“And you think I can be that?” Logan tried to pull her hand free of his grasp, but he wouldn’t let her.

“I’m trying to see that now. Slide me your number.”

Logan looked over at East, who was standing next to the man and watching at her. She was smiling, and clearly not paying Jackson’s friend any attention. He was still next to her, but he too was watching Logan and Jackson. Their eyes made her nervous, East’s more than anything because she didn’t want her to think she was a bad person for talking to another man while she had Yeshi. But, Yeshi wasn’t necessarily trying to make her an honest woman, so she wouldn’t hold her breath.

  “Okay, you can have it.”

Jackson removed his phone from his pocket and handed it to her. Logan programmed her number before handing it back to him and trying to pull her hand away again. This time, instead of just gripping it tighter, he pulled her all the way to him. Logan didn’t put up too much of a fight and was glad she hadn’t. Jackson hugged her snuggly as if they’d known each other forever, and it felt sinful. When he released her, he smiled and winked before taking steps back.

“I’ma hit you up. Answer for me.”

  Logan smiled bashfully. “I will.”

  “Later, gorgeous.”

Logan waved and walked back to East’s car while Jackson got back in the truck and closed the door. She was closing her door when she heard East talking to the man again.

  “Thanks for the gas.”

“It ain’t no thing,” he told her and left.

The moment East was in the car with her door closed, she screamed. “Bitchhhhhh!”

Logan snickered and watched East dramatically fan herself.

“You are one lucky ass, do you hear me?” East cranked her car up. “Niggas that fine make me miss my single days. He was fine a fuck, Logan.”

“He was fine. I almost didn’t know what to do with myself.”

“Oh nah, hoe, don’t act shy now. You were handling that nigga just fine. You like to act all innocent and shy, but I bet you’re something else. It’s always the quiet ones you have to watch.”

“What?” Logan’s half excited, half shocked squeal betrayed her. “I am not. I’m a good girl.”

“Um huh.” East waved her off. “Tell that to them niggas. I know better. You were cheesing hard and talking low. That’s sneaky bitch stuff.”

Logan snickered without taking offense to East calling her out of her name. She was the only person in the whole world who Logan allowed to do it because she knew it was all love. She’d noticed from the first conversation she’d ever had with East that it was just who she was, so she went with it.

“Truuuueee.” Logan laughed. “I mean, I’m not sneaky like you’re saying, but I do have fun, and I do know how to entertain a man.”

“Baby, you ain’t got to tell me. I can see that for myself. You had Mr. Jackson smiling just as hard as you.”

“I kind of feel bad because I have Yeshi. We’re not really official or nothing, but I feel like he’s my man.”

“Look, don’t you feel guilty about having fun. You’re single, and if Yeshi wanted to change that, he would have by now. I can understand that he has issues, but you can’t put your life on hold for no nigga. Talk to both of them, and whoever moves the fastest wins.” East shrugged, and the car went quiet. “Yeshi is a really good dude, and I think you would be perfect for him. He just needs some time. Don’t give up on him.” East shook her head and sighed before looking at Logan and shaking her head again. “I guess all I’m trying to say is, don’t give up on yourself either. Men will string you along as long as you let them. You and Yeshi have a good thing going, and I’m sure it’ll only get better with time, but don’t feel like you’re bound to him, because you’re not.”

Logan nodded her understanding as she listened to East. She’d stepped into big sister mode as she sometimes did, and Logan appreciated it every time. She’d never had one growing up, and now that her mother was gone, she lacked good female advisory.

  “What if Yeshi finds out?”

  “Just make sure he doesn’t.”

“He’s always in my space, so that might be impossible.”

East’s head shook. “Women are smart. It’s not impossible. Just be careful.”

Logan looked out of the window and thought about Jackson and Yeshi. Both were very handsome men who she could see herself with, but Yeshi had a piece of her heart, so that’s where she would remain until circumstances permitted otherwise.

“Would you ever cheat on Killian?” Logan’s question came out of nowhere.

