“Inside. You can see to his injuries, and then mine,” he said.

I huffed in annoyance. I followed him to the sidelines.

“Brad, fuck, you all right?” Trevor said.

“It’s all right. I got this. I am going to see to his injuries inside. Continue to watch the practice,” I said to Trevor and Captain James. They were both standing on guard. But what could they do? What could any of us do? We were surrounded by Zenkian soldiers, and they had us at their mercy. I looked at Rangellis.

Rangellis smiled and said, “Good. Good work, human man. You blocked some good blows there.”

I could hear a few of the Zenkian soldiers laugh. This was ridiculous. I knew Rangellis was making a point of showing just how weak we humans were against them, but why? What was this leader up to?

The whistle blew, and the soldiers began another round as Brad and Evlon and I went inside.

Once inside, I helped Brad take off his space suit and I set him into an ice bath to stop any inflammation. He was kind of dazed and out of it because of the pain. I looked over at Evlon. I thought he would have another stupid grin on his face, but he did not. In fact, I saw his jaw flinch as I helped Brad. It seemed like he was pissed off at me. I think he was jealous of me touching Brad. He was so frustrating. I didn’t care what he thought. He had hurt my pilot on purpose.

  “The pain…” Brad moaned.

I looked at Evlon. “Evlon, can we give him something for the pain?” I asked.

“Yes,” he answered. He moved to a cabinet and opened it. He pulled out a glowing yellow liquid.

  “What is that?”

“It is a liquid drug called Taq. It will take his pain away,” he said.

He poured some into a cup and handed it to me.

  “Does he drink it all?”

“Yes,” he nodded. “But only a small sip right now and then wait to give him the rest until he is on the table because it will make him weak and sluggish. He will not get out of the bath.”

“Okay,” I said putting the cup to Brad’s mouth. “Just a little sip. Here,” I said. He took a little sip then I set it aside.

“Evlon, go ahead and get undressed and wrap a cloth around you. I will get your cold-water bath going too,” I told Evlon. I did not want to make eye contact with him, and I was glad that Brad was there and we were not alone. I was afraid Evlon would see the reality in my eyes, that I still desired him. I was afraid that he would catch my heart quickly thumping out of control.

As I rotated the water spigot over the bath, I could feel Evlon standing near to me. His manly scent surrounded me, and I could definitely feel the heat of his body.

“Are you ready for me, Miranda?” he said. I swallowed. I knew what he meant.

“The cold water is ready for you,” I said. He handed me a cloth. It took me a second to realize it was the cloth he had wrapped around him. This meant that he was completely naked.

He touched his body against mine as he clambered into the tub. I watched his attractive bare form drop into the water. I felt my entire body react to seeing his firm abs and toned arms. I turned away to try to stop myself from flushing. I took a great lungful of air and walked toward the tables. But I could feel Evlon staring at me. I turned to him and locked eyes with his amber brown eyes. He grinned.

Then I helped Brad out of the tub and wrapped a cloth around him. I helped him onto an exam table and gave him all the liquid drug to drink. In a minute, his body was relaxed and limp. I looked over his calves.

“Nothing seems to be broken. You are lucky for that,” I said, giving Evlon a wicked look for causing this harm to Brad. He was looking at me with the same mean glare.

“But you will have severe bruising and some contusions. I can’t massage it because that will only deepen the wounds. I wish I had some Arnica,” I said.

  “We have some,” Evlon said.

“What? You grow it hear on Anvin?” I asked.

“No,” he laughed. “It is one of the many things we steal from your planet,” he said.

“Where?” I said angrily at the spoils they take from Earth.

“In the cabinet where the Taq was. There is a jar of it. It has leaf drawn on it.”

I went to the cabinet and rummaged through the many glass vials. I wondered just how much of it was taken from Earth. I found it and held it up to Evlon. He nodded yes. I poured some onto Brad’s calves. It would help stop the bruising. Brad was practically passed out in a drunken stupor. I preferred that he were awake, but I guessed it was better for him to not feel the pain.

Then I heard a rush of water. I turned to see Evlon’s perfect naked body getting out of the tub. I gasped upon seeing it again. He was just so damn sexy, and his red skin was so exotic to me. He arrogantly walked naked to the table and laid down. “I am ready for you, Miranda.”

I sighed in frustration. This was going to be torture. I draped a cloth over his cock and his wet body. It was a lot like the incident before in the sandstorm. The day I gave in and had sex, on this very table that he was lying on. I grabbed the oil.

“How is my star war games soldier?” Leader Rangellis seemed to appear out of nowhere and stood next to me.

I saw Evlon tense. I did as well. I felt mortified that the leader I was supposed to talk peace with was standing there about to watch me knead the groin area of Evlon. My heart was beating so damn fast.

