Ring of Madness Page 124

by Royden Labrosse

But while he was thinking about the benefits of well salted roses for the upbringing of children and surnames, it was too late: Vadim impudently climbed under his arm and slipped Yule in the lips a long straw.

  - Here, drink some juice. It's good, orange. And don't scare us like that again. The guv almost greened up while you were in a trance. But did it even help?

  - Ugh.

  * * *

I spit a straw to the side and smiled. Vadim is lovely.

  - It's okay, he's not scared. If his eyes were blue, then yes. And that would be fine with green. Maybe he'll paint himself blond, too. What were you worried about?

  - Me? For you? In your dreams! But next time, be careful.

  - And you take me off the table. What idiot put me here?!

  - Ahem, - Mechislav coughed confusedly.

  I straightened myself out immediately.

  - Good: who's the smartest and most worthy one, because of whom my whole ass got stuck and broke my back?! Didn't you have enough sofas?

Mechislav sighed and moved me to the sofa.

  - Julia, if you do that again, I'll rip your head off. Why couldn't I call you?

  - Because I called you," I answered. And I turned my head, looking for Clara. The fox was still lying on the bed. - So, you ready to confess?

  - I'm ready," Clara said. - I'll tell you all about it. Voluntarily. But our agreement is in force, do you understand, Leoverenskaya?

  I nodded.

  - What agreement? - I was interested in Mechislav.

  - For a quick and painless death. And the fact that I'm escorting her.

  - Showing her out? Where to?

  - To the team of labor. Do we have a lot of time to ask questions? Ramirez can come back, Vanya Tulsky is coming...

  Mecislav shaken his head.

  - You're right. Gentlemen, arrange everything for the deposition. Come on, now! This one's not untied yet. Julia, you...

  - If she leaves, I won't say a word, Clara interrupted him. - At least you cut me to pieces. Do you understand?

  Mechislav's frowned.

  - Okay. But she'll sit next to me. So you don't get stupid thoughts in your head.

  - I'm not going to kill her," Clara cried out. - She promised me something.

  - And I will keep what I promised," I cut it off. - I remember everything. So start telling me.

  Clara nodded.

  - Untie me. Otherwise, no one would believe it was voluntary. I don't know a young vampire with blond hair, another one flashed in Vadim's hand. Alexander was just taping the conversation. Someone else was recording after Clara.

  - Where do I start?

  - From Ramirez," said Miecislav. - How did he come to you in Tula?

Clara led chilly with her shoulders and began to talk.

  Leonid's version was fully confirmed.

This spring, Ivan Tulsky had problems with vampires from his branch of government. His subordinates pressed on the Prince's cruelty to the Council, and Ramirez flew to Tula.

Their decision was made in favor of Ivan Tulsky. The bastards quickly found a common language and began to communicate. In the age of the Internet and cell phones, it wasn't difficult.

That's when Leoverenski's name came up. Ramirez told Ivan Tulsky about me. And he has already passed the story to his vampires and ordered to look more attentively: suddenly there will be more people with similar abilities. It's not like I'm an unicum... I guess.

Diego flew to Tula with Ramirez. As an escort team. And he had his eye on Clara. They started to have a passionate love affair. First Diego went to Tula almost every weekend, and then he decided to buy back the toy in his full submission and began to negotiate with Ivan Tula. He didn't bargain much. And everything would have been fine if Slava had not come to the clinic where Clara's younger brother worked to treat his teeth. Naturally, Slava gave his last name. And Klara's brother (I always knew that all problems - from too active relatives!) was interested in such a coincidence. And he reported to his sister. Diego decided to use it to buy back his unseen. And Ivan Tulsky found out about Slavka. The brother was checked - quietly, so as not to make any noise. The vampires then rubbed his memory. Just a little bit. Just a couple of hours went to nowhere. If you drink more, you can forget all night. No power was found in Slava. And Ivan told Ramirez about it - like a sad curiosity. Here, they say, relatives, and how different.

Ramirez, who was negotiating with Mieczyslaw at the time, had already begun to understand that he could not get me. But he wanted to.

