The heat from his body and dancing consumed him. It was the night of the full moon and he needed relief. Although the music was loud and fast, Hunter had Christine in his arms, and whispering in her ear, but he was thinking of Katie.

“Can I go home with you? I don’t want to be alone tonight,” Hunter says.

“I don’t see why not. My roommate is staying over at her boyfriend’s place tonight. He’s a shifter, too. I’ve never been with a shifter. I hear it’s an unforgettable experience.” Her tone playful, her voice holding a challenge.

She looked at Hunter. Although his fabulous sexy body was there with her, throbbing against the fabric of her thin dress, his mind was in the booth with Katie. His eyes fell back on Christine.

“Is that so?” He said with a sexy smile and husky voice. “I aim to meet all your expectations.” After Hunter solidified his plans for the full moon, he watched as the waitress in her little fox uniform place the drinks on the table. He took Christine’s hand and led her back to the booth just in time to watch Devin pull the waitress down and place some money in her breasts. Katie shot him an angry glare.

Devin wasn’t moved by Katie’s disapproval of him flirting with the little fox shifter.

When Hunter and Christine stood at the table watching, Hunter said, “Devin I need to talk to you.” Hunter’s tone icy and his voice filled with cold authority of a big brother. A drunk Devin didn’t protest, but stood and ambled out of the booth as Christine pushed in near Katie.

Hunter signaled to Devin to follow him and they walked to a corridor near the men’s room to talk.

“I know it’s none of my business, but aren’t you being disrespectful to Katie.”

“You’re right, it’s none of your business. She made her choice and she chose me. I don’t need you policing me and telling me how I should treat her.” Devin turns to walk away and Hunter grabs his arm.

Devin’s quick eyes follow Hunter’s arm. Then he meets his gaze rapidly. He’s staring at Hunter trying to control himself.

“I will respect what father says, and because you are drunk we won’t settle this now, but if you continue to disrespect her, you will have to deal with me.” Hunter turned to walk away.

Devin called out. “Why don’t you leave me and Katie alone and get your own woman. She doesn’t want you, she wants me, drunk and all.” Hunter stepped into the men’s room, but when he returned to the booth Devin hadn’t made it back. He glanced around and saw Devin whispering in the ear of the little fox shifter in clear eyesight of Katie.

Hunter took one drink, and looked over to Katie passed Christine who sat watching Devin and Hunter.

“Katie, I have to ask a favor of you. I know you have a few weeks off for spring break, but I was wondering if you would keep Haley at your place. She’s the teenage girl I brought home. Would you mind letting her stay with you until I can make some arrangements. She’s a human like you...” He didn’t finish his statement.

“It won’t be a problem, Hunter.” Her voice warm. She glanced at him for a second. “I’m not going back this semester. Devin and I want to make plans for our wedding.” Hunter looked up and Devin was standing smiling. Katie took Devin’s hand and he sat and pulled Katie to him as he watched at Christine with drunken half closed eyes. “Isn’t that right, Devin?” Katie asked.

“Yes, sweetheart anything you say.” His words slurred. He didn’t hear Katie. He pretended he knew what she had said. His eyes were focused on Christine and then on the little fox strutting across the floor.

“Now that this is settled. We’re leaving,” Hunter said in a cool voice. Devin didn’t hear Hunter because his attention had changed from Christine to the shifter waitress in the fox uniform, to the shifter waitress in a bunny costume.

Hunter stood taking Christine’s hand, and she stood. Hunter looked over at Devin and Katie and closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

“I love the tails on those gals,” Devin said. He wasn’t talking about the fake tails he was talking about something different and Hunter knew and unfortunately Katie did too.

“If I were you, Katie, I would get him home before he gets wasted.” Hunter stared for a moment at Devin. What had happened to his sweet brother in the two years he had been away? Devin liked females but he was never a womanizer. Now with all the drinking he became someone Hunter didn’t recognize.

