Declyn (The Wolves Den Book 3) Page 16

by Serena Simpson

They walked into Coles back yard, and she met Declyn’s frown. She placed a hand on a hip and smiled at him until he couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head.

“You’re going to be a handful.”

She walked up to him and kissed him before whispering in his ear. “That’s part of the reason you love me. When you combine that with my killer curves and the fact that I give the best head. How could you resist?”

He subtly adjusted himself. “Wait till I get you home.”

She moaned in his ear before licking the shell of it.

“You’re distracting me, I came here for a reason.”

He pulled her close rubbing his erection against her. “I’m distracting you?”

Her eyes lit up as she gave him a sultry laugh that had him wanting to drag her back home.

“Be good,” she demanded with a smile.

  “Yes, Alpia.”

Damn, that look, those words, they were guaranteed to get him laid every time.

“I’m concerned about Minx, but it's more than that. I need everyone to understand that I am as much Alpha as you are.”

She dragged him away from thoughts of sex with her words.

“What do you want to do?”

“I want to talk to them using my Alpha voice. Do I have an Alpha voice?”

“The only way to find that out is to use it.”

  “How do I find it?”

“It’s there, or it isn’t. I can amplify your power, but I can’t give you an Alpha voice.”

She nodded. A boost would be helpful since she was still new at this. He took her hand and pulled her close. Now it was all up to her.

With a deep sigh, she did the whole look inside yourself and found nothing, but she did hear the voices in her head snickering at her. Well, that was a failure, maybe she didn’t have an Alpha voice. Opening her eyes, she looked around to find herself surrounded by Kur’iks she knew and those she didn’t know.

This wasn’t for her. There was no desire to show off or prove that she was better than the person standing next to her. All she felt was a need to protect the people she was laying claim to. Her eyes rose to meet Minx’s. These were her people, and she wouldn’t let them be exploited not when she had finally arrived and was more than capable of defending the people she not only loved but cherish.

“Stop and listen!” The voice came from inside of her as well as outside of her. She could hear it echoing as every Kur’ik stopped in their tracks held by the power of her voice.

“Not all of you were present earlier. So, you did not get to meet me. I am Safire Lupe, mate to Declyn Lupe your Alpha. Although you do not know me, you will see me around and get to know me. I am as much Alpha as Declyn, I am as much your Alpha as he is.”

She let her words sink in still holding every Kur’ik still with her voice. There was a mummer from those who didn’t like what they were hearing. They wanted to protest but were unable to even speak.

“There are some of you who will not want to accept who and what I am. To you I say change is hard, accepting a new authority figure is hard, but I am not giving you a choice. I will not tolerate disrespect of myself, my mate, or my people. For those of you have felt the lack of a female Alpha and have tried to fill the spot, thank you. Your honest desire to help is appreciated. I will now fill that spot and deal with all the females as well as the males.

Declyn and I will rule together as one. I am not here to change his method of command. I am here to protect and make sure that we as a family, a community, as a den will work together to assure our survival, our way of life and the ability to always hold each other up. Seek me out I desire to speak with all of you. Females we will hold our first meeting where you will get to know me, and I will get to know you.”

She released her grip just a little allowing them to breathe easier as she listened to the voices that were invading her brain.

“One last thing, Minx and every other female fall under my protective covering. If anyone dares to hurt one of them, you will wish I was never born when I am through with you.”

  Chapter Twenty-four

She opened her eyes to see the respect coming from those she was surrounded by.

  “Thank you.”

She looked over to at Minx who was thanking her. The relief that was etched on her face touched Fire’s heart. For too many years she felt she didn’t have a purpose. She lived for her dreams of a house and a husband. How was she to know that fate had so much more in store for her?

“You’re welcome. I would appreciate it if you kept an eye out and reported anything you see that concerns you.”

  “I will.”

“Why are you all just standing around I thought this was a cookout?” Laughter filled the air as the Kur’iks started talking. Most of them replaying her fight with the animal or her holding them with nothing but the sound of her voice.

“You did it,” Declyn whispered in her ear. “Then again I knew you were an Alpha and my Alpia the moment I first saw you.” His lips traced down her neck causing her to shiver.

  “Alpia,” she whispered. “Alpha’s mate.”

His low growl made her wet. She was twitching trying not to show everyone how desperate she was to feel her wolf moving deep inside of her.

“How long with this desperation last?”

  “Desperation?”

“The need to have you buried deep inside of me.”

“If we’re lucky, all of our lives.”

She could live with that. Now, if only she could get him some place private.

  “Swing, swing.”

Or not. She looked down at Mia’s bright blue eyes and smiled as Declyn picked her up and threw her into the air before he carried her to the swing.

“I’m glad it’s you and not me.” Jessie was standing by her side smiling at the sight of Declyn playing with Mia.

  “What do you mean?”

