She nodded as best she could with Rentar’s cock in her mouth.
Loax entered her with one hard drive. The stretch made her moan, but the fullness was amazing. They moved together, filling her at both ends, then pulling nearly out. She was trapped between them, impaled with hot, hard cocks. Her breasts swung, bedspread teasing her nipples with each thrust. It was easily the most erotic thing she’d ever done, and she suddenly wondered if thirty days of this was going to be enough.
“You’re right,” Loax muttered. “I’m not going to last.” He reached between her thighs and rubbed her clit.
Rentar matched Loax’s frantic pace, pushing his entire length into her mouth before pulling his hips back. One thrust went so deep she gagged, but he kept right on going. Tears gathered in her eyes, but she wasn’t sure why she was crying. They weren’t hurting her, just taking her, using her… and she loved it! She felt lightheaded, intoxicated by her helplessness, but as with every sexual experience of her life, the pleasure was tainted by shame. Even in death, her grandmother held unwanted power over Amanda’s life.
“Fuck!” Loax pounded into her with short, frantic strokes.
She braced her knees, keeping herself from sliding forward.
Rentar didn’t follow his lead this time, but maintained his long, fluid rhythm.
Loax grabbed her hips and buried himself deep inside her, shuddering repeatedly as he came. His seed felt unusually hot as it jetted, and intense tingles erupted, triggered by the alien fluids spurting from his cock. Her inner muscles rippled and tension gathered, pushing her right to the brink of orgasm.
“Don’t fight it, love,” Rentar encouraged. “Come for us. Come now!” Then he threw his head back and spilled his seed down her throat, ensuring that she obeyed.
Amanda cried out around his bucking cock, reflexively swallowing over and over. Fiery sensations sank deeper inside her, then spread outward. She felt consumed from the inside out. Pleasure pulsed through her entire body. Her skin tingled and her head reeled. She licked Rentar hungrily and then sucked hard, wanting more. Her pussy was just as greedy, tightening around Loax’s shaft, demanding every last drop of his cum.
When the sensory downpour finally faded, they collapsed onto the bed in a tangle of naked legs and heaving chests. Amanda stared into nothingness, stunned. What had they done to her? Sex had never been like this.
No one spoke. Loax sprawled on one side of her while Rentar lay on the other. After long, silent moments, their rhythmic breathing told her they were asleep. She carefully scooted off the foot of the bed and ran into the bathroom, desperately needing a few minutes alone.
She avoided the mirror, not wanting to see what their vigorous activities had done to her. Rentar’s taste lingered in her mouth and the dull ache between her thighs brought Loax’s stern image into her mind. But another image easily usurped his. She saw Grandma Nellie shaking her head, disappointment and disapproval obvious in her expression.
You’re a good girl, Amanda, and good girls don’t think about sex. The familiar insistence echoed through her head. Sex is a necessary evil. Only whores and deviants abandon themselves to those sorts of desires. With great effort, she pushed the memories away and focused on the present.
What was she going to do? This was such a cluster.
She’d known sex was unavoidable when she stepped onto the shuttle. Sex was the reason they’d sent for her. But she’d intended to stay distanced, to experience physical pleasure, indulge her fantasies, without involving her emotions. How incredibly naive. She’d only been here a matter of hours and already she felt connected to the handsome Ventori. They were aggressive and demanding, yet they were fiercely protective and caring too. Their reaction to her story was humbling. She was a temporary employee. Why should they care if she was in danger?
She could not allow herself to grow attached to them. It would only make leaving more painful, and she still intended to leave. She was here for a very specific purpose, to escape Asesino de Tormenta long enough for her father to testify. It was unlikely the trial would be over in thirty days or that the trouble would magically disappear once the trial concluded. Still, it was a start.
Now she just had to survive the next thirty days. As tempting as it was to linger, she couldn’t risk staying longer. If she submitted to their intense brand of pleasure for two full years, it would doubtlessly change her in ways she could barely imagine. No, the thirty-day clause was her only option, which meant she had to find a way to enjoy the pleasure while holding her true self back.
Chapter Three
Loax folded his hands behind his head and glared at his brother. “You’ve enjoyed our pet, now get back to work. This ship doesn’t run itself.”
Rentar rolled off the bed and found his discarded pants before responding to the provocation. “Still angry, I take it. The ploy didn’t work. She figured out what I was trying to do.”
“I’m aware.” Throwing a pillow behind his back, Loax leaned against the headboard. Ventori Defenders were unconcerned with nudity. Modesty was a luxury unattainable on warships. Soldiers bunked together, showered together, and often fucked while others watched. The confines of a spaceship made privacy impossible for everyone but the officers. “Why did you feel the need to belittle me in front of Amanda? This isn’t a competition. We agreed to share her.”
“Females always fall in love with you. They sense your wounded spirit and are desperate to fix you. Even when you treat them like shit.”
The assessment earned Rentar another glare. “Females might enjoy my intensity for a time, but you’re the one they want to take home to Mommy.”
Rentar finished dressing in tense silence. He tugged on his last boot then faced Loax. “I’m sorry. My attempt to trick our companion was unfair to you and her. I’m glad it didn’t work.”
