“So tell us how you got into the restaurant business,” Scott said as they dug into their salads.

“Well, I started working in restaurants in high school as a hostess. When I turned eighteen, I became a server and then moved into bartending and cocktail waitressing when I was in community college, trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Funny thing was, here I was trying out all these different courses, looking for one that fit me, when all along I’d already found it. I had just never considered working in restaurants to be a career.”

“Were you always a good cook? How did you move from waitressing to cooking?”

Kelly laughed. “By default, actually, and no, I haven’t always been a good cook. When I started in the restaurant in high school, I could hardly boil water. But I was moved from waitressing into pseudo-management at the restaurant, and figured out how much I liked working with the guys in the kitchen and how much I was coming to hate serving customers. So I started spending more time in the back of the house, talking to the cooks and learning how to prepare the food, and the bug bit me. I was hooked.” She smiled, remembering the day it had finally hit her that she wanted to do this work full-time.

“I graduated from the community college in May of that year and entered the Niagara Culinary Institute in June. It wasn’t easygoing, I can tell you that much. Luckily I had a kind of a mentor at the restaurant I was working in at the time, and he helped me so much. The program I was in is called Chef Training. You don’t specialize in one thing, like you might at a Culinary Institute of America school. So I spent a year there, plus an apprenticeship, and learned all the ins and outs of being a chef and running a restaurant.”

“And the rest is history,” Leo finished, grinning.

Scott nodded. “Delicious history.” Tilting his head, he said, “When did you open up Kelly’s? We’ve been coming there for over a year, but you weren’t brand-new when we discovered you.”

“I opened a year and a half ago. I worked in a bunch of local kitchens, but the itch to strike out on my own, to be my own boss, just got too tempting. Right around the time the owner at the restaurant I was working in asked me to use fat-free sour cream in my apple pie, I realized I needed to get out of there.”

Leo grabbed his chest. “Fat-free sour cream? How dare they!”

“It isn’t the same!” Kelly insisted. “He was trying to make his menu healthier, and though I certainly applaud him for that, there are some things you can’t change without making a fundamental difference in the taste.”

Leo smirked, and Scott cuffed him on the arm. “Hey dude, don’t make fun of her. You won’t even get a new jock, despite the fact yours has been sewn up, what, a dozen times?”

“I’m superstitious. That cup has been with me since I got into the NHL.”

Kelly screwed up her nose at the image. “That’s just gross, Leo.” She shifted in her chair a little to relax until their steaks came. “So tell me the Scott-and-Leo story. How long have you two been living together?”

“Well, I’ve been on the team for nine years,” Leo said, “and Scott has been for eight years. Usually when goaltenders are sharing ice time, they don’t get all buddy-buddy with each other, but Scott and I just clicked. I had an extra room in my apartment, so Scott moved in while he looked for a place of his own. By the time he had time to really look in the off-season, though, it seemed stupid for him to leave when our arrangement was working so well.”

“And when did you…” Kelly found she couldn’t force the words past her suddenly dry lips. She picked up her wine and took a healthy sip.

“Start sharing?” Leo supplied. Kelly nodded and he shrugged. “Probably a few months after he moved in, right?” He glanced at Scott, and Kelly saw he was wearing a cat-that-ate-the-canary grin. “I was fucking this girl in the apartment, right over the arm of the couch, and Scott came home earlier than expected. Being the gentleman that he is”— Leo rolled his eyes, as Scott just chuckled—“he started for his room, but wouldn’t you know it, the girl asks him if he wants to join in. As you know, he’s not a stupid man, so he said yes and she sucked his cock while I fucked her pussy.”

“Didn’t it bother you to both be having sex with the same woman?”

Leo had the grace to look chagrined. “Well, it’s sort of common in hockey to share women. Though we’d never shared with each other, each of us had shared a woman with a teammate on more than one occasion. The first time I did it I was seventeen.”

  “Seventeen? Jeez, Leo!”

