Investment In Lust

I rolled my hips into his groin and forced a grunt from his lips.
“No more taking time for granted,” I said as I popped open the buttons of his shirt. “No more saying ‘we’ve got until tomorrow’.”
My hands fell to the belt of his black pants and began fiddling with it.
“Mena, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about one of those properties you showed me a while—.”
I put my finger to his lips to hush his words. Something I never would’ve done at any other point in time given the topic of discussion. I smoothed his shirt over his shoulders and took in the discoloration of his bullet wound. The stitches had fallen out and the entryway was mostly healed, but the bruising was thicker than ever.
I danced my fingertips across it as flashes of his blood on my floor filled the corners of my mind.
“I know the property you’re talking about,” I said. “I saw the way you beamed over dinner that night. I took the liberty of proffering an offer on your behalf.”
“You what?” he asked.
“It took some negotiating on my part, but I got them to come down by almost five hundred thousand dollars.”
“We’re talking about the—.”
“Light gray house with the white shutters that sits in the alcove of that private beach? The one with two stories, a fully-finished basement, and a porch with stairs that fall straight onto the beach? You mean the first one I showed you?”
I grinned at him as I slowly slipped to the floor between his legs as shock rolled over his features.
“All I need is your John Hancock on the bottom of the documents.”
“I should have known there was no way that I’d be able to keep something like that from you,” Liam said.
“Don’t worry. I’m about to teach you a lesson in deceiving me.”
I gingerly opened his pants, being careful of his wounded leg. I reached in and pulled out his aching cock, the tip already dripping with want for me. I shifted myself between his legs and fluttered my eyes up at him, taking in the way he watched me with that brooding blue stare.
Then, I reached up and hit the intercom.
“Drive us around for an hour and take the scenic route. There’s a a bonus for you regarding discretion,” I said.
Good thing the partition was already rolled up.
My thumb to circled the head of his dick, coating it with the sticky residue rising to the top. He tried not to buck his hips. He tried not to put pressure on that aching thigh of his. But I watched him bite down onto his lip as he did it anyway. His efforts were futile. I knew he couldn’t resist me.
And I was unable to resist him as well.
I spent two months running around behind him. Cooking for him and waiting on him, hand and foot. I was happy to do it. Glad, even. I took care of him the way he took care of me after that propane leak. But I missed the fire that had become extinguished by his wounds that needed to heal. I missed the raw and passionate connection we had shared time and time again. I wanted to reignite it again, if only for a second.
If only to remind the two of us our first encounter that changed our lives forever.
I planted one hand on his good leg while the other cupped his growing balls. They grew heavy with want. With a fullness and a need to release. Two months of pent-up frustration. Of sexual appetites tossed to the side in favor of recuperation. I felt them grow in my palm as sighs rolled off Liam’s tongue.
But I wanted more from him.
I wrapped my lips around his cock, giving it a vacuum it needed as I hollowed out my cheeks. I swallowed him all the way to the back of my throat, forcing a moan through his lips. My violet lipstick rippled along his every groove. Covered every inch with the mark of my makeup. I felt him leak down my throat. Fill my stomach with the taste of him I’d been craving for weeks.
I felt him roll into my face, his hands bearing down into the buttery leather of the limousine seats.
I moaned and hummed my appreciation as my eyes fluttered up to look at my masterpiece. Liam, with his eyes screwed shut and his hands pressed into the seat, heaved for air and planted his arms so he could roll his hips into my face. I lapped my tongue underneath his cock. Traced the protruding vein that bulged against my teeth. I bobbed my head, listening as his sounds grew louder. Primal. Fervent as he approached his end.
“Mena. Shit. It’s been… too long. I can’t—.”
I hummed around him one last time before I sucked him all the way back. His hips stuttered, and his legs pulled taut underneath my hands. His cock pulsed against my throat before he exploded, shooting thick thread of cum that had waited too long for their moment. I slid my hands off his body and crawled them over to his. My eyes watched his fingers as he lifted his hands from the seat, allowing our fingers to thread together.
His body went limp against the seat as his cock dropped to my tongue, giving out in the heat of my mouth as I knelt there between his legs.
