  Wesley laughed. “Why?”

“Because all they wanted was to say they banged a fireman. It’s not really the best way to start a relationship.”

“Is that what you want? A relationship?” Wesley asked.

Kurt nodded. “Yeah, it is. I want to know someone’s at home waiting for me. I want to sit in front of the TV watching a show together, or be able to just talk about anything. I want that in my life.”

  “So do I , ” Wesley said.

  “So, have you…dated?” Kurt asked.

“No.” Wesley looked into Kurt’s eyes. “I only want one man.”

Kurt felt the heat in the restaurant go up as Wesley looked at him. His dick was harder than a steel pipe and he swore he was sweating. “Um, can we take a walk?”

“Sure.” Wesley motioned to the waiter.

The crescent moon dangled in the sky. Kurt listened to the water rolling up on shore as they walked along the beach. He really wanted to hold Wesley’s hand, but didn’t know how to go about making it happen. What if he reached for Wesley and misread something? He was nervous and his stomach was twisting inside. He wanted to kiss Wesley; he wanted that more than anything. He wanted to know i f the feelings he had for Wesley were real . Kurt took a deep breath and took Wesley’s hand, pulling him back to him. Before he could stop himself, his lips crashed into Wesley’s and their teeth smacked together .

“Ow,” Wesley pulled away, touching his lip.

“Oh God!” Kurt was mortified, he backed away quickly . “I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have…Oh God...” Kurt covered his face.

“Hey,” Wesley pulled Kurt close to him, removing his hands from his face. He lifted Kurt’s face up to his with his fingertips. “It’s okay.”

Kurt shook his head. “No it’s not, I tried to kiss you! Look what happened ! I’m so sorry, it won’t happen again.”

“It better happen again,” Wesley smiled, caressing Kurt’s chin with his finger.

  “Huh?”

“Do you want to kiss me, Kurt?” Wesley asked. He smiled when Kurt nodded slowly. “Close your eyes, ” Wesley whispered.

Kurt’s heart pounded against his ribcage as his eyes closed. He felt a breath on his lips, and then Wesley’s warm mouth was on his. It was like nothing he’d ever felt before. Kurt’s eyes opened when the warmth left him.

  “Are you okay?” Wesley whispered.

Kurt nodded, staring at Wesley’s lips.

“You want me to do it again?” Wesley asked, his fingertips sliding over Kurt’s bottom lip.

“Yes, please,” Kurt whispered. Their eyes met, and Kurt swore he saw a flash of desire in Wesley’s. His own body was on fire, like four

-alarm, burn-to-the-ground hot. Wesley’s lips moved over his slowly, seductively, and when Wesley’s tongue slid across his bottom lip, Kurt’s mouth opened on instinct, inviting him in. A low groan escaped him as Wesley’s tongue investig ated him with s low, languid flicks in the most enticing way. Wesley’s arms snaked around his waist, pulling him in closer, and Kurt wrapped his arms around Wesley’s neck, giving himself to Wesley freely.

God he wanted more. He never thought it could feel like this. Kurt wrapped his fingers in Wesley’s hair, deepening the kiss. A low growl entered his mouth from Wesley’s and Kurt thought his dick would explode right then. Wesley’s hand crept up the back of Kurt’s shirt, singeing his skin . Kurt shivered against Wesley’s body. They broke from the kiss, breathing like they’d just run down the beach at a sprint.

“I’ve got to stop,” Wesley panted. “I want more, I want you so much.” Wesley touched Kurt’s face, his eyes were still closed. “Was…was it too much?”

Kurt opened his eyes, looking at Wesley’s beautiful face and shook his head no.

“I’ve never left someone speechless, are you sure I didn’t overstep?” Wesley asked nervously.

Kurt took a deep breath and blurted it all out. “I wanted to kiss you. I’ve been thinking about you for months and I can’t stop. I want you in so many ways it scares me.”

“You…want me?” Wesley’s mouth dropped open. “But, you said—”

“I know what I said before; I was scared . I still am, but I’m not scared enough to not even try. There’s something between us and I want to explore that.”

Wesley nodded. “Okay, we’ll take it slow then. We should go, though.” Wesley looked at his watch. “We still have a movie to see.”

