“What is it about Piper that attracts you to her?”
“What isn’t attractive about her?” Beth came into the room a little farther, looking behind her to make sure no one was walking by. She held a bunch of files in her arms. “Your wife is full of life and vitality. She’s like a walking ray of light. She’s gorgeous—but she doesn’t even seem to know it, which makes her even more beautiful. I’m positive that when she experiences pleasure, it’s written all over her face.” She shrugged. “Anyone would love to see that.”
It was all true.
His wife was something uniquely special. She was a beautiful soul who didn’t even come close to realizing how amazing she was. “Thanks for that,” he said. “Can I ask you one more thing?”
“Certainly,” she said, smiling.
“This is going to sound totally conceited,” he said. “But I’m used to people falling all over themselves and making passes at me. You seem…completely uninterested. I find it refreshing, but I’m wondering why.”
Beth blushed and glanced down at her papers. “You are really beautiful.” She raised her head. “And it can be a little off-putting, because the only place you see that kind of beauty is in a magazine or on the big screen. But…” She hesitated.
“Go on,” Michael urged as he leaned up and rested his arms on his desk. “I totally want to hear this. I’m sick of the attention, and I’d love to know what it is you don’t like.”
“Well, your face is blank most of the time, kind of like you’re devoid of any feeling”—she hurried through the rest—“but not when you’re with your wife! I’ve only seen you two together a few times, but it’s like you’re a different guy. Your face changes. You seem genuinely happy. Now that guy, I’d totally get it on with him!” She met his puzzled expression. “I hope that was okay to say. I don’t meant to imply you have no feelings. It’s just…you seem detached most of the time, like you’re just going through the motions or something.”
“No, that’s…that’s good to know.” Michael thought about it. “I hadn’t realized I was coming off like that.” He smiled at her to put her at ease. “It makes sense, though. Piper makes me the happiest, so when I’m with her, I feel content. But, just so you know, don’t get your hopes up that Piper would be into anything with…another woman. I don’t think that’s her thing.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t be with her alone.” Beth winked, and then turned to leave. At the door she glanced over her shoulder. “What I would give her would only amplify what you were already doing. Your wife is totally in love with you. I doubt anyone will ever give her as much pleasure as you can.” Then she was gone.
Michael reclined fully in his seat, absentmindedly flicking his pen around his finger and thumb.
How was Beth able to read all that from a few casual interactions?
He thought what she said was pretty damn close to accurate.
The thought of him being the only one to give Piper ultimate pleasure made him feel satisfied in a way he’d never thought of before. When Piper had had sex with Pete that one and only time, he’d been okay with it, but only because he’d felt their sex life should be fair. He’d had sex with other women in front of her, so how could he deny her the same experience?
But it had ended up being a disaster for her—as well as for him.
He’d had nightmares about it for weeks, but he’d never told her. Piper was already going through a tough time trying to reconcile the act for herself. She didn’t need to feel guilty because Michael had felt inadequate watching her enjoy herself with another man.
In his dreams she always left him for Pete. She would tell him in no uncertain terms that he’d never measure up to what she’d just had. Then she would simply vanish, leaving him feeling hollow and empty.
It’d been awful.
His heart had taken a beating every morning when he woke up for months afterward.
When Piper had finally recovered from her ordeal, and hadn’t wanted to have sex with anyone else, he’d been beyond relieved. He’d actually hoped she would want to stop participating in the lifestyle. But she’d seemed adamant about going back to it—adamant that he keep having sex with other women, telling him that’s what turned her on the most.
He shook his head.
In hindsight, he should’ve come clean with her then. But at the time he had felt he just couldn’t. She had just recovered from a major ordeal, and in the end, all he ever wanted to do was make sure she was happy.
Beth was right.
He loved that woman much more than he loved himself.

Saturday night had finally arrived. Piper was in her bedroom getting ready for their big night out. She had decided to dress in a sexy, form-fitting silver dress with slits that ran all the way up both thighs.
They were headed to an orgy, after all. Not the time to be conservative.
Michael was buttoning up his dress shirt behind her. “If you’re wearing that, we must be going someplace nice,” he commented. “That’s one of my favorite dresses on you, by the away. It’s totally hot.”
“I know. That’s why I’m wearing it. And I’m not telling you, so quit asking,” she said to him as she turned. “You look dapper in that suit. It’s perfect.”
“I wear dress clothes almost every day,” he joked. “I don’t know how much more dapper I can look in this one versus the other gray one I wore last week.”
“I can tell. That one is my favorite.”
“Should I leave the collar open?”
“Yes. No tie. Plus, that particular gray goes perfectly with this silver ensemble.” She ran a hand down the front of her dress to highlight it. “We’re going to look like a perfect matched pair.”
She turned back to her closet to search for a pair of shoes, oscillating between high heels or higher heels. Michael came up behind her, surprising her by wrapping his arms around her and tugging her close. She giggled as she set her head back on his shoulder. “Why do we need to look like a matched pair?” he whispered in her ear. “Should I be worried?”
