“She has a separate account with her married name on it. That’s where the money is going from Onyx’s dad for doing everything she’s been doing since Onyx joined the band. Isabella’s been behind everything, including the letters being sent to her,” I tell everyone.

“My guy is workin’ on the numbers you gave us,” Lash says, holding the phone away from his ear. “As soon as he has a location near water, he’s lettin’ me know and we’ll fly out of here to go get her.”

“I’m going with you. I’ll take the SUV because we don’t know if she’s going to be able to get on the back of a bike or what shape we’ll find her in,” I tell him.

Lash nods his head as he listens to the man on the other end of the phone. He’s only grunting out answers now and then. As I turn to look at the rest of the guys, I see every man from the MC pulling out their weapon and making sure they’re ready to go. There’s guns, knives, and ammunition sitting all over the table as the guys make sure they’re prepared for whatever is about to happen when we find Onyx.

For the first time since this all happened, I let the hope bubble to the surface and silently let Onyx know we’re coming for her. Taking a seat, I’m just waiting on Lash to give us the go-ahead to leave.

“Coming with you,” Diesel tells me.

  “Me too,” Memphis says.

Damon, Tyson, and Byron also let me know they’re going with us. We’ll be taking two SUVs if they’re going to go too. Otherwise, we won’t be able to all fit once we have Onyx in the SUV with us.

“I’ll drive one SUV,” Sabotage offers, knowing we’ll need to take two and I’ll be in no shape to drive.

“Knight, call the Detective on the case and let him know we have a possible location. We can get there faster than he can, but you can hand the phone over when we all meet up and they can take matters into their hands when they have the evidence,” Lash tells me. “Let’s ride!”

We all file from the bus and run to whatever we’re riding in on our way to find Onyx. I watch as Isabella runs toward us and we all ignore her. There’s a fleeting moment of panic on her face as I slam the door to the SUV shut and block her from my mind.

I’m riding with Sabotage as I call Detective Michaels. I let him know where we’re going from what Lash said and that we’re not waiting for him to get to us. He can meet us there. He reluctantly agrees as he’s being held by red tape while we can just go and hope to hell we don’t get stopped by any cops on our way there.

  Chapter Thirty-Three

  Onyx

TIME ELUDES ME. I have no clue how long I’ve been gone now. I’m freezing, I’ve been throwing up, I’m in pain, I’m exhausted even though I seem to keep passing out. The men have been in here a few times. They taunt me and give me scraps to eat. I’ve had a few sips of water and I don’t want anything else.

Pain hasn’t left my body as every single time one of the men come in they kick or hit me. I should feel lucky they’ve only kicked and hit my torso and back, I guess, but the pain is almost unbearable as it shoots through me. I’m thinking that’s why I keep getting sick, but I can’t be sure of anything right now.

“When is this asshole getting here?” one of the men asks.

It sounds as if he’s standing right outside the door. I listen in to try to find one piece of information that’s useful. I’m not sure what I’d do with it because I don’t have a phone or anything like that.

“Tomorrow, I think. Keep your fucking pants on,” another guy says.

“That bitch is hot and if she can put out for a fucking scumbag like that singer, then she can certainly fucking put out for me,” the first man says.

“Chill. We can’t hurt her. Too bad,” the second man says, laughing a maniacal laugh. “Wait for the others to go out to get dinner then you can take your time.”

No! I can’t let this happen.

So far I’ve been able to tolerate the kicks and hits. If they rape me, I won’t be able to come back from that. Ignoring the pain in my side and ribs, I jolt up and try to find something to get me out of these fucking cuffs and shackle. I’ll abuse my body more if it means I can get the hell out of here.

This time, I don’t simply pull the hood up over my eyes, I rip it from my head with one hand. Pain shoots through me and I have to take a few minutes to get my breath back.

Once I can breathe again, I sift the dirt around and try to find anything I can use to get unlocked. Panic is threatening to overtake me and silent sobs wrack my body. Knight is the only thing I see in my mind as I look frantically for anything. The only things I manage to find are rocks, rotting bones, and other debris that won’t help me get free.

As I’m searching the pain becomes so unbearable, everything begins to blur and fade from sight. Soon I’m surrounded by blackness as I slump over and don’t have a chance to pull the hood back over my head.

I’m woken up by yelling in the other room. My head is pounding, my side is throbbing, and the first thing I do is get sick. Again. There’s arguing and I can hear guns faintly being cocked as I inch as close to the door as I can get. It’s not much, but it’s better than waiting to find out a ton of different men are coming here to do worse to me.

One voice sticks out above the rest. It’s Knight— my Knight.

“Where the fuck is she?” Knight yells out. “Answer me now or I’ll let these men shoot you all where you stand and we’ll search the fucking building ourselves.”

“You got no business here. I suggest you leave before we take you all out and bury your bodies with the fucking fish,” one of men says.

There’s laughter amongst Knight and whoever he has with him. I hear the first gunshot explode and I try to cover myself so I don’t accidently get hit. After the first shot fired, there’s complete and total silence. I wait to see what’s going to happen next and pray Knight has enough men with him to stop these men and get me the hell out of here.