“There wasn’t any alone time for Cole and me. Mia was always there. I find that she can ruin the most intimate of moments at times. All I have is one person to cock block, you have a whole compound of Kur’iks to cock block. Better you than me.”

Fire threw back her head and laughed. Jessie was right she was going to be blocked at some of the most intimate moments. It was her life, and she was prepared to be horny and miserable more times than she wanted to be.

“I need to thank Mia for showing me what lies ahead in my future.”

“Don’t worry I bet Declyn will only be able to take so much of it. Come into the house let me show you the bedroom of a spoiled little girl.”

  “This I have to see.”

  *~*~*~*

They walked through the front door of their home. Declyn stopped in the living room not moving.

  “What’s wrong?”

  “You’ve changed me.”

  “What?”

“I always thought I was fine the way I was. I didn’t have a mate, but I didn’t need one. All I wanted was my males to have mates. I wanted happiness for them, and that would be enough for me. I lived in this house that wasn’t a home, but I was content because I’d never known a home. Then you showed up with killer curves and a smile that captured my heart. You showed me that you were Alpha the minute you walked into my club and I craved you. I never craved for anything before you.

“You came into my home and shook it up, and now I am standing here in the living room, and all I want to see is how it will look when you are done with it. When I have soft furniture that matches. I can already see us curled up together on the couch or a love seat. I played with Mia and wondered what our child would look like. To my knowledge, no Kur’ik has ever had a child before Lazzar and Amira. I am torn in two by my desire to protect my people and my desire to love you.”

She walked over to him and raised a finger to trace his jaw. “They are not mutually exclusive. You can still protect your people and love them while loving me. Together we’ll work hard to keep them safe. Together we love, fight, makeup
and have children if that is possible. Is that possible?”

  “What do you mean?”

“Has Cait or Tristian commented on children being born between Kur’iks and humans?”

“No.” He ran his hand through her hair allowing the silky tresses to tickle the palm of his hand. “I refuse to believe that we can’t procreate.”

“I’m going to believe you on that one. We should try though every day for procreation,” she tried not to laugh at the word, “it’s important.”

She went to her tiptoes pulling his head down to meet her lips. Taking his hand, she led him to the bedroom. Once there she took off her clothes giving him an occasional smile as she flashed her breast and ass in front of him. Then she walked into the bathroom.

There was no surprise when she felt him behind her as she leaned over the tub running the water. His hard cock was in the crease of her ass making her want to lean over even further.

“If only you weren’t so big,” she said softly.

“Uhuh.” He used his foot to spread her legs out further before he placed her hands on the other side of the tub.

He ground his cock against her ass making her hot and wet as she tried not to grind against him.

He leaned over her allowing his chest to lay on her back. Taking a finger, he stroked it against her slit. It came back hot and wet.

  “I think you want me.”

“No,” her voice was thick with need. “I need you, that’s so much more than want.”

His teeth went to her shoulder clamping down on her. Her body shook in need as her breath caught in her throat. A whimper of desire came out as a mewl begging for more.

His hand went to her nipple pinching it between his finger and thumb as the heat from the water still running rolled over them outlining them in the steam. He switched nipples enjoying the sounds she made.

Her sweet noises demanded he go faster. She wanted to be impaled on his cock, but he was enjoying playing with her as his fingers slid down her body making her sensitive in every spot he touched.

  “Declyn.”

“Do you need something Fire. Is there something I can help you with?”

His finger slid lower until he was rubbing her clit. Her body shook, and he let up the pressure, she called out begging for more.

  “Harder,” she screamed at him.

His chuckle went through her. He pulled on her clit pinching it until she shook with need. His fingers went to her slit as he stuck one then the other within her. She rode his fingers taking them deep inside.

He pulled his fingers out and placed his cock against her slit rubbing it back and forth. She hissed in pleasure as he moved against her.

  “I need you.”

His teased her opening pulling back every time she tried to take him in deeper. He kept driving her need higher while he teased her with his hard cock.

“Declyn, baby.” Her voice was tight with tension and desire.

He licked at the side of her neck before his breath teased the back of her neck and his tongue played with the top of her spine. Every move made her body tense more with desire.

  “Wolf.”

The sound of the name that only she called him broke him. He surged inside of her pounding into her deeply. She clutched the side of the tub, and she met his thrust taking him deep inside and tightened her pussy muscles to keep him inside. The feel of him pulling out almost undid her. The sensation making her legs shake.

“This feels so good,” she cried out as he pounded back into her. Her breath was coming out in sharp pants as her eyes closed allowing her to ride the pleasure of every stroke. His hand came around and planted itself on her belly pulling her closer as he went even deeper.

He took her hard and fast showing her that her body was his. He mastered her even as she laid waste to his thought that he was independent and alone.

  “Declyn so close.”

  “Come for me, Alpia.”