And two friends came up with a little set-up. They weren't going to devote a lot of people. That's why Ivan Tulsky, his assistants - Alexey and Mitrofan, Ramirez, Clara, her brother and Diego were involved. The rest of the werewolves, as well as Peter as the fox manager, were rented from Alfonso da Silva.

  - What are they, stuff?! - I was a little stunned at this place, but Mecislav made Clara a sign to continue, and he explained it in my ear:

  - Fluffy, it happens if someone has a job to which he does not want to devote his branch of power. The closest thing to you is mercenaries.

I nodded. And Clara's already told me more. She was the one we decided to bring to Slaveka. Diego, and she did not want to, but they did not dare to dedicate someone else. Besides, they were promised that if Clara was lucky, they would give Diego away forever. At least let him eat her with some porridge.

Besides, Clara had another valuable property: she could lie in the eyes of anyone. No one could tell the difference between the truth and the lie in her words.

Peter and Alfonso werewolves were not dedicated to details either. Diego gave them all the orders. And then everything went back to the script.

Slava fell in love. And he found out that there was a place for magic on earth. The lovers decided to run away. A chase? Yes, there was a chase.

Just out of the paddy. To destroy a couple of werewolves sent in pursuit of Leoverensky, Clara could have done it alone. And with Slavka's support and a silver bullet gun, all the more so. Tiredness, she played more than she really did. But I wasn't able to play at full strength.

  - Otherwise, you'd have been scraped off the wallpaper a long time ago," she snorted in my direction. - Ivan Tulsky ordered me to just feel you. Not to maim.

  - I would have maimed you if I hadn't stopped," I resented. - You were already starting to swim away!

  Clara put her eyes down.

  - Yes. But I could have put you down with brute force. Would you be able to conjure up a concussion?

  - I hope I don't have to check it out. And how did you two contact each other?

  - Diego could have been walking in other people's dreams.

  - Yeah. As long as he was alive, there was a connection. And then that's it.

  Clara nodded.

  - Ramirez ordered you to be kidnapped. You know the rest.

  - Not all of it," said Mecislav. - What did Ramirez promise Ivan Tulsky?

  - Your land. And part of your people.

  - And the rest?

  - Some of them would have been killed, some of them would have gotten Alfonso da Silva.

  - Can you do it again in front of the Council vampires?

  - When?

  - Today," said Mecislav. - They'll be here today. At the same time as the Prince of Tula. Julia, let's go!

He pulled me from my chair and pulled my hand out into the corridor.

  - Get the tape ready for me!

I was thrown in the air before I could even meow. You bet you did, and I'd have a concussion.

  - Julia! It's a victory! I'm calling one of the Council members, sending the tape, and let them fly here!

  I rolled my eyes.

  - What for?!

  - What do you mean?!

  - The village! Why do you have webcams?! Install five of them bigger and bigger and you don't have to wait. We can deal with both Ramirez and Ivan separately when he arrives. And the gentlemen from the Council will have a telebridge! They won't object!

  M
echislav thought and nodded.

  - Perhaps we can do that. I'll go, I'll order it.

  - Feed me, plizz-z... I'm still alive. And I'm hungry. Mechislav nodded and waved at someone.

  - Yulka? Hello!

Nadia. And why am I not surprised?

  - Nice, tailbone.

  - Nadia, take a friend, feed her and send Tatiana to her. Have her pick up Curly's dress for tonight. We're going to have...

  - Shocks. So it's better the construction version with the helmet, I interrupted. - And an unbiteable one.

Who else would listen to me?!

  * * *

We managed to organize the teleconference very quickly - Lenka got hooked.

Meanwhile, I was mocked by a whole gang of werewolves led by Nadia and Tanya. Women dressed me in a dress like Japanese - a kind of black case just above my knees with embroidery in the form of a golden tiger on his shoulder and somewhere gleaming beads. The sleeves are short. The fabric is a kind of satin: so smooth and slightly shiny, dense structure. I looked pale in it. But the high gate hid the bite on the neck perfectly. Mecislav's bastard, he couldn't get to another place!

