My eyes slid open, not realizing I had closed them in the first place.

  “Control me,” she whispered.

  My hips stopped. “What?”

“Control me,” she repeated, firmer that time. “You need it.”

“How the hell could you know that?”

She rolled her eyes. “How could I not know?” She placed a soft kiss on my chin. “I know you need to control every inch of me. You need it just as much as I need to submit to you.”

“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said through clenched teeth.

“No? I don’t? How about the fact that you put me on birth control without asking me. You locked me away because you were scared other men would snatch me up before you could.”

“Careful, Eve,” I warned. “You’re not in any position to be throwing that shit at me.” I lifted her hips, pushing into her as deep as her body would allow.

“Maybe not,” she breathed, her pupils dilating. “But I know you’re fighting yourself.”

I shook my head. “You don’t want to play with that part of me, Eve.”

“No?” She pulled her hands from mine and ran them down my back before cupping my ass and tugging me deeper inside of her.

I shivered, breathing through the orgasm that wanted to coat her from the inside out.

“Let me play.” She licked along my bottom lip. “Please.”

“Eve,” I gritted out, my body shaking. “I’m warning you.” Only a moment ago, I had wanted to show her how I truly was but I wasn’t expecting her to need it as much as I did.

“You told me last time you would show me how you really are.” She kissed my pec, running her tongue over my nipple. “Show me.”

“No.” I pulled out and thrust back inside of her, trying to focus on the release I craved, but instead her words poked against that darkness. They tickled the beast inside of me, begging him to come out and play.

  “Show me,” she repeated. “Greyson.”

“Fuck.” I wrapped my hand around her throat, staring intently into her eyes. “You don’t want that part of me, Eve. Because once you meet that side, there’s no going back. Do you understand me?” I didn’t know why I was fighting myself. Why one moment I wanted to show her every inch of me and then the next, I refused. It fucked with my head, and I didn’t know how to handle it.

“I already know you’re an asshole but you don’t scare me, Greyson. I need that side of you,” she said gently. “Please, help me.”

“Fuck,” I bellowed, pulling from her and jumped off the bed. “You can’t do this. You can’t want this side of me.”

“Why the hell not?” She sat up, leaning on her elbows. “What is so wrong with that side of you?”

I paced back and forth, cupping my erection to ease the pressure because her words were hitting something I needed. But I couldn’t. I refused. But I wanted it. Demanded it in the beginning before she even asked for it. Maybe just a taste? No. Shit.

“Greyson,” she repeated, sliding off the bed. “Please.”

“No,” I shouted, spinning on her. “Get out. Get the fuck out of my room.” Not waiting for her response, I stormed into the bathroom and slammed the door shut before sliding to the floor.

What the hell was wrong with me? She was beautiful. She wanted me. She was submitting to me. And I couldn’t do it.

When the sound of a door closed, I dropped my head into my hands.

Her scent wafted into my nose. It was everywhere. On my tongue. My lips. My cock. I could feel her. Taste her. Smell her. And I kicked her out. Why? All because I was a pussy who was too scared to show her how I liked the dark side of sex.

  Fuck my life.

I DIDN’T KNOW what the hell just happened but I refused to be part of Greyson’s mood swings any longer. He drove me absolutely crazy with both lust and need. I wasn’t sure if I ever felt this way before. How could I know? My eyes burned, my throat constricting over everything that had fallen on my life in the past month.

Greyson didn’t want me? Fine. Then I wasn’t staying.

When he kicked me out of his room and shut himself in the bathroom, I quickly got dressed, grabbed his wallet, and left. I should have felt guilty for stealing from him but screw him. He wanted to be an ass? Well, he was going to pay for it. I also had to put on one of his shirts seeing as he cut my own off of me. A tremor of anger rumbled through me.

A meow sounded off in the distance.

“You can have him,” I told the black cat, and left the room.

I didn’t even head back to the room I was staying in. What was the point? It wasn’t like I had anything of value in it.

Wiping the tears from under my eyes, I quietly made my way out of the large house but not before I ran right into a hard body.

“Hey, Eve.” Tray grabbed my shoulders, steadying me. “Where are you off to in such a rush?” He checked his phone. “Especially at this hour.”

“I was just getting a drink.” I shrugged out of his grip and headed to the bar. Grabbing a bottle of water, I used the excuse that I was thirsty so he wouldn’t stop me from leaving. “You can also tell Greyson that he can go fuck himself.”

Tray raised an eyebrow, his lips pulling up into a grin. “Oh? What did he do now?”

My palms twitched, itching to slap the smug look off his face. “Why don’t you ask him.” I spun on my heel and headed for the door.

  “Where are you going?”

Shit. “I just need to get some air,” I mumbled.

“Be careful,” Tray told me. “I don’t need Greyson on my ass for this shit.”

He wouldn’t have to worry about that anymore.

Without waiting for Tray to respond, I left the house and made my way back to the woods. I glanced over my shoulder every so often to see if Tray was following me. When I was satisfied that he wasn’t, I picked up the pace and ran into the woods.

This was a stupid move on my part but I couldn’t handle staying under the same roof as Greyson. He wanted me and then pushed me away. This back and forth shit pissed me off. Well, he wouldn’t have to deal with me anymore.

