No Love for the Wicked Page 19

by Tiana Laveen

She’s gold glitz and diamond illusions

She makes a bad man feel good…

Makes good men do bad things.

  She’s the Devil’s seductress, Heaven’s Hollywood.

She makes time go in reverse

  She’s the soul’s nurse…

  Got incense between her hips

A witch with a hurting curse

He scratched at her thighs as she yanked on his hair, bringing his lips flush to her heady garden. Soft, dark hair brushed against his mouth, saturated with pussy piña colada. He salivated at the taste of her, worshiped at her intimate altar. His dick pulsed agonizingly with want against the sheets as he suckled from the sweet peach of a woman who was able to reach deep within him, and pull out his hopelessness. She saw it, and yet, she didn’t reject him…

  Imagine that.

Twirling his tongue along her clit, his heated breath filled the tented sheet around his head. She thrashed against him, begging him to never stop. The scent of fresh soap, rose perfume, her wet pussy and sweat burst all around him, driving him crazy. She cursed, yelled his name, and rose up and down as if riding some invisible wave. Their hands touched for short moments, then retreated, as though their limbs turned to shy lovers. Her silken brown flesh now blended in with his own, making a tan canvas of souls intertwining.

  “Angelo… baby… baby!”

When she came, her river flowed free, spilling onto the bed and into his mouth like a tipped goblet. He lapped at her juices while slipping his finger inside her, deeper, in and out, slow and easy then faster against her wet sugar walls. Gasping for air, he flung the sheets off their naked bodies and clung to her like a shadow following its master. Wrapping her arms around him, she squeezed him tight. For a split second, his eyes roamed to her nightstand where a gun magazine lay open, and her trashcan was full of dead black flowers. They weren’t the ones he’d sent to her from the floral shop weeks ago. He grabbed her chin and squeezed, then with his other hand, he reached between their twisting, pumping hot bodies and played with her pussy.

“You lookin’ for a gun, young lady? Other than the one you sucked the life outta of a while ago on your living room couch?” He finger-fucked her harder. Her eyes were wild as she clawed at him, finally giving in to another orgasm she could no longer escape. After a moment, he smacked her hip, shaking her back into the moment.

  “Ouch! Shit!”

  “Answer me.”

She kept on clawing at his back, her eyes rolled as he reached for her nipple and began to squeeze it.

“Maybe.” He finger-fucked her even harder. She gasped, and skirted away, but he yanked her closer and shoved his tongue deep in her mouth.

“I asked you a direct question, lady. I want a direct answer. Don’t make me fuck it out of you…”

Her eyes narrowed, as if attempting to call his bluff. He slipped two fingers inside her, while his thumb circled her clit. Kissing her deep and rough, he bumped and grinded against her, all the while never letting up on the expert finger-fucking, giving her the sensations she deserved. A sweet punishment that would make her cum all over again.

  “OH GOD! Angelo!”

She came hard against him, her body shaking, and he rested his forehead against hers. When she settled, he yanked her towards him and twisted her body so her legs would be folded on their side. Her pussy lips pressed together between her thighs, he proceeded to breach the tight fortress with a brutal, hard thrust.

“Mmmm! Soooo good, baby! Rest in peace to ya pussy…”

“Don’t hurt me, baby!” she cooed, her eyes rolling back with pleasure.

“I’m not going to hurt ya… Just fuck ya to death.” He slammed into her and she screamed so loud, the muscles in her neck strained. Head tilted back, her body started to shiver again.

  “FUCK. Yes! I need a gun… SHIT!”

As her screams echoed, he sucked her lower lip like the succulent dessert that it was. He pulled out to turn her and place her legs above his shoulders, going in slower now. Wrapping his arm around her waist, he pulled her impossibly closer, his eyes on her. Fixed. Determined. The bed rocked and sighed along with them.

“You don’t need a gun. Just give me a name, and I’ll take care of it.”

  “No… No! Please, Angelo… I’m begging you.”

He wanted to protest, to tell her he refused to sit this one out, but he realized she was trying to trust him. They were connected, attached practically at the hip. He didn’t want to do anything to disappoint her. Her feelings? Yeah, he cared.

