Blu took Adan by the hand. He tugged her toward the window. Adan held back.
“We can’t leave Rafe alone.”
“We’re only going into the backyard. He’ll be fine. I’m programming the toff’s DNA into the panel; if Rafe wakes he’ll come and get us.”
“Are you sure it’s safe out here?” Adan asked. “It’s dark.”
Blu mentioned before he wanted to take her naked on his planet and show her his birthright. But being amidst the wilds was another thing. The first time they had been together outside in his backyard was spooky, but it had been daylight.
“The Zargonnii hover overhead watching the sky, Titus vamped up patrols. I promise you’re safe with me. They can take us aboard any second if I call for help, I’m monitored. Until the war is over, Titus has everyone monitored.”
“I’m not monitored, neither is Rafe.”
“You both are, remember the injection Finn gave you in his office? It wasn’t only an inoculation, there’s a small chip in it. The chip settles into your blood stream riding through the veins monitoring your health. Our console can detect when you’re under too much duress.”
“You chipped me without my permission?”
“You don’t think your government didn’t chip humans without their knowledge?”
“They would never…”
“Don’t think so? Doesn’t matter now anyway, there’s no one left to monitor you on Earth.”
Adan was thinking about that as Blu was getting busy. Her t-shirt was peeled from her skin and dropped to the jungle ground. Blu felt both breasts in his huge hands for a moment before slipping her shorts off. Adan gazed around nervously; she knew Zargonnii could see in the dark.
“Blu, I’m naked. I don’t want to suddenly appear in a hangar of males.”
He cupped her face between his hands. “Even if you did, a Zargonnii male would protect his mate from anything.”
The tenderness in his tone spoke volumes. Adan was safe, from everything. The clean air was sweet reminding her of summer camping trips. She felt her proud powerful warrior grip her in his arms. He lay her down on the jungle floor, the crackling of old leaves sounded as she settled. For a moment she was sad and fingered Blu’s chest fur.
“Rafe’s mother, she’s a wonderful mother. When I’m gone, will she see Rafe again?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know how long our females survive, but Finn said they live as long as us because of males.”
“What do you mean?”
“Our sperm keeps them living and youthful.” Blu spoke between kisses to her neck and shoulders. “A Zargonnii female doesn’t have three hearts, only one. There is something in a male’s sperm to keep a female thriving.”
“Wait a second,” Adan said and stopped his actions. “What about human females?”
“As long as I live you live,” Blu said and shrugged.
“For as long as you?”
“Yes.”
“You knew all along if I mated you I would be yours forever?”
“Yes.”
“But you wanted a son. I thought when I died you would Holiday and get another chance. I still thought after I was gone you could try for another son. But you never will. Why didn’t you say something?”
“I wanted you more. I don’t want you to ever think you were a second choice. You are my first choice. Rafe is a gift.”
“How long will we live?”
“About another four hundred years. My last heart was killed too soon but this new one is stronger than all hell. I’m guessing that’s because of you.”
“Holy hell. Four hundred years? Will I age?”
“Not really. We will grow old together but it will take years before signs of us slowing down will occur.”
“Rafe is already so big. You said males grow fast for their own protection. Does the aging process slow once they reach a certain age?”
“Why do you ask so many questions all the time?”
“But, but, four hundred years?”
Blu was over top of her. He thrust into her. Adan gasped. “It won’t be long enough.” Blu was growling.
Adan wrapped her legs around his waist wanting all of him. Her emotions were in overdrive. She would live for four hundred years.
“How is that possible?” she asked.
Blu groaned. “Four hundred years of questions will be—interesting. Our sperm has ingredients making us last long. We don’t Holiday often, it’s for survival.”
“Your sperm is the fountain of youth?”
“I have no idea what that means.”
“The fountain of youth is a myth, water that keeps people young forever.”
“Then yes, my seed is the fountain of youth. Zargonnii seed is ninety percent water. The fast flow of water takes only the strong select pods to the mother host. It’s why our birth rate is so successful. They are delivered to the uterus in seconds. Our young ones are large, powerful and with the fast thrust of water they connect immediately.”
Adan remembered how astounded she was the first time his seed exploded onto her belly in the water cave, he came so hard it hurt her skin. She thought she’d drown when he came in her mouth, barely having time to spit any of his seed out.
“When, Blu, when does this take effect?”
Blu stopped rocking against her and sighed. “The second my seed made its way into your mouth. Some of my seed went down; even the smallest amount takes hold immediately. Even if you spat out some, more remained in your mouth to drizzle down your throat. Now shut the fuck up, please, and let me make love to you.”
Drizzle? Interesting word for a gusher.
Adan rocked with the pressure of his hammering thrust into her. She would never lose Blu. She would be by his side until the end. They would raise Rafe for as long as they could. She would be part of her daughter’s life when she conceived.
The jungle floor rubbed against her back. The smells of the night were intense. A streak of white lightning flashed overhead and Adan smelled rain. Storms on Blu’s planet were incredible. On Earth a storm brought terror to her heart. Out here she was safe with Blu. In the corner of the yard, the tree Blu said he would get rid of tucked its vines securely around the trunk. Adan had asked Blu to leave the tree. She never told him what Rafe’s mother said. The secret belonged to the females.
The wind picked up, howling, trying to drown out the growling grunts Blu was making. The elements wouldn’t succeed. Claps of thunder came from her thighs as Blu pumped. His muscles bunched as he struggled to maintain control. Large clawed fingernails raked the ground beside her.
“Holiday with me, Blu.”
“It’s primitive, and you’re so vulnerable.”