Loax accepted the apology with a nod, then let the incident go. His life was too tightly interwoven with Rentar’s to allow trivial resentments to fester. Craving supremacy over a female was instinctual for Ventori males. Years of necessity had changed the status quo, not some natural inclination toward sharing. “I’ll make sure she gets some sleep. You’ll have all day with her tomorrow.”
“As long as I want to go without sleep,” Rentar pointed out. “We’ll have to work out some sort of rotation, so we both get to sleep with her.” He chuckled at his own words. “And I do mean sleep. Sex doesn’t require a rotation because many of the sessions will include us both.”
“She’s never done anal,” Loax warned. “We’ll have to work with her before we fuck her together.”
Rentar’s smile turned wicked. “If that’s a problem for you, I’ll happily break her in.”
“I fucked her pussy first, so I think you should be the first to fuck her ass. However, I want to be there when you do it.”
“All right.” Rentar looked at the bathroom door then ran his fingers through his hair. “I better get going or I’ll never make it out of here. She’s too damn tempting.”
Once his brother had gone, Loax crawled off the bed and crossed to the beverage dispenser. The Aganista was one of the biggest ships in the Ventori fleet, but it was also one of the oldest. Newer ships dispensed food and beverages in their cabins. The Aganista only dispensed drinks. He ordered two glasses of viskara and set them on his nightstand. Then he opened one of the compartments under the bed and retrieved a mesh box of sex paraphernalia. His cock hardened just thinking about all of the things he could—and would—do with their carnal companion.
As if summoned by his thoughts, the bathroom door opened and Amanda returned. She looked around, her hands hovering over her intimate areas as if she couldn’t decide whether to cover herself or not. He’d have to cure her of that reflex very soon.
“Where’s Rentar?”
Loax hated the uncertainty in her voice. He didn’t want her to fear him. Obey him, yes, but not fear. “I told you, he’s on duty. He was shirking his responsibilities earlier, but
who can blame him? I certainly don’t.” When she only nodded, he motioned toward the nightstand. “I poured you another glass of wine. Are you sure you wouldn’t like something to eat?”
“I’m not hungry.” She cleared her throat, looking everywhere but at him. “Can I have a robe or T-shirt or something? I don’t want to sleep in my dress if I’m going to have to wear it again tomorrow.”
He started to tell her she had no need for clothing, but still felt guilty about spanking her so hard. Rentar was right. She hadn’t earned the punishment. If Loax had simply wanted to establish his dominance over her, he should have been honest about what he was doing. Instead of weakening his position with an apology, he went to his dresser and pulled out one of his undershirts. They were snug on him, but she was tiny by comparison.
“Thank you.” She accepted the garment and immediately put it on.
He could see her nipples through the soft material, but the hem reached mid-thigh, concealing her pussy and ass. Restless hunger churned within him. He wanted her naked and spread out before him, trembling with anticipation.
Rather than walking around the bed, she crawled beneath the covers, then retrieved her wineglass from his nightstand. “What’s in the box?”
“Various items that aid or increase sexual pleasure.”
She hid her reaction by taking a drink of wine.
He sighed, frustrated by her reticence. She’d responded well while Rentar participated, yet now she was shy and unsure. She would never be able to willingly submit unless he earned her trust. The thought made him smile. She’d only been on board a few hours. He was being impatient.
“This can wait.” He returned the box to the compartment under the bed and retrieved a clean pair of underwear from the dresser. He had no problem being naked, but it obviously bothered his companion. After pulling on the single garment he returned to the bedside and picked up his wineglass. “Are you ready for sleep? I can go in the living room for an hour or two.”
She shook her head and tentatively met his gaze. “I really would like to know more about you.”
Sitting at the foot of the bed, he faced her and folded his legs in front of him. The position was far from comfortable. He just wanted her to have enough space to feel less intimidated. “What would you like to know?”
“The markings on your torso and arms—”
“My orvatta?”
“Yes. Do they serve a purpose or are they strictly decorative?”
He shrugged, feeling anything but indifferent. “The orvatta can indicate when a Ventori male is in rut.”
“Does that mean the same thing for the Ventori that it means on Earth?” Her voice was steadier now, her expression curious rather than uncertain.
Pleased by their progress, he answered in more detail than he’d originally intended. “When a Ventori male encounters a potential mate, a female capable of producing offspring with him, his body urges him to take advantage of the opportunity. The orvatta ‘flares,’ becoming unusually sensitive and the color of the markings brighten.”
Her eyes narrowed as if she wanted to say something. Then she shook her head and glanced away. Had she noticed how inflamed his orvatta had become as they had shared pleasure? The reaction had fallen short of an actual flare, but the development was still troubling.
Rather than explore the subject more deeply, he moved on. “According to some, the orvatta also reveals a person’s inner conflict. We once had ‘orvatta readers’ at every harvest festival or weekend celebration.”
“They’re no longer popular?”
Pain stabbed into his chest with unexpected intensity. This was why he avoided anything involving the past, inevitably the subject led to the massacre of his people. “Most orvatta readers were female.” Realization widened her eyes, then compassion warmed her gaze. He didn’t say more, and mercifully, she dropped the subject.
