While everyone else was enjoying the party, Tray, Catch, and I searched for Penny. The idea that someone was hurting her made me see red. The longer time wore on, the more blood I craved.
“We’ll find her,” Tray told me ten minutes later.
Just as I opened my mouth to say something, a round of laughter sounded from the hallway leading to the room where Eve used to sleep. I motioned for Tray and Catch to follow me, careful not to make any noise.
Once we made it down the hall, we stopped in front of the bathroom that I let everyone who came and went from the place, use. The laughter grew louder then.
I nodded to Catch.
He slowly opened the door and jumped back just as I charged inside. But what I saw, although I expected it, still sent rage soaring through me.
Two young fuckers who didn’t even notice me, zeroed in on a soaked Penny who was cowering into the corner of the bathroom. She hissed and spat, her hair standing on end.
“Having fun, boys?” I bit out through gritted teeth.
The one slimy bastard stood upright, his eyes widening when they landed on me.
The other one only sneered.
“What are you doing to my cat?” Before either of them could respond, I had the guy closest to me bent over the counter with his arm twisted behind his back. A little more and … pop.
He screamed as his elbow broke.
Tray and Catch grabbed the other guy, stopping him from charging toward me.
“Aww. Don’t be a baby.” I leaned down. “I’m just doing to you what you were planning on doing to my cat.” I took the knife out of his good hand.
“It’s just a cat,” he wheezed.
“It’s just a cat,” I repeated. “It’s just a cat. Did you know that?” I asked Tray and Catch.
They both shrugged, shaking their heads.
“What’s your name?” I gave the guy beneath me a little shake when he didn’t answer my question. “What’s your name?” I repeated slowly.
“Gabe,” he whimpered.
Not so tough now. “What club do you belong to? You’re not patched. Are you with a puppet club?”
“I …” He coughed.
I pulled his arm tighter, the bone in his elbow cracking even more.
He yelled out.
“Catch, get Penny out of here and put her in my room,” I told him, not taking my eyes off the fucker who tried hurting my pet.
“On it, boss.” With minimal struggle from Penny, Catch was able to pick her up, wrap her in a towel and carry her out of the bathroom.
Tray still had a hold of the other fucker.
“What do you want to do?” he asked me, a glimmer of hope dancing in his eyes.
I smirked, leaning down to Gabe. “I suggest you answer my questions.”
“Travis. It was Travis. I swear. We had nothing to do with this. We were going to scare her because we were told how much you love that cat. He wanted to start small.” The word vomit poured from Gabe. Much to my surprise, he actually gave me the answers I was looking for.
“Why? What does Travis want?” I pulled Gabe up by the scruff of his neck and slammed him up against the wall. “You have one second to tell me.”
“I don’t know.” He held his broken arm. “I swear. He only mentioned your cat. Nothing else.”
“I want you to relay a message to him.” I cupped the fucker’s jaw, forcing him to look at me. “Can you do that?”
He nodded quickly.
“Good.” I slapped his cheek. “Tell Travis that no matter what happens, no matter what part he has in this fucked up game, I will enjoy dancing in his entrails.”
A HALF HOUR later and I was on edge. I didn’t know where the guys went and I sure as hell didn’t know if Penny was fine. But just as I turned to grab more beer for the rest of the crew, I found Catch coming toward me with Penny in his arms.
“Oh, God. Is she okay?” I rushed to him, petting a hand over her head.
She purred, the soft rumble vibrating through me.
“She is now. Some fucker got her wet. Who knows what else they were going to do to her.” Catch shook his head. “I’ll never understand people who prey on animals like it’s a big joke. People are fucked, Eve. Plain and simple.” He hugged Penny tighter against his chest and carried her down the hall to the other side of the large house.
I watched him leave, hoping with everything in me that the bastards who hurt the poor kitty, got theirs.
“Eve.”
My body heated at the deep voice in my ear. “What happened?” I asked, turning toward him.
