  “You like me fresh.”

  “I like you naked, too, but we can’t have it all, can we?”

  “According to your mother’s wise words, no.” I smile.

  He closes the small gap between us and gently runs his hands down my arms. “I meant what I said,” he says softly. “I do have it all. Everything I could ever want, right here, in my hands. I love you, Miss Banks.” He kisses my nose, his lips making their way south, to my mouth. “Can I be your man?”

  “You’re such a stubborn pain in my arse.” I grin against his lips. “You couldn’t just stay and run your ship. You had to come all this way and turn on the charm. And now I can’t say no to you. I’ll never be able to say no to you ever again.”

  He thumbs at my bottom lip and dips down to slip his tongue against mine. “Do you want to?”

  “No.”

  “Ha.”

  I pinch his arm.

  “Thought so.”

  “Tanner?” I lean into him, pressing my forehead into the crook of his neck. A laugh escapes. “Will you be my man?”

  Strong arms suddenly lift me up, and radiant, cerulean eyes bear down on me, basking me in warmth. “I thought you’d never ask.”

  Tanner carries me inside the airport, and I’m lost. Lost in Tritan’s eyes, lost in the sea and the sun. As far as I’m concerned, he owns them both, along with my heart.
