I Like That About Her 2 Page 8

“I could tell,” Faith admitted. “I’m sorry. That’s not something I wanted. I never want to be responsible for you being hurt.”

“You don’t have to apologize,” Chandler said, looking away in embarrassment. “I’m the one with the issue.”

“No, it’s not just you,” Faith said. “I was jealous too when I saw Megan at your place.”

  “You were?” Chandler smiled.

“Seeing you with anyone but me is still kind of weird for me. To be honest I can’t even think about you two together. It makes me sad to think about you with someone else.”

“It makes me sad too,” Chandler admitted quietly. She slowly moved her hand closer to Faith’s until it was just barely touching Faith’s hand.

Faith looked down at their hands and released a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. Faith slowly moved her hand closer to Chandler’s until she had her hand placed on top of Chandler’s hand. “I know that I was the one that mainly wanted to end things so I have no right to feel sad.”

“You weren’t happy,” Chandler said softly. “Your happiness is so important to me, Faith.”

“But I’m still not happy.” Faith spoke in a hushed voice. She was afraid of what it would mean to admit her feelings out loud. “Not being with you hurts.”

Green eyes met hazel eyes as Faith looked back up at Chandler. Faith held her breath as Chandler gazed back at her lovingly.

“I still love you so much, Chan,” Faith whispered. Tears were threatening to fall from the blonde’s eyes. The love she still felt for Chandler was so overwhelming.

Chandler caressed Faith’s cheek. Faith leaned into the brunette’s touch.

Faith bit her lower lip as Chandler moved closer and closer to her.

“I love you too,” Chandler breathed out as she closed the distance between them, attaching her lips to Faith’s.

Faith kissed Chandler back, tentatively at first. Her hands travelled up and around Chandler’s neck.

As they pulled away from each other, Faith took slow and steady breaths as she gazed into loving hazel eyes. She smiled softly as she kissed her again, more surely this time.

Faith grabbed hold of the hem of Chandler’s shirt. She pulled it over Chandler’s head and threw it to the floor.

“Let’s go to the bedroom,” Chandler said in between kisses. Faith wasn’t just anybody. She wanted this to be special. She couldn’t think of anywhere more special than the bed that the two had once shared.

Chandler held Faith’s hand in hers as she led her upstairs and into their bedroom. Faith shut the door behind them. As soon as Faith turned around, Chandler grabbed the bottom of her shirt and pulled it off of her. She reached behind the blonde and unclasped her black bra. Faith shrugged her shoulders, allowing the piece of clothing to fall to the floor.

Chandler smiled as she held her arms around Faith, kissing her gently. She had dreamt of being with Faith again, but feared that it would never happen. A huge part of her was afraid that she was asleep and this was all a figment of her imagination. If it was a dream, it was a dream that she never wanted to wake up from.

Faith moved forward until the back of Chandler’s legs collided with the bed. She gently pushed Chandler backwards, causing her to fall back onto the bed. Chandler quickly sat up and untied Faith’s joggers. She slid them down and grabbed Faith’s ass as she glided her tongue over Faith’s erect nipple.

Faith threw her head back as Chandler wrapped her mouth around Faith’s right breast. Chandler brought one of her hands up to her lover’s other breast. The two women knew each other’s bodies so well. They knew what each other enjoyed most.

Faith regained control and undid the front clasp of Chandler’s bra. She threw the material to the side and pushed Chandler onto her back. She quickly unbuttoned Chandler’s jeans. She grabbed hold of both her panties and her jeans, swiftly taking them both off of the woman. Faith kicked her joggers off of her feet and quickly took her panties off. She wanted as little clothes between her and Chandler as possible.

Faith straddled Chandler’s lap. She kissed the spot on Chandler’s neck that she knew would bring the brunette closer over the edge.

Suddenly, Chandler stopped Faith and made sure she had her full attention. Faith looked down at the brunette affectionately.

