Good for Something Page 2

“What’s wrong, baby?”Casey questioned, noticing her tears. Casey crawled back up her body, lightly brushing the tears off Nicolette’s cheeks. “Why are you crying, my Nicolette?”

“I…” Cupping Casey’s cheeks, Nicolette gave her a watery smile. “Your words mean the world to me. I’ve been so self-conscious of my scar.” Nicolette wondered how she’d gotten so lucky.

“You are though…” Casey continued, nuzzling into Nicolette’s hands.

“What?” Nicolette asked, drawing Casey’s head towards hers. She stared into her Casey girl’s eyes, loving the well of emotion reflected there, knowing her own eyes were brimming with more than just tears.

“You’re beautiful,” Casey answered, her tongue ghosting over Nicolette’s lips. Nicolette’s heart gave an involuntary leap. Hearing those words being uttered from the lips of this woman would always make them more precious.

Smiling Nicolette tilted Casey’s head, lining up their lips. “With you I feel beautiful,” Nicolette mumbled as their lips lightly touched.

Casey outlined Nicolette’s lips, requesting access to the interior of her mouth. The red wine they’d had for dinner provided a pleasing flavour, enhancing the natural richness that was purely Casey.

Trying to hurry her mate along with their first coupling, Nicolette widened her legs as Casey massaged her inner thighs.

Casey accepted the invitation granted her, nestling against the very core of Nicolette’s pleasure. She fit against her perfectly.

Their lips parted. Moaning, Nicolette brushed her nose against Casey’s skin, inhaling her scent. She wondered how she could have ever lived this long without a daily dose of this scent—her girl mixed with the cocoa butter cream she favoured.

Nicolette’s hands mapped a path along Casey’s shoulders and spine, exploring the soft skin of her back. She marvelled at the feel of Casey’s skin. Her girl had no bony or knobbly parts, only supple skin to grab hold of. Her cute little tummy with its tiny bump excited Nicolette beyond imagining, her body soft and smooth. Made just for me, Nicolette thought.

“You’re absolutely lovely, my Nicolette,” Casey whispered against her lips.

Stroking Casey’s ass cheeks, Nicolette enjoyed the feel of the firm globes. She guided her fingers along the crack, making Casey moan and arch into her touch. Using her fingers, she searched out the rosette at Casey’s back entrance, passing the tips lightly over her discovery.

Oh, the sweet sound of her Casey girl’s delight. Burying her head in Casey’s neck, she began sucking. “Mmm.”

Distracted by Casey’s touch and her own exploration, she didn’t notice the dildo until Casey entered her with it. Biting down suddenly on Casey’s neck, she reflexively thrust her hips, a pinch of pain from the fake cock mixed with the pleasure. Nicolette lapped at the bite marks as Casey paused, waiting for her to adjust.

Slowly but steadily, Casey began entering her again, using shallow thrusts to advance a bit at a time. Nicolette had neglected her own toys for far too long. Her body craved release, milking the dildo as Casey thrust it in and out.

Putting pressure on Casey’s rosette, Nicolette gained access to her anus. So tight, so warm. They began moving together. The steady thrust of Nicolette’s finger and Casey’s dildo in perfect synchronicity with each other. Nicolette was close, her body reaching for the climax Casey’s actions promised.

They slipped and slid against each other, sweat increasing the slickness of their bodies. Suddenly, Casey stopped her hand movements, extricated herself from Nicolette’s arms and pointed her body in the opposite direction. Huffing, Nicolette tried to hold Casey to her.

Amazingly, through all the rearranging the dildo was held securely within Nicolette’s body. Nicolette frowned, pouting as frustration welled up within her. Nicolette’s brow cleared when Casey straddled her again.

Spreading her legs, Casey positioned herself so Nicolette would have easy access to pleasure her. Taking the dildo back in hand, she repeatedly thrust it in and out. Capturing Nicolette’s clit, she sucked it into her mouth, heightening her pleasure. Nicolette arched off the bed, her body in an uproar as Casey brought her closer to her peak.