Greyson let out a hard sigh, pushing his hand through his hair. “We’ll talk later. Right now, I need a drink.”
I stood on tiptoes and kissed his cheek. “Go sit.” I headed back behind the bar. “I’ll bring you a beer.”
“You’re a good woman, Eve.” Greyson came up behind me, wrapping his arm around my middle. “And you taste even better.”
“Hmm …” I pushed my ass into his waist. “Like peaches?”
He chuckled, kissing the side of my neck. “Peaches and cream, baby. But before I start fucking you in front of my crew, you need to get this beautiful ass away from me.”
“You’re blaming me?” I scoffed. “Right, Greyson. I can’t help the fact that you can’t keep your hands off of me.”
“And who can’t keep their hands off of me? I’m a fucking God remember?” he teased, throwing my own words back at me.
“Yeah, yeah. Go sit your ass somewhere and I’ll bring you a beer, your holiness.” I grabbed a couple of bottles from the fridge, placing them on a tray.
“I think I like the sound of that. It has a nice ring to it.” He tapped his chin. “Maybe I’ll have you call me that instead of Sir.”
I rolled my eyes but I couldn’t help the smile forming on my face. “Okay, your holiness. I have your beer for you. Anything else you need? Maybe a massage? A sponge bath?”
Catch came behind the bar, grabbing his own beer from the fridge. “Hey, if you’re offering.”
“Catch,” Greyson growled.
I laughed, shaking my head.
“I’m going to kill them,” he muttered under his breath.
“Nah.” I came around the other side of the bar, holding the tray of beer out in front of me. “You won’t. But it is fun seeing you squirm.”
Greyson huffed, took the tray from me and headed to a table some of his crew was sitting at.
“He’s too easy.” Catch laughed, leaning against the bar. “You know that, right?”
“You guys need to leave him alone.” Although, I did enjoy their banter. Even when Catch and Tray drove him crazy, I knew that he loved them like family. “And I don’t think Greyson has ever been easy.”
Catch’s laugh deepened. “True.”
Suddenly, warm hands cupped my stomach.
I screeched, spinning around, and found Tray standing behind me with a goofy grin on his face. “Don’t do that, asshole.” I punched his arm.
He chuckled. “How are you feeling?”
“Fine.” I blew out a slow breath. “I’m fine.”
“It’s funny …” Tray paused. “I never thought pregnant women would turn me on.”
“Seriously?” I punched him again. “Are you guys trying to get your asses kicked?” I looked over at Greyson. He was chatting with someone else from his crew but he didn’t seem to notice the commotion behind the bar. Thank God for that.
“He would never hurt us.” Catch nodded toward Tray. “Isn’t that right, brother?”
Tray moved to Catch’s side, hooking an arm around his shoulders. “That’s right.”
I looked between the two of them. They were hot. Not as big as Greyson but definitely just as good looking. Although, they weren’t as mean. Maybe they shared women. Or men. I had seen the way Catch looked at Greyson from time to time. That longing in his eyes. That hope for something more. Oh, God. Did I take Grey away from him? Maybe they had threesomes.
Wow, E
ve. I shook my head. Pregnancy brain was clearly messing me up.
“I wonder what she’s thinking about,” Tray said to Catch.
“Us probably.” Catch winked.
“Nothing.” I moved past them. “Nothing at all.” And that was when I noticed her. A woman. She was sitting across from Greyson. They were in a booth so I could see their feet. She was trying to rub her foot against Greyson’s crotch and not being discreet about it. He kept pushing her away but she would repeat it. Over and over again.
My heart jumped, my stomach dropping to my feet. Before I knew what I was doing, I was standing in front of their table.
“Hi,” I said sweetly. “What’s your name?”
The woman frowned. “Candy.”
“Of course it is.” In a quick move, I cupped the back of her neck and smashed her face against the table.
She screamed, blood spurting from her nose.
Gasps and muttered responses sounded around the table but I ignored them.