“Fuck my socks off.”
“Socks? You’re not wearing anything, what are socks?”
“Socks cover your bareness. They cover and wrap you in a cocoon of warmth. You hide bare feet in them. They close over you, shelter you, cover you. They are something you need, want, and covet when the weather turns rough.”
“Then why would you want me to fuck them off? You make no sense.”
Adan reached up and bit his neck. Blu growled and thrust harder. “There you go,” she gasped.
“The air, the feel of you out here is…”
“Precious?”
Blu groaned. “Don’t.”
Adan curved her lips into a smile. Blu rolled her back and forth over the rough terrain of the jungle floor. He picked her up into his arms and bounced her up and down while standing. Adan was pinned to trees, and the rough fence made of entwined branches. Blu pulled out and lifted her hips to settle his mouth between her legs as her legs wrapped around his neck. She marveled at the sheer strength. One arm wrapped around her waist while the other arm supported her back. Adan lay back, her arms hanging by her sides.
Sucking and laving at her heat made her want to squirm, but instead she held still and embraced the warm tongue lapping her insides and folds. A sharp pierced scream made her turn to
look as a bangor watched them through a small opening in the fence. Blu pulled her down and with a fist to her chest he pressed her onto the ground, keeping her immobile. A quick grab at a solid branch and Blu flung it through a crack between the fencing, killing the beast.
“Blu?” she gasped.
“I’ll get rid of it in the morning.”
He was back on top of her. His huge nails ripping up the ground inches from either side of her face. He told her if she were a female Zargonnii, those nails would be clawing at her torso leaving very few marks. Adan would be sliced in half. Blu grabbed her right arm and spun her so fast she was on her belly, still he pounded within her. Her hips were pulled high, her knees off the ground. She shivered when her back was warmed by his gaze.
Adan had no breath left, she was spent. Blu told her Zargonnii mated for hours during the two week Holiday to make their union a success. All of the male and female’s frustration pent up for two years needed a desperate release. Adan understood why Blu claimed to have slept for a straight two weeks after his first joining.
Her arms limp over her head, Adan rested her cheek on the ground, panting for enough air to keep her from blacking out. Blu howled his release; a number of creatures echoed the howl in the distance. He pulled from Adan and gently turned her over. He was powerful, majestic, kneeling over her. He, too, was breathing hard. Rain began falling in sheets, cooling her body. Thunder boomed as lightning streaked across the sky. The foliage went wild, leaves and branches danced and settled until the wind whipped them into life. Everything was perfect.
“Now what?” Adan whispered.
Blu grinned. “I am the dominant male, which means I take you to a place of my choosing and have my way with you, again.”
“I’m gonna need more socks.”
* * * *
“Veikko wants to stay in banishment?” Adan was incredulous.
She bounced Rafe in her arms inside their home. Blu looked just as incredulous.
“He’s found something,” Titus said.
“What?” Adan asked.
“He won’t say. He has refused all help from the Braxians who are livid. He’s their best assassin,” Titus said.
“They can’t just pull him out?” Adan asked.
“Not this time. He’s gone off grid. Something has made him super sensitive. The Braxians want him back, they’ve asked for our help in locating him on the planet, but I have other issues,” Titus said.
“What would make a super assassin so defiant?” Blu asked.
Adan wondered. She knew Veikko’s temperament. “Can an assassin fall in love?” she asked.
Both Blu and Titus gazed at her in wonderment. Titus finally smiled.
“Anything can fall in love, even an assassin. I wonder if Bertha ended up there. It would take an assassin to look past her flaws.”
Adan was skeptical. “Bertha was damaged long before I met her, she needed something more. Purgatory isn’t really a fresh start.”
“It’s still a start,” Blu said.
Titus ruffed up the hair on their bouncy toff. Adan was finally used to the huge creature. Blu was right, it was super protective and Rafe adored the being.
“So, what’s your pet’s name?” Titus asked.
“Precious,” Blu mumbled with a hand to his mouth.
“I’m sorry, what?” Titus asked in confusion.
Blu sighed theatrically. “Precious, okay? Its name is Precious.”
Titus made a sound surprisingly like a school girl’s giggle before he roared with laughter. He clapped Blu on the back and practically stumbled from their home. Blu looked at Adan, annoyed.
“Every warrior will know about this within the hour.”
“Tell them I named it.”
“Oh, uh, gee, guessing they’ll come to that conclusion by themselves.”
“Want me to beat them up for you?”
Adan put Rafe on the floor with Precious. She walked into Blu’s arms who was now smiling at her.
“Maybe,” he said cheekily.
“I wonder why Veikko is staying on that planet,” Adan mused.
“Who knows, maybe Bertha is there. Except it’s Veikko who will need protecting. That female’s mouth was its own assassin.”
Adan wasn’t certain about Bertha. But Adan was certain she was happy in her home. She was mated to Blu with a beautiful son. And soon she would tell Blu he would be the proud father of a baby girl. Adan felt the baby within her, its emotions. The child she carried was strong. So strong in fact she already interacted with Rafe and Precious.
There was something else too. At times she felt her little one interacting with something else. Adan wasn’t certain if it was the other female half-human, half-Zargonnii offspring. The Gorgano would be in for a surprise if they knew they had created a stronger weapon. Perhaps the Braxians knew and that was the reason they had joined forces with the Zargonnii and Castians. Zargonnii territory was in for one hell of a ride. Adan was the proverbial seatbelt. No shit would happen to her planet. She melted against Blu as he lowered his head for a kiss.
The planet can wait though, for at least a few hours.