He shrugged and Scott cut in. “I was twenty-four the first time I had the experience. It’s hard to explain, but it’s really a turn-on for me to see you with Leo.”

“Me, too. Well, I mean—you with Scott. He’s my best friend. Why wouldn’t I want to share my lover with him?”

“Why indeed,” Kelly answered with a dry tone. “And the rest is history…”

Leo laughed. “And the rest is history.”

Their steaks came, and each of them tucked into their meals with gusto. The guys continued to pepper her with questions about everything from religion to pop culture to current events. Before she knew it, the server was clearing the plates and asking if they’d like dessert. Kelly rubbed her stomach, groaning. “There’s no way more food is going to fit in here.”

Leo chuckled. “Just the check then, I guess.”

Scott guided her into the backseat after they rolled their stuffed carcasses to the car. Turning to her, he plunged one hand into her hair and took her hands in his other one. “We want to make love to you. Will you let us? We want to bring you so much pleasure you’re drowning in it.”

“I want that, too. I want you both.”

  “Our place or yours?”

“Yours. I don’t have any supplies.”

“Punch it,” Scott told Leo, and Leo saluted, pulling out of the parking space like his Range Rover was on fire. Kelly grabbed for her seat belt, managing to get it around her as Leo pulled back onto Franklin Street. The drive to their waterfront penthouse took less than ten minutes, and soon Leo was parking in his reserved space in the secured parking lot.

Scott pulled her out of the car and walked with her to the door. Both guys kept their hands to themselves all the way up the elevator, but when the door to the apartment shut behind them, it was like a switch had been turned on. Leo came up behind her and removed her coat while Scott attacked the buttons on the front of the dress, right there in the foyer. “You need to be naked.”

“I’m not going to be the only one, I hope.”

“Fuck no, honey, but you’re gonna be the first.”

Leo crouched at her feet and helped support her as she stepped out of the dress. Rising, he lifted her with shocking ease and carried her into the bedroom, throwing her onto the bed and following shortly thereafter, as a huff of laughter escaped her. He covered her, his weight pressed dominantly over hers, and attacked the slim column of her neck with long sweeps of his tongue and little nips with his lips and teeth. Kelly looked up to find Scott next to the bed, shucking his clothes while he watched his friend kiss her. When he was naked, she gave him a thorough perusal and then watched as he fisted his cock, spreading the gathering pre-cum over the plum-colored head.

Leo turned, seeing her staring at Scott, and chuckled. “You like what you see? Why don’t you go investigate it a little closer?” He rolled off of her and then onto the floor and began to dispose of his own clothing as she crawled toward Scott, her eyes fixated on the long, thick pillar of flesh he stroked ever so slowly.

She licked her lips and he groaned. “You’re killing me.” Taking her hand, he guided it to his cock and let her take over, as he thrust into her fist. “Will you suck my cock? I missed you so much.”

“I want to,” she admitted. “I want to taste you.”

Scott groaned again and guided her down onto his cock. “Fuck yes, that’s it, baby. You make me feel so good.” She hummed and he gasped, sinking further into her mouth to the point
where she had to consciously open her throat and stifle her gag reflex. He moved back immediately. “I’m sorry, baby, it just feels so fucking good. It’s been days since I had my dick in your mouth, and my control isn’t great.”

She pulled off him long enough to say, “I’m not going to break, Scott, you don’t have to be gentle with me.”

He tipped up her chin. “Be careful what you wish for.” With that, he plunged back into her mouth.

Leo pushed her thighs apart from behind her and sought out her wetness. “Shit, man, she’s soaking.”

  “So do something about it.”

Kelly felt his tongue lapping at her pussy and released a strangled cry, her mouth still full of Scott’s cock. Scott hissed and continued to pump into her mouth with slow, deep strokes. Soon, she heard the crinkle of a condom wrapper, and then Leo was pushing into her from behind. Scott helped her brace her arms on the edge of the bed, as Leo pulled back and then plunged forward again.

