“Mhmm,” Skye moaned. “Breakfast sounds good.”

“Sounds like I’m just in time then.”

Sawyer entered with a tray filled with pastries and a carafe of coffee. Rance kissed her temple and lifted her off of him, rolling off the bed and coming easily to his feet. Jeff sat up beside her, patted her on the shoulder and stood up to deal with the condom. Skye was more than ready for food. Between last night and this morning, they’d expended a lot of calories.

She sat up as Sawyer joined her on the bed, putting the tray easily over her lap. With the tray in place, he dropped his lips to her shoulders then trailed them down to suck one of her nipples into his mouth. She moaned and cupped her fingers around his scalp to hold him to her.

“God, maybe I should put some clothes on,” she moaned.

“I think we should keep you naked as long as we can,” Rance said as he and Jeff rejoined them on the bed. Both men had pulled clothes on. Rance wore a pair of lounge pants while Jeff had tugged his low-slung jeans back on.

Sawyer released her nipple with a pop, gave it another slow lick and sat up. “I agree with the naked part,” he agreed.

  “I’ll third that,” Jeff said.

“Ahh, majority rules,” Rance said with a grin.

She laughed. “If I’m naked, you should be, too.”

“That could probably be arranged,” Sawyer said.

She took a pastry from the tray and bit into it, enjoying the taste of chocolate on her tongue. “Mhmm,” she moaned with appreciation.

“What’s on the agenda for today?” Jeff asked, helping himself to a pastry and coffee.

“My day is free,” Skye said. “Remember? I have the next few days off.”

“Now that sounds good,” Rance murmured. “Guess we’re just not used to you taking any time off.”

“What about this asshole you dealt with at the club last night?” Sawyer asked.

Skye shrugged. “My boss is working this weekend and should be handling anything that comes up. I’m guessing if the police need anything, they’ll call. It almost feels like a letdown,” she admitted.

  “How so?” Jeff asked.

“I’ve been watching him since my boss hired him. There was just something about him that made me uneasy.”

“Gut instinct. You should always listen to that,” Rance said.

“I know. But I couldn’t just fire him on my feelings. I had to catch him doing something wrong, and I did. Caught him harassing one of the wait staff, but she wouldn’t give me much to work with. So I warned him. Then last night I caught him with his hands all over her, and she finally gave me the ammo I needed to fire him.”

“So what did he do? You said you broke his nose?” Rance prompted.

  “He charged me.”

“He what?” Sawyer all but roared. “I’ll fucking kill him.”

She laughed. “Then for his sake, I hope he’s still in jail. I knew what I was doing. When he came at me, I managed to use his stupidity and momentum against him. He hit the wall hard, and I’m pretty sure he broke his nose.”

“Serves the bastard right,” Jeff said.

“It really does,” she agreed with a smug smile.

“So how long do you think Deja and Melda will be able to stay away?” Rance asked.

“I told Deja we’d get together on Thursday like we always do,” Skye said.

“I can’t see either of them waiting that long,” Rance countered. “Which means we’ll have to rethink keeping you naked today.”

“I really don’t think…” Skye began when the doorbell rang and kept ringing as if someone was holding it down.

Rance was right. She had little doubt that it was her sisters at the door. She was more than ready to introduce both of them to the two men she’d hidden from them and own up to the fact Rance was more than a friend. She was done with secrets, with hiding. She was ready to have it all.

  Epilogue

Skye sat on the end of the couch with her feet sprawled over the coffee table. Deja was on the other end with her legs tucked up under her, head leaned back and eyes closed. Melda had collapsed somewhere on the floor. Skye could hear her moan but was too tired to search for her.

“What were we thinking?” Deja groaned.

“We weren’t,” Melda said, and her voice suggested she was on the other side of the coffee table. “There’s no way we were thinking.”

“It wasn’t that bad,” Skye countered and laughed as both her sisters groaned.

“I don’t think I can move,” Melda admitted.

Deja had been the one with the bright idea, and much like when they were kids, it hadn’t taken much effort to talk Melda and Skye into jumping in with her. They’d decided to surprise the guys with a weekend trip for the Fourth of July. They’d rented a cabin and come up a few days early to get it ready and stock the fridge.

She’d thought Melda might kill Deja when they saw the state of the cabin. Melda wanted to just burn it down and find something else. But it was in a perfect location, and the guys were excited about a weekend away. Deja’s partners—Asher, Spencer and Beck—were bringing a boat they’d all purchased so they could ski and tube on the lake. Melda’s men—Houston, Cruz and Darius—were bringing jet skis. Rance, Sawyer and Jeff were packing up the grill and supplying all the beer and beef for the weekend.

So the three sisters had driven up and cleaned the cabin from top to bottom. It had taken the entire day. Melda still thought it needed a coat of paint but admitted it was livable now, at least for a few days.

“Deja is no longer allowed to book anything,” Melda muttered, and Skye readily agreed.

“Hey!’ Deja exclaimed. “It’s not my fault. The woman said she hadn’t been here in a while. The location was perfect and…” She paused for dramatic effect. “She said if we liked it, she was looking to sell and would love to chat with us.”

Melda jerked up to a sitting position on the floor. “Really? Oh, my God. There’s so much potential here.”

“I thought you said the best thing to do was just burn it to the ground?” Skye reminded her.

“Well, that was when I thought we were doing all this for someone else to enjoy later, after we left. But to buy this place… The location alone makes it marketable.”