“You see that man sitting across from you?” I looked at Greyson. “He’s mine,” I told her in between her whimpers. “I’m also pregnant. So I would be very careful about the men you’re trying to pick up.” She didn’t need to know that the baby wasn’t his. That was beside the point.
“You’re a fucking bitch,” she cried, cupping her nose.
“I’m a bitch?” I laughed. “Listen to me good, little girl.” My voice took on a tone that shocked even me. “If I ever see you around here again, I’ll tie you to a table and tell all of the guys that come into this place to do whatever they want to you. You’ll be ridden more than a horse at a rodeo.” I wouldn’t do that, either. It went against my moral code as a fellow woman but the whore was all over my man.
“You broke my nose,” she sobbed.
She was lucky that was all I did.
“You should get that checked out.” I stood aside, letting her slide out of the booth. I spun around and headed back to the bar.
“I can’t believe you actually did that.” Tray laughed, hooking an arm around my shoulder.
“Yeah, well she shouldn’t have been all over Greyson.” I glanced his way over my shoulder.
He was coming toward me. Feral. Hard. His eyes were dark. His nostrils flared. His jaw ticked.
I gulped.
“Tray,” he said, his voice deep and rough. “Handle the bar.”
“On it.” Tray winked at me.
“Wait.” I held my hands up as Greyson came toward me. “What’s going—” I squealed when he charged for me. Running down the hall, I almost made it to his door when I was suddenly thrown over his shoulder and carried into his bedroom.
“Greyson, put me down.” I beat my fists against his back.
His hand landed against my ass.
Swat. Swat. Swat.
I was silenced by the delicious sting of his palm.
Greyson slammed me up against the wall and wrapped my legs around his waist. Instead of saying anything, he gripped my shirt and ripped it in half. “I know I should be gentle.” His teeth sunk into my jaw. “I don’t want to hurt the baby but fuck, Eve. I need …”
He was shaking, fighting for that control he lost so long ago.
“You won’t hurt the baby.” I arched against him. “Please, Greyson.”
Placing me on my feet, he spun me around and hooked his fingers into the waistband of my leggings. Cool metal slid between the cheeks of my ass when Grey tugged me against him. He grunted his approval, his fingers running over my naked skin.
I shivered, trembling against the door but words were frozen on my tongue. I just waited. Like a good little girl until he gave me the direction he so desired.
Ripping my leggings off of me, Greyson wrapped his hand around my throat and brushed the scruff of his beard against my cheek.
I cupped his hand, shaking against him.
Gripping my ass, he spread me open, running his thumb over the tight area he had claimed as his weeks ago.
A purr escaped me, my hips pushing into his touch. My body always betrayed me when it came to Greyson’s touch. No matter how rough or gentle he was, I wanted it. I wanted every single side to this man standing behind me.
With a slip of his finger, it slid right into my drenched pussy.
I moaned, my knees trembling beneath me.
He chuckled, brushing his mouth over my ear. I knew that chuckle. It meant, “Always wet for me, Eve. Even when you’re trying to play hard to get, you will always want me.”
He was right. I would. I wanted him to ride my body like he did his bike. Fast and hard. I wanted him to drill me into the ground until there was nothing left.
A whimper escaped me, my dirty thoughts making my body wetter for him.
Grey slipped another finger inside me, stretching me. He pumped once, twice, before removing them completely from between my legs.
I cried out at the loss.
Reaching between us, he pulled his cock free from his jeans.
I shivered, my pussy aching for him.
Just when I thought he was going to fuck me, his fingers rubbed the tight little hole between my ass cheeks. I swallowed hard. No matter how many times he had taken me there, I could never get used to the size of him.
“You’re so damn greedy for me,” he murmured in my ear, his deep voice washing over me. “You want more.”
“Always more,” I panted, holding onto his hand that was still wrapped around my throat.
In a smooth move, he thrust two fingers inside that tight little rim.
I gasped, arching against him.
“So fucking greedy.” His hand picked up speed, pumping hard and fast.
Every nerve ending came alive.
