"Oh sorry, I didn't think Caleb got...wait Aiden. I, uh, um, did I miss something?" She asked looking between Aiden and Me.
I got up off of Aiden's lap rolling my eyes. "Yeah, Callie Aiden is off limits, he's mine now. I was tired of Caleb, so I finally decided to give it a real go with Aiden. Right babe,” I said looking back to Aiden.
He smiled and went along "Right beautiful," he said giving me a wink.
"Um, oh, uh, when did this happen?" Callie asked looking confused and was that possibly hurt I saw? Does my girl actually feel something for him hmm interesting? Deciding to put her out of her misery, I told her the truth. Why he was there and why we were hugging.
When I was done with the whole story, I saw the anger in her eyes. "I am going to kick that asshole where it counts,” She growled.
“Callie, I just told you Caleb didn't do anything,”
“No, not his fine ass, Dan's what an f-ing prick,”
Aiden and I both nodded. "That he is" Aiden spoke as he got up. "Okay well, I am off to go get cleaned up for a special birthday dinner tonight. I'll leave this one in your very capable hands,” He said to Callie, and I couldn't help but notice how his voice deepened, and she blushed at the end of that sentence. Eww not something I want to think about.
I gave Aiden another hug and then went to my room to shower. Afterward, Callie helped me with my makeup, covering the large bags I had from crying so much. Just as we were about to leave Callie's phone beeped that she had a new text. I saw her face drop as she read it. "Well, that was Caleb, it looks like they were delayed, and he doesn't think he'll be able to make it to your dinner but he said he'll see you at home tonight,” Sighing I just nodded and jumped into my car as she jumped into hers.
The dinner was excellent, and I had a good time with everyone, but I couldn't wait to get home either. I just wanted to have him in my arms.
As I walked into the house, I could hear the familiar sounds of Caleb's guitar and couldn't help but smile. As I set myself down, I saw there were rose petals on the ground. Following the path that led to our bedroom I just about started to cry, when I saw there were probably at least ten dozen roses all white and red throughout the room. Caleb wordlessly gestured for me to join him on the bed as he began to play All of Me by John Legend. He hadn't even finished the song, and I was in full blown tears. So when he did what he did next I just lost it.
Getting down on a knee in front of me, he pulled out a small black box from his pant pocket. "Ari I never even knew anything was missing until you came into my life, but from that first-phone call everything changed. I would call you every night just in hopes I would get to hear your laugh. Then after you moved in I would stay up every night just hoping for you to come back out and cuddle on the couch with me. I would find any excuse to touch or hold you. Then that night when I finally made love to you, I was done for, I just didn't know it yet. It was during our trip to Houston, when I finally realized what I was feeling was love. For the first time in my life, I had fallen in love, and that scared the shit out of me. I always thought love hurt, but love doesn't hurt, loneliness hurts, rejection hurts, losing someone hurts but, I have come to realize love is the only thing to take that pain away,” He said kissing away some of my tears.
“The day I went to talk to my dad he made me see that it's okay to be in love and that even if I didn't admit it I already was. I also realized that the whole time I had been doing everything to try and unbreak this broken girl when in all reality you were the one to unbreak me. You saved me, and I can never truly thank you for that,” He said pausing and looking into my eyes. “On that same day, my dad gave me this,” He said holding the box up. "When he gave it to me I thought it was crazy I mean we had only known each other a short while, but what he said really made sense. He told me when you know you know, and the time with the one you love is precious so don't waste it. I know we have only been a together for a few months, but the thing is, I know,”
Opening the box he wiped the tears from my face. “You are my everything. I told you I would never let you go again and I never will. Ariana Marie Berkley would you please do me the Honor and say you'll be my wife?”
I was speechless. This was the last thing I had expected when I came home tonight. "I uh, wow it's beautiful," I said looking at the ring he was now holding out to me.
“Ari getting a little nervous here,” He said giving me a shy smile.
I put my hands on his face and looked him directly in the eyes “Caleb Carter there is nothing in this world that could make me happier than becoming your wife,”
“Is that a yes then?” He asked
I laughed "No Caleb that's a hell yes!" I said pulling him into a kiss. We pulled away breathless as he put the beautiful ring on my finger. "It's amazing," I said admiring its stunning beauty.
“It was my mom's, I know if she were here she would have loved you just like I do,” He said pulling me into another kiss. “Always only you Ari” He whispered into my mouth before kissing me again.
This time last year I never would have imagined my life would turn out this way, but I feel like everything that's happened in my life led me to him. My choices, my heartaches, my regrets, everything. When I'm with him everything in my past seems worth it, because if even one thing had happened differently, I might have never met this wonderful, amazing man.

AIDEN
Here I am at the club waiting on all my friends to show. I wanted to pick Ari up, but she said she would just ride with Caleb since her friend was in town. I wish I knew what was up with this girl; we go out on dates and cuddle on the couch, I've even tried to go in for a kiss but she always turns and gives me a hug.
I understand she had a lot of shit happen with her ex, but man I've watched her kiss Caleb and not flinch so why won't she kiss me. Why do I even care? I mean I told Caleb just the other night that Ari and I weren't into each other that way, but I know that was a lie on my part, not so sure on hers. I think the girl has stupidly fallen for Caleb, which is only going to end up with her heartbroken.
The thought of that girl hurt because of my friend pisses me off. The thing is I know he cares for her too, but is too much of a chickenshit that he just gives her up, letting me try and move in, what good that has done.
I've seen the way they look at each other, the way they get jealous when the other gets too close with the opposite sex, and there is no denying the chemistry between them. I think it's just time to give up on anything more than friends with her. As hot and amazing of a girl that she is, we just don't have that chemistry that they have.