“Then you need to know how to defend yourself, Andrea. Get something other than a damn knife. A knife requires that you be close to someone you’re attacking. Why take that chance? I’ll get cha a gun. I’ll teach you how to use it, too.”

She grabbed his hips, holding on as he pivoted back and forth, sweat dripping from his body.

“I’ll figure it out, Angelo. I’ll take care of it.”

“No, I can’t have that. Don’t argue with me about this. Someone is obviously upsetting you, baby. Be glad that I don’t just take care of them myself against your wishes. I should. I would, if I thought afterwards you’d forgive me.” Distress flashed briefly in her eyes, and he recognized it. ‘Inside My Love,’ by Minnie Riperton, was now the background music to their love.

He slowed, lowered himself on top of her, resting between her legs. He stroked one of her knees as he moved, pumping slow and easy, then kissed up and down her neck and shoulders. She wrapped herself tighter around him than ever before. He took his time, relishing the moment, locked in their embrace, looking into each other’s eyes.

After a while, he slid out of her and positioned her on all fours. Reaching around her belly, he brought her ass flush to his groin. Then, he spread her butt cheeks open and dragged his cock up and down her warm crack. She trembled when he guided himself inside her warm pussy in slow, easy thrusts at first, then faster, much faster, until he was balls deep. Resting his chin against her shoulder, he held her to him and kissed her. Caressed her. She placed her hand over his, which he had over her breasts.

“I’m …Oh God…” she quivered violently as moisture flowed down her inner thighs. He had to hold her close so she wouldn’t crumble.

I never knew I was malnourished until she appeared and filled my heart, and quenched my thirst…

Lying on his side, he turned her on her back and draped one lovely leg over his shoulder. Then, he entered her in deep, long strokes. Their eyes hooked, and she locked her hands around his neck, bringing him into a passionate kiss. He was wrapped tightly around her, but still not close enough. Deep inside of her. But still not deep enough. She rocked her hips against him, left to right, right to left in a seductive, enchanting rhythm. He followed her lead, his heart beating so damn hard, he thought it would burst wide open. Eyes wide, mouth open, he shuddered.

“Andrea! I love the shit outta ya. You make me cum so hard, baby!” He emptied inside of her in fast, harsh jerks.

They continued to hold each other tight. Climbing on top of her, he gripped her shoulder, desperately trying to catch his breath. Settle down. She stroked his hair, then kissed his crown before he buried his face between her breasts.

Moments of peace drifted past. It was getting late, but he didn’t care to look at his watch or check out her alarm clock. He just hugged her, held on… while the music of The Carpenters’ ‘Close to You’ drifted from the radio.

“Andrea, tell me who’s harassing you. Now. I can’t leave here without knowing. That’s just not gonna fuckin’ happen.”

“Angelo, look.” She sighed as he rolled off her and lay on his back, his head on the pillow, arm behind it. “I can’t tell you. I don’t want to because I know how you think and what you’ll do, but I couldn’t tell you even if I wanted to! I honestly have no clue!”

He turned and looked her in the eyes. After a while, he shifted away to light a cigarette, and turned his attention to the ceiling. He took a puff, then passed her th
e cigarette.

“Who do you think it might be? You don’t have to give me a name, but let me know if you suspect anyone at least.”

She shrugged. “I don’t know. I’m tellin’ the truth. I mean, I can’t really think of anyone. I’ve wracked my brain. I get crazy, threatening letters that make no sense. Every now and again, someone will call and not say anything. All I hear is heavy breathing. And these damn black roses keep coming. I’ve called the cops. They do nothing.”

“Ex-boyfriend? Crazy one-night-stand that went wrong?”

She shook her head. “I don’t think so. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.”

As they lay in silence, song after song played on the radio. It began to rain, and after a while, they started kissing once again. He held her close to him while she played with the hairs on his chest, his gold chain, and kissed his collarbone.

  “I… I love you, Angelo.”

