Turtleshift Page 11

“Yeah, almost back to normal “

My turtle looked at my newest Tua. “Would you leave us alone for a while?”

  “Of course,” Scarlet replied.

“I have some clothes for you in the next room. They should fit, and there is food in the kitchen.”

“Thank you, Izzy.” Then we were alone.

“I understand what is happening with you,” Izzy said. She began stripping off jer clothes as she spoke. “The werelion told me befire the wolf-ybrid attacked.”

  “Izzy, you don’t…”

“Quiet, gringo. I’m doing what I feel is the right thing. Don’t ruin it.”

I kept my fool mouth shut and enjoyed the lovely vision before me. Izzy bent to peel hwr tight jeans off. Then she crawled in the bed and pulled the sheet off of me. The damage to my skin was healing, but not yet gone. That didn’t stop my dick from getting hard. My turtle laid on me and pressed her lips to mine. We kissed for a few seconds before she sat up and guided my shaft into her. As she slowly slid down my length I moaned. She sat on my pelvis moving her hips back and forth. I grabebd her shoulders and pulled her down. I kissed her and slid myself in and out. My body wanted to move fast adn hard, to fill my turtle with my seed as quickly as possible. I didn’t give in. I longed for this fo so long that I wasn’t going to let it finish quickly.

However, she felt wonderfull wrapped around my shaft, her breasts pressed against my chest, her tongue dancing with mine. I flipped up us over and moved down sliding slowly out of her warmth. My lips traced kisses down her torso going between her breasts adn down her flat belly. I stopped when my body was between her legs and mymouth was over her sex. I carressed, and licked her folds and clit until her back arched and she grabbed my head pulling my face against her slick folds. I licked while she ground her sex against me.

When she finished I moved back up her body kissing back up the trail intil I was between her breasts. I moved to her right breast and took her nipple in my mouth. Izzy moaned and ran her hand through my hair. The feel of her hard nipple in my mouth and the taste of her skin caused my dick to throb. I moved to her other nipple ignoring the deep born desire to enter her and fill her. It had to last longer, had to make her feel good about this decision. I needed my turtle, my Izzy to feel no regrets about this decision.

I moved up and slid the tip into her. Slow as I possibly could, I slid into my Tua until I was all the way in. I ground my hips against hers enjoying the feel of being inside of her. She wrapped her arms around me and whispered in my ear. “Fuck me.”

it was like a switch was flipped in me. I positioned myself and gave her what she wanted. We moved in time with each other, me thrusting and her rocking back and forth. We gradually increased our pace until Izzy was moaning loud and an orgasm hit her. The sounds she made, the feel of her, and the increased pressure around my shaft was too much and I joined her.

We laid next to each other while our bodies cooled from the exertion. Being with Izzy felt right, more than right. The anger and confusion plaguing me melted away. Well, most of it. There was a bit of it left, but I figured it would drain away.

“Do the burns still hurt?” Izzy asked.

“Not too much, and they are getting better every second.”

  “Good. I’m hungry.”

I watched my turtle stand, dress and leave without another word. I was once more confused, but not for reasons I didn’t understand. This time it stemmed from the peculiar behavior of my Tua. My expectation was a little cuddling before we did anything else. Not the cold shoulder as she left. What was happening? Why couldn’t Izzy be as easy as his other Tua.

“No, don’t think like that,” I said to myself. “Izzy is her own person with her own personality. I appreciate her for who she is.” And I meant it.

I dressed anf gound my turtke in the kitchen area of our large hotwl suite. The mages sat at the table chatting amongst themelves. Izzy quietly ate her meal of spagetti and meatballs.

“Hello, Terry,” Monica said. “How are you feeling?”

“Much better, thank you. Where did the grub come from?” I asked pointing to the plate in front of Izzy.

“Room service,” Scarlet said. “I hope you don’t mind?”

“No, not at all. Is it good?”

“Very much so,” Darryl said. “Have a seat and I will grab you some.”

As I sat, Darryl stood. He went to the counter and removed a stainless steel dome shaped cover from a large platter. He pulled a plate from the cabinet and scooped a good sized helping of noodles and meat on the plate and smothered it in red sauce.

“Do you mind if I ask some questions while you eat?” Monica asked.

“Not at all,” I said. This conversatuon wasbound to happen and I welcomed it. Monica seemed like a woman who cared deeply for her kids , and would be curious about Scarlet and I.

“How does this bond between you and Scarlet work?”

I spared a glance for Izzy ad Monica asked. My expectation was rage, or about building a harem. She stared off into space and mechanically shoveled a fork full of food in her mouth.

