“Damn that’s hot, ” Austin breathed.

“You took that pretty well back there.”

Austin turned to face Tucker. “I think if we had just met and I didn’t know Tucker the man, I would have had a different reaction.” Austin caressed Tucker’s face. “I do know you as a man , though, and I got to see you as a wolf, too. You are one hell of a man, Tucker. I want to be with you . I want you to change me.”

Tucker’s eyes went wide. “You do? But you heard Wayne.”

“I did, and none of that is worth not being with you. I can’t stand the thought of not being with you forever.”

Tucker pulled Austin into him. “Wayne thinks I should bite you during mating.”

  “Rawr!” Austin laughed.

“You are just… you surprise me all the time.” Tucker kissed Austin softly. “I’m so lucky.”

Austin took Tucker’s face in his hands. “I’m the lucky one. You waited for me; do you know how important that is to me? For months you waited for me to pull my head out of my ass. I’d do anything for you, Tucker.”

“I want it to be special, your first time, ” Tucker whispered against Austin’s lips.

“It w ill be, because it’s with you.”

~~ Kurt held Wesley’s hand as they walked around the shore of Wonder Lake. The moon had finally risen and taken its spot in the sky, casting a glow over the water. Denali was beautiful, Kurt couldn’t imagine leaving it. Wayne’s talk was rolling around in his head, he couldn’t fathom falling in love with someone and not having them love you back.

  “Wesley?”

  “Yes?”

“What would you have done if I’d never

opened up to you?” Wesley stopped walking; he turned Kurt to face him. “I would have loved you my whole life.”

“Do you love me?” Kurt asked.

“I do, I have for a long time. I just didn’t have a name for it. From the moment I knew you were my mate I would have moved heaven and Earth to be close to you.”

“That’s why you moved to Seattle, isn’t it? To be close to me.”

Wesley nodded. “I wanted to be nearby just so I could see you, even if you would never love me back.”

“I do love you, Wesley. I think I have slowly been falling in love with you for ten months.”

“You do love me?” Wesley asked.

“I do.” Kurt wrapped his arms around Wesley’s neck, kissing him. “I want you to make love to me.”

“Here?” Wesley looked around, it was dark and there was a patch of grass…but still. “This isn’t how I imagined your first time.”

“Look how romantic it is.” Kurt looked around; a soft breeze was moving the trees in a dance. “Please?”

“I don’t have anything,” Wesley said.

  “I do,” Kurt grinned.

Wesley arched a brow. “You brought lube?”

Kurt nodded, lying down on the grass. “I want you to make love to me and then I want you to seal our bond.”

Wesley removed his shirt. “Wait, get up for a second.” Wesley waited for Kurt to move before putting his shirt on the ground . He removed his pants and made a makeshift bed. Wesley settled on top of Kurt, both of them were already breathing hard in excitement. Wesley removed Kurt’s pants, then his shirt, bunching it up and putting it under Kurt’s head. He looked at Kurt’s naked body in the light of the moon ; his lips were partially open and he was shaking.

“Are you all right?” Wesley caressed Kurt’s face.

  Kurt nodded. “I’m nervous.”

“I’ll go slow , okay?” Wesley took the tube from Kurt’s pocket and covered his fingers in it. He hovered over Kurt, taking his mouth in a slow , seductive kiss as his fingers slid around Kurt’s tight hole. Kurt’s legs relaxed and Wesley pushed one finger in. Kurt moaned and tensed around him, his body shaking uncontrollably.

“I love you, relax for me,” Wesley whispered.

Kurt nodded. “Tell me you’ll always be with me.”

“I w ill always be with you, I’ll never leave.” Wesley took Kurt’s mouth as he pushed another finger in, stretching Kurt as he searched for th e spot t hat would make Kurt shake in a completely different way. Sliding his fingers up further, he crooked them and touched what he’d been looking for. Kurt almost came up off the ground and a loud moan escaped him.

Keeping up a slow, sensual rub, Wesley kept his lips planted firmly on Kurt’s, exploring every inch of his wet, warm mouth. Wesley removed his fingers slowly and applied lube to his hardened erection. He opened Kurt’s legs wider and positioned the head of his cock at Kurt’s opening. Their eyes locked and Wesley pushed i n slowly. Kurt’s eyes went wide and he whimpered.

