She didn’t care. Whatever passion Laurent had ignited, she needed to explore. With him.

They passed out of the commercial area and into the residential neighborhoods, reaching his home a few minutes later.

She looked at his home and gaped. Being a celebrity, she expected something in a private, gated community. But his home sat in the middle of the block with a lot no larger than her parents. The home itself was a traditional two-story colonial, painted in solid white. Four windows lined the second floor with the first floor having a full porch crossing the entire home. A pair of recliners with a single table and a chair swing looking out over the street completed the furnishings. For a brief moment she wondered if he lived with his parents.

She felt her skin tingle and turned to see him watching her.

“It’s not what you expected, is it?” he asked.

  She shook her head.

“When I was growing up, my parents both needed to work, so my grandma took care of me. She taught me everything I knew about cooking and how to really love food. She had a house with a porch like this,” he said. He paused, looking away and she though his eyes looked slightly moister then they did a moment before. “She got cheated by a banker a few years back and lost her home to foreclosure. My parents had downsized and didn’t have any extra room. They couldn’t take care of her. So when I saw this house I knew it had to be mine, and she could come live with me. I grew up in Mississippi, and this was the closest I could find that was just like her old home. I wanted her to feel comfortable. She even gave me her porch furniture.”

Sara’s heart broke in emotion as she listened and she touched his arm. “She’s lucky to have a grandson like you,” she said. “If she’s resting, then I don’t want to bother her or anything.”

Laurent closed his eyes briefly and he forced a smile. Then he turned to face her. “She saw pictures of it, but she passed away before I got the deed. I still bought it. It makes me feel like I’m at home.”

“Feeling at home is good,” she said, her heart twisting in a warm and unexpected way. She saw a flash in his eyes. Then he opened the gate, and rushed her to the door without another word. Quickly entering, they moved into the foyer. Before the door finished closing he had already picked her up in his arms and held her to his chest. He moved through the living room, down a hallway, and into his bedroom.

Sara’s head spun as Laurent laid her down on his bed. From the unwavering way he stood by her in public, to the obvious love in his voice when he spoke about his grandmother, nothing about him had gone the way she expected. Another piece of her heart broke off for him outside his home and she didn’t know how deep she’d end up falling before they said goodbye.

But that didn’t matter now. All she thought about was pleasing this man, who had opened up her kinky side. She sat up in the bed as Laurent took off his shirt.

  “Is something wrong?” he asked.

A wicked grin crossed her face. She thought back to all the times Alicia had given her the unwanted details of her latest conquest. Now that’d she’d already crossed the line into quickly having sex, there was one thing that Alicia always said turned a man on — when the lady took control.

Her sex life never had much control. No man had ever pressured her into unwilling sex, and she always called the shots on how quickly the first encounter occurred. But once she was in bed, her lover led the way. Not one of her lovers had ever relinquished control of their lovemaking. All she had to show for that restraint were memories of mediocre missionary position sex, with an occasional doggie style thrown in for his amusement, not hers.

“Lie down on the bed and hand me your shirt,” she said. She spoke in her authoritative, consultant voice, and it projected more confidence than she actually felt. If he said no, then she’d just go along with whatever he wanted. But she silently prayed that he would play along; so she could do for him what he did for her.

A flicker of doubt crossed his eyes, before his mouth ticked up. He handed his shirt to her and lay on the bed.

She breathed deeply. Keep acting like you know what you’re doing and you’ll be fine, she thought. If she broke from her focused mindset for an instant, then she knew she’d break down trembling at the idea of what she intended to do.

He waited for her to make another move and she walked up to his near his face. “Put your hands over your head,” she said. He complied immediately, lust in his eyes. She started tying his hands together with his shirt, and then to the headboard.

She walked around the room to the windows and adjusted the shades, until just the right amount of light came into the room, and shined on her body. The she took out her iPod and started playing some instrumental music she had. She hoped the tempo held enough energy to get his heart racing. Then at the foot of the bed, her body moved. Like a ballerina, she twirled and dipped, each time making sure he had a view of all the places she wanted him to see.

The bulge in his pants grew to the size of a small mountain and he pulled against the restraint on the headboard. She didn’t know how to tie a good knot. If he tried, he could manage to free himself, but he didn’t and she continued her show.

Her own heart raced as she unbuttoned her blouse and squeezed her breasts together. Years ago, she had meekly offered to do a striptease for her then boyfriend. He had turned her down, saying how he didn’t think he could stomach so much jiggling. They had already dated for a year, so she never considered it to be kinky, but she had never offered anything like it before or since. Until now.

Sweat beaded up on Laurent’s brow as she continued dancing whatever moves came to mind. She had no master plan to anything she did. Some of her moves came from watching TV, others from ballet classes she had as a teen. The only thing that mattered was Laurent’s reaction. She smiled watching him pull against the headboard. His pants shook slightly and she knew his cock was throbbing, desperate for release.

“Sara,” said Laurent, his voice low like a growl. She had a plan for his release, but she wasn’t ready to give it to him yet. She slipped off her skirt and lifted her bra over her head. Laurent’s hips moved as she tweaked her own nipples.