  “Is something wrong?” Faith asked.

“No, it’s just,” Chandler whispered. “Are you sure?”

Faith had forgotten how thoughtful Chandler could be. She couldn’t put into words how it made her feel to know that she cared about her so much. “I’ve never been surer about anything in my entire life.”

“I love you so much,” Chandler breathed out, bringing her head up to kiss the blonde.

“I love you too,” Faith said, gently pushing the brunette’s head back down. She used her leg to spread Chandler’s legs apart.

Faith brought her hand down to the woman’s sex. She slid two fingers through Chandler’s folds, making sure to hit her clit.

The two women didn’t dare look away from each other as Faith continued touching Chandler. This wasn’t just sex to the two lovers. Faith was making love to Chandler.

Faith went further and entered Chandler with two fingers, thrusting her body against Chandler’s.

Chandler cried out at the sudden intrusion.

“Don’t forget Ky is sleeping,” Faith smiled. She knew Chandler could get loud during their love making.

Chandler smiled seductively at the blonde as she wrapped her arms around Faith’s neck, allowing Faith to thrust into her again.

Faith and Chandler gazed into each other’s eyes as the blonde continued thrusting in and out of the brunette.

As Chandler cried out in ecstasy, Faith crashed her lips into Chandler’s, muffling the sound of her cries.

Faith kept her fingers inside of Chandler until she could feel the brunette’s walls begin to relax. She slowly slid her fingers out of the woman and looked down at her adoringly. She stroked Chandler’s cheek as they both caught their breath.

  Chapter 14

“Has it been three minutes yet?” Faith asked impatiently.

Chandler sighed as she smirked at the blonde. “Honey, it hasn’t even been thirty seconds.”

  “Seriously?”

  “Seriously!”

“Maybe your timer is wrong,” Faith said casually.

“My timer is not wrong! It’s my iPhone timer. How much more accurate can you get?”

“Are you sure you started it on time?”

“Faith,” Chandler smiled. “I love you, but you are being really annoying.”

“Bite me head off why don’t you?” Faith said under her breath.

“We’re at a minute,” Chandler informed the anxious blonde.

“A minute?” Faith asked incredulously. “This feels like it’s taking forever!”

“That’s just because you’re anxious,” Chandler said, holding Faith’s hands in her own. “Talk to me about something else. It’ll make the next two minutes fly by.”

  “Like what?” Faith asked.

  “Anything.”

“You pick a topic,” Faith suggested.

“Faith, this doesn’t have to be a project. Just talk to me about something that’s on your mind.”

“Chandler the only thing on my mind is that stupid test on the counter.”

“How’s Riley doing?” Chandler asked. She was going to have to be the one to make the time pass by quicker. She didn’t want to tell Faith this, but she was probably just as anxious if not more anxious than Faith.

“She’s good,” Faith said. “She’s stationed at home in Florida right now.”

After college, Riley enlisted in the army. Faith barely got to see her anymore because she was usually stationed in another state.

“I still can’t believe she’s in the military,” Chandler said.

“Yeah, I definitely didn’t see that coming,” Faith agreed. “But, she’s happy. She really loves it.”

  “Well,
she wanted to travel a lot so it worked out.”

“Yeah and luckily her job isn’t on the frontlines so it’s not as dangerous as it could be.”

  “True,” Chandler agreed.

Chandler looked down at her phone and saw that the timer was ten seconds over three minutes. “Check it! Check it!”

Faith practically jumped out of her skin at the sudden excitement of the brunette. She had been so calm and collected the entire time.

“You almost gave me a heart attack!” Faith admonished.

“Would you just check it?” Chandler practically yelled.

“Alright,” Faith said, getting up and grabbing the pregnancy test.

Faith looked down at the test, but remained emotionless as she stared down at it.

  “Well?” Chandler asked impatiently.

Faith looked at Chandler calmly at first, but then couldn’t help herself from smiling excitedly. “It’s positive!”

