  About the Author

  Judith Silverthorne is the author of four previous books, including two novels for young readers. The Secret of Sentinel Rock won the Saskatchewan Book Award for Children’s Literature in 1996. Dinosaur Hideout won the same award in 2003, and is a finalist in the Diamond Willow (Grades 4-6) category of the Saskatchewan Young Readers Choice Awards in 2004.

  Judith has also written two books about Saskatch-ewan craftspeople: a biography, Made in Saskatchewan: Peter Rupchan, Ukrainian Pioneer and Potter, and Ingrained Legacy: Saskatchewan Pioneer Woodworkers, 1870-1930.
