“Hi, got your… um… written invitation to dinner.” He looked disheveled as if he hadn’t slept.

“Good, looks like you could use a drink first?”

He nodded and found his way to the wicker sofa on the porch, “I sure could. I ended up spending the night at the hospital last night.”

“Oh no, everything’s okay I hope?” I handed him a cocktail, extra strong.

“Yes and no. My friend isn’t going to make it, but now he seems to be more at ease with that. He’s ready to start making his plans now, and so that’s good I think.”

“It must be hard being a doctor. Is that why you took an early retirement?” I sat down so close to him that our thighs touched.

He shook his head, “No, I left because I felt like I wasn’t making a difference. Between the new health system and my ex wife, I’d have been making minimum wage. I guess I just decided that it wasn’t worth it.”

“I can see why you’d feel that way,” I ran my newly painted pink fingers across his thigh and in return received a startled look but he was silent. “Sorry about your friend. It makes me think about my own Bucket List and all the things I’ve wanted to do but have never gotten around to.”

Enlightened by the change of subject he asked, “Such as?”

I took a long sip of my drink, “Oh you know, travel, perhaps move home to be near my sister, relax a bit and take my mind off the devil’s daughter.”

He choked a bit, “The devil’s daughter?”

“Um, yes, my child whose father happens to be the devil and from him she inherited an almost non-existent level of common sense.”

“Ah!” he nodded, “I call it Dumbass Syndrome. My son has a case of it.” And he laughed.

With a smile I ran my fingers up and down his thigh. He said nothing, but the goose bumps on his legs were statement enough. “Are you hungry?”

He shook his head, “I was when I walked through that door.” The rise in his lap was respectable so I continued to toy with the hem of his shorts.

“Dinner is on stand-by. Would you like to join me in my bedroom?”

Nothing could have kept him in his seat, with the speed of a flash he was standing before me pulling me to him. Desire twisted in my gut, anticipation hammered in my chest, and every second seemed like an eternity as he guided me towards the bedroom. He undressed me as we stammered across the sandy wood floors. First my tank top slid over my head, then he stopped to kiss me and his fingers trailed down to the button on my shorts and fumbled. “I thought doctors were experts at undressing?” I whispered, consumed with his scent against my neck.

My shorts slid over my thighs and to the floor in answer to my question. My heart wrenched as he stood back and admired me in my bra and panties, there was a glow in his eyes that was new and intense and I reeled backwards onto the bed. He moved over me, freeing each breast but not removing my bra. He nibbled them tenderly checking my eyes for a pleasurable response, as if he wasn’t sure of himself. His insecurity struck me like a bolt and made me want to cuddle him, pull him inside me and keep him there warm and safe.

Slowly he worked himself downward spurred on by my purrs and moans and I felt the wetness of his mouth and the trail it left chilled under the fan on the ceiling. He was hard; I could feel his pressure against my calves as he pulled my panties down my hips. Already I wanted him; I wanted him so bad there was an ache in my abdomen. It was the pull of a woman who knows exactly where and how she wants her cock. I could’ve pointed to it was so clear and precise. But his tongue toyed with me, causing the ache to become stronger and more desperate with each strum of his mouth against my tender petals.

It was clear that he was enjoying himself; he noticed each shiver of my clit and the tiniest movements that I made, some I wasn’t even aware of. Every thought, every muscle was under his control now as he licked and sucked until I writhed beneath his mouth like a wild animal.

“Oh God, Gentry!” I groaned, digging my fingers into his thick gray hair as my hips did an imaginary dance against his open mouth.

“Come for me,” he whispered. “I want to see your face when you come for me.” Two fingers slid inside me pressing hard against my ache and allowing me no time to consider waiting until he fucked me. I couldn’t hold back the scream. My head tossed frantically on the bed and my hips bucked against his fingers with untamed abandon. But he continued to devour me, claiming each beat of my pulse and every tremor and drop of milky fluid to himself.

I exploded. Stars rang through my field of vision and I thrashed like a ferocious beast under his control. He removed his fingers and planted a firm kiss against my mound, “Gives a whole new meaning to ‘the doctor is in,’ doesn’t it?”

Still breathless I managed a laugh, but seeing him looming above me, his thin hips growing into massive broad shoulders with tinges of graying hair around his nipples and neckline. I couldn’t be sure when he’d removed his clothes and refused to take the time to consider. He was hard now, pushing against my thighs as his tongue licked my lips. His kisses were deep and sensual, playful yet serious, every small movement he made began to register now and I lay beneath him relishing in his touch.

“Are you ready for me, Brit?” he asked. The huskiness of his voice almost caused me to explode again.

“Yes,” I whispered and I was certain that I was.

Lifting himself, he guided his manhood towards me. I looked down to watch his swollen head breach me. I drew in a deep breath and released it as a smothered cry as he pushed inside. My head fell back to the bed.

“Damn you’re tight!” He pushed further and I shuddered as my body spasmed around him. Each small push and withdrawal he made had a riotous effect, and as sanity fled my body I thrashed against him intent only on gathering him deep inside me.

His palms knotted the bed covering and he growled as worry was replaced by lust. I could see the transformation taking place in him, the release moving closer and closer, but I was powerless beneath his thrusts. Reaching between us I pushed my fingers hard against my clit as it hammered against his pelvis, the effect was to tighten me further and his groan filled the room as I burst out with a scream that could have reached China.

Gasping for air he tumbled beside me pulling me with him until I was snug beneath his arm. “Damn woman, just damn.”

I chuckled, “Can I get a regular prescription for that?”

He turned towards me, his eyes sparkling, and said, “You most certainly can!”

