More Than A Game (The Kings of Kroydon Hills Book 2) Page 7

by Bella Matthews

“And what do you want to do?”

She doesn’t answer me. I think she wants to, but years of being the good girl is making it hard.

Stepping in closer to her body, I move my hands to her face and force her eyes to mine. “Sabrina, how much have you had to drink tonight?” Her answer is going to make or break my night.

“Not as much as Chloe and Nat. I don’t like to be out of control. Being drunk isn’t my thing.”

Nodding, I agree with her. “Being drunk isn’t sexy. Consent is sexy.” My thumb caresses her cheek bone, and her face leans into my palm.

  Decision made. “Kiss me?”

I frame it as a question and wait for her response, even though every fiber of my soul wants to taste Sabrina’s lips.

She immediately leans up on her tiptoes and grabs my arms for balance. The second her lips touch mine, I take control, crushing my mouth to hers. Sabrina lets out a soft moan. She tastes like tequila and smells like a warm cinnamon sugar cookie. Sweet and spicy. The perfect combination for my girl.

Our tongues tangle as she holds my arms and presses herself against me. Eventually, my hands travel to her hips, and I pick her up.

Brina’s long legs wrap around my waist, and she grinds down on my cock.

There’s too many clothes in my way.

God, I want my fucking girl.

In the distance, I hear leaves crunching and realize someone is heading toward us. Chloe’s voice breaks into my head, “Hey, Murph? You back here?”

Shit. “Sounds like we’ve got company, Princess.”

“Yeah. You better . . . uh . . . You better put me down.” I don’t take orders well if I’m not on the football field, so I keep her right where I have her.

She pushes back a little, but not with any oomph behind it, then buries her face in my neck, hiding. At least I think she’s hiding, until I feel her tongue lick its way up to my ear and bite.

  This little minx.

“Murphy,” she whispers just as Chloe finds us.

“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” Chloe practically sings the words. It’s as if she just read the juiciest story to ever hit a gossip magazine. “Fuck. Bash won the damn bet.”

  What the hell?

This time, when Sabrina pushes me to let her down, I can tell she means it. I lower her legs to the ground, then angle myself slightly behind her so my ragingly hard dick is not on full display for the girl I used to let use my GI Joes to marry her Barbies. “What the hell are you talking about, Chloe?” My voice may have come out a bit harsher than I intended, but I had other ideas for right fucking now. “What fucking bet?”

Chloe laughs hard and loud. “Cool your jets there, lover boy. I was looking for Sabrina. The party is getting lame, and I’m heading back to your house to crash in Natalie’s room. You guys should seriously just call it the guest room. Brady is never going to let her sleep in there. Anyhoo . . . I wanted to see what Brina’s plan was?”

“Oh.” Sabrina turns her head to look at me. Her eyes are enormous, like she just got caught cheating on a test. Then she looks back to Chloe. “I’ll head back with you. I walked to the house, so I’ll just head back to campus now.”

“Like hell you will.” I grab Sabrina’s hand. “You’re not walking back to your dorm alone.”

Sabrina pulls her hand away from me. She’s gone from purring kitten to pissed-off cat in an instant. Thanks, Chloe. “Really, Aiden? This again?”

Chloe laughs. “Okay, I’m going to leave you two to figure this out. Murphy, she’s all yours. Brina, I’ll call you tomorrow. Bye, guys.” Chloe wiggles her fingers.

Taking a step forward, I call out, “Chloe, wait. You’re not walking home alone either.”

Chloe spins around and starts walking backward so she can see us. “Who says I’m alone?”

Jesus Christ. She’s trying to kill me. This, right here, is why Carys can’t come to these parties. “Is Brady okay with this?”

Never missing a beat, Chloe answers, “Guess so. I already told him we were leaving.”

  “Be smart,” Sabrina yells.

Chloe smiles and turns to leave before calling over her shoulder, “I always am.”

Turning back to Sabrina, I tuck a lock of hair behind her ear. “Come on, Princess. I’ll walk you back to your dorm.”