The deeper into the woods I got, the harder my heart raced. This was a bad idea. A stupid, stupid idea. I didn’t know what lay beyond the woods but I knew I had to get away from Greyson. He made me question everything. My sanity. My damn life. I didn’t know anything before meeting him. He opened up something inside me but pushed me away just the same. And because of him, I was making stupid choices.

Get it together, Eve. You got this. Don’t let a man win.

But he was winning. I could sense the battle in him. He wanted me. I knew he did but for whatever reason, he was just too fucked up to see it.

As I got deeper into the woods, the light of the moon dimmed, casting eerie shadows on everything around me.

My memories brought me back to when I first showed up at Greyson’s.

He had been miserable then but, for whatever reason, I felt drawn to him. I wanted more. I didn’t have my life before him. No one was looking for me. No one missed me. Without Greyson, I was alone. And even with him, I still felt like I was all by myself.

A twig cracking off in the distance sent a shiver down my spine. My heart started racing. The only light source I had was from the shitty burner phone Catch had given me. This was a bad idea.

Suddenly, the hairs on my body stood on end. A shadow loomed over me, the sounds of the branches and debris breaking even louder than before.

A sob escaped my throat. “Please don’t hurt me.”

  (Greyson)

What the hell did I just do? With the raging hard-on between my legs, I took a shower. The water didn’t ease the rush of lust racing through me. All I could smell was Eve. Her taste was still on my lips. Her breath in my lungs. Why the fuck did I push her away?

“Dammit,” I shouted, punching my fist into the tiled wall. A sharp pain shot up my arm but I only shook it off.

Before I thought twice about it, I wrapped
a hand around my dick, trying to ease the tension but it only made it worse. The water heated my skin. Eve’s cries invaded my ears. I was so damn terrified to let her in.

My hand stroked from base to tip, the orgasm I craved forcing pre-cum to fall from the slit.

A hard knock sounded on the door, interrupting my release.

“Fuck,” I bit out, ignoring whoever was at the door. They needed to wait. I couldn’t do anything until I came. Thoughts of Eve surrounded me. Her sweet heat. Her beauty.

“Greyson,” a deep voice barked from the other side of the door.

  Shit. “What?” I snapped back.

The door pushed open. “I think Eve left.”

“What?” I covered myself and leaned a head out the shower door. “What are you going on about?”

“Eve,” Tray said. “I think she’s gone. She mentioned something about getting air.”

“You let her leave?” I boomed, slamming the shower door open so hard, it creaked on its hinges.

“What the fuck do you want me to do, Grey?” Tray shoved a towel in my hands. “She was pissed over whatever you did. I know when not to mess with a woman’s wrath. And I didn’t let her do anything. She went outside. I watched her. But I got a call from Catch, turned around for two motherfucking seconds and next thing I know, she’s gone.”

“Fuck.” I turned off the water and stormed into my room. My gaze landed on the disheveled sheets but I refused to think about what was done in that bed not even a half hour ago.

“What happened?” Tray asked, leaning against the dresser.

“Same shit that always happens with women,” I muttered. They wanted the real me but when I refused to give it to them, they got upset. But this pissed me off way more than before.

“Whatever it is, we need to find her.” Tray headed to the door. “I think she went to the woods.”

  (Eve)

Whatever noise it was that I had heard, it didn’t happen again. The rustling of the wind whipping through the trees set my nerves on edge. The dim light of the shitty phone I held onto did nothing for the racing of my heart, either.

I turned around, glancing in both directions when my stomach sunk to my feet. I was lost. Just great. That helped a lot. I let out a string of curses when I heard a deep chuckle. I knew that laugh.

  Greyson.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, thankful that I was no longer alone but still pissed that it had to be him to come and find me.

“I came to find you.” He took a step toward me, coming into the light from the phone.

“How did you find me so easily?” I frowned, staring up at his too handsome face that I really wanted to punch.

“I’ve lived here for a while. I have these woods memorized.” He shrugged. “Why did you leave?”

“You kicked me out,” I reminded him.

“I kicked you out of my room, Eve,” he corrected. “Not out of my house.”

“I couldn’t stay there with you. You’re mad all of the time and I haven’t done anything to you.”

“You demand things of me that I can’t give you.” He took a step closer. “That’s the problem.”

“I’m not scared of you. I’m not scared of that dark side of you. Whatever you want to call it. I don’t give a shit about it or what you’ve done or who you’ve done it to. I only asked for you. That was it. And you pushed me away when you told me you were going to show me the real you in the first place. So, which is it, Greyson? Either you want to show me or you don’t.” A part of me wondered if I had been so honest before I lost my memory. But now, it was like I had nothing else to lose. So, honesty was all I had.

“I …” His mouth opened and closed before he let out a huff. “I’ve never had a woman tell me exactly what was on her mind before.”

“Well, one of us has to be honest, Greyson.” I went to walk past him when he grabbed my arm.

“I’ve been honest with you from the beginning.” He pulled me back against him. “I told you that you had to be careful. That you shouldn’t want me. That I’m not good enough for you. And then when I finally fuck you, you still continue pushing me.”