The combination of having Scott in her mouth and Leo in her pussy sent her already frazzled nerve endings into overdrive. Then Leo reached down and began to make small, tight circles around her clit, and she flew apart, moaning around Scott’s cock as her muscles milked Leo. Both men stiffened, and Scott’s semen poured onto her waiting tongue while Leo’s filled the condom. When Scott was finally finished, he staggered back a step, his now-softening cock falling out of her mouth.

“Kelly…” was all Scott got out as he struggled for breath. She turned and flopped onto her back on the bed, watching each man in turn as they came back to Earth. Scott leaned against the wall and Leo was sitting back on his heels.

Leo turned and smirked. “You are far too alert. Obviously, you need more orgasms.”

“It would take an awful lot of orgasms to make me lose consciousness,” Kelly retorted, giggling.

“Is that a challenge?” He looked at Scott. “I think our girl just threw down the gauntlet.”

“Gimme another minute and I’ll take it up.”

“I’ll get rid of this and then I’ll help.”

Kelly found herself with a silly grin on her face. She’d already come tonight, and it looked like the guys were nowhere near done with her. Sure enough, Leo returned and grabbed her ankles, pulling her down until her legs were hanging off the end of the bed. “What was this about a challenge?”

“I didn’t—” The rest of her protest was cut off when he separated the swollen lips of her pussy and swept his tongue through. Her back arched, and he grabbed her hips, keeping her in place for his relentless assault.

Scott pushed away from the wall, climbing onto the bed again. “No matter. I can catch up.” Plumping her breast just as Leo had done earlier, he took it into his mouth and began a series of hard pulls. The sensations flew straight to her pussy and combined with the magic of Leo’s mouth to create a maelstrom of pleasure. Scott switched to the other breast, covering the first with his hand, and Leo pushed two fingers into her pussy. Her breathing sped up as the men continued to work her.

“Can I try this?” Leo asked her, lightly circling her anus with a finger.

  “Yes, just don’t stop.”

He chuckled a little, and if she hadn’t been so lost in the sensations, she would’ve kicked him. “Honey, we’re not gonna stop until we’ve wrung every last shred of pleasure out of your delectable body.”

Scott tossed something over her head to Leo. Catching it with one hand, he popped the cap and poured some onto his fingers, then dropped the bottle on the floor. Returning to her, he gently pressed his finger to her ass, and she jumped a little. “Shhhh,” Leo soothed her. “It’s lube. It’ll make things easier.”

  “It’s cold.”

She could hear the humor in his voice when he answered, “It’ll warm up quick.”

Sure enough, as Leo’s finger easily slid into her channel, the entire area got very warm. “Feels good but weird.”

“Give me a minute,” Leo replied, and then fastened his mouth to her clit. Her back arched again, and Leo slung an arm over her torso and began to lightly suck on her clit. He moved the fingers in both her pussy and her ass, fucking in and out in turn. Scott continued his attention to her breasts, moving back and forth between them quickly. It only took a scant few moments for her cells to sing, as the familiar sensations of her release built up.

Leo turned the fingers in her pussy slightly, and she cried out, chanting his name again and again as he worked her higher and higher. Scott kissed her, swallowing her refrain, and then suddenly the dam broke loose and she shattered. She found herself lying on the bed, Leo stroking her forehead. She focused on him and saw a tender expression in his dark eyes. Her heart leapt before she dismissed the look as nothing more than postcoital bliss. He leaned down and brushed his lips over hers. “Can you stay the night with us?”

“Yeah, I don’t need to be at the restaurant until late morning.”

“Perfect. We’ve got practice around the same time. Sleep, and tomorrow we’ll drop you off at your place on the way to the rink.”

  “I can’t argue with that.”

Scott tucked the blankets around her, and she fell right to sleep.

