I started to eat my food as I felt someone staring at me. I looked around and met eyes with Lorenzo's mother. She was talking to another older lady and mugging me. I sighed.
"I need a drink," I announced.
"Now, you're talking my language," my sister said. Lauryn and I both laughed.
"Aren't you 19?" I asked.
"And? I'm grown. I wish I had some to smoke too" she said as my eyes widened. I guess I can't say anything. I was doing that and more when I was her age.
"Oh we got you on that, honey," Maurice said smiling as he and Terry laughed. I watched them as Maurice fed Terry.
"Hmmm," I said which made them both look at me.
"Don't play with me, Nia" Maurice said which made me laugh.
"They are so cute," Naomi said which made me smile.
"Right," I said.
"Lil Nia, watch it, girl," Maurice said as he drew his hand back.
"Don't mind him, he's crazy" Lauryn said laughing as a waitress came up.
"Drinks anyone," she asked.
"Hell yes," Lauryn said as I turned around to look at the waiter. She had a bottle of Hennessy Black, Jack Daniels, Patron XO, and Brandy. I'm guessing Lorenzo told them what we liked.
"Baby, you might as well leave the whole damn tray, we some alcoholics over here and my brothers ain't even at the table yet," Maurice said, making me laugh. She left the tray and I immediately poured me a glass of Patron. My sister grabbed the Hennessy.
"I hope you can hold your liquor," I said laughing.
I poured my glass of Patron and started to sip on it. I watched Naomi as she poured her glass.
"If not she will be fucked and left right there in that seat. I can't help nobody tonight cause I'm getting fucked up myself" Maurice said as he made cheers with the air. We all laughed as I shook my head.
"Please. I can hang. I'm ready to turn up" she said as she sipped on hers. She was drinking hers straight and that Hennessy ain't nothing to play with. Maybe she can handle it.
Lorenzo's POV
Right now CJ and I are both in my truck smoking. I know Nia is probably wondering where the hell I'm at. I'm still kind of salty at her ass from earlier. When I found my watch in her purse, I saw a rubber and a pregnancy test. I don't think she'll cheat on me, but I don't know. She fucked around with CJ and ain't no telling what the fuck else be going on behind my back. She and I never use rubbers. I don't even have any. I used my last one the last time I fucked Morgan and that was a little over 2 months ago. I just don't know, man.

"Yo," I asked into my ringing phone.
"Where you at, OG" Vedo, my lil homie, asked me. He's 20. I haven't seen him in a while. He used to live with his grandma down here, but he moved to Atlanta with his moms. His moms got killed not too long back and now he's back with his grandma. He reminds me of a younger me and CJ combined together. I try to look out for him the best way I can.
"I'm at the Villa with the fam," I said.
"Oh, well I'll fuck with you later," he said.
"Nah, what's good," I asked.
"I just wanted to kick it," he said.
"You know you're welcome wherever I'm at. Come through and get a plate" I said as he quickly hung up.
"Who is that?" CJ asked.
"Vedo," I said. He laughed.
"That lil dude some else. I caught his ass stealing from the West the other day. He was lucky I caught him before they did" CJ said as I shook my head. I try to tell him right and stay on him, but shit he got a hard head.
"I hooked him up with a stack, you know his grandma is sick now," he said. I shook my head. And I know his moms probably strung out somewhere.
"For real," I asked as he handed me the blunt.
"Yeah, life ain't fair, man," CJ said shaking his head.
CJ relates more to Vedo because his moms ain't never been in his life just like Vedo's. CJ was raised by his grandma, then she passed away, and he was back and forth living with me and my family.
I looked at him and he sighed.
"I'm sorry and it'll never happen again," he said. I looked at him and saw the sincerity behind it.
"I know. I love you bruh. And you know that. You got me til the end and can't nobody come between that shit" I said to him honestly as I dapped him up. He laughed.
"You a bitch, man," he said.
"Fuck you, CJ," I said to him as Vedo's grandma's old school blue box Chevy pulled up. CJ laughed.
"Man, on God her shit cleaner than yours," CJ said, making me burst out laughing. We waved at her and she let the window down as Vedo got out.
"How you doing, Ms. James?" CJ said yelling out of the window as he spoke to her. I hit him. Ain't no telling what his crazy ass might say. Vedo got in the back.
"I'm fine, baby," she said as she pressed on the gas. I laughed harder.
"Hey, Lorenzo. Both of y'all still looking good and handsome as ever" she said smiling.
"You too, Ms. James. You look good enough to eat u-" CJ started to say as Vedo slapped his neck. I laughed as she sped off.