Katie stared at Hunter. She understood what Hunter was saying to her. Get him home before something terrible happens. Devin couldn’t drink, and when he did, he wanted to fuck everything that moved especially on the night of the full moon.

  Chapter 6

Christine drove in the direction of the hospital with Hunter sitting near her deep in thought. When she arrived at her apartment building, a small but luxurious complex for doctors and nurses in walking distance to the hospital, she said, “Well this is where I live.” Hunter hadn’t talked to her on the drive, he was too busy thinking about Devin and Katie. “Hunter are you there?”

“Yes. All here.” He hopped out of the car and made a gesture to open the door, but Christine was already standing out near the door of her Honda, waiting for him. Hunter placed his hand behind the small of her back and they walked up the path to the apartment.

“I guess I’ve been gone too long. My father and uncles have made many changes around here I wasn’t aware of,” he said looking up and around.

Christine with Hunter beside her walked up to the front door. There were security guards checking for Ids, however, she had been recognized, so the guard looked up and hit a buzzer and let her in.

“Your guest will need to sign in,” the young guard said glancing up from the screen.

“This is...” Hunter touched Christine’s arm, he looked at her, and stopped her from telling the guard who he is. Hunter just signed the guest book and headed for the elevators with Christine. “I’m on the second floor. It has a great view of the mountains.”

It was a great view for her because Hunter didn’t care if he never saw another snow top mountain. Christine opened the door to a spacious apartment. “Where can I find something like this, but in Samsaville.” She raised her hands. “It’s a wonderful place to live. My rent is paid by the hospital as long as I want to work here. What more can a girl want?”

Hunter stood looking around. Modern furniture, heated wood floors, a fire place and a balcony. Two bedrooms and two baths.

“Make me a drink Hunter and make yourself one.” She pointed at the cart in the corner holding an ample supply of liquor.

  “I’m not a drinker.”

“What do you do for fun?”

“I guess I don’t have any fun,” Hunter said opening a bottle of wine. Christine stood in front of Hunter facing him. Her hands starting with the first button and then her eyes meeting his.

She had planned on captivating him with her sexy body, but instead his eyes locked on hers and she was the one caught in his wonderful trap. She unbutton his flannel shirt one button at a time slow and easy until she was at the last button. Then she trailed both hands up his massive chest under his arms and then cupping his muscles.

  “Wow,” she said breathless.

Her fingers played through the fine dark hair on his chest. Hunter stood watching at her with his hands to his side, as she took each sleeve, and unbutton one after another. Then she pulled the shirt off and let it drop to the floor.

“Oh my you really have a great body,” her voice smoldering with anticipation.

“Yours isn’t bad either,” he said smiling at her. He turned her around and then with one swift move, as if she was a small animal he had caught, he unzipped her dress and it dropped to the floor. Hunter’s eyes opened wide. Christine stood with only her cowboy boots on. Her large breasts heaving up and down and no visible hair on her body. “You weren’t cold? You have nothing on under that dress,” Hunter said in surprise. He would have noticed if he wasn’t so focused on Katie.

He wondered why he didn’t smell her. Could it b
e that he was overcome with the smell of Katie blocking out the smell of another female in heat.

“No,” Christine said with a low moan. “I stay hot. And I’m hot for you now.” She reached and unbuttoned his jeans. “Wow, you are packing. It’s true what they say.”

“What do you mean? You’re a nurse, don’t you get shifters in the hospital all the time?”

“Not all shifters are created equal.” She smiled looking up at him. “You’re the first werewolf I’ve seen naked. I mean you are...you know. Your manhood is so large. I’ve never had sex with a shifter.”

“Then you’re in for a treat.” He picked her up and said, “Where is the bed room, and where is the shower?” Holding her in his arms she pointed to the left and he entered her room. “I’m taking a shower, are you coming too?” He said.

“Yeah, why not?” She kicked off her boots after he set her on the bed and she followed a naked Hunter into the shower.

“Why a shower?” Christine said turning on the water.

“Water makes it go in easy.”