  Chapter Nine

The plumber was coming to install the new toilet in the tiny bathroom in the break room, so Kelly was forced to use the one in the front of the house during the next night’s dinner shift. She finished her business, and as she came up to the sink to wash her hands, a woman gave her the stink eye. Taken aback, she said, “Am I in your way?” She moved as far as she could and still reach the sink.

“So, are you fucking both of them?”

Her mouth fell open. “Excuse me?”

“I saw you out last night with Leo Laporte and Scott Schaeffer, so I was just wondering. Are you fucking them? They share. And I’d know.” The woman threw a significant look over her shoulder at Kelly, who was rooted to the spot, unable to believe she was even having this conversation.

  “I—”

“You probably think you have something special, but when it gets out that you took both of them on at once, you’ll be labeled a whore. Trust me on that.” The woman dried her hands with a paper towel as Kelly continued to stand there, her mouth agape. “Dump them now while you can, honey. They’re good-time boys—players. Maybe you thought you were different because they agreed to be seen out in public with you, but you’re not. They’ll never settle down. Can you imagine that, really? Two guys and one girl, happily ever after?” The woman sneered and gave Kelly a once-over. “Not likely.”

She left the bathroom, and Kelly had to lean on the wall for support. One word kept repeating in her head like some twisted mantra. Whore. Would that really happen? Would people call her a whore if they knew?

With shaking hands, Kelly washed up and returned to the kitchen. Bonnie looked at her in concern. “You okay?”

“I’m fine.” Kelly walked right past her without stopping and made for her office, shutting the door behind her. She sank down in her desk chair and turned it away from the door and toward the opposite wall, as if it held the answers to her problems. The phone rang, and she was startled out of her stupor. She picked it up on the second ring. “Kelly’s.”

“Hello, may I speak with the owner?”

  “This is her.”

“My name is Roger. I cover hockey for the Buffalo Courier.”

  “Uh-huh…”

“It’s recently come to my attention that you may be”—he paused, and Kelly’s eyes closed in mortification—“involved with both Leo Laporte and Scott Schaeffer. Can you comment on that?”

  “Excuse me?”

“Are you the reason Leo Laporte’s game has been going downhill as of late?”

“Whether or not Leo plays well has nothing to do with me!” She could feel her anger rising and knew she needed to get off the phone before she said something she’d regret. Her business couldn’t afford to make enemies at the local newspaper, no matter what department they worked in or how much of
a slimeball the guy was. She wondered idly if the woman who she’d seen in the bathroom had called this guy to tip him off. Who would do something like that, though?

“Can I quote you on that?”

Kelly took a deep breath. “I have no comment. I’m a busy woman with a restaurant to run, so I’m hanging up now.” She tossed the receiver back in the cradle before the guy could get another word in. Shaking, she rubbed her hands up and down her arms. What would she do if it got out that she was with both of them? Surely they would survive the scandal, but would she?

Knowing there was no use in trying to get any office work done, Kelly went back out into the kitchen. Hopefully keeping busy would help put her mind at ease a little. When her cell buzzed in her pocket a few hours later, though, she was still so jittery she nearly sliced her thumb off. Fishing the phone out of her front pants pocket, she answered it.

“Did some guy named Roger talk to you?” Leo demanded.

  “Yeah, he called earlier.”

“What did he say? Did he ask questions?”

“Hang on.” She motioned for one of the prep cooks to take over for her and slunk into her office, sliding down the wall until she was sitting cross-legged on the floor. Her limbs felt too heavy to hold her up. “I didn’t tell him anything.”

“That wasn’t my question, Kelly. My question was, what did he ask you?”

“He alluded to us being involved and then asked if I was the reason your game has gone downhill in the past couple of weeks.”

Leo let out a string of curses that would’ve done a sailor proud before continuing. “When he asked me the same thing, I told that little prick to mind his own business.”

“Which of course he won’t, since he’s a journalist, and it’s his job to uncover stories.”