“Tell me I’m yours, Eve.” He kissed my cheek. “Say it again.”
Ah. So that was what this was about. “You are mine,” I told him. “I don’t see you finger fucking anyone else.”
He chuckled, shoving his fingers into me hard. “Those are dirty words for someone who claims to be a good girl, Eve.”
“I am a good girl but, for you, I’ll be the biggest slut you want.”
Greyson growled, hooked his fingers inside of me, and lifted my hips before ramming his cock deep into my pussy.
My feet lifted off the floor, his powerful thighs holding me against him as his thrusts hardened and picked up his pace.
“Holy shit.” I moaned, gasping for breath that I couldn’t get.
Greyson moved his hand from around my neck and cupped my shoulder. All the while fucking me with his cock and fingers. “This cunt is mine. Isn’t it, Eve?”
“Yes,” I whispered.
“Say it.” He squeezed my throat.
“My cunt is yours.” An explosion erupted through me, his name leaving my lips on a hard scream. I pushed back against him, forcing him to fall from my body. Spinning around, I jumped in his arms and grabbed onto his cock. “And this dick is mine.”
(Greyson)
“I’ve never had a woman fight for me before,” I told Eve later that evening.
She rolled onto her back, staring up at me with those beautiful dark eyes of hers. “No? Why not?”
I shrugged. “Can’t say I’ve always been the easiest to get along with. Guess they felt I wasn’t worth the fight.” Those words didn’t sit well with me. The sole reason I had stayed away from a certain person was because she never fought for me.
“You are worth the fight.” Eve sat up, pulling the sheets to her chest, and leaned against the headboard. “What happened to the guys who hurt Penny?”
As if Penny knew she was being talked about, she jumped up onto the bed and laid between us.
“They banged their heads a couple times.” I winked. “But they didn’t hurt her.” Thank fucking God for that. “They got her wet and scared her.” I ran my hand down the length of Penny’s spine. “It was because of Travis.”
“Travis?” Eve frowned. “Why?”
“He wanted to get to me. I don’t know what his
role is in all of this, but something isn’t sitting well with me.” I scratch Penny’s chin, trying to gather my thoughts.
“What do you mean?”
“I think …” Fuck, I didn’t want to say it although I had been thinking it from the moment we found out Eve was pregnant. I pulled the sheet from her hands, exposing her naked body and ran my hand over her lower stomach. “I think he’s the father.”
Eve gasped. “No. He can’t be.”
“Eve,” I said gently. “He showed up here after you appeared out of nowhere. He hasn’t been by in months. We’ve never gotten along because I don’t agree with what he does, but he’s stayed away. Until now. Why? Why after all of this time, has he suddenly appeared? It’s because of you.”
“I … I don’t …” she stuttered, pursing her lips.
“Baby, I don’t blame you.” I ran my thumb back and forth over her lower abdomen. She was going to look absolutely breathtaking when she became big and round. My body stirred, something dark and feral awakening inside of me. Even though the baby wasn’t mine, I couldn’t help but be turned on by the mere fact she was pregnant.
“You like this,” she murmured. “Me being pregnant.”
I nodded slowly. “I don’t know why. Even though it’s not mine, my dick sure thinks it is.”
She smiled softly, cupping my hand resting on her stomach. “Penny hasn’t left my side since we found out, either. It’s like she knows.”
“Animals are smart,” I said, running my thumb back and forth over Eve’s soft skin.
“How do we find out if Travis is the father?”
Asking him wasn’t an option. It would mean I had to let my guard down and show my vulnerability. The fucker preyed on the weak. But I had to give him it. He was good at what he did. He played a hero well and a villain even better.
“I’ll figure it out but for now, I just want you to rest and take care of you and your baby.” It took everything in me not to claim it as mine. Blood didn’t mean shit. My crew was my family and we were far from being blood related.
“I’m scared,” she confessed, squeezing my hand. “If he is the father, it makes me wonder what my life with him was like. Why didn’t he say anything when I met him? Why did he act like he didn’t know me?”