  “It can’t be that large.”

“You saw it when it’s at rest. But when it wakes up, it’s a monster.” Hunter smiled at Christine.

  “You’re just kidding, right?”

“You have time to back out. You don’t have to do this.” They step out of the shower and he reaches for a towel to dry her.

“I’m all in. I want to know what it feels like to fuck a werewolf. I think I can handle it,” Christine says as she drops to her knees looking up at Hunter. She places her warm hands on his manhood.

“You’re not kidding. This is something to write home about.” She stares at his cock and he lets it spring free. Before Hunter can object, Christine places his glorious cock in her mouth.

“What are you doing?” Hunter questions breathless. He glances down at her and sees her head moving and he feels the arousal coursing through his body. He’s harder.

“Don’t tell me you’ve never had a woman or werefemale to give you a...” He interrupts her and cups it with his hands.

“No. I’ve never had that done before.” She glances up at him and says, “You’re in for a treat and when she places her hand near him he pulls her to her feet. “I’m just an ordinary werewolf. I want to have sex with you. Can you understand that?”

“Anything you say, but I’m going to enjoy this, and I just wanted to give you a little treat first.”

“I appreciate the gesture, but I need you now. The moon is full.”

“You mean it’s the moon that’s making you excited and not me?”

“Not exactly. You are a beautiful girl, but I’m not in love with you.”

“I’m not in love with you either, so that makes it great. When people fall in love instead of taking care of their natural instincts it complicates everything,” Christine says to Hunter.

“Yes. I agree.” Hunter is thinking about Katie. His life couldn’t get any more complicated than it is with him and his twin brother loving the same girl.

“Let’s stop talking and satisfy our animal urges,” Hunter’s says picking Christine up and placing her on her stomach.

“By you placing your mouth on my cock, you have made me more aroused than I thought I could be.”

Christine smiled. “That was the whole point. To make you want to have sex.”

“I’m a werewolf. I want to have sex all the time.”

Hunter’s last sexual encounter with a werefemale was pleasurable. He had forgotten about having intercourse with humans. Now all that satisfied him was the act of taking a woman from behind on all fours.

Hunter stood near the edge of the bed, turned Christine on her stomach and pulled her up on all fours and to him. She propped her body up holding on to the pillow as he stood behind her and then he touched her smooth butt and gazed at it. It had been too long since he made love to a woman and a human. Since his first experience was with a human female it was his inclination to enjoy the warmth and smell of the human body.

Human females smelled fresh like ocean water and wild flowers. He had become entranced with the smell of flowers and when he placed his manhood into Christine’s warm inviting opening, he could imagine he was with Katie once more.

That feeling took him to the first time he met her and place the crown of his manhood to her small opening, and she took it all in, and he had a wonderful orgasm. One he is still trying to repeat with Christine. But it wasn’t Katie and he had been fooling himself.

When he pulled out he had satisfied his lust for the female body and his need. He hadn’t consider her or if she had enjoyed the sex they were having all night. During the night, Christine had convinced Hunter to let her satisfy him with her mouth and he had more than enjoyed it. He had two more orgasms.

Hunter woke early and looked at the clock and then watched at Christine lying peaceful wrapped inside a sheet. He had promised Robert and Haley he would be at Haley’s bedside when she woke. It was now five o’clock in the morning and dark and cold.

Hunter jumped from the bed and walked into the shower. After a quick shower, Christine woke.

  “Where are you going?”

“I remembered you saying something about work today.”

“I’m on the late shift. My shift doesn’t start until eleven tonight. I can make you breakfast.”

“No thanks,” he said pulling up his pants. I have a particular diet.”

“You know that can be dangerous,” Christine said pointing. Hunter looked down and looked up at her. “You’re not wearing underwear.”

  “I never wear it.”

“Can’t find any that will hold that bad boy?” she asked smiling.

“Something like that,” Hunter said returning a wide smile for the second time in a long while. He liked Christine. She made him feel good.