“I love you too. If somebody hurts ya, I’m not going to be okay with it. I’m not going to be still and just take it, either. I’m your man.” He stroked the side of her face with the back of his hand. “And you know who I am, and how I move. You wouldn’t ask a lion to not bite… You can’t do this.”

She was quiet for several minutes.

“I know for you, Angelo, love means protection. Though I pride myself as someone who can take care of myself, I’ve failed. That’s obvious because these damn letters keep coming, and the harassment continues. This has been going on for several months. It stops for a week or two, then begins again. It’s like being trapped. Hunted. I want the protection from you, baby, I do, but see, I don’t want you involved.” She lifted her eyes to him. “I had… I had a vision of you being arrested. Put away for so long, you never saw the light of day again. It scared me. Worst of all, it was avoidable, and it was tied to me.” She pointed at herself. “I refuse to have that on my conscience. And I refuse to lose you. This is it. So, if you let me handle this, then you’ll be okay. Protected.”

“That was a dream. Not all of your dreams come true.”

“You came true…” He lowered his head. “Look, baby, just let me figure this out. Help me from afar. Teach me how to use a gun. Show me everything you know, then walk away…”

He stroked her arm as he filled with resentment. How did she not understand that a man like him would not accept this? That she was forcing him into an agreement he would later break. He understood her concerns – why would she want him to spend the rest of his life in prison? But he loved her. And he’d rather she be alive and safe, than him to have his freedom.

He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. She smiled as she nestled closer in his arms.

“Tomorrow, I’m clearing my schedule. I will pick you up after work. Bring a change of clothes. Something real pretty, and something casual to wear, too. Comfortable shoes. I’ll have a piece for ya, and I will give you your first lesson. Then, I’ll take ya to a nice, fancy dinner, one of those spots that have feasts that cost three figures for just an appetizer and a salad, and we’ll spend the rest of the night together. Just you ’nd me, baby.”

“Oh, that sounds great, Angelo.” She kissed him, then rested her head on his chest once again. “Do you know, you crazy man, that I feel protected by you, just because I know you?” Damn, she was so pretty. The sight of her there, with him, filled him with joy. “Just by your voice, Angelo? When you speak, it sounds like mountains moving. I feel safe, just by being with you, in your arms. You being here right now? That gives me peace and courage. We give each other things, ya know? We build each other up.” He couldn’t disagree with that. “You make me feel all right, like I can handle this. It’s going to be okay. I just know it.”

She reached up and stroked his face. He took her hand and kissed it, while Gilbert O’Sullivan’s ‘Alone Again’ played on the radio…

  CHAPTER FOURTEEN

  The Red Light Special

Rule 14: When it comes to affairs of the heart, Angelo, keep your ol’ lady wrapped in blinders, furs and diamonds. Kiss her often and offer unwavering security. She’ll in turn provide a nice home for you, companionship, readily available pussy, and children. It’s crucial to understand, there will always be two sides of you. She must never see one of those sides. That’s the key to a happy home.

  …Two weeks later

Andrea sat in her living room, an open cardboard box on the floor filled with the new books she’d ordered from the magazine catalog. Winona had several magazine subscriptions, everything from People to Playgirl. One such publication had a flyer included consisting of an advertisement for special books about rare international narratives, the history of world religions, and whatnot. Winona knew her well, so she’d handed it over one afternoon.

  They’re finally here.

They’d taken two months to arrive, so it felt like an early Christmas. She pulled out one hefty book about ancient dream interpretations from the 1800s. This had been a definite impulse buy, not something she’d normally gravitate towards. She ran her hand across the hardbound mahogany cover, then flipped it open, immediately getting lost in the pages. The illustrations were beautiful.

She startled when a child’s scream, followed by laughter, came from outside. She shifted to get a better view out the window. Children were running to and fro, elation on their faces. The sight reminded her of a dream she’d had a couple of times lately, only the child was crying. Nonstop sobbing. She shook the thoughts away and focused on the trees.

The leaves were turning from rich shades of green to vibrant red, yellow, and tangerine, and there was a briskness in the air as of late, too. A welcomed change of temperature from the brutal summer heat. She looked back down at the book, and got ready to turn another page when the phone rang.