“It would be the perfect place to come for the weekend over the summer. Or a vacation. Hell, any time we wanted to just get away for a while,” Deja said.

“It would give your guys a place to keep their boat and jet skis,” Skye said. “Assuming that big ass storage barn beside the cabin comes with it.”

“It does. I’ve already said something to Asher, Beck and Spencer,” Deja admitted.

“So are you planning to buy it?” Melda asked. “I’d be willing to do whatever I can to help you get it back into great shape. The guys and I can check everything over. Might need a new roof. Check the wiring and stuff.”

Deja sat up and leaned forward. “I was really hoping that we could all think about going in together. Something all of us could share. It’s big enough that we could all be here together or come at separate times. I just…” She trailed off as tears filled her eyes.

Skye sat up immediately as Melda jumped up and moved around the table. She nudged Deja to the middle and sat beside her.

  “What’s wrong?” Skye demanded.

“Nothing,” Deja admitted with a sniffle. “It’s just we’ve all gotten so busy. I thought this would help, by giving us a place to just get away from work and all the chaos.”

“I think it’s a great idea,” Melda agreed.

“What’s going on?” Skye asked again. “I’ve noticed something going on with you for a few weeks now. Spill it, Deja.”

She shocked them by bursting into tears, then switching to laughter at their expressions. Finally, she shrugged and whispered. “I’m pregnant.”

“What?” Skye and Melda shrieked together.

“Oh, my God! How far along are you? Everything good? Baby good? How are t
he guys?”

The questions tumbled out from both Melda and Skye.

“I’m good, great actually except for the huge mood swings,” Deja admitted with a laugh. “I’m about twelve weeks along now. I’m just starting to get a little bump, which you’ll all see when I put my swimsuit on.”

“You were cleaning,” Melda wailed. “You should have said something. All those smells. Did we use anything that was unsafe?”

“No, we didn’t,” Deja said. “I should know since I picked up all the cleaners. And I don’t even have morning sickness. I’m good. Promise.” She slid a hand in Skye’s then one in Melda’s. “This is part of the reason I wanted you two to come up early with me. I wanted the chance to tell you away from everyone else.” She grinned. “I’m having a baby.”

“I wish Mrs. Potts were here,” Skye said and felt tears fill her eyes just as they did her sisters.

  “Me, too,” Melda agreed.

“She’d have a field day with having a grandbaby,” Deja said with a watery laugh.

“It might just be enough to counter the fact we’re all living with multiple men,” Skye admitted.

“I think she’d be more intrigued with the fact we’re sleeping with multiple men,” Melda added.

“I think she’d just be happy for us,” Deja said. “I don’t think she’d care as long as she could see that we were safe and happy, that our men are good to us and love us very much.”

“I think you’re right,” Skye agreed.

  “Yeah.” Melda nodded.

“We need to go baby shopping. Cribs, and clothes, and… Are you going to find out the sex of the baby before you give birth?” Skye asked.

Deja nodded. “I’d drive myself insane not knowing.”

“You’ll need maternity clothes,” Melda said.

“I’ll need both of you more,” Deja said.

“You’ve always got us,” Skye said.

“Everything is so wonderful,” Deja stated with a sigh. “I have the two of you. I have Spencer, Beck and Asher who have only treated me more like a queen since we found out I’m pregnant.” She dropped her hands to cover her belly. “And now we have a baby on the way. I’m so blessed.”

Melda leaned her head on Deja’s shoulder, and Skye wrapped her arm around both of them. They were all blessed. Melda would be getting married in September. Official or not, they had found someone to perform a private ceremony and join Melda to all three of her guys. She would become a Davis. Skye and Deja were both bridesmaids. It was going to be a beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Now Deja was pregnant and would be adding to their family at the beginning of the year. It was enough to make Skye’s heart overflow with happiness and joy. All nine of the guys got along and even did things together outside of the times they got together. Spencer, Houston and Rance were big into basketball. They played at the YMCA every Sunday and had plans to grab season tickets for the local team. Asher, Beck and Jeff played golf every chance they could get. Sawyer, Darius and Cruz were football enthusiasts. They’d all played and still loved to watch and talk about the game. Most importantly, they genuinely liked one another. It might have started out as a way to make their women happy, but they were fast becoming great friends. It was everything Skye had been afraid to hope for.

She, Rance, Sawyer and Jeff were living together now in a new and bigger house they’d found with Melda’s help. They shared a custom-made bed that fit the four of them perfectly. Each of the guys stopped by the club often. Her employees knew they were all her boyfriends. Some were shocked and maybe a little disgusted by it, but surprisingly, most hadn’t cared or had found it pretty cool. She no longer worried about the silly things that seemed so monumental in the beginning. She loved her guys, and they loved her. They were welcome in every aspect of her life.

Marcus was still in jail. He’d made the mistake of going after the waitress once he’d made bail. Luckily, a police officer had been with her doing follow-up questions when Marcus had arrived. As if assaulting her and threatening rape hadn’t been enough, he’d attacked the police officer while trying to get to her. The cop had taken a blow to the face before pinning Marcus down and cuffing him. Skye had said Marcus was stupid. He’d proven her right.

She closed her eyes and gave her sisters a squeeze. “I knew my life was blessed when I got you two for sisters. But now…it’s only getting better.”

Amazing what could happen if you only had the courage and the faith to really take a chance.