  - What is he, a dog to you?

  - No, crocodile, - I snapped at him. - Am I talking out loud?

  - Or am I not? - Nadia mocked me. - You're talking. Or are you talking?

  - You're going to be here.

The dress had sandals on stilettos so you could use them instead of skewers. And a little purse that only contained a handkerchief. Hardly anyway. But trying to scandalize didn't do anything. To bet five werewolves? That's not funny!

  - Now face and hair," said Lida, a lovely girl, and a fox. Don't fall, but not a prima, either. But pretty: red hair, brown eyes, freckles on a chicken nose... Something like Reese Witherspoon, but much prettier.

  - Why don't we have a fight? - I got bored.

That wasn't it. My shitheads got my hair tall and stuck at least 30 studs in it. We'll have to tell Mieczysław to give me a set of these silver torture tools. We'll have to do my hair anyway, but this way I won't be completely defenseless.

Make-up. Strongly underlined eyes. Almost Japanese anime. And pale lips, slightly touched by the cold pearl shine. And there's this fateful beauty looking at me from the mirror. Well, a beautiful dress would make a man out of Cinderella, too.

That's the final touch. With the front closed, the dress had a healthy neckline in the back. All over the back. From the neck to the waist and even a little lower. It was simply held on the neck with a collar and on the butt with a short zipper. So the underwear had to be abandoned. I mean, at all. You could even see the string panties from under the dress. And the fabric was tight.

  - What did you girls make of me? - I woke up, last time I looked in the mirror, doomedly.

  - The favorite toy of the mafia, - printed Nadia. - Dry up and let me zip up the jewellery.

  I obeyed.

The jewellery turned out to be huge earrings-rings with complex ornaments, repeating the embroidery on the dress, judging by the gravity - in pure gold. But when I asked where my ears would be sewn, Nadia turned her finger at the temple.

  - Yulka, you're just as bad with your paintings! These earrings are blown. And they're even light. They won't tear your lobe, don't be nervous! Here, put your bracelet rings on, huh?

Compared to the bracelets, the earrings were really light. Bracelets?

Imagine a bracelet five or six centimetres wide and at least an inch thick. And pure gold. Yeah? The convicts' shackles were lighter, too. On the other hand, if anything, you can just carelessly swing a pen. When hitting the teeth of an opponent, the poor guy has long visits to the dentist and an oral jaw.

And pieces of four rings. Heavy golden ring with a tiger face and black stones instead of eyes. Square black stone in wide frame. A strip of gold in the tone of bracelets and earrings. And a black metal ring with a large yellow stone.

  Beautiful.

  It's expensive.

  It's uncomfortable!

But I didn't protest either. Obviously, I am the property of Mieczysław. Dear toy. And that's what the Council members should see. So we have to keep silent, and if we say smart things, it's in Mieczysław's ear. You can only say three phrases loudly: "Hee-hee...", "Oh, really?!" and "How clever you are!"

It's more than enough to talk to most guys. And with a friend at the institute, we even once bet on a hamburger that she would talk to a guy for half an hour and never say another word.

  I bet she wouldn't.

  - Curly, you ready?

Mecislav quickly entered the room, and I choked to death with delight.

He was so delightful, it was breathtaking. Kind of nothing special: black trousers made of some velvety material tighten the legs... and everybody's tight. And tucked into low, mid-belly, cuffed boots. The lapels are richly embroidered with gold embroidery. No more gold in his outfit. The black silk shirt is unbuttoned to the middle of the chest and opens a smooth golden skin. There are three rings of jewelry. A ring of gold with a tiger's head. Black ring with green stone in tone with eyes. Emerald? Such a toy and the Hermitage would not bend. The stone was the size of a phalanx of my finger. And a gold ring with a black print stone, the same square as mine.

Black hair shattered on the shoulders with gorgeous curls. Advertising models can cry in the corner at the sight of the shimmering silk of his hair.

It's very simple. And at the same time... what's his charm? Some kind of magic? Or is it a combination of black, gold - and suddenly bright green eyes?

