“Bill was so right about this place,” Chuck said as he crammed another barbecue burger into his mouth.

“Are you sure you can tell? That’s like the fifth one you’ve eaten.” I pointed out. Chuck was on a roll as he tried to out-eat one of the locals.

“Mmmmph,” was all Chuck could say as he swallowed it bun and all.

“Now that the fight is over, I have a ton of paperwork to finish. This is supposed to be the new digital FBI,” I said as I filled out another page of the report.

“They lied.” Cat replied as she sat down next to me grabbing a stack of forms.

“Watch out for the sauce. I really don’t want to explain to the Director why everything is all sticky. Can you pass me some of that potato salad?” I pointed to the tub at the end of the table.

We saved Gundi Moon and took care of our rogue hunt in a spectacular way that, as we later learned, scared the living hell out of an entire Were pack. Good service and choice barbecue was just their way of saying thanks and goodbye.

I was forking potato salad onto my plate when Anastasia walked into the restaurant.

Ana doesn’t eat solid food and usually has an aversion to sunlight. So why was she in here?

“You need to turn on the news!” Ana pointed toward the big screen TV.

The waitress came over and tried to find the channel, but was taking too long. I pointed at the screen and said a small spell that grandmother uses all the time. The big screen lit up, and the news was on.

“Breaking news from the tip of Italy. Demons have been sighted on the island of Sicily. In a statement by the Vatican, demon worshipers have allowed a few imps into our world. Italian Special Forces backed up by other select groups are converging on the site of the incident. As our reporters dig deeper into…” I switched off the screen.

“We’ve received a directive from the oversight committee. Drop everything you’re doing and come with me. There’s a plane waiting for us.” Ana handed me a folded sheet of paper.

  Author Notes

That was fun! I hope you enjoyed book seven as much as I enjoyed writing it. This one came out a lot faster than book six did. New year, new plans.

In 2017 my plan was to put out as many Federal Witch books as I could and do a couple of spin-offs.

The Russian Witch series came out of this idea as did the Marcella Cookbooks. Unlike the previous year, in which I wrote more than fifty short stories, I limited my work to specific things. I even stepped out of my normal genres for unusual stories. Dead in Space, and the shorts for the Badger Hole Bar are examples of those. I pulled Mongo out of the main Federal Witch series and created a spin-off just for him. His books are coming this year. Others are as well. Great-great-great grandmother Verity will have her own series of books. As will the Mer sisters. I’ve mentioned them four or five times now.

It won’t all be spin-offs this year. The next sub-arc of the Federal Witch series books involves the Arcane Corps and Agatha’s support role. I’ve been building up to the Arcane group since Darkness Revealed. They are a fly in the ointment, the ghosts in the machine and they are a human run organization with one goal. Saving the planet, one threat at a time. In this case, it’s Demons. And we get to see Agatha and her team in a different kind of action. Don’t worry it will all make sense soon. At the moment it’s just sloshing around inside my head.

Remember Jack Dalton? He’s not the guy chasing after MacGyver who secretly wants to run his own CSI lab. That’s a different guy altogether. No relation. Jack is the first and only previous member of the Magical Division. He’s Agatha’s trainer and mentor. But how did he get started in the FBI? Starting in February 2018 we will find out. Jack Dalton, Monster Hunter, is starting up. It will be a serial with a twist. This short book series will be available from more sites than just Amazon, and one day a month it will be Free. That’s right, I said Free.

My plan is to publish the short books, complete with covers like I always do. Then on THIRD WEDNESDAY of every month, the story can be read for free on my website. It will only be available on that day for reading. All others will have to purchase it in ebook form. More details will follow concerning this, but it’s going to be so much fun!

So all this new stuff and I haven’t even mentioned my Co-writers! I now have four. Count them, four. Bradford Bates should be handing me his manuscript for the Wild Hunt sometime this month. Taki Drake has a sequel in the Familiar Magic series as well as Coven Codex the next in the Standard of Honor series coming soon. And they are joined by two more writers as well. Nathan Howe, another member of Phoenix Prime, is starting a series set inside the Athena Lee Universe called Smuggle Life. Book one of that series is already available. It’s called Double Cross. Nathan has six books planned in the series already! Freddie Kim is also joining me to work on more books in the Athena Lee series.

I even, somehow, found time to work on a few secret projects. One of which might be a completely new Universe and new series! On that, you will have to wait and find out.

I’m like the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. I’m late, I’m late. Watch the website, Facebook, and the New Fans of the Federal Witch Facebook group for more information and fun things.

As always I can be found on Goodreads, Book Bub, and Amazon.

  Thank to all of you.

  Author Introduction – TS Paul

I’m now into my second year as a published author. With over 25 works under my belt already my pace is relentless. Writing was never a goal of mine growing up. I really did fall into this accidentally. My wife and family knew of my love of books and urged me to try writing. It wasn’t until an author i befriended gave me a short push off a long pier that i really gave it a go. And what a go that was!

Athena Lee and Agatha Blackmore have given way to over 50 short stories. I write a lot. The future is in books and I’m in it for the long haul. Keep your eyes peeled for new and exciting things coming from me this year. Don’t forget to check the Blog every week for a new Wilson or Fergus story.

I welcome comments and questions on my blog. Follow me on Facebook or visit my Amazon author page. I have an author page with BookBub too.

  I’m excited, are you?