“Basically, it allows us to share energy. I did it so I could borrow energy from my pack and funnel it to her.”

  “To what end?” Monica asked.

  “To facilitate faster healing.”

“That makes sense considering what I witnessed. What about the glow?”

“I don’t know, that one is new to me. I would guess that her being a mage means she utilizes the power I send her differently from the Lycans.”

  “That makes sense.”

“Here it comes,” Scarlet sent to my mind. “I asked her not to go here, but she is going to. No matter what. I’m sorry.”

“What about the fiery explosion? Do I have to worry about that happening again and killing one of my children?” Her expression was cold and I knew the foundation of our relationship was being poured.

“No, that was unexpected and I will not let that happen again. I am sorry for hurting Scarlet. I don’t know how it was possible with that ability still being on a cooldown. Either way, I think I have the issue worked out now.”

Izzy looked at me briefly, but said nothing. We would have to talk when she waa as up for it.

“Please see that it doesn’t. What’s this about a cooldown?”

Taking a few minutes, I explained to her how the game system the bracelets created worked and what I meant by there being a cooldown. She took it in strides and seemed to grasp the concept quickly.

  “What happens next?” Scarlet asked.

“Back to the original plan, I guess. The wolves will escort you home and Izzy and I will continue our mission.”

  “Can I come?” Scarlet asked.

“Scar!” Darryl shouted. “No way, it’s not safe.”

Scarlet didn’t say a word. She raised her right hand and it took on a blue glow. Water surged from the faucet and flew across the room like a thin tencicle. Another came from the bathroom down the hall, then another from the master bath. The tendrils circled Scarlet and covered her from head to toe. The water took on the shape of thick armor from a fantasy video game then froze. The blue and white of the ice obscured her underneath. Every inch was covered except for thin layer of ice over here eyes that was crystal clear.

“As long as I pump power into this armor it will hold up against anything,” Scarlet said.

  Chapter 18

Izzy drove her car with Scarlet in the front passenger seat and me sitting behind the mage. My turtle hadn’t objected to the mage coming, nor had she agreed. She shrugged and we left.

“Are you alright?” I sent to Izzy.

“Yeah. Focus on the mission. I’m fine.”

Growing up, my neighbor told me more than once that if a woman said she was fine, then she wasn’t. But, she probably needed time to work things out. Let her have that time and ask again later if she doesn’t bring up the issue. Since he was married for almost seventy years before he passed away, I though
t he might know what he was talking about.

While we drove, there was something useful, I could do. I opened my character screen and went to work seeing what having a mage Tua would do for me.

Opening my windows for my abilities and my Tua’s skills came with an unexpected surprise. A notification flashed over the other windows.

  Warning!

You have tamed a non lycan Tua. The effects may be catastrophic, or fantastic depending on the variety of human tamed.

I felt a little fear at my decision and considered dropping Scarlett right then. I let that thought go when I remembered seeing her glow like a night light. Something new and strange was happening, but I couldn't say for sure it was bad. With my decision made, I closed the notification and was greeted by another that gave me hope that I was making the correct decision.

A Hydro-Mage has been added to you pack. As a result, all of your Tua take on the aspect of water. The results of the water aspect are listed below:

The body is 70% water, healing is improved by 60%.

Your Tua gain the ability to filter oxygen out of water when submerged.

Your Tua are impervious to extreme cold.

Your Tua have a fifth tree unlocked giving them access to limited Hydro abilities.

That rocked me. Not only were my Tua enhanced just from being Tua, now they were uber Tua. For the first time I felt like we really had a chance of winning this unofficial war. It was time to get stronger starting with Scarlet.

When I opened the Tua window there was a Hydro-Mage tab which I expected. What I didn’t expect were a completely different set of skills.

Hydro-Mage skill at the bottom of the trees from left to right.

  Water Manipulation School:

Unlock the water Manipulation School giving you Hydro-Mage greater control over the form of water. Unlocks Water blade specialty.

  Cost Already Purchased

  Cost 1 Point.

  Blood Manipulation School:

  Cost 1 Point.

Game changer. Scarlett was already stronger than her brother and he was a powerhouse according to her. I guessed it had something to do with her already having points spent. That was great, but I was only left with one point to allocate. Vapor Adept School it was. Blood Manipulation felt a little too dark side.

Unlike my Lycan Tua, there was a block to the right of the skill trees. I checked it out.

  List of know spells:

  Water Manipulation:

  Water Blades.