“Has Rentar always been your podmate? How are pods formed?” She glanced at him, then lowered her gaze, then glanced at him again.
“Unless we’re in bed—” He chuckled then clarified, “Unless we’re having sex, I want you to be yourself. Look at me, if you want to, and speak freely, within reason.” Her vibrant blue gaze connected with his and held as a challenging smile curved her lips. So much better.
“Who gets to decide what’s reasonable?”
“Apparently Rentar. If I’m overly strict, he’ll likely burst in here again and take you away from me.”
To his surprise, her smile turned flirty. “And you’ll just let him, or will you fight for me?”
He rocked to his knees, then crawled forward so he could set his glass aside. Still on his knees, he curved one hand around the back of her neck. “I thought you wanted to talk. Would you rather fuck?”
“I want to talk.” She tried to twist out of his grasp, but he didn’t let her go. “I don’t know what made me say that.”
“Sure you do.” He moved his hand to her chin and turned her face toward him. “You enjoyed being shared. It excited you in a way you’d never experienced before. Now you’re curious. Will it still be intense if it’s only me inside you?”
She started to look away, then her expression changed. Her chin lifted, taking his hand with it, and determination filled her gaze. “Yes, I’m curious about you. But it has nothing to do with f-fucking.” She stumbled over the word as if she’d never spoken it before. “I know nothing about you, other than you command this ship and share females with your brother.”
Lowering his arm, he sat as he’d been before, facing her, legs folded in front of him. “Don’t provoke me again until you’re ready for more.”
Tension crackled in the air as they stared at each other. If he pushed the issue, she’d likely surrender, but he wanted more than reluctant acceptance. He wanted her wild and eager for his touch.
“Podmates,” she prompted when the silence became uncomfortable. “How are they chosen?”
He retrieved his wine and continued to study her as he explained. “After the Skarilians harvested our world, the military leaders—”
“Wait. What do you mean by ‘harvested’?” She said the word with such dread. It was obvious she’d guessed the gravity of the situation.
He looked away from her this time. The tragedy wasn’t a secret, but his people avoided the details as often as possible. They were mercenaries now, and learning that a crushing military defeat had motivated the career choice didn’t instill confidence in potential customers.
But Amanda wasn’t a customer, more like an employee. Even that impersonal title felt wrong. She was vibrant and beautiful, intelligent and spirited. Everything a Ventori male looked for in a mate.
The conclusion shocked him. He was not looking for a mate. First and foremost, he had nothing to offer a female. The idea was laughable. Instead of humiliating himself further, he focused on the answer to her question. “The Skarilians attacked Ventor much as they did Earth. We were better able to defend ourselves so the conflict raged on for many months. When it became obvious that the war would not be won by their usual strategies, they resorted to deception.”
She cradled the wineglass between her hands, compassion making her gaze warm and caressing. “What did they do?”
“They retreated and assembled a number of their ships behind a nearby planet. We were as desperate for a victory as they were and foolishly took the bait. The majority of our fleet rushed off to destroy the threat once and for all.” He took a deep breath, then hurried through the rest of the story, determined not to be overwhelmed by the familiar pain. “While we were gone, the rest of their ships decimated every living thing on our planet. When their assault ended, the only Ventori left alive were those serving in the military.”
“But why?” she cried, clearly horrified. “What did the Skarilians gain by slaughtering an entire planet filled with innocent people? It’s irrational.”
“No, it’s efficient. It quickly became obvious that we would
never surrender, so they obliterated our reasons for fighting. After eliminating every living thing, even animals and plants, they systematically stripped our planet of its natural resources.”
She shook her head, unable to speak for a moment. When she regained her voice, she sounded dazed. “That had to have taken time. Did you attack them once you learned what they’d done?”
The question was insulting, but he fought back a wave of anger. She didn’t understand Ventori ways. That was why she’d asked about this in the first place. “Of course we attacked them, and attacked, and attacked. But we’d switched positions. They used our own planetary defense system against us. All they had to do was keep driving us back while their automated equipment ravaged our planet.”
Unshed tears shimmered in her eyes, but she stubbornly blinked them away. “I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine… I don’t even know what to say.”
“Twelve years, and many successful campaigns against the bastards, have helped me adjust to the loss. I’m not sure the pain will ever fade, but it has become more manageable.” He exhaled a long breath, glad to be through the worst of the story. Well, the worst he was willing to share at least. “Still, the massacre changed everything. Without females, my species is destined for extinction. There is no avoiding that reality. We might be lucky enough to produce hybrid children, but full-blooded Ventori offspring are lost to us forever.”
“Female Ventori don’t serve in the military?”
“Of course not. What a ridiculous thought.” Something about his statements made her smile, but they were far off topic. “Our old way of life is gone forever. Our instinct for survival—and revenge—is still incredibly strong. The military leaders soon realized we fight more fiercely and take greater risks when we have a strong emotional connection to those around us. So they started dividing us into smaller, more tightknit groups. Family members were reassigned to the same ship. They were allowed to join the same units. These fighting units gradually became the pod system we use today.”
