She took a long deep breath and suppressed a grin. Today was the day that all her hard work finally paid off. It was finally the day that the acquisition was going to be made public and Cole had insisted on her saying a few words since the whole thing was her idea. Aleesha hated the whole idea of standing in front of people especially given the fact that she was so self-conscious lately.

“Think about it like this,” Cole had explained in an attempt to make her feel a little more comfortable. “A few years ago, the Las Vegas financial management pool was like an episode of Survivor as the two big players tried getting the upper hand but suddenly, that is not the situation anymore and we have just got twenty eight million in new clients and assets.”

“I already know all that,” Aleesha had said rolling her eyes.

“Then you also know that I want the world to know what the woman responsible for getting me so much money in billable hours has to say.”

She knew that he would not give up until she did what he wanted, so after a long back and forth, she agreed to do it.

“I know that a five year anniversary does not really warrant a two day celebration but given what we have achieved in such a short time, I guess we deserve it,” Cole had said.

Aleesha was still smiling as she looked at a sleeping Cole. She was not sure how long she had been looking at him before she finally spoke.

“Cole,” she whispered as she looked down at him. “Cole,” she called again when he didn’t respond the first time.

His eyelids fluttered open and he stirred in bed.

“Hey there,” he said in a groggy voice.

“Hey there yourself.” She sat down on the edge of the bed. “I hate to wake you up but we have to be at the hotel in a few hours…but it’s not like I am throwing you out or anything.”

He smiled and took her hand in his.

“I know you are not throwing me out,” he said before he pressed his lips into her hand.

“I was just going to have a quick shower,” she said.

“I’ll come with you,” he said but she shook her head.

“You and I in the bathroom together…it won’t end well.”

  Cole frowned.

“Was I really that bad last night?” he asked and she smiled.

“You were amazing but we both know that a shower together guarantees that we are both going to get late plus you need a change of clothes.”

  “Yeah, that I do.”

“Yes, you do.” She pulled her hand from his. She got up from the bed and walked to the bathroom.

“Aleesha,” he called out when she got to the bathroom door. She looked at him over her shoulder and he smiled at her. “The robe. Take it off.”

“What?” she asked as she raised an eyebrow over the other.

“I want to see you. All of you.”

“You already saw all of me last night.”

“Well, if I don’t get to see you in the shower then this is the least you can do for me,” he said in a soft voice. She flashed him a smile and gently let the robe slide off her body. She did not know what it was about him that made her so comfortable, so content. She made her way into the shower and turned on the water. As she stood there, water trickling down her body, she could not help but smile. This was the first time in a long time that she was actually happy with her choices. With the man she had chosen. And it had been a long time coming too. She closed her eyes and tilted her head upwards. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she did not even hear Cole walking into the bathroom. She gasped when she felt his hands on her waist and then slowly working their way down to her hips.

“What are you doing?” she asked as she leaned against him. “I thought we had an understanding.”

Cole swept the wet hair to one side and kissed her wet shoulder softly.

“It’s kind of hard to just lie there and wait all the while knowing that you are in here.” He brought his hand up and gently cupped a feel of her breast. “Naked.”

She whimpered when he kneaded her full breast. She could feel his cock pressing against her ass.

“We are going to be late,” she whispered as he turned her around and pinned her against the tiled wall, away from the water.

“So what?” he asked in a low voice.

“So what? I have a speech to give,” she said. By this time, he had interlaced his fingers with hers and pinned them above her head.

“It’s a big day for Turner, Mayfield and Associates, baby. The party doesn’t start until we get there.”

“Cole Turner, what exactly do you have in mind?” she asked as he worked his way down to her chest and then kissed her breasts softly. She moaned softly as he traced his lips down her tummy and lingered on her sensitive belly button before he got on his knees. She instinctively spread her legs and his mouth found her already moist pussy. She bit her lower lip when she felt him running his tongue on her swollen clit. She was moaning and he was breathing into her. She could feel just how much he wanted her just by the way he was running his tongue on her and in the way he was sucking her. She was shivering as he thrust his tongue into her depths. She was having a hard time understanding how he was able to thrust his tongue into get considering the position he was in. When he finally pulled away from her pussy, her legs were shaking so much that she was no longer sure she could hold her own weight up.

Cole pulled himself up and kissed her lips softly making her taste herself on him. When he pulled away, he took her hand in his and led her out into the bedroom. At that moment, time and punctuality didn’t matter to any of them and especially him. All he wanted to do was to feel her again. To fill her up once more. She laid back on the bed and pulled her legs up. He looked into her eyes and put his hands on her knees before he spread them exposing her to him. She gasped when she felt his finger inside her, testing her wet depths. He was slowly moving his finger in and out of her. He loved the way her insides felt. So perfectly velvety and drenched. He pulled the one finger out and she moaned her disapproval making him push two long fingers into her waiting wetness. He slowly moved his fingers in and out of her gently but she was unwillingly writhing on the bed making his fingers go deeper inside her. She looked up at him, panting.