“Are you all right?” Wesley breathed, trying not to cum in seconds.

“Oh fuck…” Kurt pulled Wesley down to his lips, sucking on them and licking Wesley’s lips, begging to be let in. Wesley’s mouth opened and Kurt felt the pressure in his ass increasing. He sucked in a breath as Wesley’s hips came flush with his own. His chest felt full and his lower body was on fire, and then Wesley slowly drew back out. He lost track of everything around him except the exquisite feeling in his body as Wesley’s cockhead rubbed his sweet spot on every in-stroke.

He wrapped his legs around Wesley tightly, moving his lower body when Wesley thrust back inside him. His fingers gri pp ed Wesley’s hair and his breaths became erratic as Kurt met with Wesley’s body and lips. There was no pain ; Kurt realized the burn in his ass was gone and replaced with a pleasure he’d never known. The thrusts were faster and deeper now and Kurt felt his orgasm rising inside him. Wesley’s hand stroked his cock and Kurt lost it. The loud cry that left his lips echoed across the lake. Wesley came with a howl, collapsing on top of Kurt . A nd then the pain came. Wesley’s canines sunk into his shoulder and Kurt cried out as another orgasm tore through him.

Kurt blinked and looked at Wesley. “Oh God…”

Wesley moved off of Kurt; he knew what was coming, he’d seen it with Sam.

  “I’m right here.”

Kurt felt pain rolling up from his feet; it spread like a wildfire up his body and shot through his fingertips. He convulsed as his blood flow was taken over by Wesley’s lupine bite.

  “Wesley…” Kurt choked out.

“What can I do? Tell me what to do!”

  “In…t-t-he l-l-lake, so h-h-hot!”

Wesley pickled Kurt up and t ook him down to the water, he walked in up to his chest and lower e d Kurt down into it. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have done it!”

Kurt could hear everything - the rabbit running through the forest , the fish under water, the breeze blowing through the trees and Wesley’s heart beating a mile a minute. He smelled fear on Wesley. Then, it was gone. The pain subsided and Kurt looked at Wesley’s beautiful face. “Wesley?”

Wesley pulled Kurt up and into his arms, holding him tight. “Oh God, are you all right?”

“Holy shit,” Kurt panted. “That fucking hurt !”

Wesley caressed Kurt’s face, kissing him.

  “It’s not over yet, Kurt.”

“What?” The snap in his spine made Kurt scream . He cried out, his fingers digging into Wesley’s shoulders. Bones broke and muscles stretched. He was vaguely aware of Wesley picking him up and taking him back to shore. His face was on fire. Kurt looked at his hands and saw they were in black and white. He looked into Wesley’s eyes, there was sadness in them.

“Wesley…” Kurt reached out to him. Another snap in his leg put him on his back on the ground, writ h ing in pain as his body continued to go through the shift .

Wesley sat as close as he could, crying. He heard footsteps running through the trees and then Wayne and Conner skidded to a stop at the edge of the trees with Au stin and Tucker right behind them . “He’s shifting!” Wesley shouted.

Wayne ran over and knelt down next to Kurt, assessing him. “He’s about done.” Wayne looked up at Wesley. “He’ll be okay, he’s strong .”
/>   Wesley felt arms coming around him and closed his eyes as Tucker’s voice spoke in his ear. “He’s going to be fine, he wanted this.”

Kurt howled in pain and then his body shifted all at once. He rested on the ground panting , seeing Wesley in black and white. Wesley was on him in seconds, holding him tight, saying over and over again that he was sorry .

Tucker looked at Austin’s face; his hands were up at his mouth and his eyes were wide.

“Are you sure this is what you want?” Tucker motioned to Kurt in wolf form.

Austin looked at Kurt, then back at Tucker. “Yes.”

“Let’s get him back to the cabin.” Wayne stood up, putting his hand on Wesley’s shoulder. “He’s going to be just fine; you’ve got a strong one there.”

“Pffft…strong ? That hurt like h ell!” Kurt snorted.

Wayne chuckled. “See? He’s just fine.”

“What? What did I miss?” Austin looked at all the guys laughing.

“Kurt’s lovely sarcasm,” Tucker smiled, taking Austin’s hand. “Come on, let’s go to bed.”

