I feel his body tighten and he thrusts into me a few more time before he comes inside of me. Collapsing on the bed, I try to catch my breath but having his body weight on top of me makes it hard to breathe. His is seriously all muscle and as much as I don’t mind having his sexy as fuck body on mine, I need to get out of here.
I was already having weird flash backs that I haven’t had in years and whatever it is about him is making it worse. I don’t want to think about Flynn and knowing that it was my fault that shit ended the way it did.
I push him off of me and grab my clothing off the floor and quickly pull it all back on with the exception of my panties. When I’m done, I see him watching me from the bed.
“Why you in a hurry?” His voice is raspy and as much as it calls to me, I need to get out of here.
“My girls are waiting for me.” I say quickly.
He goes to get up, but I stop him. “I’ll be fine. Thanks for the great sex.” I wink at him before I make my way to the door and practically run down the street.
The further I get away from him, the better I feel. I don’t get what is going on with me, but I don’t have the time to figure it out either.
Making the three block walk in heels, I finally get to the bar where my bike is and I check my phone. I see Monroe’s name on the screen and when I click the message I see a picture of her and some hot biker.
Me: Damn Mon. Please tell me you’re hitting that sexy man tonight.
Monroe: Fuck yeah! Before you ask, yes his dick is big.
Me: Get it girl. Call me if you need anything.
Monroe: Where the hell did you disappear to?
Me: Caught me a biker and fucked him. Just got back to the bar.
Monroe: I’ll see you later. ;)
I put my phone back in my pocket and make my way to the bathroom to clean up a bit before I go and grab a drink.
Once I get everything situated, I make my way out into the crowded bar and scan the room for any of the girls. When I see a few of them, I walk over to see if they want anything to drink before making my way to the bar.
While I’m waiting for my drink, I see the man in leather from earlier coming towards me. As soon as he reaches me, he pulls me into his arms and I almost have to deck the poor bastard. “About time you came back sweetheart.” He says trying to kiss me.
I feel someone come up behind me and before I can punch this asshole in the nose, his eyes widen at whoever is behind me.
“If you want to keep your dick where it is, I suggest you let my girl go.” When I turn around to look at him, I see the anger in his expression. Turning my attention back to the man in leather, I watch as he practically runs from my supposedly one night stand. Turning back to face him, I put my hand on my hip and wait for him to explain.
“You shouldn’t be –” I cut him off before he can continue his little speech.
“It was a one night stand. I don’t need you to be my knight in shining armor. Trust me, I can protect myself.” I grab my drink off the bar and make my way towards my friends. Before I can make it there, he grabs my hand and pulls me into the hallway and shoves me through the bathroom door, locking the door behind us.
Shit. What the hell does this guy want from me?
When I turn to face him, I can see the anger in his features. I still have no fucking clue where I’ve met him before and it’s bugging the shit out of me.
“I’m not your girl.” I growl when he doesn’t say anything. I have a feeling that this might end badly. Lucky for me, I’ve been fighting with the guys from the Black Jackals for years. Sure they taught me everything I know, but I’ve put a few of them in their places before when they got to handsy with me.
When he goes to put his hand on my neck, I lift my leg and put my heel into his knee causing him to practically fall onto me. I drop my drink and the glass shatters on the concrete ground.
“Fuck Milly.” He grits out.
Backing away from him, I stare at him for a second and try to figure out how he knows my real name. No one knows me here by the name and there are only a few people that would even come looking for me anymore.
“You don’t remember me do you?” He grunts out.
“No, who the fuck are you?” I growl. It takes him a few minutes, but when he finally stands back at his full height I know exactly who it is.
“What are you doing here Flynn?” I ask shocked. I haven’t seen him since I was seventeen and I ran away from home.
“I was looking for my girl.” He says like it’s no big deal.
“Then why are you here? Did you fuck me just to move on or what?” I force out. The words burned as they roll off my tongue and I’m instantly jealous that someone else is calling him hers.
He was my everything for so long and to know that he is the one standing in front of me makes me want to climb him like a tree. He is no longer the boy who protected me, and kept me safe. He is now a man, and the years have definitely been good to him. He looks nothing like I remember. His body is wider, his face is covered by a beard, and his hair is shaggier than I remember.
“Because I’ve finally found her.” His voice drops down an octave and he closes the distance between us.
He reaches his hand towards my face and I feel the spark that we had before when his finger touches my skin. I should have known. He is the only one to ever make me feel anything.
“Flynn.” I whisper. “What do you want with me?” I choke out.
“I want my fucking girl back. You left me once and I sure as fuck ain’t letting you run away again. I’ve been looking for four years for you. I should have known that you would go home.” He shakes his head and his other hand lands on my hip and I can’t help but go to him.
“Why?” I ask looking up into his eyes.
“Because when you left four years ago, you took half of me with you.” I feel my eyes start to burn with tears and I try like hell to keep them from falling. I don’t want him to know that he’s affecting me with his words.
I wish I never left, but I had no choice. If I would have stayed, who knows what would have happened to me.