“More,” Nicolette groaned, causing Casey to chuckle, her breath drifting directly over her moist clit. Restlessness swamped her body as Casey toyed with her. Nicolette’s pussy clenched, her desire spiking and her need for Casey not far behind.

Re-entering the sex play, Nicolette reached one arm around Casey’s thigh inserting a finger in the dark depths of Casey’s hole. She had to pay Casey back for the torture. Plus, Nicolette loved touching her girl. With the other hand, she plunged three fingers within Casey’s vaginal walls.

The double penetration caused Casey to falter in her own ministration and groan her appreciation.

Hmm. Nicolette felt satisfied with her accomplishment. Moving her fingers deeper, Nicolette admired the look of Casey with both her holes plugged. They started pumping in and out, finding the same rhythm, their moans getting louder and more breathy by the minute. Nicolette knew she should be careful. But she couldn’t keep her hips still, grinding against Casey’s mouth and the dildo she used.

She would always have this, always have Casey. And despite her past, Nicolette knew those words to be true. Suddenly, Casey clamped down on Nicolette’s fingers, virtually trapping them within her body. Pride welled up within her. She had done that. She made her girl shatter.

Nicolette orgasmed, finding her own completion along with Casey’s. She was absolutely overwhelmed, her body tingling, little shocks racking her body. She couldn’t even form an incoherent thought, her mind a scatter as her body shattered.

Repositioning herself, Casey lay to the side of Nicolette. She stroked her hands between the valley created by Nicolette’s breasts down to her thatch, periodically tweaking her nipples.

Before they nodded off to sleep, Casey offered up, “Oh, by the way, the answer to your earlier question. For me, I’m a no holes barred kind of girl.”

That night had become a series of firsts in their budding relationship. They’d woken about an hour later, going at it again and again. Nicolette had savoured every touch, relished every stroke as they loved each other to completion.

After their last bout of lovemaking for the night, Casey spooned behind Nicolette. Her back pressed tightly against Casey’s front. Casey propped herself up, elbow on the bed, head resting against her hand as she leaned over Nicolette, nuzzling her neck periodically.

Nicolette was exhausted from all the sex. But wrapped in Casey’s arms, her body strumming with the aftermath of her release, and contentment filling her heart, she thought, what a perfect moment. She never realised there was such a thing until she met Casey. Now she was absolutely sure there was. And just as sure that she and Casey were made for each other.

Nicolette had been relaxed but not sleepy, enjoying Casey’s hand stroking along her side, and smoothing back her hair. Nicolette was content, basking in the afterglow of their love.

  “My Nicolette…” Casey whispered.

“Hmmm,” she responded, burrowing deeper into Casey’s arms.

“How did you get…” her hand stroked across Nicolette’s abdomen, indicating what she referred to. “…this scar?”

Stiffening, Nicolette wondered what she should say. She knew intellectually, logically, she had nothing to be ashamed about. But her cheeks still grew hot, her eyes filling with tears, every time she thought about the attack.

“You don’t have to tell me, if you don’t want to.” Casey’s voice hitched at those words. “Though, I would hope one day you would trust me enough to tell me. I’m here to stay, honey.”

“Yeah.” Nodding, she continued, “yeah, I do.” Taking a deep breath, Nicolette said, “Gabriella Corte...Gabriella and I had been broken up for about two weeks. Stupid me, I thought she had accepted the situation.”

Casey reached for her hand and held it within hers, palm to palm.

  Facing her, Nicolet
te placed her head on Casey’s shoulders, her mind racing with thoughts of the night Gabriella attacked her, jumping from one image to another. Her skin felt clammy and she shivered, feeling suddenly cold.

“Go on,” Casey prompted her, planting a soft kiss to her forehead.

“I’m not sure in what order my injuries occurred. All I know is Gabriella was behind it. She was the one that kicked, the one that sliced me.” Pausing, she remembered each successive kick to the ribs as Gabriella repeated the same words over and over. How could she have been so wrong about Gabriella? She had pursued Gabriella, not the other way around.

“Go on,” Casey urged, tightening her arms around Nicolette.