“Not too slow though, right?” Kurt grinned.

Wesley’s pulse raced at the thought of having Kurt, naked on a bed . “Oh, sweet Jesus…”

~~ Austin was pacing from one room to another and he swore the damn clock was moving backwards.

“I’m getting a crick in my neck, stop pacing, ” Kory said.

“Do I look okay?” Austin checked his hair for the tenth time and adjusted his T-shirt.”

“Yes, you look exactly like you did two seconds ago when you asked , ” Kory grinned.

“Why can’t I just relax?” Austin mumbled. The doorbell rang, making him jump.

“Lover boy’s here, ” Kory winked, looking at his watch. “Damn, six fifty nine. Talk about prompt.”

  “Shup!” Austin whispered.

He fixed his hair one more time and cracked his neck from side to side. With a deep breath, Austin opened the door, and then forgot to breathe out . Tucker stood in front of him, a grey T-shirt stretched across his pectoral and abdominal muscles. His jeans wrapped around him like a horny cat.

  “Hi,” Austin squeaked.

Tucker knew his mouth was hanging open. “Wow, you look…wow, ” Tucker stammered.

Kory was looking from Austin to Tucker. They were just staring at each other. “So, um, you guys should probably get going , huh?”

Tucker opened his mouth, and then shut it, his eyes still locked with Austin’s. They were so damn blue . Austin’s right eye was swollen, and a black ring was surrounding it, blending with blue. Tucker averted his eyes, letting them wander south. Austin’s shirt looked painted on it was so damn tight and Tucker could see Austin’s tattoo peeking out from beneath the sleeve. A short cough interrupted his eye candy trip and he looked at Kory.

“The date?” Kory pointed to his watch.

“Yes, the date,” Tucker backed out of the condo, putting his hand out. “After you.”

  Austin smiled, walking out.

“You kids be good now!” Kory shouted from the couch.

Austin walked out to the parking lot and looked around. “Which one is yours?”

“The huge truck,” Tucker hit the remote on his truck, unlocking it.

Austin climbed up into the Ford Super Duty. He strapped himself in and looked over at Tucker. “Well, at least you own a Ford.”

  “Points for me?” Tucker said.

“Major points,” Austin smiled , his eyes wandering over the bulge in Tucker’s jeans. He wondered how big his dick was. Was it bigger than his? Austin felt his cheeks heating. Stop looking at his damn package!

“So, I picked a place down by the water, a really good steak place. I remember l ast time I took you out, you ate like two steaks in one sitting.”

  “I love meat…” Oh shit , shit , shit! “I mean , I like steak.”

Tucker chuckled, looking over at Austin. It was so obvious he was nervous. “Hey, we don’t have to do this if you’re uncomfortable, ” Tucker said.

“Oh no, no! I’m just nervous I guess?” Austin stammered.

Tucker turned in the seat to look at Austin. “I want you to be comfortable, okay? If I do anything that makes you uncomfortable, I want you to tell me. I’m just as nervous as you are.”

“You are?” Austin looked at Tucker in astonishment.

“I want this date to go well.”

“Well it can’t go anywhere, unless we leave the parkin g lot, ” Austin chuckled.

“Yes, moving would be good,” Tucker laughed, backing out of the condo parking lot.

The whole ride to the restaurant, Au
stin wanted to scoot closer to Tucker in the front cab. He wanted to touch him somehow, hold his hand and smell him. Austin looked out the window as the city of Seattle flew by . He’d been here for four years and still hadn’t seen everything. He wanted to see it all now, and he wanted to see it with Tucker. They pulled into the restaurant lot and Tucker ran around to Austin’s side, helping him out.

Austin smiled, fixing his shirt again. “I thought for sure you’d ask about my eye.”

“There’s something wrong with your eye?” Tucker chuckled.

  “Very funny.”

“Okay, what happened?” Tucker listened to Austin tell the story as they walked up to the doors of the restaurant. His blood was boiling and his lupine side was close to breaking free. “He did what ?”