“You didn’t stop me.” I finally say. Staring into his eyes, I can see the hurt that I caused and I know I made a mistake back then, but I had to do what was right for me. I had to save myself.
“If I would have known you were leaving I would have come with you. I would have fucking stopped you.” He growls. “You didn’t only break my heart; you broke your mother’s heart too. She was a mess after you left and she never recovered from it.”
Closing my eyes, I feel the tears roll down my cheeks. Knowing that I broke her heart pains me. I thought I was doing the right thing.
His hand wraps around the back of my neck and he pulls me to him.
Three
Why did he have to come and find me? Why did he have to bring up memories of the past that I’ve tried like hell to forget?
“Milly?” His voice is low and his grip on my never loosens.
When I look up at him, I see the sad smile on his face. “I’m so fucking glad I found you.” He leans down and kisses my lips and I can’t help but melt into his arms. Earlier I knew I had met him before, but I never in my life imagined him to grow up to look like this.
“What happened to your red hair?” He asks, tugging on the ends of my dark brown hair.
“I reinvented myself so no one could find me. I guess it didn’t work all that well after all.” I say with a small smile.
“Naw, I would have known it was you from a mile away.” He grins.
Pulling out of his embrace, I look at him. “How did you find me?” The question is the only thing that I can’t figure out the answer to.
“I made a few friends during my search and I came across a picture of your motorcycle club that you’re part of. When I heard that you girls would be making the trip here, I came out this way.”
I watch him for a second and it looks like he’s telling the truth. “Who had the picture?” I ask
.
“Some guy named Sting. He’s part of the Black Hills MC I think.” I feel my heart sink into my stomach. I thought that they were all dead. That’s what Maverick and Kane told us.
“When did you meet Sting?” I question. I can hear the worry in my voice and I know that he will too.
“Couple of weeks ago, why?” He asks. He looks worried and I grab my phone out of my pocket and dial Shay’s number.
“Hey baby cakes.” She answers.
“Where’s Mav?” I rush out. Flynn gives me a dirty look and I hear Shay tell him that I need to talk to him.
“Hey Willow, what’s up?” He asks when he gets on the phone.
“Mav, you said that they were all dead. You promised that it was over with the Black Hills bastards.” I can feel myself pale and I think I’m going to have a panic attack.
“Will, they are. I was there. I made sure of it.” All I can do is shake my head. I can’t even get the words out. Is Flynn involved in whatever this is?
“What’s going on?” He barks out.
“Meet me somewhere.” I finally say. Flynn grabs my arm and forces me to look at him.
“What’s going on?” He mouths to me.
“Halfway point.” Mav says before he hangs up.
Pocketing my phone, I look him in the eyes and ask him the question that may or may not get him killed. “Are you part of the Black Hills?”
His eyes widen and he looks hurt that I would even have to ask. It’s been years since I saw him last and I have no idea if he would do that or not.
“Milly, you know I would never put you in harm’s way. Who is Sting?” He looks pissed and when I open my mouth to answer him, I almost freeze.
“What was the last thing I said to you?” I ask.
He looks unsure at first, but then he gives me the answer I was looking for. “The night before you left, you told me that this moment was the one thing that you never wanted to forget. You told me that you would spend your whole life remembering it because it was the one time that you’ve been truly happy, that I made you that happy.”
“The whole Black Hills MC is supposed to be dead. Maverick was there when they were all killed.” I say. “We have to go meet him. You have to tell him what you know about Sting. Please. They might come after my Prez if you don’t. I won’t let anything else happen to my sisters.” I practically beg him.
He wipes the tears from under my eyes and he grabs my hand and leads me to his bike. “Where are we headed?” He asks as he straddles his bike.
“The halfway point between Las Vegas and Henderson. There is an old motel around that area that we meet at when we need a safe location.
He nods his head and I hop on behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. We take off into the night and all I can think about is the possible threat that is looming over us and the Black Jackals.
When we pull up, I don’t see Mav anywhere. We get off the bike and I make my way to the front steps of the abandoned motel. Sitting down, I think about losing another person that’s close to us. I don’t think I could handle that again.
Watching Livie for the last few months has been hard enough and if we have another attack, I don’t know if we can rally around it.
Flynn takes a seat next to me and I rest my head on his shoulder until I hear the roar of Maverick’s bike. When I see Shay on the back, I know that she probably wouldn’t take no for an answer. She always wants to know what’s going on so she can protect us.
I can see Maverick eyeing Flynn and as much as I want to tell him to stop, I can’t. I want to believe him, but until I hear the story from him, I don’t know if he’s telling the truth or not.
“Who’s this Willow?” Maverick asks when he walks over to us.
“Flynn, this is Maverick, President of the Black Jackals. Mav, this is Flynn, my high school sweetheart before I ran away.” I see Shay’s eyes widen and then she gives me a look that makes me regret telling her the story one night while we were drunk.
“Willow? Flynn asks.
“I changed my name when I moved to Vegas. I didn’t want someone to find me.” I state. He gives me a look, but I don’t answer his question. He wants to know why I didn’t want him to find me. That’s not something I’m ready to talk to him about.