“Hell no. Killian would beat my ass.”

  Logan giggled.

“Besides, he doesn’t give me a reason to. Killian is me, and I love him to death. He’s done more for me than any other man I’ve ever been with. The way he treats me doesn’t allow me time to even think about another man. Plus, with the type of person he is, he wouldn’t be able to handle it. Kill likes to put up this hard façade like nothing bothers him, but he’s really easily stirred up. If he found out I slept with another nigga, he’d be crushed, and I can’t and won’t do that to my baby.”

Logan swooned at the endearing tone East used when speaking of Killian. “I want to feel that way about someone.”

East smiled and touched Logan’s leg. “You will, baby girl, just be patient and make sure it’s the right person.”

“Yeshi?” His name was a daring question for East to answer.

“Definitely. He’s the same if not worse than Killian. The only difference is, he may not be as sensitive as Killian. Yeshi is a little rougher on the inside. He means the stuff he says and does. You cheat on that nigga, and he’ll probably just cheat back and tell you it was your fault.”

East laughed first, and the more Logan thought about it, she had to laugh too. East was right. That sounded just like Yeshi.

“You’re right, but he’s still so weird. Some days he acts like he can’t breathe without me, and the next I see him looking at other women.”

“He’s just a nasty nigga. He’ll probably forever look at other bitches, so don’t take that too personal. The breathing part, I’m sure is true. I’ve seen it in him. He likes you a lot; he’s just never been trained. You need to train that nigga then he’ll be alright.”

  “What you mean train him?”

“Train him to be what you want him to be, like a dog.” East snickered.

  “How do I do that?”

“Say what you mean and mean what you say. If he strays, punish his ass.”

  “How?”

East looked from the road over to Logan. “You’re getting on my damn nerves now, acting slow.”

Logan chuckled and playfully pushed East’s arm.

“You just met Jackson, use him to your advantage. You want Yeshi to commit and act like he has some sense, show him you won’t take his shit and you have the options to move on.” East held her hand up. “And before your baby ass asks me how to do that, I don’t know. You just have to figure it out.”

Logan was still somewhat lost, but she somewhat understood as well. She took East’s advice to heart and nodded. East was right, Yeshi was definitely untamed, but she had confidence in her ability to change that.

  6. Yeah…Yeah…Oh Yeah!

“Yeah Yeah” blasted through the walls of the club as Yeshi, Killian, Logan, Onyx, Gabrion, Jaylen, and East all sat in the large section on the second floor of the large club. Smoke and lust filled the air as the partiers danced, drank, and passed around various blunts of herbal substances. The building was semi-dark with flashing lights circulating around the room while the entire upstairs part of the building was illuminated with a red light.

The crew hadn’t been there any longer than thirty minutes, and Logan was already ready to go. All the people dancing and gyrating all over each other meshed with the loud music, and clouds of smoke suffocating her, Logan felt like she was in hell. The club wasn’t as hot as she would think hell was, but everyth
ing else about the club literally made her visualize hell.

Though she’d never been there, she assumed that was what it would be like. Versus having fun singing and dancing with the other women in their section, she’d been glued to her seat, afraid to move. Everyone around her looked to be having a ball, especially Yeshi, and that part she loved, but everything else about the scene was too much for her, and she’d be more than happy when it was time to go.

“What you sitting over here looking so scared for?” Yeshi’s voice caught her attention.

“I’m scared the rapture is going to come while I’m here.”

Yeshi’s face was straight as he stared at her like she couldn’t be serious before his sexy smiled appeared and took over his entire face.

“Chill out.” He laughed. “God is not coming back tonight.”

“No man knows the day nor the hour, so don’t say that,” Logan told him truthfully.

She may have sounded like a whole fool right then, but she didn’t care. She took her faith seriously, and her mind hadn’t taken a rest since she stepped into the club, which was one of the main reasons why she’d stopped going out in the past. She could never fully enjoy herself.

