  “Oh?”

“Now don’t go getting jealous, darlin’,” joked Marty.

“I’m not. Again, I just thought it would be nice to welcome her to our town.” She didn’t have to be jealous. The connection that had brought them together made infidelity almost impossible. Besides, they loved her, and she loved them. They renewed that love every night then awoke to a brand-new day together in bed.

“Have you and the other girls formed a Welcome Wagon Committee?”

She couldn’t tell if Jordan was kidding her or not. His attention was glued to the bridle. “No. Nothing official like that.”

Jordan settled Ramrod into his stall. “How about we run you over there? You could grill her for details. We’ll tie her to a chair and shine a harsh light on her while you pummel her with questions.”

She rolled her eyes at his lame attempt at razzing her. “No thanks.” After waiting for them to get their chores done, she’d already thought of another way to keep herself entertained. “Actually, I have another idea.”

As though they could read her mind, all three of them stopped what they were doing and looked up at her.

“You do?” asked Doug. “Are we going to like this idea, or are you going to make us move furniture around again?”

Could they blame her for trying to make their home—her new home—better? Until she could get new furniture, she’d have to make do with what they already owned. It wasn’t an easy thing by any means. Their furnishings consisted of beige, brown, and tan. Not exactly a combination to inspire creative decorating.

“Nope.” She’d waited long enough. Had, in fact, given the idea careful consideration every day since her first night living on the ranch. “It’s time.”

“It’s time?” Jordan closed the stall door then propped his shoulder against it. “Time for what?”

“It’s time for a little shifter love.”

They started toward her. If she hadn’t gotten her hand up fast enough, they would’ve had her on her back, naked and ready to be fucked. Thankfully, it wouldn’t have been the first time.

“Hang on, guys. I’m not talking about just sex. I want more this time.”

“More? As in more what?” Doug’s face scrunched up with confusion. “Aren’t we satisfying you? I mean, if Marty’s letting you down, we can always send him to another room.”

  “Fuck you, man.”

Doug chuckled. “Seriously. What do you mean?’

“I want you to make love to me. You know I always want sex.”

  “But?” asked Jordan.

“But…this time I want you to change me.”

Their hungry gazes fixed on her. Doug dropped the bridle while Marty and Jordan moved closer along with him.

“Are you sure? You can’t undo it once it’s done.”

She caressed Marty’s cheek. “I’m sure. I want to be a werewolf. I want to be like you three.”

“What about kids?” asked Jordan. “We’ve talked about how pregnancy can be rough for female werewolves. You can’t shift after a certain point. Not without endangering the baby.”

“Yeah. Which means no more running once you’re pregnant,” added Doug.

“I know. You’ve explained all of that many times. But just because I want to be changed now doesn’t mean I’ll get pregnant tomorrow.”

“I don’t know, darlin’.” Marty dropped his gaze to his crotch and back up. “I’ve got very determined little swimmers.”

“Shit. Like he’s the only one who could ever get you knocked up.” Doug scoffed then grew serious. “But he’s right. We want to make sure you’re sure.”

  “I’m sure.”

“Then the only question is, who do you want to bite you?” Jordan took her hand. “And don’t say all of us. I’ve heard getting bitten three times can make the transition really hard. Besides, why get bitten more than you have to? Nah, one bite is enough.”

“Hmm. Who do I choose?” She’d given a lot of thought to which man to choose. How could she choose just one of them?

“Me, of course.” Doug stood taller and thrust out his chin, proud and certain. “After all, I’m the oldest.”

Marty coughed into his hand. “Senior.”

“Yeah, senior is right. By four years. Nope. You’re going to have to choose, Shenna.”

“I can’t. So I came up with another idea.”

  “And what’s that?” asked Jordan.

She turned and walked back to the entrance of the barn. “We race. Whoever makes it to the bedroom first is the one who will bite me.”

They took off running, dashing past her so fast she let out a shriek. By the time she’d regained her equilibrium and turned to watch them, they were already pounding up the steps and into the house.

“Hey! Wait for me!” she shouted and waved, knowing it was no use. They were probably already naked and waiting for her. “Hell, you can’t start without me, you know. I’m the one who wants the shifter love.”