“I am well. I do not think this injury is getting worse,” Evlon said.

“You are our number-one war game soldier. Any injury is serious because it could cost us the games, and that is very serious business to me. Miranda, keep me informed on what you find. We are establishing a good base trust here to begin peace talks. I see you are a human we can possibly work with in time. Go ahead, Miranda, continue with your work. You are in good hands here, Evlon,” Leader Rangellis said.

“Thank you, Leader,” I said embarrassed by the situation I found myself in.

“I don't doubt her skills,” Evlon smiled at him. I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up. I placed my hands on Evlon's thigh, right on top of his knee, not wanting to go any higher. I closed my eyes trying to wish that I were somewhere else. Was this really happening? Was the leader really going to watch me massage the groin of this alien that I recently had sex with and that I could not stop my body from reacting to? This was absolutely embarrassing. I looked at Evlon, and he had a grin on his attractive face. This was all fun and games to him.

  “And the human?” Rangellis said.

“He is going to be fine, just a bit of bruising and—”

“Leader Rangellis. You are being summoned to the government building,” a soldier came in interrupting us.

“On my way,” Rangellis said as he walked away from us.

I looked at Evlon. My wide eyes were filled with nervousness.

“Well, that was a very interesting moment. Wasn’t it?” he smiled.

  “Yes, it was,” I said

I massaged his thigh. He moaned. I felt my body responding to him again. This was not good. I looked over at Brad. He stirred in his sleep-like daze. Then I looked at Evlon.

“I know what you are thinking, Miranda,” he said with bedroom eyes.

“No, you don’t,” I said anxiously.

“You are wondering if your moans would wake up your friend there,” he said.

“No, I was wondering why you had to hurt him like that. Is it so important for the Zenkians to show the humans who is stronger?” I said angrily.

He stopped smiling. I was on to them. I knew it.

“You are a very clever human,” he said.

“You have no idea,” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“You are mad. Good. Get good and angry at me. I like your fire,” he said.

I looked at the cloth covering him. Once again, it was moving. He was growing harder. Fuck.

“I am getting hard, Miranda. I want to be inside you again.”

I gasped and looked at Brad. Did he hear?

/>   “Fuck it,” Evlon said.

He sat up and grabbed my hand. He placed it on his hard cock while his mouth conquered mine. I could not control my emotions, and I moaned at the feeling. Damn, I wanted him so badly. His hands went to my breasts and squeezed my nipples. “Oh god,” I moaned between kisses. He was groaning like a beast. I let my hand move up and down his cock over the cloth.

“I want to be inside you, Miranda. Let me in,” he moaned.

“No, we can’t,” I said trying to regain some sense of control.

“But you want to. I know you do. Don’t fight it. It is good to want it,” he whispered.

“What, the hell…” I heard Brad say.

I looked up. Evlon and I both turned to him. Brad’s head was turned toward us, and his eyes were halfway open. I gasped and pulled away from Evlon really fast. Brad was silent. Then he giggled a little, and his eyes closed again.

  “Oh fuck,” I said.

“No, don’t worry about that. He is out of it. He will think he was dreaming,” Evlon said.

“You don’t know that for sure. Fuck, fuck,” I said.

“Calm down and get back over here,” Evlon said.

“No. What am I going to do now? What if the team finds out? They will tell my superiors on Earth. I will be fired from my position,” I said.

“I guarantee that is not going to happen. I know that it won’t. It is impossible,” Evlon said.

I looked at him confused. “What do you mean by that?”

He was silent and swallowed. He was hiding something. Then the halls filled with commotion as Zenkian soldiers began to pour in from practice. We could speak of it no more.

  Chapter 13

  Evlon

The next morning, I had my report from the scouts. I went immediately to the government office just as the sun was rising. I had a restless sleep the night before, not because of the rebel threat. It was because I could not get Miranda off my mind. After being interrupted during the massage, I did not get the gratification that I wanted. The quick amount of kissing and touching I was able to get from her was not enough to satisfy me. I went to the tavern later that night and got very drunk. I visited my favorite human slave, only to compare her to Miranda. Suddenly this human slave was not enough for me. No matter how much I closed my eyes and pretended it was Miranda, it was not her. I was extremely unsatisfied and had a restless drunken sleep.

So, I was very grateful for the distraction of work this morning. I walked into Leader Rangellis’ chambers.

“Leader Rangellis. I have just received the report from the scouts that I sent out. So far there is nothing unusual on the rebel side. There is no gathering of their armies. I will keep you informed if something comes to light. But I think the report may have just been a rumor,” I said to him.