“Maybe if you would get up and interact with your people, you could take your mind off disappointing Jesus for five minutes.” His large hand rubbed up the inside of her thigh and stopped just before getting too far. “Come dance with me.”

Yeshi stood and held his hand out to her. Logan took it and stood to her feet. She pulled her dress down some and followed him toward the front of the section where the large banister served as support for her friends and their drinks. They were all leaning on it and doing various things. Gabrion was holding a bottle of liquor in his hand and drinking it straight, East was bent over with her butt grinding against Killian seductively while Jaylen and Onyx stood hugged up and looking over the bar together.

The spaced that she’d just filled was between Gabrion and Killian, leaving just enough room for her and Yeshi. With one of his hands on her waist, Yeshi pressed against her backside roughly as the song changed to “Or Nah.” That was one of her favorite songs, so she had no problem dancing with Yeshi to it.

“Come on, make me take my mind off these bottles being passed around me.”

Logan shot him a smile over her shoulder before she began to move her body smoothly with his. His hands slid further around her body, holding onto her for support as her large hips worked him over. She could tell by the way he gripped her waist that he was enjoying her.

“Check out li’l Lo-Lo.” Gabrion chuckled before taking another sip from his bottle of brown liquor.

“Getting that shit, ain’t she?” Yeshi hyped her up.

Logan smiled but didn’t stop dancing. All she wanted to focus on right then was Yeshi because if she let her mind go too far left, she’d surely end up right back in the same place she’d been all night.

“You gon’ let me slide up in you tonight?” Yeshi pulled her up so that her back was to his chest when his hand grabbed the front of her throat. “I want to choke you while you take the dick.” He pecked the side of her face. “You gon’ let me do that?”

Logan shrugged before resting her hand on his. “I don’t know. That’s stuff my husband would do.”

Yeshi frowned at her but nodded anyway and removed his hand from her neck. Logan wanted to say something, but she wouldn’t. He could pout if he wanted to. They had a difference of opinion when it came to sex, but she felt just as strongly about hers as he did about his. If they had to bump heads, then so be it. She’d been giving up her right for his wrongs for too long, and like East said, he needed to be trained. She meant what she said, and she was sticking to it. He wouldn’t keep sexing her like they were married when they weren’t.

  “Bitchhhhhhh!”

Logan’s head turned toward the loud scream. Her eyes found a breathtaking woman in a black mini skirt and bra. She was dark skinned with bright eyes. They were wide and rounded but looked beautiful against her skin tone. She had long hair hanging down with some up in a sleek ponytail and a pair of sexy, red boots that tied up to her thigh.

  “Heyyyyyy!” East screamed next.

“It’s about time you got here!” Jaylen chimed in behind her.

Logan wasn’t sure who the girl was or how East and Jaylen knew her, but she smiled anyway. They all looked genuinely happy to see each other, which in turn made her happy as well.

“Jerian? What are you doing here?” East questioned while holding the girl’s hand up so that she could admire her.

“Surprise, hoe.” She smiled back before winking at Killian. “My brother-in-law told me that your bitch ass baby daddy keeps harassing you, so I came to take him his damn baby back.”

East’s eyes rolled. “Girl, I hate him.”

“Me too, but whatever. Fuck him.” Jerian followed East and Jaylen further into the club then went straight to Killian and hugged him.

“Jerian, this is Logan. Logan, this is my sister, Jerian.”

“Hello, beautiful.” Logan leaned in for a hug, and Jerian squeezed her tightly before looking around the section at the men.

“Introduce me to these men, honey.”

All of the women laughed except Logan. She actually backed up a little further into Yeshi’s lap possessively. His arm circled her neck, and he kissed the side of her face a few times, putting her mind at ease.

“You already know Kill and Onyx. This is Yeshi, and that’s Gabrion’s drunk ass.”

Jerian’s eyes went from Yeshi to Gabrion, and she smiled and waved. “Hey, y’all.”

“What’s good, shorty?” Yeshi greeted while Gabrion winked at her with a sly smile on his face.