Suddenly, the door bursts open and falls to the ground. Knight fills it and I can’t stop the tears from pouring down my face as I pick my head after a minute to look at him. Relief fills me as Sabotage and the rest of the guys file in behind him. Knight rushes to me and the last thing I hear before passing back out is him yelling for the keys to unlock me.

  Chapter Thirty-Four

  Knight

WE MANAGE TO make it to the abandoned warehouse they’re holding Onyx in just under five hours. The entire time, I’m silent and in my own head about the condition we’re going to find my woman in. Sabotage leaves me to it and lets me have this time.

I hear him on the phone with both someone in his club and Detective Michaels. I’m so far in my own head I can’t even pay attention to the conversations he’s having because the only thing on my mind is getting to Onyx before anything else happens to her. She’s been missing for over twenty-four hours and that’s more than enough time to torture her significantly. Even being on the road for six hours.

Time stands still as we speed down the highway toward another small town where Onyx is being held. Apparently they figured if they took her several hours from the venue we were at we wouldn’t find him. Well, we did find her and it won’t be much longer because we’re not that far from her now.

“You ready for this?” Sabotage asks me.

“I want my girl home and we’re gonna get her,” I respond.

“Yeah, but are you ready for what we could be walkin’ into?” he asks me again.

“I don’t care what they’ve done to her. The only thing that matters is we get her back and get her the help she’s going to need to get through this,” I tell him honestly.

“Maybe you should wait in the SUV for us to get to her,” Sabotage tells me.

“No fucking way in hell!” I yell out, hitting the dashboard in front of me. “I’ll be the first one to lay eyes on her. I know you care about her, Sabotage, but I have to do this.”

Sabotage nods his head and continues to drive. We’ve got guys in front of us on bikes, the second SUV b
ehind us, and then more bikes behind that SUV. I don’t focus on any of them. My sole focus is a smiling and happy Onyx from the last time we went out on our own.

Then my mind shifts to the traitorous bitch Isabella. She’s going to get everything she has coming for her and I hope she ends up rotting in fucking prison for the part she played in this shit. Isabella is the entire reason my fiancé was taken from me and the reason we didn’t know where she was for over a full day. The bitch could’ve told us at any point in time where she was but she was only worried about her pay day and getting me to herself.

It would be different if I had given her a clue or had sex with her before Onyx came into the picture. But I honestly feel as if I was always choosing a random bitch to take home to show her I didn’t want anything to do with her. The only relationship we ever had was a professional one and that’s how I want to keep it. Isabella does nothing for me.

We finally pull into the warehouse, not caring about them hearing us pull in. There’s an older model SUV sitting in front of it as we all climb out of the SUVs or off bikes. The guys in the MC pull their weapons out and hold them in front of them while we make our way to the door.

“Let us go in first Knight,” Lash tells me. “We’ve got the guns and we can make sure they don’t aim at you guys.”

I nod my head as adrenaline begins to pump through my body. Lash stands on one side of the door while Dagger fits on the other one. The rest of us take sides in case bullets fly from the door as Sabotage kicks it in. We all file in and see five men standing in the room.

Shock and fury show on their faces as they turn to face us head on.

“Where the fuck is she?” I yell out. “Answer me now or I’ll let these men shoot you all where you stand and we’ll search the fucking building ourselves.”

“You got no business here. I suggest you leave before we take you all out and bury your bodies with the fucking fish,” one of men says.

We all begin to laugh as the man tries to act as if he’s part of the fucking mafia or cartel. Sabotage aims close to one of the men and pulls the trigger. They all stand extremely still to wait and see what’s going to happen now. One of the men points to a door barely hanging on the hinges.

I immediately go to the door as the rest of the guys begin to tie up the men who kidnapped my woman. They’re placing zip ties around their wrists and gagging them so we don’t have to hear their mouths.

Pausing just briefly at the door, I kick it in because I don’t know if it’s locked or not. I’m not a biker or anything like that, but nothing is going to get between Onyx and myself right now.

As the door flies open and falls to the floor, I see my woman lying on the floor curled into a ball. Her body is as still as I’ve ever seen someone and I immediately think the worst. When she looks up at me, tears are streaming from her eyes and relief fills me.

Without delaying any longer, I rush to Onyx’s side. She passes out just as I reach her. And I want to pull her up in my arms but I notice she’s not only handcuffed but she’s also shackled. What the absolute fuck?

“Someone get me the fucking keys to unlock her!” I yell out.

Sabotage runs from the room as I hear sirens starting to penetrate the air. There’s grunts and groans as he looks for the guy holding the keys to unlock Onyx from her prison. That’s what she’s been in— a fucking prison, until whoever is coming to get her shows up. And I’m pretty sure that person is her dad and she’ll be trading one prison for another one, this time a much worse one.

As he runs back into me, we get Onyx unlocked while I hear Lash talking to someone in the other room. I don’t care who’s out there, but I know we need to get an ambulance here or something because Onyx isn’t waking up.

“Onyx!” I yell, carefully pulling her into my arms. “Wake up, baby. Please.”