  “Really?” Chandler asked emotionally.

  “No, I’m lying,” Faith smiled.

“We’re having a baby!” Chandler cried, pulling Faith into her arms.

“We are,” Faith smiled, hugging her girlfriend tightly.

  Present

Faith had spent the last three days avoiding both Peyton and Chandler. She couldn’t even begin to explain how guilty she felt for what happened with Chandler. The fact that she didn’t regret what happened with Chandler made her feel even guiltier.

Things had just started with Peyton and they hadn’t put any terms on their relationship, but she still felt wrong. She knew that Peyton deserved better from her.

This was exactly why Faith didn’t want to start dating anyone. She knew that her heart wasn’t ready for someone new. She liked Peyton, but she loved Chandler. She would always love Chandler. She just wished she could have admitted that to herself a week ago, before she had met Peyton.

“Did you hear what I said?”

“Sorry?” Faith questioned. She was having lunch with Barry, the director friend that wanted her to work in his project.

“Were you even listening to me?” Barry smiled.

  “Yes,” Faith scoffed.

“Then what did I say?” Barry asked expectedly.

“You were talking about the movie,” Faith said obviously.

“I asked you if you’ve had the lobster bisque here before!”

  “Sorry,” Faith sighed.

  “What’s going on?” Barry asked.

  “Nothing.”

“Clearly there’s something on your mind, so what is it?”

“I’m just going through some relationship drama. It’s nothing you have to worry about.”

“Hey, we’re friends’ first, colleagues second,” Barry reminded Faith. “You and Chandler still on the outs?”

“No, which is the problem,” Faith answered. “I stupidly decided to start dating someone new. Now, things might not be over with Chandler.”

“I always liked you two together, so I’m kind of biased in this situation.”

“Yeah, that’s the same for everyone in our lives. Everyone thinks we should be together.”

  “What do you think?”

“I don’t know yet,” Faith replied. “So, let’s just talk about the project instead of my complicated love life.”

“Okay. You read the script. What did you think?”

“Truthfully, I love it. It’s definitely something I’d want to be a part of.”

  “But?” Barry asked.

“But I don’t know if I can commit to a six month project. Now that I have Ky I can’t just pick up and leave whenever I want to.”

“I understand, but we would be willing to work with you. We could shoot your scenes around a schedule you’re comfortable with. You could even have Ky on set with you if you’d like. People bring their kids to sets all of the time.”

“I would, but I can’t do that to Chandler. She can’t be away from Ky for that long and she can’t take off work to come visit.”

“So is this your way of telling me no?”

“I’m still undecided. If I can find a way to make it work with Ky, then it’s a yes.”

“Okay, I can give you a little more time to decide. We haven’t even started auditioning yet so you’ve still got time to decide. But, Faith, this project is going to be big. A lot of big name producers have already signed on and we’re looking for big name actors for the parts. I wouldn’t be your friend if I didn’t tell you what an amazing opportunity you’d be giving up by not taking the part.”

Faith didn’t know what to do. This was the role she had been working towards her entire career. She didn’t want to pass up the opportunity, but she had to consider Ky. She was her number one priority now.

When Faith got to the house, Chandler was sitting on the front steps with a bag of takeout sitting next to her.

“Chan?” Faith asked as she approached the brunette. “What are you doing here? Where’s Ky?”

“She’s with Craig,” Chandler said. “After he came by to drop her off at my place it became blatantly obvious that you were avoiding me.”

Chandler looked at Faith pointedly as the blonde looked down at the ground guiltily.

“I figured we should talk, so I asked him if he could take her for the night.”

“I wasn’t avoiding you,” Faith tried to lie.

“Faith, Craig never drops Ky off.”

“Fine, yes okay! I’ve been avoiding you. I’ve been avoiding Peyton. I’m a terrible person and I’m trying to avoid having to face that!”

“I wouldn’t say terrible,” Chandler joked.