  Sabrina

Things I’m sure of right now:

  It’s Saturday night.

I’ve been drinking since about four this afternoon.

  I’m tipsy, but not drunk.

Aiden Murphy is walking me back to my dorm, and I’m pretty damn sure the kiss we just shared was hotter than any sexual experience I’ve ever had . . . in my life.

What does that say about me?

It says I’m out of my fucking mind.

It also says Aiden Murphy is so far out of my league that I should back away quickly and quietly. But being around this giant of a man clears away the stress in my head the way nothing has before.

  He stops the noise.

Murphy navigates the halls of my dorm like a pro. A few people high five him, commenting on the Crusaders’ win. The security guard at the desk tells him “good game.” I’ve just unlocked my door when Tessa and a few of her jersey-chaser friends come out of their room.

  Oh. Shit.

As I get the door open, I hear, “Oh, you’ve got to be fucking kidding me. You’re fucking Miss Goody Two Shoes now? What the hell, Murphy. Way to move on. I guess our baby meant nothing to you?” Tessa has worked herself up to full-on shrieking.

The few students left in their rooms at this point on a Saturday night crack open their doors to see what’s going on. Guess this is better than reality TV.

Murphy’s shoulders stiffen as he turns to the shrieking lunatic. “What the fuck, Tessa? We were never together, and there was never a baby to begin with. How could a false pregnancy mean anything?” His fingers find my wrist as he pulls me behind him. “Go find another jock to chase. We never started to even be over.”

Tessa walks up to Murphy and slaps him across the face . . . hard, leaving a red handprint in her wake.

I hate girls like her. They get off on drama, humiliation, and hurting someone else. I refuse to let her do that to Murphy.

  Screw that.

Stepping around him, I get in her face. “Get the hell away from him, you crazy bitch.”

Moving forward, I shove Murphy into my dorm room, then spin around to look at Tessa and, more importantly, her friends. Skewering them with an aristocratic glare I learned from my mother I say, “Make sure she gets her shit together. Everyone here just saw what happened, and it would have been caught on tape by the cameras at either end of the hall. If Murphy wanted to, he could bring this in front of the school’s disciplinary board. Unless you want your friend to be kicked out of school, or known as a crazy bitch, you’d better put a leash on her.”

I turn to glare at the gawkers peeking out of their doors. “Have you seen enough, or do I need to give you all a play-by-play of what’s about to happen?” Doors shutting is the only sound I hear besides my breathing.

As I step into my dorm room, I hear applause behind me and know I’m not the only one in my building that already has those four pegged for the athlete addicts they are. I slam my door closed behind me, lock it, and look at Murphy’s big form sitting on my bed. Bending down, I grab one of the instant cold packs from the first aid kit under my bed. Squeezing to activate it, I place it on Murphy’s face. “Hold this here for a minute. I’ve got water and Snapple in my fridge. You want some?”

Holding the ice pack to his face, Murphy just stares at me before finally shaking his head. “No, I’m good.”

I grab myself a Snapple and reach for the pretzels on top of my mini-fridge and hold them out to Murph.

  He shakes his head again.

“You want to watch a movie?” I kick off my booties and drop down into my papasan chair.

Murphy thinks about it before sh
aking his head a third time.

“Come on, Murph. You’re never this quiet.” I take a page out of his book and throw a pretzel at his head. Those guys are always throwing something at someone. “Are you ok? Don’t listen to anything that crazy girl said. She’s not right in the head.”

“I’m tired, Sabrina. My whole body hurts. Thanks for the ice pack, but my face is about the only part of my body that doesn’t hurt. I just want to lie down. I’m thinking lying here with you would be really nice, but I’m trying to figure out if I’d even fit in this small-ass bed of yours.” Murphy’s lips pull up on one side into a sexy grin, and my nipples perk up.

I freaking love that lopsided grin.

“I guess you should probably go home to what I’m assuming is a massive bed,” I force myself to say the words but hope he doesn’t leave.

“It’s a king. When I get my first place, I’m buying one of those California king beds just so I can have extra room.”

