Fallen Into Hell: Fallen: Book 2 Page 30

by Layna Snow

“Shower first,” Thanatos said, seeing a good opportunity.

Sophia turned and smiled at him, and her inner light warmed him from the inside out.

“Alright, I’ll tidy everything up and shore up the back door.” Adrian explained before picking up his bag beside and leaving the room.

Thane knew that he was going to try to contact the Hunters. They needed to figure out what the best option was for Sophie. They might be able to take her to the mansion. That would be safest, although it would bring them to the Alliance’s attention if followed.

Already the Hunters were there, watching the house. They arrived with Thane and Adrian. They had followed Sophie into town to make sure that she was safe.

Thane would have to thank them for that.

It didn’t take an excessive amount of time to get Sophia into the shower, although it was abnormally small. It was not a shower built for two people, especially not one his size. He wouldn’t be able to stay in this house for any length of time.

The water was hot as it streaked over their skin. He turned so that she could get the most of the water, facing her towards him so that he could wet her hair.

Sophia’s face was hesitant, and he wondered suddenly if there was something that she wanted to know.

“Ask.” He told her, grabbing a bottle of something that looked like hair soap and squirting some into his hand. It smelled flowery and he was sure that it was the scent of her hair. “Whisper.”

She opened her mouth, as if she was about to argue, and then nodded. “It’s nice to spend time with you,” she mouthed, and he had to agree. She spent quite a bit of time with Adrian while he was busy. He enjoyed alone time with her as well.

Sophia let him lean her head back and rinse her hair. He paid special attention to the task, feeling the need to do a good job. It was difficult because he really wanted to watch the water move down her body.

When her head moved back up, he caught her eye and tried to smile. He didn’t make that particular facial expression often, however he felt that it was the correct thing to do when he felt content. It would not be correct to draw attention to the ache in his penis. Although he knew that Adrian would have chosen the second option.

“Tell be about Falling. Was it really bad?” Sophie mouthed, and Thanatos was glad that he didn’t take the opportunity to look at her body at that moment. She might feel as if he was ignoring her for the physical and he didn’t want to make her feel bad.

He could not look her in the eyes while explaining, he needed to do something with his hands. So, he reached down to get the soap.

“Horrible” he told her, squeezing some of the body wash into his hand. “Overwhelming.” It had been the worst experience of his life. That amount of emotion could not exist inside a Human being at once. He had recently realized that if they occurred as the experiences had, it would have been bearable. The amount flooding him all at once was excruciating.

His mind and body had not been prepared for that amount of stimulation and it could not keep up.

“Had felt nothing before.” He had survived thousands of years with rational thoughts without feelings. He had killed many Demons without thinking about their lives. He had even killed Humans who were in the way. Too many beings had lost their lives in the battles he had witnessed.

“Regret, grief, confusion, anger.” They were things that he had never considered. They were emotions that he didn’t even have the ability to identify. “Agony.” His mind could not have accepted everything. He had lost consciousness.

“Woke later.” He still was not sure if it had been days later, or months later. He didn’t ask Adrian. He didn’t want to know. The weakness left him ashamed. That was an emotion he didn’t want to feel.

With soap on his hands, he ran them along her body. He would rather pay attention to her curves than to the events of the past long ago.

A feminine hand touched his shoulder, bringing his attention back to her face.

“I’m so sorry.” He read her lips, and then saw the sincerity in her eyes.

And suddenly he wanted to give her something in return.

Thane turned her around, pulling her back to his front so that she faced the water. It was at the right height to hit her breasts, and the sensation caused her to gasp. “Trust.”

He then let his hands caress her luscious breasts, feeling the tips harden into points. It was difficult not to lift her and penetrate her. It took all his focus to keep his hands unhurried. She deserved this. She deserved so much more.

He took his time feeling the slight give in her tender flesh, massaging the globes gently. Then his hands moved to pay more attention to her nipples. He could see the color in his mind. They were flush, dark and beautiful. They would get rosier as he plucked them, the blood rushing to the area. They felt perfect in his fingers as he squeezed gently, her indrawn breath and writhing hips betraying her desire.

“Nice. Responsive.” He told her, running his nose against the sensitive skin behind her ear. She smelled of flowers and desire. The unique blend of scents was irresistible, drawing him to kiss the shell of her ear.

His left hand then moved down her body, feeling her slightly rounded stomach. She wasn’t showing yet, he knew, but he could imagine the baby growing inside of her. It didn’t matter who provided the DNA, if she would let them, he and Adrian would be the fathers.

He would give her everything, and Adrian would agree in time.

Sophie moved against him, pressing back into him, as if to get him to hurry, however she knew better than to try to move his hands. If she had, he would have stopped. She was learning.

To be kind and because he really wanted to, he continued the downward motion of his hand until he felt her heat. Her body was already moist as he cupped her, pressing his hand into her mound. It felt like all his blood moved to get closer to her, engorging his cock until it pressed into her back.