Austin could see Tucker’s face contorting in anger. “Hey, it’s okay. Dean just freaked out.” “What the hell is he still doing at the firehouse? What if next time he’s so damn frozen something happens to you? I couldn’t take that…I just…” Tucker took a deep breath.

“Hey,” Austin took Tucker’s hand and stepped in front of him. Tucker had an inch on him, maybe two, but he could still look into those mesmerizing hazel eyes. “I’m okay ; I know how to take care of myself.”

Tucker reached for Austin’s face and stopped. “I couldn’t handle it if something happened to you.”

Austin took Tucker’s hand, placing it on his cheek. “I’m all right.”

The door opened and college kids walked out laughing; Tucker stepped away from Austin and looked around.

  “We should go in.”

They were led to the back of the restaurant and were seated with a view of the Sound. Lights from the water twinkled and boats with sunset fishermen bobbed up and down . Austin looked over the menu, looking at the prices. He looked up in shock.

  “Tucker.”

Tucker looked up from his menu. “Yes? Did you find something you want?”

Yep, and he’s not on the menu. “This is expensive, ” Austin whispered.

Tucker smiled, arching a brow. “I can afford it. Order whatever you want.”

  “Really?” Austin asked, still unsure.

“I’m having the bust—your-gut steak with a lobster on the side.” Tucker put his menu back down and looked at Austin. “Order whatever you want.”

“Can I have dessert, too?” Austin grinned, eyeing Tucker’s biceps.

Holy fucking shit. “Yes, anything.” Tucker picked up the menu, hiding his face. He had a hard time looking at Austin now, especially after the memory of Austin bathing naked in the lake. He’d go ne to keep an eye on him and en ded up hypnotized . Austin’s beautiful skin had glowed in the moonlight as he bathed himself. Tucker closed his eyes, pushing the memory of Austin’s skin out of his head.

  “Tucker?”

“Yes?” Tucker peeked over the top of his menu.

“Waitress?” Austin pointed to the woman currently smiling at him.

“Oh, the biggest steak in the house, medium-rare, and a side of lobster , ” Tucker said.

“Good,” t he waitress turned to Austin. “And what w ill you have?”

“Same thing,” Austin handed her his menu.

“You want a beer or wine?”

  “Beer,” Tucker said.

  “Specific kind?” she asked.

“We’re not picky, anything with foam on top, ” Austin winked.

Tucker watched as the waitress left, he looked back at Austin, smiling. “You seem better now, ” Tucker said.

“I’m hungry, overrides the nervous tick, ” Austin said.

“Is that what that thing with your lip is?” Tucker asked.

“What?” Austin touched his lips. Tucker’s eyes held a bit of mischief in them. “Asshole, ” Austin whispered, with a grin.

“Made you think about it, though , ” Tucker said, smiling. “Your lips are fine - better than fine.”

Austin’s face heated - damn blushing . He’d never blushed this much in his whole life. “So, tell me what you’ve been up to.”

They talked as they ate, Austin telling him about the job and Tucker talkin g about the move. They just fit. Aus tin was comfortable. Well mostly. He wasn’t comfortable with all the women checking out his date. More than once he threw a dirty look at a certain blond e sitting two tables away. Little slut kept licking her lip s while checking Tucker out.

  “Aus tin?”

  “Yes? I’m sorry, I was …uh…”

“Giving the blond e a dirty sneer?” Tucker leaned back in his chair.

“Well, she pisses me off!” Austin leaned over the table, whispering. “She keeps looking over here and ogling you!”

“The only person I care about in this place is you, Austin. No woman or man could ever make my head turn.”

  “What?” Austin stammered.

“I thought I’d been pretty obvious about it, ” Tucker said.

  “Can we go now?”

  “Check!”

They were on their way out to the truck, when Austin saw the beach. “Can we go for a walk? The tide ’s out and I love looking for shells.”

  “In the dark?” Tucker laughed.

  “You’re a cop - d on’t you have a Maglite?”

Tucker opened the truck and looked in the glove compartment. “Ah ha!”

They made their way down to the beach and Austin removed his shoes. He held Tucker up as he removed his shoes as well. They walked slowly, watching the shore for shells, shoes hanging from their fingertips.