Rolling up the empty bag of pretzels, I get up to toss it into the trash can, then turn to face Murphy. “I’m thinking you’re not going to be able to spread out on my little twin bed.”

There he goes, shaking his damn head again. “Nope. But my bed at home doesn’t have what this bed has. Can I stay here, Brina?” Those green eyes finally meet mine. “I just want to sleep, and I really don’t want to be alone.”

Pretty sure a little piece of my heart just gave itself to him. My insides warm and jump at the idea of sharing a bed with Murphy in any way. Then my brain catches up, and I realize he said he didn’t want to be alone, not that he wanted to be with me. Fuck. Is that man speak? Does he just want a warm body? Does it matter if it’s me? Am I overanalyzing this?

As if Aiden Murphy can read my mind, he reaches out and grabs my hips, pulling me toward him. He lowers his head to lean on my sternum, so I place my bottle down on the desk and run my fingers through his reddish-brown hair. Murphy groans out his approval.

I massage his head for a minute before lifting his face to mine. “Let me get changed and turn off the light.”

Murphy nods his head. What the hell is with him and this quiet nodding thing?

I’ve never seen Aiden Murphy quiet in all the years I’ve known him.

Walking to my dresser, I grab a pair of cotton pink plaid shorts and a white tank top with a tiny sparkly tiara on it. The word “Princess” is embroidered in pink under the tiara. Let’s see what he says when he sees this.

Luckily, all the singles in this building have their own bathroom. If you don’t have a single, you have two bedrooms connected by a lounge area and a bathroom. I’d much rather have the smaller single.

I change quickly, brush my hair and teeth, and walk back into my room just as Murphy is kicking off his jeans. He’s already gotten rid of his t-shirt, and I may have to wipe the drool from my floor. Just a little . . . or maybe a whole lot.

Holy Mary, mother of God, Aiden Murphy’s body is magnificent.

Even the nuns at my old school would have to admit their starched white panties got wet at this sight. Every muscle on his body looks like it’s been carved out of stone. My fingers itch to touch his skin.

Murphy’s always been swoony. He’s funny and can be sweet when he wants. He’s protective and loyal. That all just makes this insanely yummy package in front of me even yummier, and I’m not ashamed to admit I want to lick all of those muscles from head to toe.

Unfortunately for Murphy, most of those muscles are already turning nasty shades of purple from the game.

“Jesus, Murphy. Does your body always take such a beating?”

Once I’m standing in front of him, my eyes trace up his powerful arms and down his defined abs, stopping at the elastic band of his navy-blue boxer briefs doing a lousy job of hiding his erection. Stepping next to the bed, I throw back the dark violet comforter and violet and green, plaid sheet. I turn my head to him. “You want to be against the wall or on the outside?”

He walks over to the switch on the wall by the door and turns off the light, leaving only the faintest flicker from the streetlight outside floating in through my window. “You get in first, Princess.”

Doing as I’m told, I crawl into bed and wait for Murphy to figure out how he’ll situate himself. Lying on his back, he puts his arm around me and pulls until I’m flush with his side. I turn into him and rest my head on his shoulder as his arm curls around me. Murphy exhales a deep breath. “Nice pajamas, by the way. I always knew it.”

I smile and I swear he relaxes.

“Murph?” I ask him, barely above a whisper.

“Yeah, Princess?” His voice has turned deep and gravelly.

“I might have thought of you when I saw these pj’s.”

I feel him swallow, then say, “Pretty sure I think about you all the time lately.” He kisses the top of my head gently. “Go to sleep, Princess.”

I feel his hold on me loosen, and his breathing even out within seconds. I never thought the first time I had a guy in my bed all night, it would be to actually sleep.

As I drift off to sleep, I wonder if I’m already dreaming.

  Murphy

I open my eyes and smell cookies. What are those little fuckers called? My sister always makes them at Christmas. Snicker somethings. Snicker diddles?

That sounds like a dirty fuck.