“So why are we here Will?” Maverick finally asks after a few minutes of silence.
I look between Flynn and Maverick and take a deep breath. “Flynn said that he found me because he met a guy named Sting from the Black Hills MC. He had a picture of Phoenix Heart.” I see Shay’s eye widen and she looks at Maverick.
Maverick has an expression on his face that I can’t decipher, but my guess would be that it’s not a good look.
“You sure his name is Sting?” Maverick asks.
“Yeah, I might have a picture of him on my phone. A few of the club whores took my phone and took some pictures with it.” He grabs his phone out and starts to look for the photos. When he finds it, he hands it to Maverick and he snaps it in half.
“What the fuck?” Flynn yells.
“I can’t risk my club or my ole’ ladies club. Sorry man. Those bitches could have done anything to it to give the Black Hills a way to track you if they knew you were looking for Willow.” He drops it on the ground and stomps on it with his boot to make sure the phone is broken.
“Why would they be after her?” Flynn asks pulling me to him.
“Because they killed our last president and tried to kill me and my ole’ lady. They will do anything to get to us after we wiped them all out.”
“If you wiped them out then why is this Sting guy still alive?” Flynn asks.
“Don’t know. But I will get to the bottom of this. I don’t trust you, but if anything happens because of you, I won’t think twice about putting a bullet in your head. Willow is family and I protect my family.” Maverick growls.
“I wouldn’t hurt her.” Flynn spits. “If anyone hurts her it would be you and your fucking wars with this other fucking club.”
Maverick laughs, “Says the fucking guy that’s been hanging out with one of the most ruthless ones.”
Maverick stares at him for a while and I can see Flynn looking uncomfortable with it. “Why are you staring at me?” Flynn finally asks.
“Trying to remember if I’ve seen you before at the Black Hills clubhouse.” Maverick answers. He wraps his arm around Shay and he whispers something in her ear. She nods her head and pulls her phone out and starts to type away.
“When was the last time you seen him?” Maverick asks.
“Couple weeks ago in Henderson. He said that all the clubs come out for some fun and that Milly and her club would be here too, so I stuck around to see if I could find her.” Flynn responds.
“We need to check your bike for trackers too.” Maverick says. He must know something I don’t know. Why would he know that they track bikes? And why did he say that he was trying to remember if he’s seen him at the Black Hills.
“Why?” I ask. I need to know why Maverick knows so much about the Black Hills. They never gave us much information on Maverick when he got here and he was voted in as president after Hunter died.
“I was undercover for the Black Jackals in the Black Hills club. Very few know and that’s why I was shot and tortured. You can’t tell anyone Will.” Maverick says on a sigh. “I know how they operate because I was part of their club for ten years. I was the one who told Hunter what their plan was for Shay. I’m the one who told them how to get them all when they least expected it.”
Maverick walks over to Flynn’s bike and Flynn doesn’t even bother to stop him. He walks over to him and starts to help him look.
When Maverick pulls a little black box from the bike, he drops it on the ground and crushes it with his boot.
“Let’s get out of here. It isn’t safe. I have a prepay at the clubhouse if you need it.” He says to Flynn. “I need to put my guys on alert and bring all the girls and families in for lockdown.”
I h
ear Shay whine about lockdown and Maverick tells her “no stunts this time”.
We get on Flynn’s bike and I ask about mine. “My bike is still at the bar. I need to go get it.”
Maverick doesn’t say anything at first. “Fine, go get it and meet back at the club house. Watch your back and Flynn, if she doesn’t come back, I’ll come after you.” He threatens.
“I’d never hurt her. Way back when, she was the only thing I could see. Still is.” He looks down at me and winks.
I hear Shay say, “Awe, that’s so sweet. Why don’t you say anything sweet like that to me?” I hear Maverick grumble and then he smacks Shay’s ass. “I give you my cock. That’s sweet enough.”
Laughing, I wrap my arms around Flynn and he starts his bike and we take off towards the bar.
Four
When we pull up to the bar, I point out my bike and scan the area for any other bikes that belong to my sisters. I don’t see any, so I get off his bike and walk over to mine. Before I can get too far away, Flynn grabs my hand and pulls me back to him. He places a soft kiss on my lips before pulling away.
“When we get to their clubhouse, we need to talk.” His voice sounds kind of strained, but I can’t tell if it has to do with the threat or because of the past.
“About?” I ask, hoping that he will give me some information before I take him to the Black Jackals clubhouse.
“About us. I need answers Mill.” He looks resigned and tired, so I agree and he releases his grip on me completely.
“I’ll tell you everything you want to know when we get there.” I say shakily. I don’t know if he really wants to know why I left, but I’ll tell him the truth if he asks.
He nods his head and I straddle my bike and start the engine. I know we have a lot to talk about and so getting home isn’t really something I’m looking forward to, but right now it the only option I have. Taking off, I don’t even wait for him to follow me. The wind in my hair is the only way I feel free and I won’t give that up for anything, even him.
During the twenty-five minute ride, I think about all the memories and nights Flynn and I spent together as teenagers. He was my first love and my first everything.
