes is a man who thinks Jo is far too young for a man like him but can’t help but want her. He makes a mistake that almost derails their relationship before it ever starts and is determined to make it right…no matter how long it takes.

Their accidental friendship is the only thing that keeps her together when tragedy strikes. When a man is slow, steady, and determined in his pursuit…how long can you fight your feelings for him?

Take a journey with Jo and Holden right now.