"That's my grandma, man," Vedo said as he started to smoke his wood.
"Yo grandma know you can't wait to get out of her car to smoke," CJ asked.
"Fuck you, Cal. My grandma knows how I get down. She might want to hit it herself" he said as he pulled the wood. He handed it to me and I pulled it a few times and handed it to CJ. We continued to smoke it until it was gone.
"Come on y'all, I know everybody is looking for us," I said as we got out.
We walked inside and I found Nia at the table with Lauryn, Naomi, Maurice, and Terry. Maurice's ass walking around switching and shit introducing Terry as his friend. I ain't damn stupid. I know they fucking.
"Who's that," she asked, cutting her eyes at Vedo.
"You know, Vedo," I said to her. I've said his name a few times around her, she just hasn't ever met him.
"Vedo, this my girl, Nia and that's her sister, Naomi. Y'all this is my lil homie, Vedo" I said to Nia and her sister. Everybody else already knows him.
"And I'm Terry, Maurice's.." he trailed off.
"Friend," Maurice said, finishing his sentence. CJ bust out laughing which made me chuckle.
"Wassup y'all" Vedo said speaking to everybody.
"Hey, Vedo" Lauryn said.
"Wassup beautiful" Vedo said smiling at her. CJ punched him in the chest. I laughed.
"Chill out, it doesn't take all that," CJ said rolling his eyes.
Vedo sat in between Nia and Naomi.
"Vedo," he said, extending his hand to Naomi. She smiled.
"I'm Naomi but you can call me Nae," she said smiling at him. He smirked. One thing about Vedo, that lil dude smooth as hell. He can sell anything to anybody and make anything sound good or sensible.
I looked at my food and Nia had everything I liked. I smiled at her as she fixed me a glass of Patron. I kissed her neck.

I choked on my liquor as I sat my glass down. Everybody looked at me. I looked at CJ and he started laughing. He makes me sick.
"Oh I see y'all two finally in love again," Lauryn said referring to me and CJ. I chuckled.
"Who asked you," CJ asked.
"That's my brother. I can never be mad at him for too long" I said honestly.

Right now, as expected, everybody is headed to our house for a movie night. Me, Naomi, Lorenzo, and Vedo rode back in Lorenzo's truck. I sat in the front with Lo and Vedo and Naomi sat in the back.
Lorenzo pulled into our yard and I hopped out. We all walked in as everyone else started to pull up.
"Damn, this is nice," Naomi said.
"On God," Vedo said as he bounced on the couch as CJ, Lauryn, Maurice, and Terry walked in.
"What y'all doing? What happened to the movie" Maurice asked walking in.
"Naomi finding one," I said as we walked to the movie theater room. I sat on the couch by Lo as everyone else sat down and got comfortable, too. Naomi turned the lights out and sat down by Vedo. Lorenzo wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck.
"You smell good," he said as he nibbled on my neck.
"Stooooop" I giggled.
"Why? You know you like that" he said as he stuck his tongue in my ear.
"I'm trying to watch the movie," I said.
"Ain't shit started yet, come with me. Ain't nobody gonna miss us" he said as he rubbed his hands down my thighs.
"Lorenzo" I whined as he continued kissing down my neck which made a light moan slip out. He chuckled.
"Come with daddy," he said, licking his lips. If I go with him, I'm sure somebody will notice we're gone.
"What? You're thinking about it now, huh" he asked cheesing.
"No, stop," I said smiling, popping his hand.
"Fine," he said as he shoved me off him. My mouth flew open.
"I'm just playing, damn," he said as he pulled me into him. I got comfortable on him and started to pay attention to the movie. Within minutes, I started to doze off.
Chapter 25: Chill Day
Nia's POV
December 1st
12:55pm
"Shit" I hissed as I shifted all of my weight to my right leg. I am beyond tired and I am truly about to quit my job at this damn jewelry store. It's just not enough for me and it's not worth it. I'm ready to go home and just relax and have a chill ass day.
"Nia, you can go ahead and leave if you want to. You finished up the cases already" Mrs. Rita said. I nodded and quickly gathered my purse and jacket. She pays me nearly half of what I'm supposed to make. That's why I do short hours now. I'll go in maybe at 6 in the morning and stay till 1.
I headed out of the door quickly and hopped in Lorenzo's truck. I sped off towards the interstate but regretted it as I saw traffic backed up. I went around it and turned off down the back way home. I never really go this way because it's normally nothing but dudes out everywhere. And Lorenzo always says that I shouldn't be on this side of town without him.