“Oh, yes, you should be really worried, you naughty boy.” She turned, sliding her hands around his back. “But the short answer is because where we’re going, you’re mine.”
He nuzzled her neck. “I’m always yours.”
Piper smiled. She felt more and more confident every day, and the sex she and Michael had had the other night had been perfectly wonderful. Tender and intimate. And tonight she planned to show him what she wanted, instead of telling him. A little fear fluttered in her chest that he would want something else, but she tamped it down.
She knew in her heart Michael wasn’t going to leave her.
That had to be enough.
“That’s the kind of thing I like to hear,” she said into his neck. “This is going to be fun. Kind of a celebration of how far we’ve come.”
“Speaking of celebrating…you know, our ten-year anniversary is this summer.”
“I know. I think we deserve a pat on the back for making it this far.” She placed a kiss on his neck. “Don’t you think?”
“I’m thinking we need more than a pat on the back. How about we do something special and go all out? Take a long vacation somewhere. Maybe Europe?”
Piper moved back. “Really? How long is long? You’d have to take a chunk of time off for something like that. That’s not usually…your thing.” She’d been trying to get her husband to take more than a long weekend trip for years, but she’d finally given up.
“I’m going to start making it my thing,” he said. “I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching lately, and it seems crazy that we’re still in our same jobs, living in the same place, doing the same things we did ten years ago. It’s time to shake things up. I’d have to do some advanced planning, but I think it’s doable. And, more importantly, I want to do it.”
“Are you sure?” Piper could barely contain her glee. “If you are, I’ll start planning something next week! How long do you want to
take off?”
“At least three weeks,” he answered. “And I’m thinking Italy and Paris for sure.”
“Oh, that’s music to my ears, Mikey! You know how to make a woman’s year. We both have so much time off that we’ve never used, so it won’t be an issue. We can discuss dates later, but summer is usually the slowest time at the agency.”
“Then summer it is.” He leaned down and kissed her soundly.
She lost herself in the kiss for a second, but regretfully had to break it. “You can’t distract me from our plans tonight that easily, even with dreamy plans of Europe. As of right now, we need to be out that door in fifteen minutes.”
“Well, whatever we’re doing tonight, just know that we’re ending the night fucking,” he growled in her ear.
“That can be arranged.”

Piper was at the wheel, and Michael was excited to see where the night was going to take them. His current anticipatory mood was fueled mostly by Piper’s excitement. She was ringing with it. Whatever she had up her sleeve, he knew they were going to enjoy it.
After about ten minutes on the road, she pulled into a parking lot he didn’t recognize. “Karma?” he asked, reading the sign.
“Yep,” she said, heading to a parking spot close to the door. “It’s new, and it looks like they could advertise a little better. I’ve heard it’s great, but the place doesn’t look full. Come on, I’m starving.”
They got out and walked in. It was a fairly nondescript building. He opened the door for Piper, grinning. “I think we’re a little overdressed for this place, don’t you think?”
“We would be if this was our final stop,” she said as she breezed through the door. “Which it’s not.”
Once they were inside, the hostess greeted them. Piper leaned in and said something to her that Michael couldn’t hear, to which the hostess nodded once and said, “Right this way.”
They followed her through a room decorated in soft colors to a table close to the back. To Michael’s surprise, Gillian and Brad were already sitting there. “Hiya.” Gillian gave them a wave as they walked up.
Piper bent down to give her a peck on the cheek, while Brad half-stood to shake Michael’s hand. “Hey,” Brad said. “I didn’t know you guys were going to be here.” There was genuine surprise on his face.
Before Michael could say the same thing, Piper said, “You were both kept in the dark on purpose, so just be good and go with the flow.”
Brad sat back down. “If I know my wife, this is going to be one interesting night.”
Gillian gave a noncommittal shrug. “Aren’t all nights with me interesting, baby?”
“Of course,” he said as he slung his arm around her shoulders, “but now that I see the Collinses are here, I have a feeling this one might be a little different than most.”
Brad gave Michael and Piper a smile, which warred with his tough-guy look. Brad wore his typical black T-shirt—this one with an outline of a Harley on the front—his tattoos visible, his five o’clock shadow giving him a look that said, if you fuck with me or mine, you’re going to be sorry.
“They don’t have a full liquor license, so it’s beer or wine. The Indian beer is pretty good,” Gillian said, holding up her glass. She took a sip and set it back down, leaning against her husband. “So is everyone ready for some fun tonight?”
“Of course we are,” Piper said, as she settled herself across from Gillian.
“So you don’t know what’s going on either?” Michael asked Brad.
“Nope, but I’m up for anything. Now that you guys are here, I’m thinking it has something to do with fucking, which I’m always up for.”
“Easy, tiger,” Gillian purred, rubbing his bicep. “We’re going to enjoy the night and see where it takes us.”
Piper opened her menu. “Should we get a few dishes to share?”