“While she kicked me,” Nicolette continued, the words pouring out of her, “every kick was punctuated with the statement ‘without me you’re nothing, Nicolette, nothing.’” Gabriella had attempted to drill the words into her, by force if necessary. But Nicolette had already moved on from Gabriella.

  “That bitch,” Casey gasped.

“Exactly,” Nicolette concurred. “I realised at that moment simply breaking off the relationship wasn’t enough, would never be enough with a girl like Gabriella.” She shook her head at her own naiveté. “Especially, not in a town where all the law enforcement officials were related to her.” Nicolette snorted with disgust. She felt stupid for believing otherwise even it had been for a short time.

Nicolette remembered the hopelessness that swamped her. The walls closing in on her when she realised she would never have a life in Arizona. She had felt so lonely. Sadness consumed her as she remembered those long hours in the hospital with no visitors. How could one person be so alone in a town small enough that everyone knew everyone else?

She had decided that if she survived the attack she needed to cut out of town and fast. She wouldn’t make herself a victim, and refused to become a statistic. “I probably should have left right after the break up, but I loved Arizona. Or rather Arizona was all I knew, all I had.”

She hadn’t wanted the hassle of relocating, of getting to know a new town, of meeting new people. She was pleased with herself for her resolve, for taking the steps necessary to leave. During the attack, she’d gotten a brief glimpse of the angry visage of her ex and she knew then said hassle presented the means to her ultimate survival, both physically and emotionally.

“I’m glad, you moved,” Casey said. “What about the scar?” Casey questioned, stroking her hands across the wound. Nicolette fought the urge to cover Casey’s hand.

Nicolette remembered curling her body into the foetal position, trying desperately to protect the wound as much as possible. “She knifed me across the stomach.”

Hissing, Casey stopped stroking, tensing beside her.

Nicolette paused, not sure if she should continue, but wanting to be totally honest with Casey. The wound had hurt like hell. Now it stood out as a reminder of all she’d survived, of how far she’d come.

Casey relaxed slightly and Nicolette took that as her cue to continue.

“I’d bunched up my top, using it as a compress to add pressure to the wound. The pressure hurt like a bitch, but there was nothing else I could do.” She’d retreated into the confines of her mind where Gabriella couldn’t get to her, trying to transcend the pain and the hurt. Closing off her mind, she’d ignored the angry chatter of her attacker.

Nicolette often wondered how she’d been that blind, that naive, to have missed Gabriella’s true nature. She had cared for Gabriella once, thought Gabriella cared for her too. How misguided she’d been, mistaking Gabriella’s own obsession for love. The woman didn’t know how to love anybody. She was a control freak, a paranoid control freak.

“What happened next?” Casey asked, bringing Nicolette back to the present. Nicolette appreciated the effort, she wanted to get the retelling over and done with. She certainly didn’t want to get stuck in that nightmarish experience when she had her girl right next to her.

“The sound of approaching sirens brought me back to the surface of my mind. And to the pain. I must have passed out.” Her entire body had been drenched in sweat and blood. The siren had gotten louder before coming to a halt near her. She’d heard the voices of what she assumed were emergency personnel, exiting the ambulance.

“So you don’t even know if the paramedics arrived before or after Gabriella left,” Casey said through gritted teeth. She was trying really hard to control her anger, but Nicolette could still detect it.

Shaking her head, Nicolette continued. “Before the EMTs even started working on me, blackness enveloped me again. I lost consciousness in the next second.” Thinking back, she knew Gabriella’s attacks would have escalated if she hadn’t left. “Thank God my transfer had been approved. I had contacted my employers the day before the attack requesting a transfer.” Little did she know that her request for a move would be a matter of life or death.

A shudder travelled the length of Casey’s body. “Yeah.” She nodded, only a slight quiver evident in her voice.

“After leaving the hospital, I added the information of the attack to help strengthen my case. Make them aware of the urgency of the situation.” Shaking her head, she continued. “I don’t know what specifically would have happened to me. But I knew it would only have gotten worse.”

