  “I will.”

Adam leaned in, leaving Rhea with a lingering kiss.

She allowed herself time to recover before turning toward the train station building. Casting a purposeful glance at Adam, she made another decision; this one about the story she’d started writing on the train.

“It’ll have a happy ending,” Rhea told herself.

He was preoccupied with his cellphone by then. She hollered after him, “See you around, Artist Boy!”

He blew her a kiss in return.

  To be continued . . .

Jewel lives with her husband, two children and their cat in Texas.

She has been writing since the early 1980s and enjoys reading historical fiction, paranormal and romance. Jewel has a long-standing affinity for witches, werewolves, ghosts, vampires, and epic romances. These elements creep out of her pen and bleed through the pages of her stories whether or not she wants them to.

She's been writing love and sex since elementary school (no joke) and has developed a special formula for steamy couples readers root for: Alpha-style leading men who fall in love hard and fast (and on occasion, even unapologetically) with leading ladies who are feisty, head-strong, disinterested in falling in love (until the right man comes along) . . . and at least a little neurotic.

When not writing, Jewel may be found wielding pointy sticks (knitting hats, gloves, and socks) or crocheting and she has even been known to paint the occasional landscape. Those who know her will tell you all about her penchant for pumpkin spice everything, coffee, felines, flowers, and friends.