Logan’s body grew hot when Yeshi addressed Jerian with the pet name he’d given her. True enough, it wasn’t anything too personal, but it was still hers. How dare he call another female the same thing he called her? As bad as she wanted to remain cool, she couldn’t fight the jealousy rising in her. It got so bad so fast that she pulled away from him and walked toward the chair she’d been sitting in earlier.

She felt his hand when he tried to grab hers, but she ignored it and kept her stride. By the time he got to her, she was already seated and crossing her legs.

“What’s wrong with you? Why you walk away from me like that?”

Logan rolled her eyes. “I’m straight.”

“No, you ain’t. tell me what’s up.”

  “Nothing.”

Yeshi looked at her like he didn’t believe her, but he’d be fine. She wasn’t going to address it right then because it was petty, but she needed a minute to cool down. Which she wouldn’t have a chance to do with the way Yeshi kept staring at her.

  “What?” she half yelled.

When he smirked, all bets were lost. He was so fine, and she liked him too much. “Who you yelling at?”

“Don’t talk to me. Go talk to your other shorty.” Logan pouted with her arms crossed over her chest.

Yeshi’s smile alone would send her to hell if she didn’t get her mind right. It was so disarming, and she couldn’t even fight off the one she expressed to match his.

“Aww shit, my baby jealous.” He grabbed her hand and pulled her to him, scooting back in his chair as she came.

When Logan was comfortable in his lap, Yeshi’s hand rubbed up and down her back. “Tell me why you jealous. I ain’t do shit but speak to the girl.”

  “You called her shorty.”

He nodded, and his smile grew. “You don’t like me calling other women shorty?”

She shook her head, giving him the same pout that she’d been giving him since Jerian brought her pretty self into their section.

“Aight. My bad, shorty.” He pinched her stomach, and she smiled. “Let’s kiss and make up.”

Logan side eyed him before leaning over and kissing his mouth. Yeshi being Yeshi had to spice it up and slide his hand beneath her dress. Normally, she wouldn’t have let him do that, but
since she was happy to have his attention back on her, she allowed it. Their kiss and the tips of his fingers ignited tingles down her spine as their tongues danced.

“Can y’all quit this shit?” Gabrion chuckled while filling his cup with more ice.

Logan hid her face in Yeshi’s neck while his hand moved to the top of her thigh and squeezed it. “My fault.”

“Hell yeah, it’s y’all fault. Take that shit somewhere else.”

Logan giggled into Yeshi’s neck, and he squeezed her thigh tighter. She wasn’t sure why until he turned his head toward her and whispered against her chin.

  “Don’t play with my neck.”

“Why not?” Logan asked before darting her tongue out along his neck.

Another firm squeeze to her thigh paused her.

  “Behave.”

Clearly, it turned him on, so if he thought she was about to stop, then he had her sadly mistaken. Her sudden need to mark her territory surfaced, and she licked his neck again.

“Don’t fuck with me. You ain’t ready to handle this shit.”

“Yes, I am,” Logan heard herself say.

“You keep licking my neck, and I’ma slide in right here, so stop before you make me mad.”

Logan shied away and lifted her head. She wouldn’t dare do anything like that, so she stopped teasing. Besides, the tone of his voice let her know that he would do exactly what he’d just said he would. When she was back upright in his lap, she found his eyes on her. He was staring her down and making her body yearn. Yeshi made it so hard to please God. He was such a temptation.

“Stick to what you’re ready for.” He rubbed the pad of his thumb over her bottom lip.

How could something so offensive sound so sexy? There, in his normally blunt manner, Yeshi had insulted her sexual experience. She really hated to love it, but she did.

“Damn, everybody coupled off,” Jerian spoke loudly while she and East made themselves comfortable.

Killian had also made himself comfortable on the sofa next to Yeshi and Logan. East was on the arm of the sofa next to him with her arm around his neck and his around her waist.

“Not me.” Gabrion smiled at her.