“Now,” she whispered. “Please, Cole. Fuck me right now.”

He pulled his fingers out of her and she took his hand in hers. Cole’s cock hardened almost immediately when she gently took his fingers into her mouth, licking him clean.

“Come up here,” he said as he pulled her to a sitting position. “Turn around.”

His voice was gentle but also authoritative. She could not help but get turned on as she noticed the weird kind of Christian Grey thing going on at that moment. She quickly turned around and got on all fours sticking her ass high up in the air for him. Cole climbed on the bed and settled in between her legs.

“Tell me what you want, Aleesha,” he whispered as he gently caressed her full round ass.

“I want you.” There was a desperation in Aleesha’s voice that spoke to the urgency of her desire. He was teasing her, getting her wetter by the minute and he was loving every minute of it.

  “Say it again,” he commanded.

“I want you,” she said again as she looked at him over her shoulder.

“Are you ready for me, baby?” he asked as he positioned himself at her entrance. She barely had any time to answer him when she felt him working his cock into her. She could feel her walls tensing up as his girth entered her. She closed her eyes and grabbed fistfuls of the bedding as he buried himself inside her. She let out a loud shriek when he went in balls deep and just suddenly went still as if he was waiting for her to do something. Like he was waiting for some kind of reaction. She looked at him again and he pulled back before he thrust forward. He was slowly picking up his pace, holding onto his waist as he fucked her. By this time, she was breathing deep and hard and the fact that he had recently licked her out was enough to make her even weaker than she already was. She let out a loud
gasp when he reached for her breast. He caressed her gently and squeezed her making her gasp.

His thrusts got more tenacious as he rocked her, fucking her long and hard, each stroke longer and harder than the last. Every thrust ensured that her moans got louder as his balls slammed against her wetness. Suddenly, she just couldn’t hold on any longer. She held on to the bedding even harder as she felt her passion taking over, claiming every fiber of her very existence. She inadvertently lowered herself on the bed and let out a loud cry as her orgasm took over. Her walls were quaking wildly and it was as if that was what fueled his fire because he was suddenly pumping into her harder and faster, as if he was not already going fast enough. She could feel herself on the verge of another orgasm when she felt him pulsating inside her.

“Oh fuck! Aleesha!” he cried as he felt himself emptying into her.

  She smiled.

‘Oh fuck’ were the exact words that were on her mind. She was still panting when he pulled out of her wet pussy.

“I should really get going,” he said in an exhausted voice. “Because at this rate we are definitely going to be late.” He laid next to her and wiped his sweaty brow.

“And whose fault is that?” she asked.

“I admit. I might be at fault but you are also to blame.”

She smiled at him and shrugged.

“Now, how exactly do I play into this equation?” she asked and he gently ran his hand down her back to her ass.

“Because you are absolutely gorgeous and sexy.”

He brought his hand back up and held the back of her neck before he pulled her close for a soft kiss.

“I know that this is the worst time to bring this up but we will have to talk about it sometime,” Aleesha started. Cole gently ran his fingers through her damp hair.

“What do you want to talk about?”

“This…us…if there is even an ‘us’ right now.”

“What do you mean if there is even an ‘us’. Of course there is an ‘us’.” He gently tucked a stray strand of her curly hair behind her ear. “That is why I am here right now.”

“Really?” Aleesha didn’t know why she didn’t believe what he said. And she hated that she did because Cole had been nothing but kind to her.

“Of course. Do you doubt me?”

She shook her head and sighed.

“I don’t know…” she shrugged. “I trust you but…” she shook her head.

“What?” Cole asked. His smile had disappeared by that time. He seemed concerned, maybe even scared at what she was about to say next.

“I have a lot of baggage, Cole.”

“So?” he asked. “Everyone has baggage.”

“Your baggage and mine are on two very different levels, Cole. I’m a divorcee and...” her voice trailed off.

“Everyone has baggage, Aleesha. I have an ex too, you know.”

“Office romances never work,” she said as she looked at him.

“Well, this one will because you and I, we make a great team, baby.”

  She nodded.

  “Yeah, at the office.”

“And everywhere else if last night and this morning is anything to go by.” She smiled and shrugged.

“We did not become Turner, Mayfield and Associates by chance, Aleesha. Just don’t overthink everything. Let’s take every day as it comes, okay?”

She took a long deep breath and then nodded.

“Fine, a day at a time.”

“Good.” He kissed her again and then pulled away. “Because I have not waited five years to lose you.”

“We better get to the shower.”