  *-*-*-*-*

The morning light shone through the blinds in the bedroom like a piercing blaze. We hadn’t cooked dinner last night and my stomach was churning like tennis shoes in the dryer. I glanced at the pillow next to me, it was empty but coffee wafted through the doorway and drew me from my cozy spot. “Good morning,” I said wandering to the coffee maker nude.

“Well, good morning my Queen. Did you sleep well?”

I nodded as he kissed me gently. “Good then, I have an idea. First tell me how long you have before you need to get back.”

Sitting at the table I studied him and noticed he’d put his shorts on this morning, no doubt to walk Turner. His legs were outstanding, but it was his chest and the muscles that rippled when he laughed that caught me and held me. I had not one single interest in leaving him at all at the moment, of course duty would call and it did.

  “Hello Mom?”

“Good morning darling, how are you?”

“Actually I’m doing really well. Listen, I was wondering. They have this program upstate that the Doc thinks would do me a world of good.”

“Okay tell me more,” I said already feeling my blood pressure rise.

“Sort of an outward bound thing. We learn cool stuff like horseback riding and sailing but there’s also a bunch of doctors and staff there. A few of my friends here are going and I was wondering…”

“And what’s the name of this place?” She knew I was the master detective now, her antics in the past had more than warranted it.

  “Lake Pierson Ranch.”

I repeated the name aloud and looked pleadingly at Gentry he nodded with a grin and gave me two thumbs up.

“And how long do you plan on staying at this ranch?”

“Generally speaking it is a one year program, but if finances are an issue then I’m sure they’d let me out sooner.”

I laughed, “Yes I’m sure they would. Go ahead and go. Enjoy yourself and learn something. Text me a list of everything you need and this afternoon I’ll call your doctor and make all the arrangements. And Christie, darling?”

“I love you too Mom,” she said before the words escaped my lips. “And Mom? Try and have some fun why don’t you?”

With a laugh, “I think I will. Love you.”

Glancing up at Gentry I could almost see the wheels turning in his mind, “It’s a year long program you know.”

“Then I suppose the answer to your question is one year, that’s how long I have.”

He moved beside me allowing my hands to trail up the silken hairs on his legs, “Perfect.”

“Oh really and why is that?”

“Because I’ve decided that your bucket list is more exciting than mine, so I just went online and bought two tickets to Italy.”

“For who?” I asked tentatively because as of last night it appeared that he had only a few days left on this earth.

“For us silly,” he grinned. “God please tell me I didn’t jump the gun here. You will go with me, won’t you?”

I shook my head, “I don’t know. We’ve just met and only slept together one night. I mean what if we get across the ocean and decide we can’t stand one another?”

“Not going to happen. As far as the sleeping together goes, I can promise more experience with that before we leave.” His expression was alive with excitement and the thrill of adventure and he was hard to say no to.

I nodded, “Okay I’ll go but you have to let me pay for my ticket.” Already I was calculating how much I’d get to cash in my retirement fund.

“Nope, I won’t hear of it. You may not realize it Britty, but I owe you a huge debt of gratitude. You’ve saved me. I insist on paying for the entire trip and all the bells and whistles.”

“Oh I can’t let you do that.”

“Yet you can let me do this?” He lowered himself between my bare thighs and issued a generously wet kiss to my mound. Peering up at me he raised one eyebrow, “Well?”

“Alright, I’ll go!” And truly I felt free to do so; the immediate crisis seemed solved and for the first time in many years I didn’t feel like a war was going on inside my heart. His lips pressed against my opening and my head tilted back over the kitchen chair, my hands went to his hair urging him on.

Washington’s newest Senatorial Intern Leila Johnson has an attitude that rivals that of Lindsay Graham on Benghazi. While most college students would sell themselves for such an opportunity, Leila was handed the job on a silver platter. Of course she’d been raised since birth to be a politician; she’d been sent away from home at a young age in an effort to make her cold and calculating. She’d been educated within an inch of her life. As the Senator’s Chief of Staff, her mother would have nothing less than the best for her daughter. It never would occur to her that being with her mother may have been the best thing for Leila. You may know of Pa
tricia Johnson; she was most recently featured in Time Magazine’s list of Top 100 Bitches in the U.S. She came in an honorable 18th.

Leila Johnson isn’t your typical intern, and if she’d been in Washington more than a week she could’ve knocked her mother right out of that 18th position. She knows what she wants, and knows how to get it. A summer internship in her mother’s office is perfect for a young woman with aspirations of climbing the political ladder. With the Senator squarely in her sights, Leila is positioned to add another notch on her bedpost as she pads her resume at the same time.

The last time she saw Logan McNarry he was a skinny, silver spooned brat. However, dinner at the Senator’s house was a bigger surprise than she ever imagined. Logan was all grown up now, and definitely not how she remembered him. He was nice, gentle, and worst of all, a hopeless romantic. None of the things that would further her career. But Logan brings out something in her that’s not familiar. With him she laughs, she makes love, and dare she think it… feels loved.

His father, on the other hand, represents all she hopes to achieve: Money, power, and status. And the fact that the Senator has no problem masterfully using his interns fits absolutely perfectly into her plans. Add in his handsome, rugged exterior that simply reeks of power, and she was panting and ready to climb any ladder he presented. David McNarry wastes no time un-wrapping his new intern and teaching her the ropes of Washington, even though he is all too aware that if Patricia catches him with her daughter he’s road kill.

This vicious Washington political story wraps itself around the McNarry family, showing just how their deceitful relationships intertwine. And in their midst, Leila struggles to overcome her own stereotypes as she steams with Senator David McNarry and melts into the arms of his son Logan. Which man should she choose? The one who fills her heart? Or the one who can put her in the White House?