“Oooh ! Right there, look at that.” Austin bent down. “It’s a perfect sand dollar.” Austin turned it around in his fingers. “It’s alive , though.” Austin set it back down and kept looking. “Tolmie State Park has all the sand dollars. When the tide goes out, they ’re all over the place. Wyatt introduced me to it.”

“You like Wyatt, don’t you?” Tucker said.

“He’s really great. When he first came to the house, Preston was so mean to him. Over time, you could see them falling in love, ” Austin sighed. “I was told for so long that being gay was bad, it just shocked me to see the love they had for each other. I know Preston would give his life for Wyatt.”

“Is that what you want someday? A relationship like that?”

“I would love that. To be with someone who gets me, who I get. Someone to…” Austin blushed. “Cuddle with. I know that sounds girlie .”

“No, I get it,” Tucker said. “I want that too, someday.”

Austin looked at Tucker; h e dropped his shoes in the sand . “Were you planning on kissing me at some point?”

“I didn’t know if you wanted me to.”

“This is me, telling you to,” Austin walked closer. “Pleas e, kiss me.” Austin stood still as Tucker droppe d his shoes. He closed his eyes as Tucker’s hands cupped his face.

  “Are you sure?” Tucker breathed.

“Yes, just…please…” Austin felt a warm hand caressing his cheek, and then Tucker’s lips were on his. His body exploded and he whimpered as Tucker pulled him closer, gripping his hips tightly. A hand went to his hair and gripped it and Austin gasped. Tucker’s tongue slid in warm and wet, taking his mouth in a kiss so damn erotic Austin was starting to slide out of Tucker’s grip. Holy hell, he’d never been kissed like this ; his thighs heated and his dick hardened. The kiss was soft, leisurely and exploratory all at once. Austin wrapped his arms around Tucker’s neck, hanging on for dear life as the kiss went on and on . He was near the point of passing out when Tucker finally lifted his head, breaking the kiss.

  “Was… that okay?”

“Holy shit, ” Austin whispered, panting.

Tucker smiled, his thumb caressed Austin’s swollen bottom lip. “You have the most erotic mouth; I could kiss you for hours.”

“Can we start that now?” Austin asked.

Tucker chuckled, releasing his grip on Austin. “I want to do this right. You’re still new at this guy dating guy stuff. The last thing I want is to push you too f
ar too fast.” Tucker was trying to stand upright, without looking like that’s what he was doing. Austin’s kiss had knocked him on his ass. “We should get out of this romantic environment and watch a high action horror movie.”

“Okay,” Austin nodded, walking towards the water.

“Whoa, hey, truck is this way.” Tucker took Austin by his shoulders, walking him back towards the parking lot. He got him settled in the truck and handed him his shoes. “You okay?”

“Yep, ” Austin nodded. He put his head back on the seat, closing his eyes. That , by far, had been the best kiss he’d ever had. It blew any other kiss right out of the water. Tucker could kiss. Damn he could kiss. His lips were still tingling and his dick would not go down.

The movie theatre was much of the same, they waited in line for soda and popcorn and women were eying Tucker’s ass. Austin stood behind Tucker, shielding his mouthwatering globes.

“You have a nice ass, too,” Tucker chuckled, watching Austin in the big mirror in front of him.

Austin looked at the mirror. “Shit.”

“It’s cute how you try to save my virtue.”

“It just bothers me, okay?” Austin said.

“The only guy I want is right here next to me, ” Tucker said. “I would never do anything to hurt you, I’d never cheat.” God, he wished he could tell Austin the truth, that they were mates for life. He’d never want anyone else as long as he lived.

  “Really?” Austin asked.

“If you want to date me, keep going out with me, you have to know one thing: I w ill never stray, Austin.”

They found their seats in the middle of the theatre and Tucker waited for Austin to get comfortable before handing him his drink. They sat and munched on popcorn as the previe ws started. Austin kept taking sneaking peeks at Tucker’s profile. How he’d kept his hands off the man ten months ago was a mystery. Maybe he hadn’t been ready then, maybe he was ready now. He knew he wanted more than kisses, but Tucker deserved someone who could be out and open with him. Austin didn’t know if he was there just yet.