“Yes, let’s share,” Gillian said. “None of us wants to be too full. And we have time to spare. Let’s order a few appetizers and then the meal.”
“Sounds perfect,” Piper agreed.
The waitress came to take their drink orders first.
The conversation stayed nice and easy, not veering to sex at all.
Michael found himself relaxing as they chatted. But he couldn’t help hoping this night wasn’t going to end with him having sex with Gillian. That was the first thing he’d thought when he saw Brad and Gillian here. That Piper was ready to jump back into their old lifestyle again and that’s why she was so excited.
But that’s not what he wanted.
He wasn’t going to ruin Piper’s dinner by saying anything about it now. He decided, as the conversation flowed, that if it came to that, he would just seduce his own wife instead and coax her into having sex with him. He didn’t want anyone else, and that was more apparent right this minute than it had ever been.
How things were now with Piper was what he craved.
He couldn’t stop thinking about the sex they’d had the other night in bed and her pussy clenching around his cock.
The waitress took their appetizer plates away and brought them more beers and a glass of wine for Piper. Then they ordered the main meal. They’d gotten only two things to share, but it was going to be more than enough.
“This food is amazing,” Piper said. “But I’m only having one small portion once the main dishes arrive. I’m reaching my limit.”
“The food is good,” Gillian said. “You wouldn’t really know it by the amount of people in here, though.”
“I was saying the same thing when we drove up,” Piper said. “They need to advertise more. I think I might drop them my card on the way out. I’d give them some consulting in exchange for a free lunch.”
The waitress set their food in front of them, and they all dug in. Once they were done, they each ordered one last drink.
“What time is it?” Gillian asked when the table was clear.
“Ten forty-five,” Brad said after pulling out his phone.
“It’s time to wrap this up and move on to the next engagement.” Piper signaled the waitress. “We just need the check. Thanks.”
“Do we get any hints now?” Michael asked, draping his arm behind his wife, using his thumb to caress the small of her back.
“Absolutely not. We’re so close to the finish line, why would we spoil it now?” Piper teased. “Plus, I know you’re going to love it. Or at least I think you will. If not”—she shrugged—“we can go home. I bought a new video for us to watch on that killer TV you installed.” She turned to Brad. “Michael told me I have you to thank for that. I heard you were instrumental in the installing, and without you it would still be in the box.”
“Not a problem,” Brad said. “I was happy to help.”
“So we’re going to an event, huh?” Michael asked.
“It’s best to give it up, brother,” Brad commented. “They’re not going to tell us anything. Gillian won’t tolerate questions from me at this point, so I’m not going to even try.”
Gillian placed a palm on his chest. “That’s right, baby. You just keep those beautiful, full lips closed. If you do, you’ll get a special reward.” Her hand slid up his pecs to his lips, then she pressed a single finger there for a moment, until Brad opened his mouth and took it inside and sucked.
Michael had no doubt that this night was going to be interesting.
They paid up and followed Brad and Gillian out to the parking lot. Piper got behind the wheel, and Michael slid into the passenger seat.
Piper drove out of the parking lot. “We’re not going very far,” she told him. “But that’s all I’m giving you.”
Michael glanced around at their surroundings as she drove, but he wasn’t familiar with this area at all. A few blocks later, Piper followed Gillian through a series of short turns, finally pulling into the parking lot of a warehouse.
Michael sat up as they got closer to
the building. He couldn’t believe his eyes. “Is that a red number one painted above the door?”
Piper glanced out the windshield to where Michael pointed. “Looks like it. Why?”
He turned to his wife, grinning from ear to ear. “I know where we are.”
Piper’s face dropped. “You do? Have you been here before?”
“No! Of course not,” he assured her, leaning in to give her a kiss. “You’re not going to believe this, but this was the last thing on my top five.”
“Are you kidding me?” Piper said. “How did you find out about it?”
“I’m sure you haven’t forgotten Beth, right?”
“The blonde who walked in on us while I was blowing you under your desk?”
“The very same. After you left, she gave me a card, telling me to call her, so I did. But when we decided not to do anything else, I figured it could wait.”
“Oh.” Michael watched as some of the joy in Piper’s face seemed to drain away before his eyes. “Will she be here tonight?”
“I think so. That was the plan anyway. She’ll be surprised to see us, since I told her we weren’t coming.”
“Are you…does she want to have sex with you?” Piper paused. “I guess we could do that.”
Realizing why his wife’s mood had just changed, he immediately leaned over and covered her lips with another tender kiss. He let it linger, his hand cupping the back of her neck, before he pulled back. “No, Piper. I don’t want anyone but you tonight. And she doesn’t want me. She actually wants…you.”
“Me?” Piper’s eyes widened. “What are you talking about? Is she a lesbian?”
“Nope, she told me she’s bi. And she’s totally into you. But I don’t think it’s about sex. It’s just about touching and pleasure.”
A rap outside his window startled him, and he turned to see Gillian. She cocked her head at him. “Well, are you two coming or not?”
