I hope you all enjoyed Logan, my broken boy. If you did, please, please, please consider leaving a review. They are THE lifeblood of Indie Authors. Thank you from the bottom of my book-writing heart.

I hope I portrayed the addiction cycle to its credit. I’ve found that many people don’t understand that there are often underlying issues going on that drive the addiction. Addicts often hurt those around them as much as they hurt themselves. Addicts can be impulsive, unwilling to admit their addictions, unable to face the source of the addiction, and many hide their use until it’s too late. The relapse rate I quoted was the latest average, but that’s only of the addicts that seek professional help. The latest information I found stated there were over 30 million Americans age 12 and over that used drugs recently. That’s an insane amount of people. If you or someone you know are fighting addiction, please don’t try to do it alone. The first step can be calling the National Helpline Number 888-633-3239. There is also the Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health Treatment Facility Locator (SAMHSA) 800-662-HELP (4357).

On a cheerier note, I established my first newsletter! If you want to stay in the know, go to my Facebook page, webpage or in my Facebook group to sign up for my newsletter!

All the ladies at Hot Tree Editing make me truly look like a professional. Thank you for putting up with my repeated mistakes. Yes, I know I should’ve learned from some of them by now but I’m stubborn. I also know there are probably so many errors in this you’re probably cringing! Haha! <3

A huge thank you to “Porn Star Hubby.” My biggest promoter, best friend, and fan. I love you. Thank you for being proud of each of my accomplishments! Thank you to my kiddos for not being embarrassed that your mom writes “those dirty books.” I’m laughing so hard.

To the authors who have taken time out of their days to answer questions and offer support—you are AMAZING! My circle of author friends is the best. Sybil Bartel—you have been a mentor, and a Godsend. Your advice, encouragement, and constructive criticism were priceless as always. Thanks for our talks and for all your help making my blurbs almost as kick-ass as yours! Readers: check out her books! You won’t be disappointed.

  V. Kelly I love you bunches!

Penny. You always believe in me, even when I don’t believe in myself. <3 You bring tears to my eyes with your faith and conviction that I’ll be a best-seller someday. I MISS YOU! Time to come back to night shift. I need my Alpha reader back!

Lisa and Brenda, my partners in crime for book signing events and life! I love you guys so much, you have no idea!

Clarise Tan, as always, you made my visions a reality! This one also included the photographic genius of Eric McKinney’s incredible photo of Chance. Eric, thank you for being a sweetheart and a pleasure to work with!

Stacey, you’re still a goddess. Champagne Friday is gonna happen for us one of these days! You always make the inside of my books gorgeous! Regardless of the things going on in your life, you come through with a bang—I could never convey the amount of thankfulness I feel for you. You’re still the best!

Ladies of Kristine’s Krazy Fangirls, you rock! (Couldn’t resist adding that to this one too. I’m easily amused.) Thanks for chilling in my corner with me. I thank you for your comments, your support and your love of books (not just mine!). Come join us if you’re not part of the group!

Logan is my only character to date that doesn’t have military service. To all of you servicemen and women, a huge thank you all for your service and sacrifice. I never forget you.

Kristine Allen lives in beautiful Central Texas with her adoring husband. They have four brilliant, wacky and wonderful children. She is surrounded by twenty six acres, where her seven horses, four dogs and four cats run the place. Kristine realized her dream of becoming a contemporary romance author after years of reading books like they were going out of style and having her own stories running rampant through her head. She works as a night nurse, but in stolen moments, taps out ideas and storylines until they culminate in characters and plots that pull her readers in and keep them entranced for hours.