She jumped up to answer, her bare feet slapping the floor.

  “Hello?”

“Hey, daughter of mine. I refuse to call you my niece. What’s shakin’?”

“Hi Auntie, I just got in from work after swinging by the post office on my way home. What you been up to? I called two days ago but Nancy said you were out.”

“Yeah, baby.” The older woman coughed. “I needed some more cough medicine and aspirin. I’ve gotten a damn cold. It isn’t even winter yet, but you know, this happens to me around this time of year. I decided to go on and get some groceries, too. Yesterday I spent most of the day in bed.”

“Why won’t you try one of my teas? I’m telling you that it will get rid of your infection right away.”

“You must think you’re Quincy, M.E.” The lady cackled. “Teas, huh? What you got in there? Eye of newt?” They both burst out laughing that time around. Now her aunt sounded much like Angelo – ribbing her in a funny, affectionate way.

“Come on, Auntie. It’s just some normal herbs you find in nature. In a garden. The amount, purity, and freshness are what make the difference. You bought medicine, and yet you’re still coughing. Give my natural linctus a try.” She put her hand on her hip as she got into a selling mood. “I’m going to bag you up some teas and bring them by tomorrow. And that’s final.”

“All right, I’ll try some. How have you been, honey?”

“I’ve been good.” She plucked a grape from a glass bowl on the counter and popped it in her mouth. “Work has been fine, didn’t get shorted on my check this week. I’ve got a couple new clients, too.”

“Good for you, baby. Your little business is takin’ off. The only business I’m tendin’ to right about now is kickin’ up my feet and viewing the television. Tonight I figure I’ll watch Dallas.”

“Oh boy, Dallas.” She chuckled. “You never miss an episode, Aunt Bev.”

“Girl, it’s so good! You need to tune in.”

  “I have a date.”

“Ohhhh,” her aunt said in a silly, sing-song tone. “Who’s the lucky man?”

“Remember when I told you I was dating someone?”

“Mmm hmm, that’s right. Some tall, devilishly handsome Italian. Angelo. Yo
u free-lovin’ young people don’t have no rules. That White boy must be outta sight!”

  They both cracked up.

“Yes, well, I like him.” She picked up another grape and played with it. “I like him a whole lot, Auntie.”

  The other woman went quiet.

“You’ve been seeing him for a while now? It sounds serious,” she finally said.

“Yes. He’s my boyfriend. Hopefully you can meet him soon. Oh, and he’s pretty knowledgeable about firearms, so, uh, you know, with the way crime is rising around here, I figured that uh, I’d get a gun, too.” She thought about the brand-new weapon sitting loaded in the top drawer of her bedroom dresser. “He’s been teaching me how to shoot, Aunt Bev. He took me up to Mt. Vernon and we went to the Westside Rifle and Pistol Range before that. He’s really good. Explains things well. He should’ve been a teacher. Makes it all perfectly clear.”

“You didn’t need no Italian man to show you how to tote a pistol. You coulda come to your own family and ask Uncle Damon or your cousin Troy to teach you how to shoot a damn gun. Hell, I begged you to get a gun a couple of years ago but you wouldn’t. Now you all about shooting something, like your name is Elmer Fudd and the world is Bugs Bunny.”

Andrea refused to tell her aunt about the weirdo sending her black roses and threatening letters. The woman would do nothing but worry herself sick.

“Well, I decided you were right. A woman can never be too careful.”

“You’ve got that right. All my brothers and sistas know how to shoot, Andrea. So does your cousin, Travis. I’m not the best, but I bet you I could handle my own! I still keep one in my purse, just in case. I haven’t shot a gun in years. I had to pull it on your uncle one time, though. Comin’ up in here high, wild in the eyes, sweatin’, butt naked with a knife. He was talkin’ crazy, saying something about coyotes being in the street calling his name. Now when have you known a damn coyote to be standin’ on Lenox Avenue? And ones that can speak the Queen’s English, at that? You all were grown, moved out, but he was asking where the kids were, too. Wasn’t no children. He ain’t know where he was or who he was that evening. Stone cold outta his mind.”