He headed for the door. She walked behind him and touched his shoulder. He turned around. “Hay. “And she stood on tiptoe and then kissed him on the cheek. His eyes opened wide. “Will I see you again?”

  “Yes, soon.”

“How long will the full moon last?” Christine said biting her lip. Hunter smiled and waved goodbye and stepped out the door. He heard a click and clack of a lock. He stood looking at the door and smiling. Then he walked into the elevator and it zoomed him down to the first floor. Another security guard sat at the desk. He glanced up from the morning paper in one hand, and a large cup of coffee resting in the other hand, ready to bring it to his mouth.

“Good morning, Mr. Samsa,” a young voice said. Hunter looked up to see a young man about twenty five smile at him. He gave him a nod.

Hunter was surprised that he had been recognized. Perhaps it was Devin that he knew. The guard looked as if he had just moved to Samsaville. He was one of the many fresh faces in town. Hunter could always tell by their over pleasing manner. His instincts told him he was a recent transplant from a city.

Hunter waved goodbye as he walked through the lobby to the outside. Looking up he saw the large moon that controlled his every waking day. Then he saw a car parked in front and when he looked again not believing his eyes, it was Katie getting out and closing the door to the car.

Katie’s face and forehead furrowed. Her eyes swollen. Parts of her shirt were tucked inside of her jeans, and the other part hung on the outside. She was in complete disarray. Her jacket Hunter had given her torn on the sleeve. It was as if a wolf had left an image of claws on the sleeve, ripping it in five places.

  Chapter 7

“What is it Katie?” He said running to her holding her in his arms. She put her head down.

“I’m here because I didn’t know who I could turn to. I was desperate, Hunter. If I called Robert he would have lectured me and forbid me to see Devin again.” For Hunter that wasn’t a bad thing, but he knew Robert, and that meant him too.

  “How did you find me?”

“I know Christine’s girlfriend. She had double dated with me and Devin. Devin introduced her to one of the
shifters in town.” Katie took a breath, “Devin wanted to go to this party on the outskirts of town at this motel, and I didn’t want to go. He made me go anyway.”

Hunter interrupted Katie. “Wait. Get back in the car.” He opened the passenger side door and Katie entered, then he closed it, and walked around and opened the door, and sat under the wheel. He started the car up and pulled away from the curb.

  “Where is Devin?”

“I left him at that motel and took the car. He was drunk and acting strange. Every woman who approached him, he would disappear into another room with them, or the bathroom, and I wouldn’t see him for hours. He would come out sweating and then tell me to wait for him.

Then this Tiger shifter thought I was alone and tried to rip my clothes off. I managed to scratch him across the face and shout that I belonged to a Samsa. That’s when he left me alone. I rushed out of the motel and found the car. Devin in his drunken stupor had left the keys in the ignition. And I came here to wait on you. Was I wrong, Hunter?”

She looked at Hunter with her beautiful big eyes covered with a lush pair of dark lashes circling each eye.

  “Where are you going?”

“To find Devin.” Hunter made a right off Main Street to highway eighty going east to Reno.

“Do you know where that motel is located?”

“Yeah. Pretty much. Devin always party with a bad boy shifter named Eric. Eric’s father owns the motel.”

“Devin hung around with Eric getting drunk and dating girls. Together one night they took some underage girls out for drinking. Eric had something else in mind. The local police called my father, and he ground Devin until he turned eighteen,” Hunter said watching at Katie as the sun hit her silky hair and mixed with the green in her eyes. She’s spectacular, he thought.

“Devin isn’t for you,” Hunter said not meaning to voice his feelings so clearly. He turns to Katie looking at her but not for a reply. She’s surprised at Hunter, but she hadn’t too long ago came to that conclusion before Hunter came back home, but now was too late.

“Look at that orange and crimson sky when the sun rises from behind the mountains. It’s great to be young and alive. I’m grateful to see it,” Hunter says. He touches her hand. She doesn’t pull away.
