Glorious.
Exhilarating.
Arms out, body molded against Donovan’s, she basked in the sensations overwhelming her as the world rushed toward her. Parachutes appeared in the distance, farther away than Rhea expected. A tug drew her attention away from the thought, whatever it had been.
She blinked, looked up and noted the parachute as Donovan steered them toward the right, where the other chutes had headed. How did anyone know exactly where to land? Were there target schematics in their HERA headgear?
The thoughts rushed through her brain as Donovan guided them to the ground. The landing rattled her insides, but the man behind her took the brunt of the impact.
“You good?” Donovan asked in the com.
Wow! That was…
“Amazing!” Rhea exclaimed.
Donovan chuckled. “When this is over, we’ll get you up again.”
Most definitely.
