The idea of this book came from a situation with a friend’s daughter. I’ve seen how the family struggles to make their child understand her situation is not normal and she deserves better. And she does. Thankfully, she’s starting to stand up for herself now and my hope is that she realizes she is worth more than the second-hand way she’s treated.
This book gave me backtalk. I would write and the characters would just raise an eyebrow as if to say, “Really? You just left it like that?” When I was done, even after two revisions, I knew the book wasn’t right. Thankfully, I have an amazing publisher and editor who gave me extra time to fix it and worked around their schedule to make sure the book wasn’t delayed for months. So big thank you to Limitless Publishing, LLC and Lori Whitwam, best editor ever.
Kay Steele was vital in fixing this book. She read whatever I asked her to and gave me some really constructive feedback that helped me with the character development of Josephine. She wouldn’t be nearly the character she is without Kay. So, thank you doll. :-)
Romance is hard for me to write, even though I love to read it. So, I’m thankful to have one of my best friends, Chazz Willow, in my corner. She pushes me to write the genre and step out of my comfort zone of horror and paranormal. Secretly she does it because she’s a scaredy cat when it comes to reading horror or watching horror movies. She’ll gladly take a romance novel over My Ghost Files series!
My readers have taken to my romance novels too and your support and continued messages, tweets, and emails drive me to bring you more of my crazy romance. I’m glad they’ve touched your hearts or made you laugh on days you needed to. You are all loved and I hope you are all blessed every day.

About the Author
So who am I? Well, I’m the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesn’t love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
Growing up in a small town, I learned a lot of values and morals, I also learned parents have spies everywhere and there’s always someone to tell your mama you were seen kissing a particular boy on a particular day just a little too long. So when you get grounded, what is there left to do? Read! My Aunt Jo gave me my first real romance novel. It was a romance titled “Lord Margrave’s Deception.” I remember it fondly. But I also learned I had a deep and abiding love of mysteries and anything paranormal. As I grew up, I started to write just that and would entertain my friends with stories featuring them as main characters.
Now, I live Huntersville, NC where I entertain my niece and nephew and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce…lol.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.