Her own sex throbbed with need. Every desire and fantasy that she fulfilled for Laurent, she felt just as strongly. She would come with the slightest touch between her legs, and she fought the urge to untie Laurent so he could please her.

He struggled against the bonds more strongly, his restraint starting to come loose. She needed to move things along more quickly, or he’d free himself, and deny her the chance of really pleasing him.

With a swift move, she slipped her panties off and moved her hands to cup his cock. He stilled his movement. The hunger in his eyes burned uncontrollably, and she leaned over to offer his mouth one of her breasts, while her hands undid his belt and zipper. She moaned as he sucked on her nipple, but pulled away when her hand freed his shaft.

She was falling for him. As unlikely as it seemed, having known him for only a few hours, it was true. And he’d let her go today, or tomorrow, at the latest. But before he did, she wanted to show him why she was the only woman he’d ever need to love him again. Forever.

She gripped him tightly and he tried to thrust in her hands until she placed one of her own hands on his stomach. He stopped moving and she repositioned herself to run her tongue along the underside of his cock. An almost animalistic growl escaped him when she bit the tip, and she plunged down on him.

One hand remained on his stomach while she placed the other on his thigh. The rhythmic motion of her head moved his cock in and out of her mouth. The tension in his muscles was immense. He was on the edge, ready to explode any moment. His breath came in rasps.

She pulled up only to plunge down on him again. This time, she let her teeth rake his skin until he was completely inside her mouth, and his control broke. The roar pierced her ears and he thrust into her mouth. If she hadn’t been expecting it, he might have choked her, but she did, and it was what she wanted him to do. To los
e a little control with her like she’d lost with him. He bucked a few more time, each thrust spilling more of his seed.

Then when his body slowed, she moved her hands down to his balls, and started massaging him. His muscles tensed again, and his cock stayed firm inside her mouth as she swirled her tongue around the tip.

He twisted under her. “Sara, I can’t. It’s too soon,” he said.

She ignored him and squeezed his balls again. A tremble moved through his body. Laurent edged closer to another orgasm, and she knew exactly how she wanted to make him come. She stood and pivoted to the nightstand next to his bed and opened the drawer. A box of condoms sat inside next to a few books. She unwrapped one and rolled it onto him.

“My hands,” said Laurent. She smiled and straddled him, sliding his cock slowly into her pussy. A wave of pleasure shot straight up her spine as he pierced her and she dropped her chest over his face, pushing one her breast into his mouth.

He sucked on her nipple and pulled hard at his restraints. Her body moved up and down on his shaft to match his own thrusting. Pressure built inside her body and she held back the rising tide of pleasure. His hips bucked strongly and she moved her hands up over his head to undo the knot holding him.

The second his hand were free, he grabbed her hips and flipped her over so she was on her back. He surged into her. Sweat dripped from his forehead onto her breasts and the fire in his eyes seared her skin. She pulled him in for a kiss and then with one final, powerful thrust they came apart. He bucked into her, two, three, four times, and then went still. They held onto their kiss a minute more until he rolled off to her side, both of their chests heaving, their bodies spent.

Laurent stared at the ceiling. The spasms in his muscles hadn’t subsided as he pulled Sara into his arms, nestling her head on his chest. She snuggled against him, like it was the most natural place for her to be, and closed her eyes. Her breathing slowed and the quakes in his body slowly ended.

He had brought her back to his home for sex, but never in all his years had any woman ever done that to him before. Multiple orgasms weren’t new to him, but one coming so fast on the heels of the one before had never happened. On a good night he needed at least ten to fifteen minutes before he felt confident enough to preform again. But Sara had ignored what he thought was the basic recuperation needs of any man, and drove him into two consecutive orgasms more intense than any he had had since he was a teen looking for his first pussy.

Then the light bondage and show she’d put on for him. At the restaurant, when he pegged her as a bit repressed, he never expected that she would come at him like she did. Even as she danced, and he held back his urge to tear out of his binding, he saw the doubt and fear etched in her face. Dancing for him had been incredibly difficult for her, and he loved how she moved past that insecurity for him.

She really was an angel sent to him, and he intended to do everything he could to show that to her. He didn’t want her to leave. Somehow he needed to convince her that staying with him in New Orleans was the right thing to do. He stroked her hair and watched as her breathing quieted further and he knew she had fallen asleep. As gently as he could, he pulled the covers over both of them. For all the show of her being a businesswoman, and for all the crazy sex they’d had, something weighed her down emotionally. She needed this rest as much as anything. He let her sleep and he closed his eyes while keeping her nestled against his chest.

  Chapter 17

Warmth wrapped around her. A hard mass lay against her back and her eyes fluttered open to the view of Laurent’s bedroom. Memories came flooding back as she remembered what happened after she went to see him at his restaurant. Mind blowing sex and then she’d fallen asleep.

Her body lay curled up against him. She felt his breath tickle the back of her neck. His arm draped across her stomach, holding her gently. He hadn’t moved or disturbed her since she went to sleep. She tried moving his arm to get out of bed, but she stopped when he stirred.