“I know you want to show me that side of you.” He demanded for me to beg for it and when I did he shut me out. It confused me.

I turned in his arms, grazing my hands down his chest and sliding them inside his leather jacket. “I’m not scared. Maybe I should be but I’m not. I don’t know what happened to me. I don’t know who I was before I lost my memory. I can’t remember anything but this …” I inhaled the delicious scent of spice and leather. “I know I want this.”

Greyson cupped my nape, curling his fingers into my hair. “You shouldn’t.”

“Why are you fighting me? You said you would show me that side of you. What changed your mind?”

  “When you begged.”

I frowned, leaning my head back. I didn’t want to push him but then another part of me did. It was an internal battle. He was the only constant thing in my life. Until we figured out what the hell happened to me, he was what I needed.

“Eve.” He leaned down, brushing his nose up the length of my neck. “I can’t give you what you need. I’m not a good idea. I’ve done shit to survive and make a name for myself. I did anything just to make it to where I am now.”

“You are a good guy, Greyson. You’re good to your crew. To me.”

His hold on my neck tightened. Forcing my head back, he stared intently into my eyes. “I’m warning you. I’m not a hero in your romance books. I’m not the knight in shining armor. You don’t want me.”

I swallowed hard, pulling him tighter against me. “Yes. I do.”

In a quick move, Greyson pushed me up against the nearest tree. “You don’t. You deserve more. So much more.” His body was stiff, his muscles shaking beneath my touch. He was fighting it. This want, this need. I could feel the heat coming off of him, the erection between his powerful legs. As much as he tried denying it, he liked it when I begged and pleaded for more.

  “Greyson,” I whispered.

“Fuck it,” he growled, wrapping his hand around my throat. “You want me?”

“Yes,” I croaked, licking my dry lips.

“Are you sure?” he asked, his deep voice rough and firm.

  “Yes,” I breathed. “I’m sure.”

“Are you absolutely fucking positive that you want me?” His hand moved from my throat to the collar of my shirt.

“I’m positive,” I told him, waiting, wondering what the hell he was going to do.

“No.” He gripped the collar with both hands. “Repeat it. Say you’re absolutely fucking positive that you want me.”

  “I …”

“Say it, Eve.” He pushed me harder against the tree.

“I am absolutely fucking positive that I want you,” I repeated, anticipation coursing through me like a raging inferno.

Greyson chuckled, the sound deep and cold. Spinning me around, he shoved me against the tree and ripped my shirt in half.

I gasped, the fabric falling off me and pooling around my feet.

Leaning toward my ear, he bit the soft spot beneath it. “There’s no going back now, Eve.” He pushed his waist into the seat of my ass, rubbing his hard length against me. “You said the words.”

“Greyson,” I whimpered, gripping the tree. The bark dug into my fingers, the cool night air whipped around me.

“Shut up.” He covered my breasts, pressing into me. “You will call me Sir and nothing else. Do you understand me?”

“And if I don’t?” I asked, poking the beast inside of him.

“Are you sure you want to play that game?”

  “Yes,” I answered automatically.

“Good.” He bit my shoulder. “I was hoping you would say that.”

I COULDN’T FIGHT it anymore. This need for her drove me absolutely insane. She wanted that beast inside of me? Well, he sure as fuck wanted her.

My rough, calloused hands roamed up her na
ked torso and cupped her tits. Pinching her nipples between my fingers, I squeezed until she was writhing against me.

Eve gripped the trunk of the tree, her ass pushing into my waist.

Whatever happened between us, I knew that this was it. There would be no going back.

Her need to push me until I snapped drove me to the point that all I could think about was getting back inside her.

Lowering to my knees behind her, I kissed her tailbone before ripping her pants down her legs.

  She shivered, spreading her legs.

“Don’t move.” I slapped her ass.

A whimper escaped her, forcing her legs apart even more.

My hand landed against her ass cheek for added effect. “What did I say? Only I tell you when to move, Eve. I tell you what to say. What to do. If you want me, that side of me that you think you need, then you will follow my rules. Do you understand me?”

  She nodded.

“Words, Eve. Give me your fucking words.”

  “Yes,” she whispered.

“Yes, what?” I slapped her ass when she didn’t respond. “Yes, what?” I repeated, enjoying her defiance.

“Yes, Greyson,” she said, licking her lips. Her eyes were wild, filled with lust and determination not to give in so easily.

“Not what I was looking for.” Gripping her plump rear in my hands, I squeezed until she cried out. “Say it. Yes, what?”

“Yes. Sir.” She glared down at me.

I chuckled, leaning toward her, and brushed my nose from her center to the spot between her ass and inhaled. The sweet acidic scent from her wet pussy wafted through me. I repeated the movement. I couldn’t get enough of her smell. “You’re wet for me, Eve. You like being told what to do. You enjoy being treated like a little slut, don’t you?”

“I’m not a slut,” she bit out through clenched teeth.

“I never said you were.” I swiped my tongue over her tight little asshole. “I said you enjoy being treated like one. Big difference.”

“Do you like being a sadistic fuck who gets off on degrading women?”