I was still deep in thought when I looked up to see said girl in question walk in looking just as beautiful as always, but as I took in the group, I was literally stunned speechless at the redheaded beauty walking next to her. That must be her friend Callie, why oh why did she have to be a red head. If you were to ask me my type when it came to girls, this stunning girl would fit it to a T., Of course, my dream girl would be best friends with the girl I am kind of dating, just my luck.
I said hello to everyone and then pulled Ari into a hug, deciding to try for that kiss again mostly just to prove to Caleb when I told him she wasn't into me. Of course to no surprise she turned and gave me the cheek. I couldn't help but notice Callie shake her head at this. I gave Caleb a see what I meant look, but he just shrugged.
After a few drinks, all the girls went out to the dance floor and then most of us guys followed suit well all, but Caleb, who sat there with his eyes glued to Ari, god they made me sick. Just tell each other how you feel already.
A few minutes later I looked up to see some slutty blonde all over Caleb so to keep Ari from seeing and getting upset I pulled her to me. We all danced for a while until the girls decided they wanted to get a drink. As soon as we walked up to the table they all looked like they wanted to throw up at the sight of this blonde on Caleb. I mean it's not like she was ugly, but she was nowhere near as stunning as the group of girls we were with.
I could see Ari getting upset, so I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into my chest. I just have this instinct to want to protect her, to keep her from hurting. Maybe being friends is for the best. Sometimes I feel more like her big brother than anything else.
I'm pretty sure me trying to protect her was probably a mistake though. Caleb didn't seem too happy about it and decided it was time for him to go, taking the blonde with him. I felt Ari stiffen as he asked if she could find another ride home.
Man I wanted to smack the shit out of him. Yeah, kinda weird I want my best friend to get his head out of his ass and realize he is in love with my girl. Man this is messed up. Oh and, of course, there is the fact I can't keep my eyes off of Callie.
We all had a couple drinks when Tess and Jake announced they were going to head out. They were like an old married couple always ending the night early. I wasn't at all surprised when Ari asked if they would take her home too.
What did surprise me was that Callie didn't go with her and then before Ari left she gave me a little hug and a wink asking if I could take care of her friend for her. Was the girl I was dating asking me to hook up with her friend? Only Ari, I thought shaking my head.
Once they had all left. I turned to look for Callie only to find her out on the dance floor with some jerk. Yeah, I don't think so. Downing two more shots, I made my way over to them.
I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but luckily didn't have to do anything. As soon as Callie noticed me she turned away from the guy and started to grind up on me. Oh god, I wasn't thinking this one through. You can only imagine how I was reacting, if the mere sight of her got me all worked up.
I was freaking when she turned her back to me and started dancing on me, I could tell the exact moment she felt my excitement as she stiffened for just a moment before grabbing my arm wrapping it around her waist and grinding on me even harder. Man this girl was bad, so opposite from Ari, and I fuck in loved it.
Leaning her head back to look up at me, she smiled, and my heart skipped a beat at the sight. "Someone’s happy to see me,” She joked. I couldn't even speak, so I just nodded, causing her to laugh.
The song changed, and she grabbed my hand pulling me to the bar. "I need a drink Aid, what would you like?" She asked. Hearing the little nickname she gave me, really got me going.
I ordered us both two shots, me a beer and her a daiquiri. We downed our shots and then our drinks. As soon as we finished she pulled me back to the dance floor just as a slow song started to play.
I was starting to feel the effects of those last drinks, and I am pretty sure she was to as her hands started to roam my body. We continued swaying, grinding, and rubbing on each other, and it was getting pretty damn hot up on this dance floor.
When her hands made their way down my chest until she was caressing on me right where I needed it most, I couldn't help but let out a growl. “God I want you,”
“Then take me. Come back to my room with me,” She purred into my ear.
She must have seen my shocked expression because before I could respond she hooked her finger into my belt loop and pulled me behind her off the dance floor. "TAKE ME NOW!!!" She exclaimed as we made our way out of the club.
She didn't have to tell me twice. As soon as we were in the cab my lips were on hers in a heated kiss. Our tongues explored each other’s mouths, while our hands were everywhere rubbing, grabbing and tearing at each other’s clothes. Until we heard a throat clear. “Scuse me kids, but where to?” the old cab driver asked.
I couldn't help but laugh with Callie "Sorry sir; we got a little carried away. Can you take us to the Hilton downtown, please?" Callie asked. As soon as he nodded as a reply, her mouth was back on mine.
Once we were in front of the hotel, I threw a wad of cash at the driver and pulled Callie out of the cab and into the hotel. As soon as the elevator doors shut, I picked her up slamming her back into the wall and rubbing my arousal into her heat. Shit I wanted this girl more than I have ever wanted any girl in my life. There was just something about this girl that had me fucking hooked.
“Aww Aid” She moaned as I continued to rub on her. Hearing her moan my name had me wanting to just rip her clothes off and take her right here against this wall, but before I had a chance the elevator beeped and the doors opened.
"What room" I groaned as her lips made their way down my neck. I almost regretted asking when she removed them to answer.
"Four fifteen," she said as she pulled a key card from her bra and handed it to me before crashing her mouth back on mine.
Swiping the card, I pushed the door open and then kicked it shut once we were inside. I wasted no time tossing her onto the bed, causing her to giggle. I couldn't help but notice as she leaned on her elbows taking me in as I removed my shirt and crawled up the bed until I was hovering over her.
Lifting her back I slowly unzipped her dress as I kissed from her ear down her neck to her shoulder, pulling the dress down as I went.
