War of the Holies Page 13

by Artemio Saguinsin

In his most available time, Brother Lucianus would find it necessary to tread his way to the community of the non-member nations but along his full security escorts and personal aides. He would find a preferential communication in a private place to selective individuals concerned with the lives of the community to learn their economic status which in return would send them relief goods for consumption.

He was shocked when he learned that the Pope and Serafetti continuously collected exorbitant fees and financial contributions from all churches whether they belonged to the GCC and UVC or not . In addition, all governments and its political subdivisions were obliged to deliver their collections to the treasury of the Vathikan City, likewise, corrupt politicians, gambling businesses and contributions from criminal elements were being credited into the bank account of the UVC

He learned that from the broad power and wealth of the Universal Vathikan Church nothing had been impossible by Pope and Serafetti that they could eliminate political adversaries anywhere in the world and finance the war of a nation against a conflicting nation. This irked Brother Lucianus and thought of assassinating Serafetti and Pope Justinianus into order to seize power and control the finances and wealth resources of the Vathikan City.

  18

  Vathikan City, Italia

His concealed desire to seize power and control of the Vathikan City was carefully planned to avoid suspicion and conviction. He had to establish personal contacts while he dealt secretly with experts and collaborators who could perpetrate the elimination of Serafetti from office and later the expulsion of Pope Justinianus from the Vatican.

Immediately, at least three expert assassins had to perform the act. With their high-powered telescopic rifle, the assassins began to position themselves in three separate locations. It could be on the roof top of one of the arrays of buildings along the financial district of Italia where the limousine of Serafetti and his convoy would pass on his way to the office. At a predetermined time when the red light of the traffic lights was on in the busy avenues, the assassin would be able to get the exact view of Serafetti aboard his limousine along his convoy.

And at that point one of the assassins pulled the trigger that allowed the fatal shot penetrate the shaded window glasses of the limousine enabling Serafetti to catch the fiery blow into his head.

It astonished the driver seeing Serafetti bleeding that prompted him to sound the siren and drove swiftly to nearby hospital. The convoy sounded their sirens as they swept the avenues to alert the public. Serafetti was pronounced dead upon his arrival to the nearby hospital. The news spread all over the country and to the world as the police tried to entrap and pursue the assassins where the incident happened but all their efforts were futile when the experts were able to escape without any trace.

The burial of Serafetti was seen by millions of people around the world as they mourned his untimely demise. World leaders paid homage to the fallen leader while Brother Lucianus immediately demanded from Pope Justinianus to take his vacated position. In his usual dark fashion, Brother Lucianus would appear in public as a politician and church leader. However, Sefaretti’s colleagues could not conceal their antipathy and apparent antagonism of his political ideology .

“ I never knew him operating in the church and in the government that way” one of them said.

“ He is heading to aspire for too much ” the other one whispered.

“ Where else do you think he is heading but to the peak ?” the first one added.

But behind their back, Brother Lucianus would retract his antagonists and they would not appreciate him when chance to get closer to him to flaunt his fang of enmity. Eccentric travail mostly happened when the dark swathed the entire horizon leaving no beam of lights but the glance of the moon that slowly showed itself from the dark clouds.

“ I should have told you before. You wouldn’t like me when you see me angry” he sighed to his opponent.

“ Who are you ?” the horrified opponent asked.

Later, the dead body would be found dumped somewhere in the grassy uninhabited area as many would give unfounded theories. Baffled authorities would find their search and massive investigation futile about the mystery arriving to varying and conflicting conclusions. Shrouded by undetermined mystery, succeeding slayings of prominent political antagonists ensued that alarmed the entire City. Pope Justinianus called on a citywide massive police manhunt for the suspected culprits perpetrating heinous crimes.

The killings of political figures alarmed the parliament that prompted Pope Justinianus to summon Brother Lucianus and the legislators to discuss measures to prevent the mysterious killings surrounding the political arena of the state.

“ I am now worried by the ceaseless killings of our legislators and our colleagues” the Pope sighed.

“ Perhaps, there is a need to restructure the political concept of the state so that the people may realize the true color of the political system” Brother Lucianus said.

“ What do you want to imply?” the Pope asked.

“ This is a political question that the citizenry should realize that there is need for an overall change for their benefit an welfare.” He insinuated.

“ I don’t understand your insinuation Brother Lucianus. What do you really want to say?” the Pope asked.

“ You will also realize later.”

“ There is no political question, but a personal aspiration to take the summit of political realm. Right?” one legislator sarcastically insinuated.

Brother Lucianus remained silent as he glanced sharply at the legislator with a restrained smile.

“ I would be glad to know you well. You are an interesting guy” he replied.

“ I am not interested” the legislator replied.

“ Gentlemen, we are here to resolve a particular issue. There is no need to squabble on unrelated issue.” the Pope said.

“ Yes, the crime of passion. The need to know who the murderer is.” Brother Lucianus insinuated.