He smiled and nodded before he helped her out of the bed and into the bathroom.

“Maybe this time we should take separate showers,” she said as they stepped under the running water.

“No way,” he said as he held her close. “I promise this time I will behave.”

  Part 4

It had been exactly six weeks after the anniversary party when Aleesha found out something frightening. She couldn’t get to Cole’s office fast enough.

“Miss. Mayfield…” Cole’s secretary said when she saw her.

“Is he in?” Aleesha asked and the secretary nodded.

“But…” she started but it was too late. Aleesha was already inside. Cole looked up in surprise and raised an eyebrow over the other.

“We need to talk,” Aleesha announced as she leaned against the closed door.

“Are you okay?” he asked as he stood up. She shook her head as he began walking towards her. “What’s going on?” he asked, looking at her.

“Get the blinds,” she said before locking the door.

“Baby…” he started as he reached out to her.

  “Blinds, Cole. Now!”

Cole put his hands up and did as she asked before he looked at her.

“Alright. Door is locked, blinds are closed.” She began walking back and forth, breathing heavily. “Aleesha, talk to me.”

She took a long deep breath and looked at him. Her eyes were welled up and he felt his heart go out to her.

  “Baby, what happened?” he asked.

“I’m late,” she said after a long silence.

“For what?” Cole asked, confused. She rolled her eyes and pulled out the home pregnancy kit she had in her pocket. “Oh…you’re late.”

“We haven’t been careful lately…we have never been careful and I just wanted to be sure and…” her voice trailed off and took the stick from her. “I didn’t plan this or anything and…”

He smiled and pulled her close before he kissed her.

“You’re…happy?” she asked, a tear rolling down her cheek.

He used his thumb to wipe the tear off her face.

“I couldn’t be happier.” He stroked her hair. “Starting a family with the woman I love is exactly what I need.”

“The woman you love?” Aleesha was whispering by this time.

“The woman I love,” he echoed before he kissed her again.

  Dangerously in Love

  Dangerously in Love

  Chapter 1

Working as a nurse in the hospital meant that Kimmy had to work long hours and that she did not have time to have much of a life outside of work. She did not mind, however, the most important thing to her was her work and helping other people. There were times when she felt completely alone though.

Kimmy loved working, she loved her job, but when she had to go home and spend time alone, she would begin to feel depressed and as if she would never meet anyone to spend her life with.

On the days when she had to deal with couples it was the worst. She would watch a man or woman be brought into the hospital that had been in a car wreck, she was always the one that had to talk to the patient’s partner. She would watch the fear on their face turn to confusion, she would watch the tears pour down their faces as the concern about their partner grew. She witnessed the happiness that they experienced when they realized their partner was going to be okay.

Those were the times when she felt most alone. She knew that if anything ever happened to her there would be no one worried, no one would cry and no one would be happy when she recovered. She spent many nights crying and feeling completely alone. She dreamed of the day when she would have someone to go home to.

It had been years since she had been in a relationship, her last boyfriend had been when she was in college and he had broken her heart. She swore then that she would never let it happen again.

Rick worked at the local police department. He had been on the force for over three years and loved his job. It was all he had ever dreamed of being when he was a child. His mother had disappeared when he was young and several of the local officers had stepped up to help his family.

Although her case was never solved, they stood by Rick’s family, ensuring that all 6 of the children had everything that they needed. Their wives would treat Rick and his brothers and sisters just like t
hey were their own children.

Rick and his siblings never went without when they were children, but there was always a part of Rick that was missing. That was the only reason that Rick had decided to become a police officer.

He wanted to look into his mother’s case deeper; he wanted to know all of the facts. His father had tried to keep all of the information from the kids when they were growing up. Rick understood why his father wanted to keep it a secret, but he needed to know what had happened so he spent his spare time researching the case.

It had been one of those days when Rick had not been too busy. He had been looking into his mother’s case and had learned that there had been no sign of forced entry. When his father had returned home from work the night he had found his wife's purse sitting on the kitchen counter with her keys next to it. There was a cake still in the oven and it had not had time to burn so he assumed his wife had walked to the neighbors. Rick’s father had taken the cake out of the oven and set it on the counter to cool, but began to worry when his wife did not come home.

As it turned out Rick’s father had not called the police until the next day to report his wife missing. Rick knew that this was a huge mistake and could be the reason that his mother was never found. Knowing that the police were not immediately informed bothered Rick and made him wonder what else his father had not told him.

As Rick continued to look through the case file he was called out to a domestic disturbance. He knew the residence well and was not looking forward to confronting the suspect yet again. Rick knew that every time he was called to the residence he would find the woman on the front porch crying and screaming. Once he calmed her down and confronted the suspect the woman would refuse to press charges and he would be called out again later in the week.