“Good, that is good news. Now that we have investigated that and are staying on top of it, we can now see to the humans again. Deliver the message I gave you before; that has not changed. Tell them we will be meeting in five days’ time to open the talk of peace. In those five days, I shall be ready for them,” he said.

“Yes, Leader. I will deliver the message as soon as they have awakened.”

“These lazy humans. They do not get up with the sunrise. That is why they are not as advanced as us.”

“Though I have to say that my injury on my leg is fully healed. I do think they are advanced in medicine, more than we give them credit for,” I replied.

“That is good to know. We might have to push the war games back by several months because of this rebel threat. Having a war game where all of us are gathered is a good target for them. We have been talking about postponing it. This will be good for you. You will have more time to heal and to practice. Now go, Evlon. See to your duties and then to the lazy humans. Restock the food and water in their dwellings and make some appointments for them to be escorted around the city to see some of our structures that we are proud of. But nothing too secretive. Only the surface things. Remember, one of them will be returning to Earth with this information. We do not want to give them information that will make us vulnerable.”

“They can see the shores of the ocean. I can show them the view from a very tall building to see how high we are able to build. Will that do?”

“Yes, both of those things will do nicely. Do not take them to see our water structures or our crops. These are things that the humans could use later to target us if they ever decided to invade. Keep it simple,” he said.

“I understand,” I saluted him and left.

I went about my duties for the morning. I ordered more food and water be taken to the dwellings of the humans. The leader was giving me more and more small bits of information about what was going to happen to the humans. About what was going to be their fate. I wondered which human he would pick to go back to Earth. It seemed to me that it would be the pilot that I injured. It would make sense considering the pilot would pilot a ship. But a part of me thought he would send Miranda.

When I thought about it, it made me feel very angry. I did not want him to send her. I wanted to claim her. I wanted her to be my human slave to do whatever I asked. I wanted to bring her down a peg and to make her obey me. At least then she could not reject me the way she had been; it had been driving me crazy.

After I was done with my morning responsibilities, I headed back to my own home. I went into the tower and to my dwelling. I went inside and took a quick shower just to cool off from the thoughts of Miranda. I changed uniforms. Then I went to the communication wall.

“Yes, Evlon, sir,” the soldier guarding the human dwelling greeted me.

“Inform the humans I will be getting them in an hour. They will be going with me on a tour of some of the city. Tell them I also have a message from the leader. I will be there in an hour,” I told him.

“Yes, sir,” he ended the communication.

Then I opened communication to a few of the areas around the city to inform them I would be bringing the humans. I also informed them to hide the human slaves that were in those establishments. These humans were not ready to see that. Though they knew that we stole humans as well as their resources from Earth, it was Rangellis' request that it not be evident to these particular humans, at least not yet. It was all part of his devious plan.

An hour later, I was walking into the human dwelling.

“Greetings, humans,” I grinned. I looked particularly at Miranda. She narrowed her eyes at me. She did not want me giving her attention. She looked at Brad. I wondered if he had ever told her that he saw us.

“What is going on, Evlon? We have had enough. When am I going to speak to the leaders?” she said.

“That is the message I bring you. Leader Rangellis has set a date for you to do just that. He informed me that I should tell you that you will begin your talks with the leaders in five days.”

They all seemed to sigh relief and congratulate each other.

“That is very good news. Finally, it is going to happen. This has been a very long wait, but worth it if we can at least open the door to talking about a peace treaty,” Miranda said to the team. They all agreed.

“Yes, good work. But in the meantime, I thought you and the team would like to get out and see some things. You cannot be cooped up in here all day.”

“That sounds great! I am getting cabin fever in here. The views are amazing, but it can get very boring after a while. I am anxious to see your city and planet,” Trevor said.

“We are ready when you are,” Captain James said.

“Follow me,” I walked out, and they followed me.

A few minutes later, we piled into a very long speeder. I was going to drive them around for a quick tour before stopping at the ocean.

I drove them around the city, telling them various information, but nothing too revealing. Nothing that would give them the upper hand in an attack by humans. They were very interested and intrigued by everything that I showed them. Then I finally landed the speeder on the
white shore outside of the city. The blue ocean sparkled in the midday sun.

“This is a beach, a lot like what you have on Earth. But this water is not salty. It is fresh water. Please walk around and take a look,” I opened the doors. They piled out. They scattered along the shore picking up rocks and shells and looking at them. I followed Miranda as she ventured away from the group.

“I cannot stop thinking about you,” I whispered to her.

She looked around to see where her team was. I could tell she was growing nervous.

“Evlon, don't. Not now. I don't want to hear it. There can be nothing between us. Don't you understand that? I will be leaving back to Earth after these talks. I must complete my mission. I can never be with you. You are the enemy,” she whispered back.