Wesley sat with Kurt as the rest of them left. Kurt was up and trying to walk on four legs instead of two. Wesley laughed when Kurt’s legs went out to the side and he landed on his belly.

  “That’s not funny,” Kurt growled.

Wesley fell over laughing. “And you thought your parents would have a cow to find out you were gay? Wait until they see this!”

“Ha, ha,” Kurt bit Wesley’s ass. “Ow!” Wesley cracked up.

  “I’m tired now,” Kurt sighed.

“I know, babe, let’s get back up to the cabin . You should be shifting back soon.”

  “Oh, that’s just wonderful.”

“I’ll be there with you. I won’t ever leave you, not ever.”

“I love you, Wesley,” Kurt huffed, nuzzling Wesley’s face.

  “I love you, too.”

  Chapter Nine

The trip back from Denali had been interesting. Kurt had fidgeted the whole time, his lupine side wanting to break free on the plane. Wesley had kept him calm . Well, Wesley had made out with him.

Now it was back to business as usual. Tucker smiled as Austin threw his clothes on for work. He looked better and had been cleared to go back for limited duty . Tu cker had plans for them to have a romantic evening, and then he would bite Austin. Even after their experience in Denali, Austin still wanted to go through with it. Tucker had never had something like that - someone who would go through anything for him. Tucker helped Austin put his shoes on and looked up as he tied them.

“So, tonight we make love,” Tucker grinned.

“Yes, I’m only working a half shift, so I should be home by seven.” Austin ran his fingers through Tucker’s hair. For two weeks, he and Kurt would work half day s and they were not allowed to go out on calls. Both of them had to see the department ’s shrink before they were allowed to go back to work full time.

Tucker stood up and fixed Austin’s shirt. “You look handsome.”

“So do you, Officer Storm, ” Austin smiled. “Are you sure you’re okay taking so much time off?”

“Yes, Captain said take as much as we need . Nicholas has our back at the department. He told everyone that Wesley and I are dating firemen and that they had been hospitalized, ” Tucker grinned. “Besides, Wayne send s us money once a month from the stocks he invested for us , so I can afford a few days with no pay .”

“What?” Austin asked. “Like how much money?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know,” Tucker laughed, kissing the tip of Austin’s nose .

“How old is Wayne? He looks thirty.”

“He was born in Ireland,” Tucker paused. “In 1846.”

Austin’s eyes went wide. “He’s…” Austin did the math in his head. “One hundred and sixty six?”

Tucker nodded. “He looks great, huh?”

“No wonder he said we’d have to watch people die.” Austin sank down on the couch.

“Are you okay? You can still change your mind, ” Tucker assured him .

Austin looked up at Tucker, took his hand and pull ed him down to his knees in front of him. “I do want this; I …love you, Tucker.”

“You do? I mean… I kind of hoped you did, especially if you were going to go through all this for me.”

“I’m going through all of this for us , ” Austin smiled, running his fingertips over Tucker’s lips.

“I love you, too, Austin. I’m sorry I didn’t say it before; I didn’t want to scare you away.”

“It’s okay, I think I knew. When you came to the hospital, I could see it in your eyes.” Austin narrowed his eyes. “Speaking of which, why didn’t you just give me some blood, huh?”

Tucker chuckled. “Because that wouldn’t look suspicious at all, would it?”

  “Point taken,” Austin laughed .

“So, when you get home - dinner and then sex , ” Tucker waggled his eyebrows.

“Can’t we have dinner while having sex?” Austin laughed.

“Mmm… eating a steak off your ass is a tantalizing thought .”

“Perv.” Austin kissed Tucker and grabbed his duffel bag. “See you tonight, sexy.”

Austin made his way into the kitchen to see Kory sipping a cup of coffee. He grabbed his travel mug and filled it .

“So Kurt says I get to come with you guys today, just to see how things go , ” Kory grinned.

“Yep, you ready?” Austin put the cap on his cup.

“Yep.” Kory jumped up, swigging the remaining coffee in his cup.

“Okay, campers.” Kurt came out of the bedroom with Wesley right behind him. “Let’s go look over paperwork and check rundown buildings!” Kurt chuckled.

Austin pulled Kurt aside. “You sure you’re ready to go back?”