“Chandler,” Faith said, a deadpan expression on her face.

“Come on, I got your favorite from that Chinese place you love,” Chandler said, picking up the bag of takeout.

Faith opened the front door and allowed Chandler in before following after her.

Chandler set the bag on the kitchen counter and turned around to face Faith.

Faith looked nervous. She wasn’t sure where this conversation was going to go. She feared that Chandler regretted what happened the other night between them.

“Now, why is it that you suddenly think that you’re a terrible person?” Chandler asked.

  “Because I am!”

  “You are not!”

“Yes I am! We both are!”

“I’m terrible too now?” Chandler asked amused.

“Yes! We’re both involved with other people and we—we…”

  “Had sex?” Chandler finished.

  “Yes!”

“Do you regret us having sex?” Chandler asked seriously.

Faith sighed as she looked back at the brunette. “No, I don’t, which is why I feel so terrible. We completely ruined things with Peyton and Megan and I don’t even feel bad about it. That makes me a terrible person.”

“No it doesn’t,” Chandler insisted. She closed the distance between herself and the blonde, putting her arms around her. “We’re Faith and Chandler. What you and I have together isn’t something you just throw away. I don’t want to hurt Megan or Peyton, but I also can’t deny that I love you more than I’ll ever love anyone.”

  “I love you too.”

“Realizing that we love each other doesn’t make us terrible people, honey. Maybe we needed to see other people for us to realize that we belong together.”

“A lot of people do seem to think that,” Faith said.

Chandler giggled at the remark before taking Faith’s cheeks in her hands. She moved towards Faith’s lips, but stopped just before their lips touched.

“If you want me to stop, I will,” Chandler whispered. “But if you don’t tell me to stop, I’m going to kiss you.”

  “Don’t stop,” Faith said.

  Chapter 15

“I hope she looks like you,” Chandler said enthusiastically. She was lying next to Faith in bed. The two had found out the sex of their baby earlier that day. Needless to say, Chandler was very happ
y that they would be having a daughter.

“Craig is cute too,” Faith said. “A girl that looks like him would be adorable.”

“Yes, but I’d prefer a mini you,” Chandler smiled, kissing the blonde softly.

“An even mix would be nice,” Faith said. “That way the baby looks more like a cross between you and me, since Craig looks more like you.”

“Yeah, that would be nice. It sucks that girls can’t have babies together.”

Faith laughed at the pouting face that Chandler was making. She agreed whole heartedly with the brunette. She wished they could have a baby that came from the two of them.

“But, it’s okay,” Chandler said. “She’s coming from you so she’ll be perfect either way.”

“Do you have any ideas for names?” Faith asked tiredly. The pregnancy seemed to be making her more and more tired every day. She was only five months pregnant. She could only imagine how she’d feel by the end of the pregnancy.

“I haven’t given it much thought yet. What about you?”

  “No ideas yet,” Faith yawned.

Chandler smirked at her girlfriend as she held her hand. “Someone is tired,” Chandler said.

“More like exhausted,” Faith said, closing her eyes. “I didn’t get much sleep last night. She wouldn’t stop moving around in there.”

“That’s my girl,” Chandler smiled, placing her hand over the blonde’s protruding stomach. “She’s already keeping her mama awake all night, just like her mommy.”

Faith smiled softly as she let her exhaustion take over her body. Chandler watched the blonde as she slowly drifted into sleep. She didn’t know that it was possible to love someone as much as she loved Faith. It still gave her butterflies every time she thought of the woman.

Chandler slowly lowered herself on the bed so that her face was right next to Faith’s stomach.

“Hey, baby girl,” Chandler whispered. “This is your other mom. I’m not really sure if you can hear me or not, but I just want you to know that I love you and your mama very much. The truth is I don’t know what I would do without your mama. She’s pretty incredible.”

Chandler looked up at a sleeping Faith and grinned. The blonde looked so at peace.