Or is it his gracefulness? Just as in a zoo you stop in admiration of a cage with big predatory cats - so with Medislav? Grace, grace, sharpness of every movement in the deadly plastic of the predator?

  Deadly. But so beautiful...

Now we have to get a grip on ourselves and tell the vampire to stay calm. Otherwise, you start smiling. You're not wearing caries! And "Blendamedamed" with soda and calcium!

  - That's awesome! Why, do the rings go like engagement rings? The ones that are paired?

  - If that's what you want, Fluffy, - shrugged Mecislav. - If you want, we can even get married.

  - And go on a wedding trip to the Pole. In the summer.

  - It's better in winter," said the vampire. - I can stay awake for 24 hours. And all this time will be dedicated only to you. Imagine: you and I, together all the time...

  - We're hunting seals," I snapped at the imagination. Don't, here.

  no need

to imagine how a vampire can take up free time. Maybe he likes to embroider with a cross! Or jigsaw it! Why does it have to be sex?! Could there be other interests in life?

  - Why on seals? - The vampire was worried for a moment.

  - I mean, does one have to drink blood from someone? You'll have enough polar explorers for two weeks, and then?

The vampire winked at me, leaned over and whispered in my ear:

  - And then you'll have critical days.

And the villain laughed, dodged a slap on the head with his purse. That's it, you bastard, you got it!

Mechislav dodged a couple more times, and then he caught me by the shoulders and firmly pressed me to himself. I tried to swing my purse, but it wasn't there. No power in the swing!

  - Let me go," I stuttered. - I'm gonna give you an anaesthetic without anaesthesia! You will forever forget how to laugh at such things!

  - I've already forgotten," the vampire calmed me down. - Honestly! I tried to kick with my foot, but where is it going? Stupid studs! And if I step on it?!

A second later, Mechislav also deprived me of this opportunity - just a little up in the air.

  - That's it, Fluffy! Playing games later. Calm down.

I wasn't going to listen to the voice of a vampire. Settle down nicely! He's gonna give birth! And every month it's "happiness" with gaskets!

Mechislav shaken me once again, and then just wrapped one hand around his waist, even harder pressed against him, the other hand held the back of his head s
o that I did not turn around, and kissed.

With a deep, predatory, and even slightly cruel kiss, demanding unconditional obedience, biting my lips, not to the blood, but sensitive. The vampire penetrated deeply into my mouth with strong rhythmic tremors of his tongue imitating coition, stopped for a moment, and then demanded an even more aggressive response and submission.

  And I gave up.

The body became soft and as if stuck to Mieczysław. His hands clinged to the belt of his pants. His lips moved, responding to a ruthless kiss. Resistance? What is it? What is it for?

Why resist when you can just relax in strong male hands and have fun?

That's what I did, but not for long. Mechislav suspended me at arm's length and looked carefully into my face.

  - So, the hair, the makeup - everything's fine. We're good to go. Julia, do me a favor:

  not a Council scandal!

Otherwise you'll lead us both to our graves. In all senses of the word.

I nodded, gradually coming to my senses.

  - You bastard after all!

  - And my jokes are stupid. I know. But not now. Julia, get it together. I'm sorry if I offended you, but now we really don't have time for anything more.

  Ugh.

  Chapter 10.

Tip to you and love... Tip to vampires. And who is love with?

We waited for Ramirez together. He must have traveled around town, called his capture team, realized that everything was pointless, and decided to come back. The driver, one of the Lazy Werewolves, told us about it. And we waited. Mieczyslaw was actively negotiating with someone from the Council, using a web camera, while I was sitting in the next room. For there's no reason to glow early.

Then I got a call on my phone, and I looked at the number.

  It's lazy. Is it time?

  It's time.

I resolutely entered the office of Mieczysław.

  - Honey," I purred, purring, actively clinging to the vampire with my whole body and showing my closeness to the highest echelons of power in general, "Ramirez has arrived.

The vampire looked at me positively from the healthy monitor. If it's a councilman, I don't want them to reproduce.