Pope Justinianus and the rest of the solons in the meeting room were baffled by Brother Justinianus’ insinuation that the former later on adjourned the unfavorable result of the session.

The revelation of Brother Lucianus’ true identity was almost at the brink of expose. His occultism was still concealed from the real spiritual motive of Pope’s Creed in the Universal Vathikan Church.

Lucianus and his followers in an undetermined location would find occultism a way to reveal his diabolic identity. The antagonist-legislator did not find way to live longer and his cadaver was found floating in the river.

  19

The Papacy and the legislature became more anxious for fear of the next victim in their line.

“ We cannot blatantly accused Brother Lucianus for the series of murders as we do not have any proof ” Pope Justinianus said.

“ We strongly believe that Lucianus’ group is a cult and devil worshipper” said one legislator.

“ Yes, we must hunt them and stalked on their cult activity” said the second legislator.

“ I also have a strong negative feeling about his strange behavior” the Pope said.

In a clandestine action to stalk Bro. Lucianus’ occultism the authority came to believe when the sight of the rite was being performed by them. An obliteration team was organized to eradicate their activity. However, Bro. Lucianus and his colleagues sensed their intrepid action that they shunned them and escaped to an uninhabited area in Italy.

Bro. Lucianus appeared in the session in the Vathikan City and refuted any involvement in the wanton killings of his political critics in the presence of his political colleagues and the Pope.

“ They are all hearsays and my detractors just wanted to malign my reputation to bring me down” he said.

However, an indignant party who belligerently opposed and wanted him eliminated pursued their desire to finish him off. In a sunny day of a busy metropolis towards the parliament, two staunched-young man in black suits and shades
embarked from a dark-glistening limousine.

They lifted what looked like two black-oblong guitar cases and hastily walked their way up in two opposite directions, one went up the stairs of the nearby five-storey building and the other trod his way at the rooftop of the tavern. After a few minutes of a rush….

“Everything is set at the target, Comrade. “ the first assassin said as he clutched a wireless phone with his right hand clothed with black-glove.

“ Ten-four, Comrade. Get ready. In few minutes the subject is approaching” the second assassin replied.

In few moments, a dark-glistening limousine arrived along with other three similar limousines. Men in black suits and shades appeared and began to shield Bro. Lucianus who got off from his limo and stepped up the floors to the parliament of the Vathikan City. Passersby where driven away by the police escorts from their path while Paparazzis in their media paraphernalia struggled to hollow out. Both assassins in their high-powered lens began to graze at the subject. And slowly, a steady grip held and pulled the trigger of the long powerful-barreled gun. In few seconds when they found a clear chance, reverberating salvos sounded in the air.

Chaotic stampeding ensued as the alerted escorts drew out their guns while Bro. Lucianus fell bleeding prompting his men to swiftly take him back into the car and proceeded to the nearby hospital. As quickly as they could the assassins moved out from their respective positions and escaped their way out of the premises. Police tracked down the assassins and made their daring car chase in the skirts and avenues of the city as they exchanged fire with them.

Not too long the plotters pondered the marvel Bro Lucianus depicted in evading the fatal shots that could have had brought him down.

“ My lens would not lie. Exactly, at that point he would have been dead.” the first assassin professed.

“ My barrel is still solid steel and it has shown precision targets in many occasions, but I wonder why it failed “ the second assassin said.

“ Something quirky is saving him” the first assassin added.

“ We still have a second chance at the right time and at the right place.” the master plotter said.

Meantime, Bro, Lucianus was slightly harmed when the bullets missed him causing him some bruises in his arms. Immediately, he was released from confinement. In his meeting with the Pope and the legislators he had a valid and persuasive reason to tell them.

“ It only shows that I myself, is even prone to danger of being killed. How can anyone accused me of killing others?” he said.

“ It only happened that he was lucky to have escaped them” whispered one legislator-plotter with his colleague.

“ He was still being saved by his evil guardian. “ replied the other one.

“ No amount of bullet shall ever slay the devil” the third one said.

“ That’s unbelievable, Brother Lucianus . You were able to escape them? ” asked the Pope.

“ It only shows that there is an imminent danger in my person in all corners of this hall now” Bro. Lucianus declared.

Bro. Lucianus took immediate action of the imminent danger and the mob of death upon him. In the assembly of his congregation, wild and hostile cult warriors alerted themselves to attack the parliament. They vowed to take vengeance until they had taken over the Vathikan City into their dominion. In the hazy-end day the parliament of legislators turned into parliament of dead solons. The assembly of dark warriors of Bro Lucianus had swarmed the Vathikan City leaving Pope Justinianus alive in his captivity. The police authorities battling the dark warriors of Bro. Lucianus were astonished by the incredible prowess of their opponents leading them to back off. The dark warriors disappeared and assembled in their assembly hall where they took Pope Justinianus.