She felt herself let go. The fire burning at the base of her spine spilled over her body. Her legs shook unable to hold her up as pleasure poured through her. She felt his arm slip around her keeping her from falling as she raced through the heavens as pleasure poured through her. For a moment in time, she saw them. They were playing in a field of grass, a little girl with the greenest eyes smiled up at her. She was lost, everything she was and would be melted away as she looked into those eyes and she knew nothing would ever be the same.

Declyn buried his teeth in her shoulder once again reaffirming the bond they shared. Her pussy lips clamped down on him pulling him into the bliss she was already experiencing. His shout was loud as he spilled into her pounding one last time as he filled her body with his hot seed. She collapsed knowing he would catch her.

“When did you turn off the water?”

He looked down to see the tub filled to the brim. “Don’t know.” He pulled out of her before he backed up enough to pick her up.

With a grin he couldn’t hide, he walked into the bedroom on legs that weren’t steady.

“I think you broke me.” He laid her gently on the bed.

“Nah, you’re still functioning. I’ll have to try again later.”

“I’m always up for a challenge. He got into the bed pulled her close before covering them up.

She laid her head on his chest listening to the sound of his heartbeat. It lulled her into the most peaceful sleep she ever remembered having. Later she would deal with the world that was turning around them and the mysteries she still couldn’t place her finger on. Right now, she would sleep with the male she loved.

  Chapter Twenty-five

The ringing of her phone woke her up.

  “Hello?” Her voice was groggy.

  “Ms. Morris. It’s Detective Baker.”

“Hello, Detective. What can I do for you?” She squinted looking at the time on the phone. Eight am, pm? Turning her head, she looked toward the window. Definitely, eight am.

“I just wanted to check in with you to let you know I’m still investigating your case. I hope I didn’t call too early.”

“No, I was just about to get up.”

Declyn opened one eye and looked at her before putting his arm over his face.

He’s so not a morning person. She smiled at the thought.

  “Ms. Morris?”

“Sorry Detective, did you say something?”

“I was asking has anything happened to you that seemed strange.”

“Strange?” She sat up in the bed pulling the cover up to her chin.

“I’m sure you’ve seen the news. There have been reports of mutilated bodies.”

“There has been so much going on with getting relocated that I have not seen the local news lately. What do you mean when you say mutilated bodies?”

Declyn sat up and moved closer to her so that he could hear both sides of the conversation.”

“There have been several women found who have had their bodies cut open. Their organs have been found around their bodies.”

“I was unaware of this. Have you caught whoever is doing this?”

  “Not yet.”

“Why are you calling me about this?”

“The signature of the suspect reminds me of what was done in your apartment. I wanted to call and make sure that you were indeed safe. Have you remembered anything that you think I should be aware of?”

“I wish I had anything new to report to you detective. If I remember anything or see anything suspicious, I will call you. How many women have you found?”

“So far we have found five bodies. We will find the culprit, I suggest you be careful.”

“I will. Thank you for calling me.”

“You’re welcome.” The phone hung up with a soft snick. She still held it to her ear as she looked at Declyn.

“None of those bodies belong to Deja.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“If one of mine dies I know. She can hide her presence but not her death. If she were dead b
lood would flow.”

Her head fell to her chest as tears rolled down her face. “I miss her, I want her back.”

“Then it’s time to find her.”

“Do you think that Ron or whoever is stalking females is stalking her?”

He wanted to say no but stopped. It made sense that they would stalk Deja she was more than human. Ron would have researched Safire before he approached her. Which meant he knew who all her friends were.

  “There’s a possibility.”

She got up and went into the bathroom. Something strange is happening, but I can’t put my finger on it. Why would Deja leave? She would know to wait for her to come around.

Maybe she thought you would die?

Could that be it? Did her best friend think she would die? Would she leave her to die alone? It was possible, but it wasn’t likely. That wasn’t Deja, and that wasn’t her style. So, why did she leave?”

She washed her hair thinking about the time Deja sent her to the store. Her eyes blazed when she did. How come she didn’t notice that before. Now that she was thinking about it, she had seen her brown eyes look like they were glowing more than once. Every time her eyes did that it was accompanied by a frown. Something was bothering Deja, but she never mentioned it.

Stepping out the shower she used a leave in conditioner before she blew dried her hair. Nothing felt right. It felt like if she could turn fast enough, she would find something hiding in the shadows.

Declyn was sitting on the side of the bed waiting for her when she entered the bedroom. She went over and straddled him giving him a deep kiss.

  “Morning, Wolf.”

  “Morning, Alpia.”

His arms slipped around her pulling her in closer for a deeper kiss. She laid her head on his shoulder breathing in his scent.

“I want to go for a walk to clear my head.”

“I’ll come with you get dressed.”

She pulled on a pair of jeans and combined it with a graphic tee. He laughed when he saw the wolves in a tree. It said ‘sometimes you must defend yourself from a higher position.’