I inhale deeply and relax in the smallest fucking bed I’ve ever slept in, curling my arm tighter around Sabrina. She has her head resting on the spot between my shoulder and my pec. Her arm is thrown over my bare chest, and her mile-long legs are tangled up with mine. Surprisingly, this position is more than comfortable. It feels fucking fantastic.

The feel of her lying against me . . .

  Her skin on mine . . .

The feel of her in my arms . . .

It all feels like something I could get addicted to.

I need to get up and stretch out. I’m fucking starving and need some caffeine. I could probably use an ice bath, and I need to watch tapes today before heading to the Kings home game tonight. First things first, I need to wake Sleeping Beauty up. I’d like to do it with my head between her legs, but I should probably make sure she’s awake the first time I feast on her pussy.

I settle for lightly running my fingertips up and down her spine, feeling the ridges under her ribbed tank. This has the opposite effect of what I wanted. Sabrina, still sleeping soundly, practically climbs on top of me. Her upper body is now plastered to my chest. If she moves just an inch to her left with her hips, there’ll be no hiding the effect she has on me.

My cock is already so hard I have to adjust myself to make sure it stays in my boxer briefs and doesn’t make a surprise appearance above my waistband.

I move my hand to continue rubbing her spine but now under her tiny white tank. Looking down, I can see the outline of her nipples pressing against the fabric and wonder if they’re pale pink or darker red like her lips.

My meat hook of a hand spans her entire back.

On my next pass down her spine, I dip my hand under her little plaid shorts. Not exploring, just barely venturing under the elastic. Sabrina has those two dimples above her ass I love on a woman. My mouth waters just thinking about licking them.

Burying my head in her hair, I inhale deeply, and she lets out a small moan as she tries to get closer to me. She’s radiating heat.

  Fuck this.

Gently, I roll her until she’s on her back, and I’m on my side looking down. Leaving my hand on her hip and under her tank, I take in the site in front of me. Her brown hair is mussed, her features look soft and relaxed. Those long, black lashes are fanning the creamy skin on her face. Her breasts are high and tight under the glittery silver tiara on her white tank, and those nipples are poking against the fabric, making my mouth water. Her toned abs lead to perfectly flared hips that my hands look good gripping. I love seeing the defined muscles in her arms and thighs and knowing she isn’t afraid of hard work.

; Knowing she earned her muscles is a turn-on by itself.

My hands are running up and down her sides as I lean down and kiss that spot between her shoulder and neck, then lick my way up to her ear. Nipping gently, I hear the sweet sigh of a sexy woman, and I want nothing more than to sink into her heat.

“Mmmmm, Aiden. What are you doing?” Sabrina practically moans.

Pulling back, I look down at this sexy creature in my arms and wish we were in my bed with space to move.

Space to worship her body the way it deserves.

“I’m saying thank you for sharing your bed with me, Princess.” Lazily covering her lips with mine, I move one hand under her tank and cup her breast.

Sabrina moves her legs, encouraging me to get closer as her hands grab my sides and travel up my back to grip my hair.

Pushing her tank up, I get my first look at her bare skin, and I’m in awe. Her nipples are the prettiest shade of pink, and they’re just begging to be sucked. Dropping my head, I run my tongue around her breasts, first one and then the other, sucking her nipples into my mouth before gently biting and eliciting that hum again.

My new goal in life is to be the reason Sabrina Cabot makes that goddamn noise.

I feel like we’re playing a crazy game of twister on this bed. It was definitely not made for a six-two linebacker. Moving my hand down her body, I play with the waistband of her shorts, waiting to see if she’s going to stop me. I don’t want to do anything she isn’t comfortable with. I know I don’t want to fuck Sabrina for the first time in this tiny-ass bed, but I want to get her off more than my I want my next breath.

As my callused hand slowly begins its descent to the promised land, she lets her legs fall open, giving me more room and the go-ahead in one move.

Licking my way back up her soft skin. I kiss her lips again with more urgency. Her pussy is so fucking smooth. “God, Princess, you’re soaking wet for me.” Circling her clit with my middle finger, I dip it into her pussy and drag her juices back up as I continue to work her clit.
