by Joe Dever
[11] (Section 110) This is the correct answer to the second sequence of numbers on the crystal dais grid in Section 235.
[12] (Section 157) If you already carry the maximum number of Special Items permissible, you must discard one in favour of the Deathstaff. If you possess Helshezag, the sword of Darklord Kraagenskûl, it is now destroyed, obliterated by the power of the Deathstaff, and you must erase it from your Special Items list. Section 94 also implies a loss of 5 ENDURANCE points in this incident.
[13] (Section 164) The section corresponding to the correct answer will have a footnote confirming that it is indeed correct. You have only one chance to guess at the correct answer. If you guess incorrectly, turn immediately to 235.
[14] (Section 189) It is safe to assume that a ‘Magnamund year’ has the same number of months in it as an Earth year. The section corresponding to the correct answer will have a footnote confirming that it is indeed correct. You have only one chance to guess at the correct answer.
[15] (Section 235) The section corresponding to the correct answer will have a footnote confirming that it is indeed correct. You have only one chance to guess at the correct answer. If you guess incorrectly, turn immediately to 141.
[16] (Section 332) The Collector's Edition of The Legacy of Vashna adds here: ‘If you do not possess any Gold Crowns, you must give the stable boy one item from your Backpack, of your own choosing.’ However, it does not clarify what to do if you lack money and any Backpack Items. In such a scenario, it would seem best to simply disregard this cost.
[17] (Section 345) The Deathstaff is not one of the classes of Weapons that Kai Lords receive training in, and as such Weaponmastery or Grand Weaponmastery bonuses may not be available for it. Alternatively, you may decide that you can add the Grand Weaponmastery COMBAT SKILL bonus if you possess Grand Weaponmastery in Quarterstaff or Spear (cf. Section 77 of The Deathlord of Ixia where the Deathlord ‘slashes with the sharp tip of the Deathstaff at your face’).