I swirled my tongue around the head of his cock, watching as he shook. I slid my lips up his girth one last time before releasing him with a deafening pop. I didn’t want to let him go. I didn’t want the encounter to be over. I’d missed my Liam. I had missed the feel of him against me.
I drew his fingers closer between mine as I rested my cheek against his trembling thigh. Then, I heard it. Whispered into the thickened air of the limousine and unable to be returned.
“I love you, Mena.”
I rose my head from his thigh and met his gaze. Liam looked down upon me, his hand moving from mine so he could cup my cheek. He crooked his finger underneath my chin and guided me to him, rising me from my knees with only the faintest pressure.
He beckoned me all the way to his lips as my body fell against his.
“I’ll sign the documents under one condition,” Liam said.
“Why in the world does that not shock me at all?” I asked breathlessly.
“There’s something that property requires in order to make it a home.”
“Name your price,” I said as I looked up from his chest.
“You.”
My mind halted and my heart thundered in my chest. My eyes danced between his, watching the way he patiently waited for my answer. There it was. Liam, in all his vulnerability, laying every card he had on the table and waiting for my critique. I looked down at our two hands that were still threaded together and started tracing circles upon his skin.
Climbing to the top had been a singular endeavor.
But maybe staying at the top didn’t have to be.
“Okay,” I said.
I lifted my gaze back to his as a smile trickled across my cheeks.
“Okay?” Liam asked.
“You named your price, and I approved of it.”
“You know you just agreed to move in with me, right?”
“I don’t see any other person it makes sense to move in with. You’re funny. You’re smart. You’re a hell of a man in the sack.”
“And…?” he asked.
“And I love you, Liam Walsh.”
I didn’t get the documents out of my bag good enough before he signed on the dotted lines. I pressed down onto the intercom and told the driver to take a detour as I seated myself next to Liam again. His hand reached out for my knee, cupping it and massaging it as the driver turned around. I looked over at him and smiled, gazing into the bright, beautiful eyes of the man that had somehow crumbled every wall and tossed out every rule I had in my book.
“Ready to go see our new home?” I asked.
We drove over to the property and wound down the driveway. The limousine parked itself at our new place and I reached for the key in my bag. I dangled it in front of Liam, watching as I dropped it into the palm of his hand.
“This the only set?” he asked.
“We can have another one made.”
Before I knew it, we were standing at the double-door threshold of our new private beach home. And somehow, Liam found the strength through his pain to scoop me
into his arms and carry me up the steps. The winding staircase dumped into a long hallway that dead ended into the master suite, and as I reached for the handle of the door and threw it open, the smell of the ocean wafted underneath my nose.
“Our bedroom has a view of the water,” he said.
“I’m pretty sure that was one of your many requirements.”
He settled me down onto my feet before I walked over and threw open the French doors. The ocean breeze flooded the room as a pair of hands threaded around my waist. Liam pressed a kiss to the top of my head as my hands fell against his, tracing the lines of the veins in his hand with my fingertips. We stood there, silent in our endeavor, and envisioned a life we would lead. The future was ours to determine, and the fresh start was a welcomed change after the whirlwind that threatened to swallow Liam and I.
“I should probably tell you that I booked us two first-class tickets to go see my parents next month.”
I slowly craned my neck back and furrowed my brow in confusion.
“Yes. That’s probably something you should mention,” I said.
But a smile crept across my cheeks when I turned to look back out at the ocean.
“Meeting the parents, huh?” I asked.
“That’s usually what people do when they love one another.”
“Well, we’ve never been ‘usual’.”
“Doesn’t mean my mother isn’t asking about you already.”
“So, you’ve been talking to her about me,” I said.
“It’s the only way I kept her from flying in after I was injured. I told her I was already in the greatest hands Boston had to offer.”
I leaned into his body, resting my head against his chest. I felt the steadiness and strength of his heartbeat as I closed my eyes. I felt his arms tighten around me as the waves crashed against the private shoreline. And I felt something else. Something I hadn’t felt since the day I left for college.
Peace.
In the arms of the man I loved, I felt peace.
“I love you,” I said.
Liam’s hand came up and cupped my chin, tilting my head back as his face loomed over mine.
“I love you, too, Philomena.”
Nope. Staying at the top didn’t have to be lonely at all.