It hurt, however he knew to look after her needs first.

Thanatos kissed her neck, taking care to listen to her breathing. He licked the moisture from her skin, loving the way that she tasted. He loved how she felt as she pressed into his hands, needing more.

He was willing to give her more. He was willing to give her anything she wanted. Thane slid a finger between her nether lips, parting them and feeling the silky skin inside. Her folds were wet and her clit was unhooded. He could feel it throbbing under his finger as he circled over it.

He didn’t stay there, instead he moved his fingers down farther to her opening, and slipped one inside.

She was tight, her body gripping his finger as he pressed in before pulling out. Her whole body quivered against his, and her breathing became faster.

He knew that she was close, and so stilled his movements. “Please, please.” She whispered, just a slight sound in the loud room, but he heard it anyways.

Thane smiled against her neck. He would not leave her wanting.

“Ask.” He demanded this time. She would not disobey him. That deserved punishment.

“I want to come.” She gasped, and he felt his heart grow lighter.

“Now.” As long as she asked, he would not resist.

Thane pulled his finger out and pushed it back through her wet channel. He continued the rhythm, and pressed his thumb to her clit.

That was all her body needed to release. As her body shook in his arms, he smiled against her wet skin.

  “Love you.” He whispered.

  ***

Sophie wasn’t sure that she had heard him right.

She had never expected declarations of love from either of the guys and certainly not from Thane. She hadn’t even been sure that he could feel things like that.

Over all, the shower was amazing.

She loved to feel Thanatos’ hands on her body. She liked knowing that a strong body that had killed could be so gentle with her. He was exceptional, and he made her feel cherished. Even now as he dried her off he was careful.

&nbs
p; She also learned a few things that she hadn’t known before.

It was hard to feel like she was worthy.

Sophie’s throat hurt as she tried to clear it. Whispering, even the little that she had, still hurt her damaged throat.

Soph could remember the doctor coming into her room at the hospital after her accident and checking her out. He had looked at her sadly and told her that her vocal cords were damaged beyond repair. Her throat was so wrecked that she’d never really speak again.

He was a nice man, a fatherly old guy, but he had changed her life with those few words.

Her parents told her about the accident, how she had been in surgery, how worried they were.

And then they confessed that Annie was considered braindead.

The whole day had been a shock.

And even after she got out of the hospital and went to see doctors, but no one could fix what was broken.

In fact, she could see now that it had been like a penance. She had constantly subconsciously tried to punish herself after the accident. It wasn’t fair what happened. Wasn’t fair that she was walking around and Annie wasn’t!

But it wasn’t her fault and it was time to stop making up for past mistakes and to start living her life for herself.

When she walked back into the living room with Thane behind her, Soph found Sin right away. He was sitting on the couch with a computer in his lap.

“Oh good. You’re here. I found some cool info. And I think I have some answers that we were wondering. I have to pick your brain a little, Phie. Thane, did you know about her car? It got vandalized twice! Had to get that info from someone else! How come you didn’t tell us, Phie? You’re getting a spanking for that!” He said, putting the computer down on the table and patting his lap.

Sophie went eagerly to him and sat down. She had once been afraid of crushing him. His legs were smaller than hers and she knew how much she weighed, but he seemed to like the position.

She liked it too, actually. And she just liked being with him. She wondered if he knew that.

She leaned towards him and pressed her lips against his, giving him a small kiss that made her insides go soft. After what Thane just did to you? Wow, aren’t you a quick one! But she didn’t care! She liked herself and they liked her, which was all that mattered!

  For now.

Sin responded instantly, fisting a hand in her hair and taking control of the kiss. He thrust his tongue past her lips and took everything that she had to give. He caressed her tongue with his own and she was about ready to remove his clothes when he pulled away.

“Getting quite comfortable being naked, huh? I have to say that I like it. This is how you should always be when we’re alone.” He smirked.

And that was when she realized that it was true. She hadn’t felt the need to cover up, or to hide herself. She didn’t mind walking around naked when they were around.

  And she liked it!

“We can talk, or we can make up with a little horizontal action! Your choice, but I bet you know my answer.” His sharp stare certainly gave away his thoughts. “Oh, and your heart is just as nice as your heart shaped ass.” He added. She couldn’t help but smile at his words. At least he was trying.

“I’d rather talk, Sin.” She mouthed.

“Ohh, my name looks hot on your lips, sweet-thang!” he growled, pressing his lips to her throat. “So fucking hot! I changed my mind. I don’t want to talk!” He said, but she pressed at his shoulder.

She wanted to know what he knew! She wasn’t going to put this off any longer. Information had to come first.

“Fine, fine. So… the Alliance are after you. We know you contacted them. We can guess why. And we got an email from Gage, the spoilsport!” Sin said, looking up at Thane. Who was Gage? “I asked for Phie to be granted access, but he said not until we hold up our end of the bargain. But, his people did have some insight into our little Devil matter. He always holds up his end of the bargain, but not necessarily in the way that it seems. So sexy one, what exactly did you ask for?”