“Yep, I’m managing just fine. My inner wolf is contained, ” Kurt said, smiling at Austin. “Pretty soon, you get to take a walk on the wild side, too.”

  “I do, ” Austin said.

“Okay, let’s go!” Kory walked out the door.

Wesley kissed Kurt. “Have a good day.”

“You too, see you tonight at the condo ?”

  “You bet .”

~~ Kurt pulled into bumper to bumper traffic . They sat in the cab of the truck watching cars inch by. Hi s phone rang and he looked at the caller ID.

  “Dean?” Kurt asked.

“Hey man, the chief told me to call you guys. Since you’re on paper duty, he wanted you guys to meet him at an abandoned building down by the pier . He’s with the fire investigators - said something about it being tagged unsaf e? He wants you guys to help him out , you know?”

“Yeah, uh huh, sure, ” Kurt snickered. “Just give Austin the address.” Kurt handed the phone to Austin.

  “What’s up?” Kory asked.

“We’re on our way to look over a building, isn’t this fun?” Kurt chuckled. “It’s bullshit; there is a party about to be had.”

  “Huh?” Kory tilted his head.

“When Preston came back to work after being hurt , we threw him a huge party in an abandoned building. This is so obvious.”

By the time they made it to the building on the pier, it was nearing noon. Kurt jumped out of the truck and shielded his eyes from the sun. It was hotter than hell outside. Austin gr abbed the clipboard and they walked toward the building. A notice from the city was on the do or, pro claiming the building condemned . Kurt tried the door and found it open.

  “So obvious, ” Austin chuckled.

“Sh hhh ! Act surprised.” Kurt walked in to the building with Austin and Kory following. He stopped and narrowed his eyes. It was dark . Sunlight barely filtered through the small cracks in the ceiling. An overwhelming smell of gasoline wafted up his nostrils.

  “Get out!” Kurt shouted.

The door to the building slammed shut behind them as Kurt ran for it. He tried kicking it down , to no avail. Kurt closed his eyes, sending a mental message to Wesley.
“We’re in trouble.”

Before he got an answer, a movement caught his eye . Dean Anderson stood with a Molotov cocktail in his hand , t he gasoline -soaked rag swaying from the mouth of the bottle. “Anderson ? What are you doing?”

Austin pushed Kory behind him, h is eyes scanning the building for a way out.

  “Let us out, Dean.”

Dean chuckled maniacally. “And miss the show? I think not.” He walked around them. “You think I’m worthless, don’t you? I got my ass handed to me by all the guys because you could have died, Jacobson. Like the world would have missed another faggot. You make me sick, you and yo ur little cop buddies - even your brother is gay , Maguire .”

“What?” Kurt reached for Kory, tuckin g him safely behind him.

“Oh, didn’t you know? Kory had a little rendezvous with a man twice, isn’t that right little Maguire?” Dean snarled.

“I don’t give a shit if he’s gay or not asshole, now let us out, ” Kurt snarled back. “You’re fucking crazy! You can’t even do your job without freezing up!”

“I love the way flames roll upward, singeing everything in their path ; it’s fucking beautiful , ” Dean sighed .

“Oh fuck, you’re the arsonist,” Austin whispered.

“Hell, yeah I am!” Dean laughed loudly. “I fucking love it! The gorgeous yellow and orange flame s , the heat, the absolute power of it.” Dean grabbed his cock. “Fuck , it’s a turn on.”

“You are one sick son of a bitch!” Kurt hissed . “Let us the fuck out of here; you don’t want to see me pissed off, Dean!” Kurt sent Wesley a nother mental message, telling him where they were.

“I’m already on my way,” Wesley said.

Dean lifted his hand to the bottle and Austin could see a lighter. “Don’t do this . I t’s murder.”

“Like I give a shit? How many people have I killed already?” Dean grinned. “Worthless, homeless assholes squatting! Served them right.”

The rag went up in flames and Dean tossed it behind Kurt, Austin and Kory. The fire blazed in seconds, blocking the exit. “Seem s like you can’t get out. Ooops, ” Dean grinned wide .

Austin opened his mouth to speak, but a loud crash stopped him. A wolf about the size of Wesley and Tucker , came through the hole it had just made and ran right for Kory , standing protectively in front of him .