Everything that had happened shocked and frightened her. How had she lost control so quickly and easily with him? The idea that she had started falling in love with him was so self-destructive, but she had. She could talk it out with herself later. Now she had to leave before he woke and she ended up falling deeper. As long as he slept, then he couldn’t charm her with his rich voice and disarming manner. She could get up, get dressed, and get back to the hotel before he ever realized that she’d left. Then he couldn’t break her heart. She’d do it to herself.

There was still the matter of dinner tonight, when he could corner her again, and with her sisters as witnesses, but she could solve that too. It was never going to happen. Whatever protests Alicia gave, she’d ignore, and they’d just go somewhere else to eat for their first sister’s night out together.

She needed to be quick or he’d wake. One. Two…

“Gumbo,” he said and her blood froze. His hand moved from her stomach, cupped a breast and she relaxed into his chest.

  “What?” she asked.

“Tonight for dinner with your sisters. You should have our gumbo. I make the best in New Orleans,” he said and then he moved her around to face him.

She looked up in his eyes, warm and caring, and she realized that she could never leave his home because she was home. In a single afternoon he’d snuck past every fence that she had erected and stolen her heart. She was the fool for allowing it, because he’d toss her aside when he was done with her.

“Gumbo sounds great,” she said, knowing she had lost her battle to resist him. “I should probably get back to my sisters so they know I’ve made dinner plans.”

Laurent moved his body over her and kissed her. “Of course,” he said. “But not just yet.” And then his slid down under the covers and she arched her back with a moan the instant his tongue lapped at her sex.

Laurent hustled into Le Soul with Sara at his side. She hadn’t had time to actually go back to the hotel. When they had finished their third round of lovemaking, they had checked the time. They had slept over six hours and it was already early evening. Sara had called both her sisters, but neither of them picked up. So she did the next best thing, she left messages for each of them, and prayed that they had taken the initiative to come to the restaurant on their own.

He blamed himself. His overriding goal to keep Sara with him for the day had delayed her attempts to contact her sisters and give them dinner details.

A small crowd had already formed at the restaurant and the host greeted him as he entered. “Hey boss. Jullian’s looking for you in the kitchen.”

Laurent forced a smile. He expected that. When he met Sara, he had gotten out of the restaurant so quickly that he’d left his phone in the office. No one had any idea how to reach him without it. While he was with Sara, he preferred it that way, but now he had to catch up with anything he missed over the last few hours.

“I’ll get right back there,” he said, motioning to Sara. “This is Sara Canning. She’ll be in room two tonight with two guests. But I’m going to give her a kitchen tour first.”

The host and Sara shook hands, Sara looking slightly embarrassed. “I’ll get the room ready right away,” said the host grabbing some menus and heading off.

“I thought we agreed that we would eat in the main dining area since there are three of us,” she said.

Laurent smiled and touched his hand to her back. The questioning look on her face melted away and they headed to the kitchen.

“I think you’ll like my staff,” he said, holding the door open for her.

“Jullian,” he called out, and his sous chef popped his head out from behind a counter. Jullian wiped his hands clean, and then walked up to Sara. “Are you the reason my boss has been AWOL all day?” he asked, a bigger smile on his face than Laurent cared to see.

“Sorry if I kept him from important work,” she said.

“Nothing I couldn’t handle on my own,” he said. Then he looked over at Laurent, before adding. “Except the t
ourist bureau.”

Laurent’s eyebrows went up a notch. “What have they been calling for?”

Jullian snorted. “Pictures. What else? I’m surprised they aren’t here by now.”

Laurent felt Sara tense up beside him. “Do we really have to do the photos?” she asked.

“The tourist bureau likes to take photos of all the contest winners for their monthly newsletter,” he said. He cursed himself for not reminding her and not giving her time to get some clothes that were less formal. “I hope it’s not a problem for you or your sisters.”

“No, it’ll be fine. I should have remembered,” she said.

Jullian moved an inch closer to Sara. “For a beautiful woman like you, the camera will fall in love. But if you have any problems, then I’m sure Laurent will deal with them for you,” he said and then smiled again. “And if he doesn’t then you just come to me and I’ll will and show you how a woman like you should be treated.”

Sara gave a forced laugh. Laurent felt the air from the room suck out; Jullian looked quickly back and forth between the Sara and Laurent.

“Or maybe I should just get back to my order before Laurent decides love is greater than friendship and fires me,” he said.

“It is,” said Laurent, lips thin.

Jullian threw his hands up. “Don’t worry about me boss, I’ve always got your back,” he said walking back to his station. The other chefs in the room looked on in shock and Jullian waved them all back to work, then he looked back to Sara. “I never got your name,” he said.

  “Sara,” said Laurent.

“I’m sure they’ll be here any minute,” said Sara to the photographer. Sara checked her phone for the tenth time in five minutes, but no new messages, from either Alicia or Erica, had shown up. Normally she would be worried that neither of her sisters were answering her calls. But once she finally got ahold of them, they’d call her out on her own behavior, disappearing for an entire day. She wanted to delay that conversation for as long as possible.