  Oh gosh!

Like she remembered the exact words and which order they went in? She had been so afraid! But she remembered enough.

Grabbing the tablet beside Adrian, Sophie typed out, “I asked for my Annie to walk and talk and be normal. And for her to live another 80 years or so.” Those had been the important things at least!

Sin nodded thoughtfully. “And she had died already. So, someone who is close to you named Annie is going to do all those things. He promised it.” Sin insisted. “Lucifer never backs out of a promise.”

Sophie sighed. This was no use! She didn’t know anyone named Annie besides her sister.

“He must have lied.” She typed back. There was no other explanation.

He obviously led her on in order to get her to find his daughter for him. A young girl who she was bound to come across.

“He doesn’t’ work that way. If he agrees, he has to uphold his end of the deal. It’s not a binding contract otherwise.” Sin argued. “Come on, we can figure it out later. Don’t stress.”

Sophie couldn’t help but stress. She had promised to take care of the Devil’s child. She had agreed to something huge and she was getting nothing in return.

“I’m pregnant, Adrian. I’m going to have a child and also have to take care of one? I have no idea what I’m doing and I don’t even have Annie to help.” She never thought that she’d be in this situation.

Sin narrowed his eyes. “We know that we didn’t get you pregnant. That’s not really physically possible, not even if we fucked all day, every day. So someone must have been stuffin’ your muffin.”

“What?” Of all the ridiculous things that he could say!

Besides, he has to be wrong. There was no other way for her to get pregnant besides one of them. She hadn’t been with any other men in years.

“No shade! I mean, we will have to kill the dude, but we will take care of you and the child!” Sin smiled, angelically. Sophie knew that he was anything but!

“Two children.” She corrected. “The Devil’s daughter and this-”

  And then she got it.

Horrified, she pressed her hand to her still jiggly belly, as if she could feel the baby inside of her.

A little girl if she was right.

“Oh, Jeeze! I’m pregnant with the Devil’s daughter!”

Kellen Tolk looked around at the team in front of him. They were getting their things ready to move out. He didn’t often deal with the men and women who went on missions. He left that up to the commanders. This mission was different, however. This mission had become personal.

He didn’t like when people tried to take advantage of his company. He didn’t appreciate them undermining him. That one woman thought that she could go up against all his men and resources and somehow survive was insulting.

Tolk often received reports about the men and he knew that they were all well qualified for each mission. These men were some of the best. It might have been overkill to pick one of his top teams to kill one Human woman, however he wasn’t taking any chances. She couldn’t stay alive with the information she knew.

  Now he had a name.

He had just received a message from one of Satan’s Xérnal Demons which told him the name and location of his prey. The woman was in her mid-twenties and lived in the little town of Cold Wood. It was the same place which Phillips located in the end, apparently. The Torres woman was young but helpless. It would not take much to kill her.

They would also remove her computer and her cell phone for research purposes. If she had told anyone else, they would need to be removed as well.

It would not do to let too much of the information slip.

He already killed the Xérnal. The sight of its limp bloodless body lying in his office cheered him up. Those bastards always thought they were the best. In reality they were nothing but rats in the circle of power. They had no ambition, no real strength. All
they were used for was to give and take information. A cellphone could do that up here.

He was not like those Demons. He planned to rise up in power inserting himself into the government until he controlled all the American Humans. Already he had several governors in his corner. He reeled them in with the promise of great medical advancements, but the money wasn’t funding animal testing. They were funding a few research labs that dissected and tested the Hidden, as well as some Fallen and Demons, to see if their essences could be used for medicine or war.

That research would prove vital to his plans. There were super soldiers that had been created to do odd jobs for him. Soon, however, they would be able to market the research and sell it to whichever government paid the most money. He didn’t care about which country he ran.

Those Humans that supported him believed that he was helping rid the world of evil. They thought that he was a hero. They thought that he was Human. They were wrong.

Even these men before him had no clue that he was anything other than an average middle aged millionaire. Although they didn’t ask too many questions. As long as they got paid they would do whatever he wanted them to do.

“Are you sure that you want to use them for this mission?” The large man beside him asked. This man was a commander, the team’s handler. He watched over them and kept account of their actions. He also picked what missions they were sent on. If they were injured or were not equipped, then they would not be sent.

In any other situation, Tolk would have agreed. This one he could not afford even the possibility of failure. Because he showed this mission so much attention, if it failed it would reflect badly on him. People would wonder about his ability to lead and his good sense. He would not let that happen. That meant that he had to have the best.

“You don’t get to question me, Angus.” He did not expect any difficulties, however he was not taking the chance. She was conspiring against them, attempting to use their system for her gain. He did not know what she was hiding. She could have been in league with someone.