The only noise from her is a groan when I lift her in my arms and go to stand up. It may not be the best move, but she needs to be seen by someone and I’m not waiting any longer than I have to. We’ll take her to the fucking hospital ourselves if we have to.

“Fuck!” I hear Sabotage yell as I finally stand up with his and Diesel’s help.

“What?” I ask, starting to move from the room.

“Her side is bruised to hell. Looks like it leads around to her stomach. Dark as fuck boot prints,” he answers me.

A lone tear slips from my eye as I carefully maneuver her through the busted doorway. Detective Michaels and Armstrong are standing in front of the men zip tied. I tell Diesel to reach in my pocket and grab the phone they need to take with them too. One of the men about loses his shit as Diesel hands the phone over.

“How did you come across this?” Michaels asks me.

“Isabella thought she was going to pull something on me last night when I was passed out drunk. She stripped down to nothing and when I woke up she was trying to get my jeans off me. After getting her out of my room, I went back to sleep and found it when I woke up again. No one stole it from her or anything like that,” I tell him. “Now, can we please get out of here. I need to get her to the hospital and find out what’s wrong with her.”

“Go. We’ll meet you there after we take care of this shit,” he answers.

Half of us rush from the warehouse and make our way to the SUVs. Martin opens the back door for me and I slide in with Onyx still in my arms. After shutting the door, Martin climbs in the passenger seat while Sabotage climbs in the driver’s seat. Dagger, Lock, and Razer climb on their bikes and lead us to the hospital.

I’m not sure how they know where to go, but I’m not gonna question it either. The sooner we get there, the better Onyx will be.

I lean down and place a kiss on her temple.

“I’m never leaving you again,” I tell her quietly.

I don’t take my eyes off Onyx as Martin turns around in the seat and places his hand on her arm. It’s almost as if he needs to reassure himself she’s with us since she can’t talk right now.

Briefly, I meet his eyes and see his filled with tears. This man has never cried since I met him years ago and yet this woman is bringing it out in him. Everyone Onyx meets gets wrapped around her little finger and she doesn’t even try to do it. Well, with the exception of Isabella. But that bitch is crazy as hell as far as I’m concerned.

Onyx groans again and I try to keep her still. I don’t want to do any damage to her body other than what’s already been done, but I can’t let her go either, and there’s really nowhere to put her that she won’t be in more danger of getting hurt from rolling around. So, my arms is where she’s going to stay until we get her to the hospital.

“We’ll be there in a few minutes,” Sabotage tells us. “Less than five.”

I nod my head as I lift my eyes to see we’re speeding through town and the bikes are still leading our way. I’ve been so focused on my woman I didn’t even hear the rumble of their pipes like I do now.

Finally, I see the hospital come into view and Sabotage parks right in front of the door. As Martin helps me out with Onyx in my arms, Sabotage runs inside to get a nurse or something. Just as I get out, there’s a hospital bed and several hospital employees running out to meet us.

“Sir, we’re gonna have to take her from you now,” one of the ladies says. “Place her down on the bed.”

Gently, I place Onyx on the bed and watch helplessly as they race her back inside the building.

“Come with me and we’ll get the paperwork taken care of so you can go back and see her,” a young woman says with a smile on her face.

I don’t know why the fuck she’s smiling. There’s nothing to smile about today as far as I’m concerned. There won’t be until I know Onyx is okay and she can come home.

“We’ll wait out here in case someone comes out,” Martin lets me know.

I nod my head and follow the woman to a small office where she pulls up several forms and asks me a million and one questions. Thankfully I can answer most of them. All except anything rev
olving around insurance. I don’t think she has any. But It’s not like we won’t be able to pay for it.

As soon as I’m done answering her questions and she does what she needs to do, I make my way out to the waiting room and take up a seat next to Martin. No one’s been out to see them yet. Now it’s time to hurry up and wait for an update on her.

The only reason I’m not flipping my shit is because I know she’s getting the help she needs right now and soon I’ll be back there with her. Onyx is never going to leave my sight again if I have anything to say about it. And as soon as possible Isabella will be gone from our lives and we won’t have to worry about her ever again.

  Chapter Thirty-Five

  Onyx

I KNOW I’M not with my captors any longer, but I can’t help continuously picturing them getting their hands on me and doing more damage than they’ve already done to me. Of them fulfilling their promise to rape me and torture me more than the kicks and hits they got in. They didn’t give a shit about what my father wanted them to do or if he only got bits and pieces of me back. As long as I was still alive and he could get his hands on my money.

“No!” I scream out as I try to shake off the feelings of putting their hands on me or anything else they could’ve done. “Stop! Leave me alone.”

“Baby, I’m here. It’s me and they can’t hurt you anymore,” Knight tells me.

He places kisses on my head, my cheeks, my lips, and wraps his arms carefully around me. I grip the front of his shirt and pull him even closer to me on the small hospital bed.

“Baby, you need to watch your IV and everything you’re hooked up to,” he tries to reason with me.

“What’s going on in here?” a nurse yells out coming in my room.

“She was having a nightmare. I’m trying to get her to calm down,” Knight tells her.

“Do you need something to help you sleep?” the nurse asks me.
