“Straight away, Saoiste,” he shouted as he scurried away.
“Bódearg’s a great Science Officer, but he couldn’t fly a starship to save his life,” Fionn said as he led John and Kate towards the concealed door in the platform, that Daman had disappeared through as soon as he’d been given command.. “Daman, on the other hand is an excellent pilot and commander, but enough of that, let’s get to my quarters.”
Epilogue
In the depths of Siberia, Russia, USSR, Earth
Monday 19th September 2005
JT in his persona of Mikhail Ivanov had flown from Nassau International Airport to London Heathrow and then after a short stopover, had flown on from there to Moscow. Landing at Sheremetyevo Airport an old friend had met him. ZZ was another Andromedan who JT had not known was on Earth and whom he’d met by chance whilst JT was assisting the Russians to win the war in Afghanistan. ZZ in his persona of Nikolai Kuznetsov had infiltrated the KGB and had risen to its highest rank, becoming its Chairman and when JT had told him of his plan to take control of the Earth for the benefit of the Andromedan race, ZZ had become an enthusiastic partner in the plan.
They had schemed and plotted for over thirty years and Mona McBeolain as the US President had been the lynchpin of their scheme. JT now feared that Mona was lost to their cause and had therefore been intrigued when he arrived in Russia to be told by ZZ that a potential ally had contacted him and proposed that they should meet.
“How did this person know of your presence on this planet, ZZ?” JT had asked.
“I don’t know, I wasn’t told,” ZZ informed him. ”I have also learned from a separate secret source that Mona McBeolain has been in Fianna custody and although she will be allowed to continue as the President of the USA, is under the strict supervision of the Fianna. Some good news however is that the Badhbh in Waiting and the Varn Pendron are missing, believed dead.”
“That is good news. This secret source, who are they?” JT then enquired.
“I gather they are an Aos Si Imperial,” ZZ answered. This surprised JT.
“Do you know who it is ?”
“No JT, Nor do I even know what sex they are. It was they however who advised me of this potential ally and arranged the meeting on their behalf.”
“Can we therefore assume that this potential ally is an Aos Si Imperial too?”
“I really don’t know JT. We will have to wait and see.”
That had been three days ago and now the two of them were awaiting in the comfortable reception room of ZZ’s dacha, for the arrival of their visitor. There was a knock at the door to the room.
“Enter!” ZZ barked.
“Your guest has arrived, Comrade Chairman,” an aide nervously announced, poking his head around the door.
“Send them in,” ZZ instructed.
A few moments later the door swung open and into the room walked the last person in the galaxy, that JT had expected it to be. A chill unexpectedly ran down the spine of the human body he inhibited and suddenly JT was very afraid.

Conn Mac Cumhaill’s Quarters on board the Claiomh Solais
“I owe both of you an explanation,” Conn Mac Cumhaill told Kate and John, when they were both seated comfortably in his quarters. “For you John, I’m afraid there’ll be a few shocks and possibly one or two for you too, Kate.” She noticed that Fionn’s Scottish accent was not so strong now. “My crew are Firbolgs, some of the last of their race. Once there were three clans that made up their nation, but now only one. The Aos Si and the Fomoire between them almost wiped them all out. As to why I am on board a Fomoire starship, well it’s mine, given to me by my wife, your grandmother John.”
John let that sink in for a moment or two, then looked at Kate, who encouraged him with her look, to ask the question that he really didn’t want to ask.
“Are you saying that your wife, my grandmother is Fomoire?”
“Yes, John. That’s exactly what I’m saying.”
The story will continue in ‘The Sword Of Light’
Book 2 of ‘The Sol 3 Agenda’
Author Bio
I live in Burton upon Trent, England, with my wife Lynne, son Mark and two tortoiseshell cats, Tansy and Zoe, who make life very entertaining at times.
I enjoy walking in the local area around Burton upon Trent which is in the National Forest. Having seen some of the National Forest plantations planted, it’s nice now to walk amongst the maturing trees. I volunteer at our local National Health Service Hospital one day a week and enjoy photography, reading, writing, visiting museums and historic sites and buildings. I’ve also supported our local EFL team, Burton Albion for over 50 years.
I’ve always had a passion for writing and started to write my first novel when I was 17 years old, which incidentally is this one, ‘The Sol 3 Agenda’ which I’ve finally completed. My first novel ‘Divided Empire’, a historical thriller set in late 4th Century CE Roman Britain was published in 2015 and its sequel 'Dark Betrayal' in 2016. Both were published by what is now Lume Books.
The will be a sequel to ‘The Sol 3 Agenda’, ‘The Sword of Light’.

Author’s Notes
The Sol 3 Agenda is of course a work of fiction set in an alternative Earth with its own history completely different to our own. Some of the towns and cities are familiar to our own, but you will not find Trentbury on any map of the UK, although it’s loosely based upon a Midlands town. My wife says she prefers the shopping in Trentbury to where we live.
As regards the events depicted in the book, the Falklands War did take place in 1982, although in reality the UK were successful in liberating the Falkland Isles from Argentinian rule. It could have easily gone the way depicted in The Sol 3 Agenda however, as there were reports that one of the Royal Navy’s aircraft carriers was to be sold to the Australian Government in 1981. Fortunately, the sale didn’t occur.
The UK Miner’s Strike did take place 1984-1985 and there were rumours at the time that Military Police were drafted in help break the strike. Whether troops would have eventually been used is not known, but one can well imagine a government that was more right wing than that of Margaret Thatcher, would at least seriously contemplate using troops to break the strike.
Some of the technology in the book is my own invention, though a lot is based on some that exists now or will do so in the near future. Triangular UFOs have long been reported and the Deltoids in the book are based upon them. Of course, Aos Si is far superior to ours and science which would be impossible under our laws of physics is achievable by the Aos Si. The Claiomh Solais, is based upon the Oumuamua, the first known interstellar object, which was first detected passing through the Solar System in October 2017 and at the time of writing this book is still doing so. It will finally pass beyond Neptune's orbit in 2022.
Thank you for reading this novel and I hope that you have enjoyed it. If you have, then if you could take the time to leave a review at Amazon, or Goodreads (www.goodreads.com), or better still both, then I’d be very grateful. It helps
independent writers like me such a lot.