When the muddle was cleared, Bro. Lucianus and his men returned to Vathikan City as normal human beings. They took over the parliament and Bro. Lucianus was declared to be the new Pope by the conclave whose members were all replaced by the assembly of Bro. Lucianus’ dark army and deporting the original members back to Avignon, France, the original hometown of the Popes. Vathikan City was now being ruled by the dark Pope.

  20

Back to the habitat of the assembly of warriors where Pope Justinianus was being held captive. Bro Lucianus was pressing the Pope to embrace the Global Covenant Church’s creed and be one of them. Pope Justinianus was adamant until the point of death.

“ Who do you think you are?” asked Pope Justinianus.

“ You don’t really know me, Pope Justinianus. You don’t know how powerful I am” he added.

“ You are so powerful that you made it possible to murder your colleagues?” the Pope said.

“ Yes. And you won’t like me when I get angry” he continued.

“ What the hell are you?” he asked.

Bro. Lucianus covered his head with a hood that darkened his face and making it visible only his sharp bright eyes. The Pope was amazed and backed off as he stared at him. Bro. Lucianus got a chance to quote some lines back in time.

“ I am more than a hundred years old . If you know history, I will bring you back to the Middle Age Europe. Bajal , a Satanist was my father. He was killed by the spirit angel Kadziel, known as King Louis, the Defender of France and his wife, Queen Moraiza, my mother who conceived me before my father, Bajal was cornered to death “

“Bro. Lucianus was Lucien who, after the death of his stepfather, Kadziel or King Louis, left his mother Queen Moraiza in the palace in France with Raphael who succeeded to the throne of his biological father, Kadziel. Lucien in his habit on left the palace to pursue his career in serving the Papacy in St Peter’s de Basilica, Rome. However, after a few years of serving in the Papacy, the dark angel sent by Satan distracted him. He struggled against the spirit of the dark angel that wanted to enter his body to control him. The dreaded house of Papacy was in a spiritual crisis

Thinking that he was being possessed by the demon, the conclave and the Pope ordered the security personnel to confine him beneath the Basilica’s sanatorium for the sick where he was being exorcised by renown exorcists. At the dungeon, Lucien was tormented by the said exorcists to drive out the powerful evil spirit from his body. Consequently, the dark spirit that resided in him was so powerful that he slew his exorcists and escaped from his captivity. He went to the wilderness while being pursued by his tormentors that were supposed to burn him to death. Consequently, they all perished in the wilderness. He returned and haunted the home of the Papacy and killed some of his colleagues . The Pope fearing for his life decided to abandon the Papacy and fled to Avignon while Lucien was being hunted by the Italian authorities.

When Raphael, the King of France and Queen Moraiza learned about his horrible fate, Raphael went to Rome to assist the authorities to capture him. Raphael, being a legacy of a warrior king was able to trap a wildly- driven Lucien in one of his encounters and at the point of the magnificent sword that was inherited from his father, King Louis, Lucien was badly injured.

Raphael, being a half brother of Lucien still flaunted his brotherly care that he obtained assurance from the Vathikan authorities for his humane treatment. Raphael eventually went back to France bringing with him the trust he obtained from the Italian government for her mother Queen Moraiza.

The injured Lucien was brought back under the dungeon in shackles. The security staff in charge of the dungeon’s captives made sure he would not escape again. However, the vigilant security scared of Lucien’s wild incredible prowess thought of strapping Lucien’s limbs to prevent him from wielding force. Gradually, Lucien’s wounds healed and visibly he could show an incredible power to snap the chain strapped around his body. Then, again he killed his security but remained behind bars. Nobody could approach his cell for fear of being slew. Authorities forbade any security from approaching him, an indication that he had to be starved to death to end his demonic ways and slaying.

Later, after a month, the authorities believing that he was no longer wild and hostile decid
ed to open his cell. The sight of his chained body was lying on the floor as his hollow and murky face signified his lengthy ordeal in his monotonous captivity. The government authority procured a sturdy and fashionably designed casket for marvelous creatures where his cadaver would be housed with chain and shackles still on to guarantee that he would not escape if ever he would rise.

His remains were brought back to France at the request of Queen Moraiza and was to be buried in the town’s old cemetery during the winter crest. At that time, France was at war with rival kingdom when French troops dragging Lucien’s casket on his way home was ambushed.

While hostilities were raging, the four horses dragging Lucien’s casket were disturbed and went wild and ran nowhere until it rolled down from the woods down to the icy river. The four horses ran wild off track while the French troops continued to battle with the enemies.

The enemies were stifled and some French troops survived but unable to track down the lost coffin in the midst of raging blizzard in the woods. Eventually, when the war abated Raphael as King Louis ordered the scouring of the site to locate the fallen casket of Lucien until Queen Moraiza who was in deep sorrow waiting for Lucien’s remains died.

But the search for the missing casket was futile. Beyond their knowledge the coffin was drifted under the rapid flowing current afar from the site. Several decades had passed until Raphael died and succeeded by his son, Raphael II and after a few years Raphael’s wife died. France had gone through many wars in the later times.