  * * * *

After Nicolette had completed the retelling, Casey dragged her even tighter into her body. Nicolette cried long and hard, mourning the experience. She released the despair at picking the wrong mate. The embarrassment of her attack. But most importantly, she released her hold on the past. Casey flipped her on her back, using the pillow case to dry her tears.

“No more, baby. No more wasted tears.” Casey didn’t allow her any more time with her past. “You didn’t deserve any of this.” Taking charge, Casey kissed and licked Nicolette, providing a different outlet for expending her energy. “You’re with me now.”

Casey spent the rest of the night making sure Nicolette believed it. She was loved and worshipped, her body thoroughly explored.

Casey suckled her nipples, the sensation almost painful. Trailing her lips down between Nicolette’s breasts, Casey paid close attention to the scar. Casey moved lower, repeatedly flicking her tongue against Nicolette’s nub, burying her fingers in the warm crevice of Nicolette’s pussy.

  Completion never felt sweeter.

From that moment on, she knew Casey was everything she’d been looking for all her life. Instead of offering her some overused words of regret, she showed her love in a more tactile way. She couldn’t imagine how she’d been foolish enough to think Gabriella could fit the bill.

Gabriella had been a bully. Nicolette had mistaken her earlier behaviour as deep caring. It wasn’t until the accusations and violent outbursts, that she had realised Gabriella’s behaviour was too irrational, too erratic to be anything but obsessive.

She’d tried to break it off a couple of times before, but Gabriella had gone nuts. The last time Nicolette wouldn’t budge on her decision. She couldn’t be swayed by Gabriella’s empty words anymore. She’d known she couldn’t back down.

After that, Nicolette had experienced equal amounts of relief and unease. At every turn, she would notice Gabriella in the crowd. At first, she’d thought she was being paranoid. But on a day trip to a little out of the way town in Utah, she had happened to run across Gabriella.

That’s when she realised, the faces in the crowd hadn’t been happenstance but a deliberate act on her part. She didn’t really understand her former lover’s intent but knew this wouldn’t lead anywhere good for her.

Returning home to Glendale that night, she had accessed the company’s employee website and put in for a transfer. And not a moment too soon either, or rather maybe a little too late. The following night, Gabriella had sent her a message in a way that required a two day stay in the hospital.

In the absence of an official police report, she had submitted her hospital information to her company, hoping to strengthen her cas
e for a transfer. It seemed to have worked too, since she now lived in a nice little townhouse in Florida. Thoughts of Arizona used to hurt so much, but since meeting Casey, since telling her of her past, things had been good.

Especially now. They were going on a nice long weekend getaway to Key West. Nicolette couldn’t wait for the night to end because come morning they would be on their way. Arriving home, Nicolette opened the door to her empty home. Casey would be closing the store tonight, Friday, and reopening it on Monday morning. They planned to head out early Saturday morning.

Deciding Casey would pick her up in the morning, Nicolette would have any empty and cold bed all to herself that night. It would actually make things easier for both of them, but easier didn’t mean better. This was the first time since they met, that a day would pass where she wouldn’t be seeing Casey.

She consoled herself with the thought that she’d be spending a straight 48 hours with her. She had also decided to broach the subject of living together with Casey this weekend. She wanted to wake up beside Casey every morning. She itched to make it happen.

Entering her home, she locked up before making her way upstairs to shower and change. Those tasks completed, she went to make herself a sandwich when her phone began ringing. Smiling, she hurried to answer sure Casey was calling to talk.

“Hi baby, how was your day?” she asked, settling onto one of the bar stools situated at her kitchen counter. She waited for a response, and when none was forthcoming, she said, “Hello?”

“I’ve waited nearly three months for you to greet me so sweetly again, Nicolette,” the voice on the other line said. “My day was really…”

“What do you want, Gabriella?” Nicolette demanded, anger roiling through her. She’d thought that part of her life was over. Things had been going so well between her and Casey. Now Gabriella had resurfaced. Why now? She knew the woman would try everything in her power to make life difficult for Nicolette, then something else occurred to her. “And how’d you find me?”