I drove through the town area as the gas light came on. I checked the mileage and saw that I only had 30 miles to go. I already know Lorenzo would kill me if I parked it with no gas. I rolled my eyes and quickly turned off at the corner gas station. I pulled at the pump and looked around. Nothing but dudes filled the doorway. I got out and walked to the pump.
"AYE," I heard some dude holler out to me. I ignored him as I pumped my gas.
"AYE GIRL" I heard him say again as he walked towards me. Shit. I started to press the handle harder as if that would make the gas come out faster.
"Hey, how are you doing," he asked me.
"Fine," I said.
"You're beautiful, I'm Decori," he said to me. I put on a fake smile.
"Thanks, but I'm married. I'm sorry" I said as I put the pump back.
"That doesn't mean nothing. I don't see a ring on your finger" he said as he got closer to me.
"AYE, CHOP. Leave her alone, she with me" some dude said walking up. I squinted my eyes and saw that it was Vedo. I exhaled in relief.
"Oh, you doing it like that," the dude asked Vedo.
"Nah, she’s like my sister. This Lo's girl" Vedo said to him. I saw the look on his face change. He mumbled something but quickly backed off.
"Where you headed," Vedo asked me.
"Home," I said.
"Lo there," he asked. I nodded.
"You need a ride," I asked. He nodded.
"Get in," I said as he did. I cranked Lo's truck and sped off.
"I can't believe he let you drive this. He wouldn't let me lay a finger on it" Vedo said laughing as I looked at him. He had on a pullover with holes and sweats. Every time I see him, he looks like he's catching it. And Lorenzo told me that his grandmother is sick. I don't know why Lorenzo won't help him.
"Yeah, my car in the shop, though. You know he had a mini fit after I asked can I drive this one" I said as I ran over the curb. The truck went up and came back down. My mouth flew open and so did Vedo's. He busted out laughing.
"I see why your car is in the shop," he said as I pulled over quickly. It really sounds like I messed something up. Vedo got out with me and Lorenzo's whole right side of his bumper was bent up badly.
"He gone kill you. You don't have to worry about y'all future or anything because he gone really kill you" Vedo said.
"Oh my God. I didn't see it" I whined as we both got in. Lorenzo is really going to kill me. I hope he doesn't notice it because I ain't saying shit till he does.
I quickly sped off and turned into my neighborhood. I pulled into the yard and looked at Vedo. He already had a smirk on his face.
"Please don't.." I started to say.
"I'm no snitch, it ain't none of my business. When he comes outside, he'll see it for himself" he said chuckling.
"You think he'll notice it," I asked. Vedo laughed and we got out. We both looked at it.
"Nah, he won't," he said, lying. I can see it so I know damn well Lorenzo is going to notice it.
We walked inside of the house and Lorenzo and CJ were playing Call of Duty on the PS4. I sat my stuff down and Lorenzo didn't even look my way. He and CJ's eyes were glued to the screen.
"Hey, baby," I said kissing his cheek.
"Wassup," he said, trying to kiss me without even looking at me.
"Wassup G," Vedo said to Lorenzo and CJ. He sat on the couch with them.
"Wassup bald head" CJ said as I slapped his neck. Neither one of their eyes came off the screen yet.
"Shutup," I said as I went into the kitchen.
"How was your day?" Lorenzo yelled asking.
"Boring. I'm really getting tired of that job" I said.
"Well, we both know the answer to that," Lorenzo said. He has been insisting that I quit my job and how he'll just take care of me. I don't like that idea.
"And we both know my answer to that," I said.
"Where's my tux?" Lorenzo asked. I sighed. I forgot about his damn tuxedo. I picked it on my break earlier and left it in the truck.
"It's in the truck, I'll go get it," I said quickly hoping he wouldn't go.
"I got it. We were about to head anyways" Lorenzo said as he paused the game and stood up.
"Y-You need anything," I asked as I quickly got in front of him. He looked at me strangely.
"What do you mean? I'm good. You just got off, I got me" he said as he tried to step around me.
"Oop," I said like Stewie off Family Guy as I blocked his step.
"Oop," I said as he tried to move again and I blocked him. CJ and Vedo laughed. Vedo started whispering to CJ.
"Man get yo ass out of my way" Lorenzo warned.
"You sure. I-I'll go get the tux for you" I said as he looked at me as if I was crazy.
"Why you bugging," Lorenzo asked as I tried to stop him again.
"Move, Nia. What's your problem, man" he asked getting irritated. I sighed. Fuck it. I let him go by as he slowly eyed me. Lorenzo went out of the door.
"He gone fuck you up," CJ said chuckling as he patted my shoulder as Vedo laughed. They walked out and I quickly ran up the stairs into our room. I shut the door.