Caster can create blades of any shape or size. Caster is limited by their imagination and the water available.

  Hydro Beam.

  Ice Armor.

Caster can surround themselves in ice armor. Armor is limited by the caster’s imagination and the amount of available water.

  Frozen Touch.

Caster can slow the molecules of anything they touch reducing its temperature drastically. Has a chance to freeze the target solid.

  Vapor Adept School:

  Vapor Form.

Casted can turn their body into vapor and manipulate their form to move where they wish.

  Vapor Defense.

Castor can activate an automatic Vapor Form that is triggered by damage taken reducing the amount of damage taken to zero.

Scarlett is a badass. I needed her to level up so we could see what else she could do. There was one thing I didn’t understand. The second tier skills above those already purchased was not open to view like with my other Tua. I figured time would tell.

It was time to see what I could purchase for myself with a Hydro-Mage as my Tua. There was a sphere for the Hydro-Mage which was a relief. I half expected there to not be one. I selected it and it opened like a four petal flower. Each petal was an ability I could purchase.

The Choice was an easy one with 3 points to spend. I purchased healing effect, Frost effect, And vapor effect. Maybe I was conditioned from Years of fantasy novels, But blood magic just seem wrong. That didn't matter now since my points were gone and I had none left to spend.

I closed the windows to find Scarlett turned around in her seat facing me. “What the hell was that,” She asked.

“Remember me talking about the the game like system that allows me to manage my powers, and that of my Tua?”

“Yeah?” She said by way of question.

“Well, I just allocated your points. Strangely enough, two had already been spent. I think that is how you were able to call the water to you and form the armor.”

“Reall? That’s fascinating. Tell me more.”

I began to tell her about the skills she possessed. A few words in and he unbuckled herself then crawled ver the center console and into the back seat. I paused giving her the time to get seated and comfortable before continuing. She ate it up like I was feeding her strawberry shortcake. After describing her spells she used them all in a small scale giving me a brief demonstration. With water from a bottle she carried she made a knife then froze it. After, she liquified the knife and shot a small blue beam at the empty bottle on the floor. She clapped and laughed when the plastic cylinder jumped as if it had been hit by a bullet. Thespent water pooled at our feet so she recalled it and formed a gauntlet around her forearms that hardened into ice. Sheheld up her left arm and caused it to become mist then solidify.

“This is so, cool. I thought I was stronger than my brother before, but this, this is amazing.”

“I’m glad you like it,” I said.

Izzy looked at me through the rearview mirror and I thought I saw worry in her eyes. As her eyes were all I could see, I wasn’t sure. A moment to concentrate on her and I had my answer, she was worried,

“What’s wrong?” I sent to Izzy through our link.

“Nothing. Just keep an eye on her. I don’t much trust mages.”

“I’ll promise keep an eye on her if you promise to fill me in on why you don’t trust them later. Deal?”

  “Fine,” she thought back.

There was that word again. The one that signaled she was not fine, but did the same hold true in this context? I left her alone since she didn’t seem to want to talk.

“Were you talking to Izzy just now?” Scarlett asked through our mental link.

  “I was.”

  “About me?”

“Yes.” I wasn’t sure if sharing that was a good idea, but I wanted to be honest with all my Tua, and part of me felt like it was my place to say what I wanted, when I wanted. No, that wasn’t right.

“I know she doesn’t trust me. There is history between mages and Lycans. Not a pleasant one at that. Most of them distrust us, and for god reason.”

  “Why?” I asked.

“It goes back to the Mage Hunter thing. Some got it in their heads that all Lycans were Mage Hunters. That wasn’t true, and now we know that you weren’t Mage Hunters at all. Your kind was just better suited to the task.”

“Did the Lycans retaliate?” I asked. None of the Lycans I knew seemed like the type to let wholesale slaughter go unchallenged.

“They sure did. There was a small war for a while. Acasha stopped it, if I’m not mistaken. Mage history is not a subject taught in school. You have to have the right book, or know someone willing to tell all. My Father knew some of what happened and shared it with me.” I felt a current of sadness from Scarlett after mentioning her Father. I didn’t blame her. The loss of her Father was not old and she had to be feeling a lot of pain from it. What really surprised me was how well she handled it. Scarlett was stronger than I knew, and maybe stronger than she knew.

“How did she stop it?” I sent through our link to hopefully get her mind off her Father.

“From what he told me, she made a pact with some high level mages. That pact led to peace, or maybe a truce, between Lycans and Mages.” She fell silent for amoment then met my gaze.”There is something else you should know, Terry.”
